Hey guys!! Have taken the big step of coming of the Pill to TTC another DC. This will be DC number 2 - already have DS who is 15 months old and a DSD who is 7 years. We have spoken about another baby for a while now but it has now become more of a reality now that we have decided to stop using any contraception!! I am so so excited but know all too well about this horrible waiting game of patience which seems to get worse even after a BFP as then it's the painful wait for a 12 week scan!! (although this time I may pay for a private scan) I have had a MC before DS was born so am also aware of not getting to ahead of myself...but I'm so excited nonetheless!! I bought my friend a little present for her brand new (with tags on) baby girl and was so so broody. Cant wait for my turn now!!

Sorry for the long warbling post. This is such a hard time, the pre TTC, the waiting for BFP or BFN etc etc...I am the most impatient person in the world as it is...and to not to be able to tell anyone in RL makes it even harder!!

Hope there will be some ladies in the same boat as me!! Look forward to meeting u and sharing journeys!!

Lots of love, Pip xx

Im amazed at anyone who can fall pregnant at the click of a finger!! It really is just down to luck and waiting until it's your turn.
Right, must make a conscious effort to seduce DH a hell of a lot more next month! Out comes the ann summers catalogue Wink

Fishpond · 01/11/2011 19:59

I am in the bookstore and looking at a brilliant book that just came out sour pregnancy. It was released a month ago so has the up to the moment info I should expect. Blush at reading pg books on my day off btw.

Anywho...I have seen more sperm info - 200-300 mill enter the fanjo at release, only 60-80 million will get into the cervix, then just a mere 100,000 get into the empty uterus, and ... Wait for it ... Only 2-300 will enter each Fallopian tube!!! I'm now amazed at the 16 yr olds who fall pregnant by accident.

Vinolover · 01/11/2011 19:50

That's what I thought too :( I do however know somebody who fell pregnant the month they used it so there is hope :) She's the reason I got it.

Sorry for your BFN secret :(

Really Vino? Great. Sad

Vinolover · 01/11/2011 16:38

Ah Fish :( TTC can be a very trying journey and outside factors can really get on top of you! Chin up, it will be so worth it when you meet your little baby. The reason im not taking prenatal vits is for that very reason. They make me bloat out so badly and the wind is awful Blush. I seem to be getting on fine with the b vit complex and zinc though.

I read somewhere that pre-seed can actually infact kill some sperm. Think I'll give it a miss next month and buy some conceive plus. Apparently this is 100% sperm friendly. Don't want to be harming any of the little soldiers Wink.

That's a really good sign secret! How exciting :)

Tequilamockinbat · 01/11/2011 15:59

Thanks Sarah, first response it is then! Fingers crossed the witch stays away for you.

Very un-MN to you Fish. Don't give up, it is hard and may get even harder but we're in this together and we'll come out the other side together. Hopefully in a few months from now we'll all be laughing and joking together on the ante-natal thread Wink

I KEEP TRYING TO WRITE A POST - 3 TIMES NOW AND MN WON'T LET ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAY FROM HELL, I swear I feel like just chucking this whole TTC thing in.

Happy birthday, Cauldron I did want to say that.

Just not a good day at all, no symptoms, freaking gas pains / cramps all week long which I keep hoping are symptoms but I know they're not, what is the point of taking these prenatal vits as there's no baby anyway and all they do is keep making me try to SS and then getting disappointed when it's gas again. Stupid supervisor at work is mad at me for something HE did wrong, he has tried to call me twice on my day off FFS to tell me off about it.

Hating this day. Sad Sad

Sarah5656 · 01/11/2011 14:27

Sparkle coming from a serial tester I would so do a test!
First response say it can detect up to 6 days before Smile

No AF yet, feeling yucky though so think she is on her way Sad
Double the amount of SWI after, which DH will be very pleased about Wink

Tequila first response is supposed to be the most sensitive and Boots have all pregnancy test's buy one get one half price. God it's so temping to buy more, repeat to self, must not test, must not test.

Tequilamockinbat · 01/11/2011 14:12

Well my only pg "symptom" is a bump, but given the timing, I'm fairly sure it's cake SadSmile

Vinolover · 01/11/2011 12:53

It's certainly worth a shot Tequila Got everything crossed for you :)

Tequilamockinbat · 01/11/2011 12:44

Really vino? Ok so looks like a trip to Boots tonight for me.

Will test again in the morning with a different brand.

Vinolover · 01/11/2011 12:40

Tequila I heard that CB didital are not as sensitive as regular tests? I could be wrong but it certainly may be worth buying a regular one and seeing?

I've been having those symptoms secret but mine have vanished now :( Boobs only hurt from me prodding them to see if they hurt and even my bloatedness has gone down, bugger. I thought I was going to meet my porridge again yesterday after I had finished it but have been fine since. Roll on the weekend!!

Bet Mr Cauldron likes those tassles Wink

Tequilamockinbat · 01/11/2011 12:23

sorry to hear everyone is feeling flat. I think the 2ww is aptly named - its a boring wait for crappy AF, especially when you're not feeling any signs whatsoever (like me!)

I agree with Vino, lets just get the next AF over and done with so we can try again! Especially armed with my new opk's.

Cheeser when are you getting married? DP and I went out for dinner last night and had a lovely chat about what sort of thing we wanted. We're hoping DM will be fobbed off happy with a big party a couple of days after the Main Event... Smile

Tequilamockinbat · 01/11/2011 09:43

Happy birthday cauldron!

She's 4 days late. Thanks Vino, your story is giving me hope Smile

I'm using clearblue digital tests. Although have ran out now and next 1 will be a cheapy HCG stick thingy

Sarah5656 · 01/11/2011 09:00

Tequila- keep positive, I have read on MN that some ladies have not tested positive till week or two after AF due Smile
Maybe try a different brand of test.
What brand are you using?

Vinolover · 01/11/2011 08:57

Oh tequila Im so sorry :( How late is she? There is still hope. As I keep saying, it took 6 days to get the faintest of faint lines with my DS. I ended up spending £50 that weekend on tests because I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me!

Yes, Happy birthday cauldron :)

Hope everyone is feeling better today :)
