HI
I am here but a bit in and out. The tea is herbal - caffine free and is supposed to taste like normal tea. It come from Souh Africa and we have several SAs at work so I'll ask them about it.
Hi Butterfly welcome to the thread How long is your cycle? The question I ask everyone is How is your cervical mucus - a bit personal when weve only just met, but this gives a good indicator of fertile times (homemamma will back me up on this! I posted on the other thread but congrats again.)
Pussycat Sorry about AF

hellomama · 09/01/2006 20:58

Yes I am the sexual health nurse woman! I currently live in oxfordshire but want to go back home to Devon near our families.

Butterfly girl, assuming you have a normal 28 day cycle:

The day you first start bleeding on your period is day 1 of your cycle. Most people bleed for between 4-7 days. You would then release an egg on about day 14 and this egg lives for around 48 hours. This is the time when you are most fertile. Male sperm can live up to a week, so if you have sex on day 10 of your cycle, assuming you release an egg on day 14, you could still get pregnant, even if you haven't had sex for 5 days. My advice though to any woman wanting to get pregnant is to have sex at least once a day on days 10-17 of your cycle, to give yourself the best chance of success.

HTH. Let me know if any of that is confusing. You are probably on day 16 of your cycle now, so you have probably already ovulated (again, assuming you have a 28 day cycle).

hi butterfly , welcome to the friendliest nicest thread around
theres not many of us here at mo , but you are more than welcome.
some of the others might be able to answer your "technical" questions.... imo i am sure you only ovulate once per cycle, in fact am sure.
peachy is a good expert as is trace, when they are on.

butterflygirl · 09/01/2006 20:44

Hi Ladies

Have Dd aged 7 months and are TTC hopefully in the next few months as i would like a small age gap between them.
First day of last period was christmas day, i am regular as clockwork to the day each month so when would my most fertile days be?

The thing is Dd was concieved only 2 days after period so i am confused and think i may be ovulating earlier in the month? or even twice?
Can this happen?

pussycatmomma · 09/01/2006 20:43

hi there hellomamma.... sorry to hear you feeling down too, but for diff reasons by the sound of it. Just remind me , are you the family planning/fertility nurse? Where are you living at the mo and where would you like to relocate to?

hellomama · 09/01/2006 20:42

I'm here. Currently working part time in a v nightmare job and looking after demanding toddler so not much time to post, sorry. Peachygirl, sorry to read about your nana
Also sorry to hear about all those of you who got their AF already this month.
Not much happening here with me, except that my job is awful at the moment and I really want to relocate back home ASAP, and perhaps the timing of being pg at the moment may be a bit difficult. SO I am v ambivalent about everything and having a real hard time.

pussycatmomma · 09/01/2006 20:34

hi everyone......looks like nobody around just now. Glad you have gotten through the weekend Peachy, nice to have you back. I empathise with you over your Nan, it was 11 yrs ago on saturday that my Granny died....you never forget but it does get easier over time (((hugs)))
Have been to the "tea" site and ordered my sample, what is it sposed to do for you?
Trace, how you feeling? I got my af properly now, how about you? sorry about your bfn....we shall keep trying, yes?
Anyone heard from Coriander today?

peachygirl · 09/01/2006 18:47

I find that herbal teas don't give me the boost I need especially at work if it's a bit stressful. I pretty much gave up sugar in my tea but have lapsed back into that too. DH drinks peppermint for digestion but on the whole they don't really do it for me

trace2 · 09/01/2006 18:35

done it i like herbal teas. i drink diffrent one

peachygirl · 09/01/2006 18:27

Not necessarily, have you seen the post on the persona thread from BBWBabeLisa? It is very heartening. When I was looking for the red bush the website says it will send you a free sample. It looks quite good but I?m a bit funny with herbal teas. I sort of like them but don?t really IYKWIM, they don?t tend to taste as good as they smell. The website is here you have to put details in so might be worth a try before you buy.

trace2 · 09/01/2006 18:11

oh no never tried it, whats it to do and where do we get it from?? iam overweight so maybe thats why i carnt get pg?

peachygirl · 09/01/2006 18:06

Thanks Trace
My Nana had broken her hip and had a chest infection so we knew it was going to happen. She was also 96! So had lived a good, long, life. She lived a long way away and we didn?t really have a close relationship with her. I?m not sure what we are doing this month TTC or not. AF pretty much over and had a BD last night -well were in a travel lodge - strange bed, always worth a go! LOL.
I really need to start getting a bit healthier. I?ve eaten too many bad things ? not too much drinking ? but really need to get my act together. I don?t drink coffee and not too much tea. A friend was recommending red bush tea have you or anyone tried it. It is supposed to taste like real tea.

trace2 · 09/01/2006 18:01

peachygirl · 09/01/2006 17:40

Hi Everyone,
Special hello to new ladies, welcome from me! I?m back from Bournemouth. The funeral went well. It was very small. My brother who has SEN was very emotional and had to stay outside and Lovely DH stayed with him. I am very grateful to him (he thinks I use this thread to complain about him!)
We had lunch with my parents then made our way home. Felling a bit sad and my Dad was quite emotional but I think he will be ok. They are all off home tomorrow.
Sorry to hear so many of you are feeling low,
Pussycat, these things take time doesn?t be hard on yourself.
Trace, sorry to hear about your BFP.
I will be about this evening but will be on and off as I have various jobs to do. It?s good to be home.

appyday · 09/01/2006 16:51

Oh well, end of my chatting for now, DD awake.

appyday · 09/01/2006 16:46

appyday · 09/01/2006 16:39

No, missed Nov, did several tests, all neg , Af on "normal" day in Dec, due again yesterday, and not menopausal. Maybe body at half speed for winter hibernation!?

northerner · 09/01/2006 16:37

New windows sounds exciting to me!

I feel better today thanks, gor a good night sleep. But I think I can feel a bout of cystitis coming on. Have been prone to it in the past 6 months. So I'm drinking gallons of cranberry juice.

I was wondering about appyday and her missed AF. Perhaps she is not v regular?

trace2 · 09/01/2006 16:35

appyday is this first af you missed??

trace2 · 09/01/2006 16:33
