Yes I had a neg at 7 days after, PieMistress. Only bled (lightly) for 6 days in total. SWI regularly since 4 days after mc.

I only bled for a week after my first mc, and conceived approx 30 days after, as evidenced by DD. Who knows.

I'm not doing anything, including testing, anymore. Just being aware of possibilities and living carefully ;)

welliesandpyjamas · 06/11/2011 19:26

Same here, MsScarlett. 4 weeks now and waiting to see which way we go. Got my follow-up appt on Tues too. Will be sad to go back to where we found out baby had died but it's all part of moving forward and all that, I suppose.

PieMistress · 06/11/2011 19:24

Hi msscarlett my AF didn't return for 8 weeks after my m/c. Have you done a pregnancy test to make sure it's negative?

marathon good luck with the '20' week scan next week! Will be thinking of you on Wednesday .

Waves to everybody else! This thread has been quite quiet lately! Hope everybody is off having lots of SWI! :)

MsScarlettInTheLibrary · 06/11/2011 19:11

Back again - 4 weeks now since my late MC, 3 weeks since we resumed TTC and no sign of AF. Nor any feeling that it may be coming, no cramping, no fullness, nothing, as yet. No pregnancy symptoms either.

I am sticking to my plan of ignoring it and just SWI until something interesting happens!

MarathonMama · 04/11/2011 15:09

Hi all,

IQ so glad the scan went well! Little Miss IQ is on her way! I like Manda's idea about her being taught to kick ass by her Mum and feisty auntie. I wonder what your DH would think though Hmm. Does he know that it's a girl?

I hope you're feeling a bit better? As you've been signed off you need lots of rest. I bet the work stress hasn't been helping. Treat yourself to a box set of something girly and lots of chocolate and enjoy getting big and fat Grin. I know I am!

Very impressed with these massive babies! DD was only 6lb 11oz and I thought she must be massive. I told the midwife that his conversion from kg must be wrong as I was so convinced after the birth that DD was huge.

Far glad you're getting answers. It's good to know why it's happening although it doesn't make you feel any better about the ones you've lost. Fingers crossed!

Frazzled welcome, sorry you're here. I remember having a massive argument with DH because I thought he'd forgotten about the mc. I felt really sad. I think people just move on, when you're still mourning it makes you feel very isolated. I hope you're feeling better soon.

I was sad to hear that Summer/Martha has left us. If you're there, hope you're ok, thinking of you!

Got my 20 week scan next Weds (am 21 weeks today). I'm nervous about it as I know friends who had to abort their baby due to problems at the 20 week scan and also some of you guys who've had late mmc. I can feel him (I'm am soooo sure it's a he) moving so less worried about the mmc but I am nervous nonetheless. Manda I know you've got your scan too. What time is it? Good luck!

It's also my previous due date next Sat so am planning to let off a helium balloon to remember the baby we lost. I think DH thinks I'm mad but I want to do something so that he/she knows that they're not forgotten.

Hello to everyone I've missed. I work as a volunteer organising events for a charity and it's really busy at the moment in the run up to Christmas so sorry for not getting on very often. Raisin and biscuit Yorkies (my latest "craving") all round...

PieMistress · 04/11/2011 10:46

far does that mean you need to avoid vitamin supplements with Vitamin K in them? I vaguely remember reading that somewhere as it's a clotting agent?

manda jeesypeeps, 9lbs 12oz! Man there are some big babies on this thread, you and moomins definitely deserve an award! My GP will say I don't need any supplements apart from folic acid but I might say i'm feeling very sick and see what she says about B6 (not strictly untrue in itself, I am feeling nauseous at points during the day).

moomins my DS was an attempted forceps/epidural delivery. I was yanked down the table 3 times before they decided he just wasn't coming out (he was back to back and they just couldn't turn him, or managed to turn him halfway or something, can't fully remember due to drugs!) so ended up being a CS. Poor thing was awfully battered and bruised and I ended up having to take him to a cranial osteopath as he just seemed to cry all the time (she said the forceps had given him constant headaches or something, but she worked wonders it was amazing the difference in him after a few sessions). I digress!

Moominsarescary · 04/11/2011 10:16

pie yes a had him vaginally with forcepts and an epidural, they were trying the forcepts as a last resort before cs

I was only 16 when he was born, scarily the age he is now. Ds2 is 8 and ds3 is 7 months so exactly 8 years between each of them.

Me and ds1 dad split up when he was 1 which is one of the reasons there is such an age gap between ds1+2 then after ds2 was born I decided to retrain and when we finally decided to try for ds3 it took alot longer than I thought to conceive. I'm now 33

I got pg while on the pill with ds1 and the pg was pretty straight forward without complications. Unfortunately it hasn't been so easy since but I know I'm very lucky to have them especially as ds2+3 are both healthy dispite the complications I had during their pregnancies.

MandaHugNKiss · 04/11/2011 09:43

x post with fall

MandaHugNKiss · 04/11/2011 09:42

IQ So glad everything is ok with miniIQ and: a little girl! How wonderful. Another feisty one for you and DSis to show how the world works and how you need to kick butt now and then. Grin

fall Nice progesterone result! Have they diagnosed MTHFR or some other clotting issue?

pie I can't remember how high the dose was of prescribed B6 - It was 17 years ago! But from all the reading I did (and it was a LOT) I am quite sure you're safe! Hey, speak to your GP if it'll help settle your mind. And, my sweet, not taking your prenatal last time didn't cause your bad luck. I know how it is, latching on to different 'reasons' but it won't have been that. Really.

moomins I was horrified proud to have deliverd DS2 at 9lb 12oz with no stitches... but you take the trophy! Good work, that lady!

farfallarocks · 04/11/2011 09:34

I have an impaired fibrinolysis, basically my body does not break down clots as quickly as others which can affect implantaiton and lead to later pregnancy losses and problems as well. It is linked to PCOS as well.

Heparin thins the blood and stops this happenieng apparently. Fingerse crossed!

PieMistress · 04/11/2011 09:30

far - 29, that is so much better! What does heparin do/resolve?

farfallarocks · 04/11/2011 09:27

Hooray for the scan iq!!

pie yes my progesterone was at 29 this time, not sure if it was the B6 kicking in or just better timing. We shall see!

Had my appointment yesterday and we seem to have found the cause of the early mcs. I will need to take heparin in early pregnancy but I can deal with that, jsut a bit overwhelming and sad to think there was probably nothing wrong with the babies we lost.
But onwards and upwards!

PieMistress · 03/11/2011 21:59

Glad to hear all went well with the scan IQ and congrats on being on team PINK! How exciting! Have you started thinking about any names yet? I'm so sorry to hear you've been feeling crap, at least have a sympathetic GP who has signed you off work. Rest as much as you can and make best use of this time to chill out with some trashy box sets! :) :)

moomins holy crapola! 11lbs 2oz! From your message I'm reading you gave birth vaginally ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG! Sterling effort!!! Do you mind me asking how old you and your DCs are?

wellies I would probably have logged on more than twice a day but paranoid work would run a history check and clock all of my FF log ons!

Moominsarescary · 03/11/2011 21:44

Yes I got a lovely ring, he was over 3 weeks late though and luckily they don't leave you that long any more! He's still big now he's 16 and 6 foot 3

He was my only big baby though the other two were prem and 5lb 15 and 4lb 4

InsomniaQueen · 03/11/2011 19:55

moomin 11lb 2oz - that is eye watering to say the least - I can't even imagine it to be honest!!!! Hope your OH got you something awesome for all that hard work!!! Xxx

Moominsarescary · 03/11/2011 17:14

insomnia glad the baby is doing well and sorry you are feeling unwell,

Ds1 was a cringing 11lb 2 oz, but it honestly wasn't as bad as it sounds x

welliesandpyjamas · 03/11/2011 17:07

insomnia hugs

InsomniaQueen · 03/11/2011 16:44

Hi all - sorry again for my absence......had my 20 week scan yesterday and all still looks good with the baby - also managed to find out the sex and biscuit is a girl, bit of a shock really as I hadnt even considered anything other than a boy for some reason.

Feeling a bit crap today really tired and in pain so not exactly at my best, just struggling to do the simplest things by myself like picking up a full kettle. Currently staying with the in laws just in case so that i manage to get meals and have someone around just in case i have to go to hospital again. Still not sure what the bleeding was about but my GP thinks it's a hernia and so has signed me off for 6 weeks. To be honest I thought it wasnt really a big deal but it must be if they have signed me off for that amount of time. Feeling a bit worried now about how things are going to go over the next few months leading up to the birth and I'm feeling a bit low cos things seem to be going from bad to worse for me. I know the baby is ok and so I'm just trying to use that to keep me going otherwise I would just go to bed and pull the covers over myself.

The sonographer did say that the baby was going to be a good size so no 6lb baby for me and apparently her head is also measuring "at the top end of the scale" my fanjo cringed when I heard those words!!!!

Hope all of you are doing well - love to all xxxx

welliesandpyjamas · 03/11/2011 16:34

Twice a day?! Pah! Lightweight! Wink

PieMistress · 03/11/2011 16:17

Hi Peeps,

Hope everybody is well? I have been sooooooo tired this week. I feel like my head is full of mashed potato all the time. DP woke me up this morning and said 'it's five to seven' and i'm like 'is DS awake?', he said 'no' and i'm GRRRR why did you wake me then! (ok, so I was going to be late for work but still!)

I also did a CB Digi yesterday and it said 3+ which cheered me up a bit (was 5 weeks ish on Monday). I still haven't phoned the MW yet (although they like you to book in at 6 weeks here) as i'm still too scared I might jinx it all).

frazzled I sometimes don't ovulate for 3 days or more after a postive OPK so you might still be able to catch it!

far apologies if I have missed this but did you get the results from your blood tests? Have you had another CD21 taken since starting the B6?

pebs wellies I am/was also a chart obsessive and logging on twice daily to try and analyse it!

manda how much B6 were you prescribed? I know I sound neurotic about it! With the m/c I stopped taking any vits (except folic acid) when I was 6 weeks and still wonder if that's why I miscarried. I know it's highly unlikely but can't help wondering sometimes. How old are your DCs? Fab news about hearing the heartbeat, that's ace! How many weeks are you to pick it up on your doppler? Does your doppler give you the bpm then?

Hi to everybody else i've missed!!! Love Pie xx

farfallarocks · 02/11/2011 14:56

Just about to catch up but wanted to say pie hugs, so pleased and don;t worry about the B6 I think its fine.

frazzled sorry to hear that is how you are feeling, I think its so hard for people to understand what you are going through, we all do though :(

Those tests certainly are a mixed blessing. I also got a positive this morning and we won't be able to DTD and DH is a rufusenik at the moment which is totally stessful. We all know what you are going through. Hugs.

frazzled74 · 02/11/2011 12:36

morning everybody,im trying to catch up with this thread as a newbie, am sorry that you all find yourselves here but it is comforting to know that i am not alone, everybody around me seems to have forgotten about my miscarriage, which makes me a bit sad and alone. I did an ovulation test today after not bothering for a few days, it was positive, but i am on nights for 3 nights now so me and dh will only be seeing eachother for a fleeting second mid school run. I wish i hadnt tested now, !

Poppyjen · 02/11/2011 10:59

Manda I agree - not convinced of FF's O date at all. My temps just aren't high enough compared to my previous luteal phase temps and up until today I still had loads of EWCM. I'll keep at it never fear Grin and keep plugging the data in and hopefully it will all make sense soon....

Thanks for checking by the way - its so nice to have other people's opinion as well Smile

So pleased you heard the heartbeat - I so nearly got a doppler when expecting DS but DH convinced me I would be too obsessed with it..he's probably right. Won't stop me wanting to get one next time around though!

pebspop · 02/11/2011 10:49

manda glad you heard the heartbeat. i think i would be too obsessed with a doppler - i would want to listen all the time! i can't wait to go to aus. i am a bit nervous of such a long flight, the longest i have done is to west coast us.

i am still going to accupuncture but not sure what it is really doing for me now, apart from costing me money! i have started going every two weeks so i am there this week. i do enjoy it but £30 a time is a bit expensive every week.

i check my chart regulalry as well. i just like seeing the graphs - sad eh! i am not feeling great this week and my temps have been really high the last two days. yesterday was 38.2 - my graph looked silly so i discarded that one. today i was 36.8 which is still really high pre ov. i think it will tell me i have ov'd on cd6 which can't be right - it's my ill temps! i am currently on cd12 so might ov soon.

blue hope you have a great time in ny. it will be lovely!

eve i heard that it can take as long as you were pg to get back to normal after mc. not sure if i believe it when people with full term pg's can get pregnant straight away! i believed in it when i was waiting for my missing af for 12 weeks!

MandaHugNKiss · 02/11/2011 10:12

Ah, blue so excited for you to go to NYC! I'm seriously considering a cheap flight (perhaps post-christmas) to hop over to buy DS2 a new winter/spring wardrobe and this baby some cute little bits - you'd be amazed how even factoring in the cost of going, how much money you can save. We bought him a coat when there last christmas (Ralph lauren big pony) that costs just over £100 here but we got for about £30 there. A couple of GAP zip up hoody fleeces, which were on sale, cost literally £4 each - they're £20 here! Plus my DS1 is obsessed with 'Ralphies' as they call them - a big pony hoodie for him cost me about £30 compared to the £90 they cost here. But we'll see.

Have a great time in the Big Apple - and I'm sure you'll manage to glam up perfectly well Grin

moomin a memory box is a lovely thing - I don't have Teddy's stuff in a box, but nestled in a drawer. Maybe I should get one, although it will lack a lot of the things that are often put into it.

mill sorry about af. Most of us found it took a good few months to straighten out (although there are those who do manage to fall pregnant straight away so don't feel silly for being hopeful) and yes, it's so frustrating. But as blue says, try to put a positive spin on it - you're closer to getting back to normal. Good luck for this cycle!

pie Chill out about the B6! I was prescribed it when pregnant with DD1 to try and help with the extreme nausea (it didn't) so it has to be ok! If it's making you feel nervous, chop the tablet in half (with a view to cutting it out altogether if that will help you) to take half the amount? By the way, you never entered a positive test on your fertility friend chart! crazy stalker alert I just happened to click on yours instead of poppys (been looking out for her O Grin) and noticed.

Speaking of the devil which, poppy I'm not buying that you O'd yet... so keep up the SWI, hmmkay?

pebs Totally jealous over Aus! Christmas with a beach barbie? Wowzers. I've always wanted to go there despite a morbid fear of the massive arachnids they have but it won't happen for years and years now if at all because I'm not crazy enough to do a 24 journey with two littlies in tow! Have a wonderful, wonderful time. Hey, have you given up on the acupuncture?

missG good to hear from you - I forget totally where you went on hols, sorry it wasn't really for you. You must try and get another in before baby comes that IS more about what you and DH would rather be going. Together. Without hungover family around! Sweet of Fil to mention his new staus. Aww.

IQ Sounds bloody (literally) horrendous - although if it's taught you anything at all it's that you CAN stand to have MiL around when you're in need - good to know should things work out that DH is away come the birth. It has all settled down though, now, right?

wellies you really do need to new thermometer! It needs to register to two digital points (as when it comes to logging O, there is obviously quite a difference between, say, 36.6 and 36.69 (which would both come up as 36.9)) although the one you have will be ok for a ball park figure, once you really get the hang of it (and you're seeing how obsessive it can make you! But in a good way, I feel) you'll want the most accurate picture you can get.

eve Just keep swimming! You're only a week behind me, but hell, YES, it's just the longest time. Hang in there.

Well, martha my dear summer I am very sad that you're feeling the way you do. I am still thinking of you, and wishing you the good things you deserve. You'll be back with good news, I just know it.

Gosh, did I get everyone? I don't think so. So sorry if I missed you - you see, the thing is, despite how it looks from my mammoth ramble, I'm feeling pretty grim. I think the only reason I've managed to get on and catch up is that last night, after trying for about a week and a half, I finally HEARD the baby's heartbeat on my doppler! Heart rate of 162. I've been on tenterhooks the last couple of weeks, despite symptoms, it's just been so hard. So to have heard baby, knowing that right now it's happy in there, has given me a little something, something. I grinned for hours. Hopefully it can carry me through until the 9th when I have my NT scan.

Love to you all!
