oh god i just jumped on for a quick catch up and was reading this thinking 'yep baby needs to test' and hey presto!! whoopeeeee excellent news muchos congratulations!!!!

poppy i just want to say i am with you, i stared at the blood on my knickers for ages at my last AF, i just felt sooo numb. Including my MC in March and CP in August we have been TTC for 10 months also, it is shite isnt it? But look at all the BFPs we have had lately, TBH reading this thread and all the BFP's doesnt make me jealous it makes me hopeful we are going to do this Smile

IQ i have every Friday off now i am part time. This morning we went to Sainsbo's then my friends house, rushed back for lunch then IKEA. So we have had a busy day but DS is now giggling at his Mr Men DVD Wink DH is out tonight so i am having a pizza and some wine. I am in the 2WW so should be taking it easy but we only SWI on CD9 and 12, although i O'd on CD11 so we should be in circa the right place.

I am over my wibble from earlier this week, god it was awful, i am hoping that is the last of it, my friend i visited this morning MCd twins at 16 weeks a few years ago so she is good comfort. We had a good natter and lots of jaffa cakes so all is well Grin

That's agood point Mr Blue makes Smile. My boss is off sick at the mo so I had to tell a bigger boss about pg today, as I felt too sick to make the 2.5 hour journey (including train and station change) to our head office this morning. But I know he'll keep it to himself, which is something - we do work for a Trade Union afterall!

BlueCrane · 07/10/2011 16:49

missg I just feel absolutely exhausted!!! I've done nothing all day (except send wrong texts!!) and still feel as though I could fall fast, fast asleep!! But...keep telling myself this is a good thing so keeping up the PMA Smile DH assures me that the text isn't as obvious as I thought and that most people wouldn't read past the Morning Fred bit as would assume I'd sent it to them by accident Hmm I'm not so sure but they are all fairly discreet so here's hoping they either a) haven't figured it out or b) if they have, just keep it to themselves!!

Missgiraffe1 · 07/10/2011 16:20

And Blue sorry you've been upset by your text faux pas. Hopefully, the ones you sent the text to will know to be discrete?

Did I mention before that my extreme tiredness was lifting?? Wrong! Tues - Thus I felt less nauseous, and far less tired, then it hit me like a ten ton truck again today! I think, when you feel like that, you just have to rest, as it's so difficult actually getting work done, so good for you for having a chilled day.

IQ great to hear your 16 week check went well Smile I can't wait to get there! (although, I obviously have no choice but to wait). and Smile for your friend too. What a long and difficult journey she has been on.
I am rhesus -ve too btw. Just means an extra jab during pg and another after, if your DH is +ve that is. And, yes, where is Marathon ?? Hope all is still well with her.

I just ate a fudge donut and now have the most awful heartburn.

Missgiraffe1 · 07/10/2011 16:10

Grin Baby loving your work!

babysaurus · 07/10/2011 15:03

BlueCrane Grin Def case of baby brain! Oooops at telling lots of people by accident though. Buggeration. Guess there's nothing that can be done now to undo it is there.

And yes, real showers are the bee's knees! Wink

babysaurus · 07/10/2011 14:52

Am with you on having a proper plan of action Poppy. I personally think it makes all the difference doing something rather than just worrying. Also, none of what you plan to do can do any harm, so go for it and good luck!

Back home now - hence longer reply as not typing on my phone - and told DH I felt 'iffy' earlier. He immediately said 'you're not pregnant are you?' (so maybe it is at the forefront of his mind more than I suspected) to which I said 'I didn't think so, but actually, now you mention it don't actually know.' Will build up on this a bit and then go get a test later. Eeeek! Am meant to be going to the pub with new neighbours this eve too so would rather get it out the way but want me and DH to do it together.

Wish this metallic taste would go, it's frigging awful.

I'm with MissG on Mandas insightful and fabulous opinions too.

Acccording to the Mumsnet calendar I am due 15th June and concieved on the 23rd Sept (two days after DH's birthday!)

Now excuse me while I go and act pregnant-ish and convince DH that he better go buy a test, and it was all his idea...

BlueCrane · 07/10/2011 14:47

Oooh!!! baby Grin fab news!!! And such good timing now that you at least have a proper shower to use rather than a bucket in the basement!!! Smile

poppy grrrr Sad for first signs of AF...soooo frustrating!!! good to see a plan of action forming though.

I won't warble on but I've had a pants morning...totally self inflicted as I had a ridiculously late night last night (well...midnight which isn't in itself that late but since I was fast asleep at 9pm the night before...) anyway, I woke up feeling v v sick, faint, ugh, awful...tried to text my boss...searched for (let's say) 'Fred' on my phone and typed text explaining that I was feeling v sick etc and would be late in, pressed send, then realised I'd selected a different Fred and since I normally text him in a group of friends it had sent the text to all those people and not my boss Shock was SO upset by this as not wanting to announce to everyone yet (obviously) but it would be fairly obvious from the text what was wrong... got in a total tizz, couldn't get hold of DH, got in more of a tizz, rang my Mum, cried etc...serious case of being way over-tired and baby-brain! DH finally rang and insisted that I stay at home and after some breakfast I then slept all morning Blush Sat on the sofa eating lunch I then cried at supernanny Blush Shock clearly one of those days!!

Will post again later when I have found my brain cells again...feeling rather all over the place today...

Missgiraffe1 · 07/10/2011 13:58

AMAZING Baby Smile Smile Smile !!!! Now your DH is going to have to get a wriggle on and get the entire house ready for June (July??) EEEEEEEEEEEKKK!!!! And, of course, you will have to refrain from the heavy and dusty work now Grin . Instead, you can sit with your feet up - in another room if necessary - giving instructions!

Poppy hugs to you. I'm sure it will be upsetting telling DH when he gets in, but you have a plan of action, which is good, and that in itself might lessen the stress on you - you know, to know that you are taking the right supplements, and have the fertility clinic in your sights. x

Manda even if no-one asks, we still want your opinion Smile . Your opinions, in my opinion (if you want it), tend to be rather insightful and fabulous Smile

PieMistress · 07/10/2011 13:53

Congrats baby whoop whoop Think we need an updated stats list! xxx

MandaHugNKiss · 07/10/2011 13:44

Oh, poppy the labelling says that simply because it's virtually impossible to trial such things (even 'proper' medicines) on pregnant and bf women. I was going to suggest the B-complex/ac to you, too. As I too have PCOS. At least, I had a few blood tests years ago that were indicative of it (Dr said my results were 'abnormal' and I had enough androgens in my system to rival a teenage boy Hmm I think/hope she was joking!) along with other 'symptoms' such as irregular, heavy as all hell periods. I would throw up for the first 24 hours they were so painful. Hair. Where a lady doesn't wish hair.

But I was thin. And didn't have problems concieving. Dr said I could go for a scan to see if I had ovaries covered in cysts but that it wasn't necessary as a) not a particularly 'fun' test and, anyway, b) it's a syndrome - I might not technically have the cysts, but still have pcos as I had too many symptoms/abnormal bloods.

So, yeah. (this applies to your friend, too, IQ - pcos need not be the black cloud it might seem when it comes to ttc. Plus, once diagnosed, if you DO have issues getting pregnant, there's help to be had!)

MandaHugNKiss · 07/10/2011 13:36

Yeah, baby! Great news! Grin

This thread is seriously lucky, if you ask me.

Nobody actually was asking me, but still... Grin

babysaurus · 07/10/2011 13:22

Thanks ladies. Am a bit all over the place, if truth be told... In a good way, but still!
Think I'll suggest to DH we do a test as been feeling a bit weird etc so we can 'find out' together.
Can't quite believe it, am also shitting myself! X

Poppyjen · 07/10/2011 13:17

Congratulations baby that's great Grin

ShimmeryPixie · 07/10/2011 13:15

OMG baby that's fantastic. Grin

InsomniaQueen · 07/10/2011 13:04

OMG Baby that is great news!!!!

Really should be tackling my mammoth inbox but just had to jump on and say CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Grin Grin Grin xxxx

babysaurus · 07/10/2011 13:00

Oh my fucking god.

BFP!

First test didn't work, not even the control line, soo did the second with the tiny bit of wee I had left. Two lines! TWO bloody lines!!

Poppyjen · 07/10/2011 12:37

Thanks Smile feel a little more upbeat now but I know as soon as I tell DH when he gets home I will be very down again Sad

On the plus side I have now got my Vit B complex (containing 50mg of B6) and agnus castus...although slightly oddly it is a different brand of agnus castus to the one I used before and this one says "do not use if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant" Hmm. Anyone have any ideas on this one? I asked the lady in the shop and she said that there have been some new regulations on herbal supplements which mean that they have to be differently labelled amongst other things. I am guessing this means they can no longer say they are good for certain things unless it can be proven like a drug would be.

I have taken it anyway given that it is nothing but extract from dried agnus castus like the other one was. The only difference is that this is one capsule a day whereas the other was 20 drops of tincture twice a day.

Sorry to ramble on, but does anyone have any ideas on this one?

baby I have everything crossed for you Smile

PieMistress · 07/10/2011 10:55

poppy it's so disheartening isn't it. We are now on month 10 TTC, sob :( Is your clinic private or NHS? They can prescribe clomid for PCOS (I think?). I am definitely throwing vitamins down myself (feels odd as with DS I was only taking folic acid, conceived straight away and had no problems, ho hum - guess age is showing its wrinkly face to me!). I am taking conception vits, an extra 10mg of D3, extra 500mg of vitamin C, 50mg of vitamin B6 and a spoonful of that expensive manuka honey that was on the other thread as seemingly a 'fertility wonder' ! Yes, I am guillable but giving it a go! Oh an acupuncture! (Have you tried it?)

Test baby Test :) :) Your house is sounding amazing by the way!!!

IQ fantastic to hear the 16week appointment went well and everything is looking ship shape, am so happy for you ! xxx

babysaurus · 07/10/2011 10:36

hugs to Poppy. I think doing something is better than nothing so get yourself dosed up on those vits!

Still have weird taste. May crack and buy a test.... Watch this space.... X

Poppyjen · 07/10/2011 08:47

More spotting this morning and another temp drop Sad . Still above the coverline but low.

I guess I am out. Sad thing is this means I can't even have a July hoodie...on current cycle length it would put me into August Shock

Still off to buy more agnus castus and some Vit B complex this morning. Back on the pregnacare too. Let's throw all of the supplements at it and see what happens...

Haven't told DH yet. He has A Big Interview today so didn't want to distract him.

Including miscarriage cycle this will be cycle 6 with 8 months TTC Sad

DH and I decided we would go to the fertility clinic for a chat about PCOS etc in January if nothing had happened. Feel like I might bring this forward a bit. We'll see. Feeling down today.

Hope everyone else is having a better time Smile

babysaurus · 06/10/2011 22:59

IQ sorry, I am currently so far up my own arse that I am not answering any other questions. The shower is fab, absolutely fab, and the painted and wallpaper'd walls are looking very stylish indeed if you don't mind me saying Wink Things will be even better when the bath is plumbed in and no longer in the front room... The next room will be the kitchen. The walls are already plastered in there but we need to sort out the floor which will be hideously messy as we want to sandblast it. Hopefully that will be the major bit though and after that will be more of a simple case of painting and fixing in the cuboards and plumbing in the sink, washer, disnwasher etc.

Delighted to hear about your scan too. Can I ask why you had a 16 week one? I was also down to have a 16 week and then a 20 week, and then after that every two weeks, but that's as I am diabetic.

babysaurus · 06/10/2011 22:53

Oh gawd. Just caught myself looking for best deals on pg tests (First Response and Clearblue Digi) 'just out of interest' for after my Fimo apt tomorrow and seen that Superdrug are doing a BOGOF. This weird taste is still there, big time, but I also realise that can actually mean nothing whatsoever.

Can't get it out of my head though... Argh!

Has anyone else also half wanted not to test so not to burst any potential bubble...? Last time I tested, and when I got the BFP, I had no symptoms whatsoever (hmmm, Babysaurus take note) but realised I was 2 days late so tested when DH was out getting food. Had a hell of a shock when it developed two lines, I can tell you! Am tempted to, if I test of course, do one on my own tomorrow too so not to build any excitement too soon. If it's a BOGOF I can always produce the other packet and not mention the first one can't I?

Bloody hell, now I am really metalling aren't I? I'll read this and scornfully laugh tomorrow when I'm traipsing off to buy Tampax instead.

babysaurus · 06/10/2011 22:04

Bugger Sad

Poppyjen · 06/10/2011 21:58

well scratch that...

Not sure I'll need the tests after all. Spotting with pink blood this evening so I am expecting temp drop and AF starting tomorrow.

Bugger.
