coriander, bless your heart.
you are a very understanding woman, i appreciate your thoughts and feelings.
Please stay in touch and around on this thread - you are special!!! first to join thread and first to get your very very very special bfp!!!
you must stay in touch with this thread and your "wannabepregnant" friends, if only to keep us all going at times! We are all thrilled for you and understand that you also want to talk to people who are experiencing the same (eg pregnancy) after all thats what mumsnet is all about! Personally i hope you gain support wherever you can find it! you sound like a lovely person both on here and in RL, x x x x x

Coriander73 · 18/01/2006 19:12

Pussycat, the fact that you have had these problems doesn't alter my virtual opinion of you, on the contrary. I am only too glad that you have been able to share your feelings on this thread & that everyone has been so supportive. It's good to know you have an outlet if needed rather than dwelling on your own.

Obviously I have been on the September thread but I also haven't been around much due to work & also I don't want to be a reminder to you all that I did get a bfp...it's hard. I don't want to lose touch with you, Trace, Peachy...but at the same time I don't feel as though I should be writing as much on this thread due the fact I'm now pg. I might be wrong but I guess I'm just trying to strike a balance..

pussycatmomma · 18/01/2006 17:17

oh cori...
thankyou, but please dont worry about commenting/not commenting. I just thought you had been on the other thread alot which is why you had not posted, or that you just felt you didnt want to join in conversation cause i was using "our" thread to talk about something unrelated to ttc.
Either way, thankyou for saying about your mum and sister.
I feel sad that you might think differently of me now, that i am different to how you had imagined or that i may share some of your sister or mothers traits. That is the thing with being honest, and i do wish i had not mentioned my selfharming the other night. But it was desparate measures tbh, with things building up and i may have used this thread inappropriatly.
I am really sorry if i bought up a subject which was too close to home, in a forum where you would not be expecting chat of that nature. I hope your opinion of me is not overshadowed by the fact that i fall under the umbrella of having a "mental health issue" - you must be painfully aware of how this can affect the person involved.
I am really sorry to hear about your mums depression and also your sister too.
I am not a complete nutter honestly
i think i am a very normal young(ish!) woman who copes with life in ways which are perhaps not the "norm". I supppose i am feeling a bit defensive because of all the upset of work at the moment, and i feel like i have to justify myself in some way. I hope i havent hurt your feelings by going on about something which is not really relevant to our thread, something which is a sensitive issue to you.
((((((((((big hug from pusscat to cori))))))))

Coriander73 · 18/01/2006 17:02

Yes, it was very hard to say something because it's not something I readily share with anyone. However, been worrying that pussycat would have thought it odd that I've not commented given that we've been on this thread since the beginning....

Trace, feel worse but trying not to think about it...mind over matter & all that! Very very queasy & have to eat little & often to keep it at bay...oh & suck on polo mints!! Are you guys going to change it to Feb if no more BFPs in Jan? Am sure Northerner is you know!!!!!

mumswish · 18/01/2006 16:59

mumswish · 18/01/2006 16:41

Hi Cory, I hope you dont mind me saying (seeing as you hardly know me) but I think you're very brave saying that. I know I couldnt, if something came too close to home for me Id just keep my mouth shut and divert my eyes. so well done. (hope that doesnt sounds patronising)

Sex as a chore is a new one to me I'm afraid, havent got to that point yet, hope I never do.

trace2 · 18/01/2006 16:34

hi corrie well done for telling pussycat that, also how you feeling been following you sept thread, you sound like your geeting sick

Coriander73 · 18/01/2006 16:30

Hi Pussycat...I've been thinking a lot about you re work & the stress etc etc. I've been reading all the comments & I've delibrately not said anything. This is becuase I've lived with "mental health issues" all my life. Mum had severe PND after me which led into schizophrenia which led to me beign fostered at 11, which led to her being really bad health wise, losing control etc etc. My Sister has also tried to CS & lives a crazy life one that I just cannot understand. Anyhow, what I suppose I'm saying is that this topic is a little too close to home for me so I've prefered not to comment. I do hope you understand. I thought it was best to say something because maybe it's been a bit obvious that I've not said owt. Anyhow, yes, the sex doesn't become a bit like a chore when you need it for a sole purpose!!! But keep on with it & do it every other day.... It is going to happen but try not to get too stressed!! xx

wannaBe1974 · 18/01/2006 16:18

yeh mental health is a very complicated things to have to deal with. I do think that writing about it often helps more than talking about it, don't know why, think it's maybe because you can think about what you're going to write before you write it, whereas if you have to say what you're feeling then it's that much harder - you can't backtrack and unsay something because it didn't sound right. Either way I'm always around - my msn address is [email protected] feel free to add me anyone who has messenger

Ring does sound lovely has to be said - mine is a diamond as well

mumswish · 18/01/2006 16:18

pussycatmomma · 18/01/2006 16:13

hiya peachy, have a good evening even if it is work related.
trace, not leaving you intentionally, are you on later? i have to pick dh up and then cook. just had to reply to some emails and stuff.
wannabe, thankyou, that is really kind of you, i am sometimes not very good at keeping in touch and telling people what is going on and how i feel.....mental health is a complicated thing isnt it. but i do find this site very helpful, not just the site, but the people on this thread (my thread bunnies) i think the instant nature of the conversations sometimes works well for me, i just type as i think and it allows a kind of sounding board for my feelings.
trace, might spk later, im off to pick up darling f#cker!!!!!

trace2 · 18/01/2006 16:12

maybe youll be going with a bump??

trace2 · 18/01/2006 16:11

mumswish · 18/01/2006 16:10

Sorry had to do some work quickly! I'm back again now tho.

Engagement ring is a purple stone (amethyst, DP's birthstone) with diamonds around it. We havent made any plans yet because my best mate is getting married in sept and we dont want to upstage her. thinking early next year (with new baby as bridesmaid/pageboy, hopefully)

trace2 · 18/01/2006 16:08

Have a good evening. I might pop on when I get back but it might be very late. I seem to be misssing you all at the moment

trace2 · 18/01/2006 16:07

wow you too newbies are great, its like you belong on this thread

wannaBe1974 · 18/01/2006 16:05

Hiya again all.

PCM so sorry you're feeling so down, don't let work get to you - remember it's only a job and not worth the stress.

Know what you mean about sex losing its appeal when it's about ttc, when I was ttc for DS I used to try and imagine that little baby being formed inside my body, and somehow the thought of BD and making a baby in that way made it all the more special for me. I did read somewhere though that when you're TTC you should "make love" not "have sex" as it's making love that is the key, and if you're having sex just to conceive it can make ttc much harder as it becomes very stressful and stress can affect sperm and ovulation.

sorry am I rambling now?

keep smiling PCM, am always here if you need to talk - maybe not always on the site but you can have my email address if need
