Lol boys and their toys. what does your DP do for a living?

I'm going to study to become a counsellor.

Before I had DS I was a finance manager but I wanna do something different. A lot of my friends say I'm a good listener and should put it to use so that's what im gunna do.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:26

aww bless. I hope he feels better soon.

Theres nothing wrong with Dp tho, he's just tired and doesnt like his job so he wants me to find somthing better for him. I bought him a computer game for his Xbox the other day just to shut him up for a few days! lol

What you doing at college?

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 13:24

We'll probably look into tests in next couple of weeks. I start back at college next week so will have that to take my mind off it.

Men are just so pathetic when they're ill aren't they? lol.

Just looking on the net for something nice for DH's dinner - he's feeling a bit rough as well, just very tired cause having to work so hard bless him.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:21

Oh yeh, I had cheese and tomato butties for lunch. Am still hungry tho as I didnt have time for a pack of crisps or yogurt or something. I had to make DP some butties too and he wanted a cuddle cos he was feeling rough and stuff. He's a pain in the backside. Good job I love him cos I think anyone else might have killed him this afternoon with all the demands. lol

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:19

Well I hope thats all it is then, if anything at all. I dont feel i'd ever be able to take the IVF road. Would rather adopt. But then I just hope I dont have to come to a decision for that.

When are you going to see about getting tests done?

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 13:15

hiya .. what did you have for lunch?

Yeah getting the tests done wouldn't really be a problem financially - we're not really hard up or anything, after I'm a SAHM and can afford to be, but it's more where you draw the line after having gone for tests, I think that it can all spiral out of control and IVF for instance isn't a road I feel I am able to go down if it came to it. But we'll see anyway. HAve suspician it may be DH's sperm count - they did mention when we were trying for DS that sperm count may be an issue, plus DH commutes to london every day and is often tired so I know these are factors which can affect sperm count greatly.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:13

Has everyone gone again now?

I'm really bored. Got terrible cramps at the mo aswel, hope this subsides soon. Feels like I've got trapped wind but in my womb instead. Horrible. Anyway.... lol

I got nothing to do again so am having a small panic about my interview on Tuesday because I've just found out that I've got to have it with the HR manger aswel as the Business Manager. Didnt mind having it with business manager as we could have had a laugh but I gotta be serious with HR lady. lol

I'll shut-up now and hopefully some one will be back to talk to me, otherwise the people with white coats will be here to take me away!

mumswish · 20/01/2006 13:07

i'm back now

Wannabe - I thought it might be difficult but thought it may be worth mentioning anyway.
Can you stretch financially just to get the tests done to see whether youre eggs and his sperm are good?
I'm prob not helping at all but wanted to try.

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 12:21

yeah mumswish i did think about that but I do know that I'd just spend every month wondering anyway.

have a nice lunch x

mumswish · 20/01/2006 12:00

Wannabe - couldnt go without saying quick. I dont know anyone who has had tests so I cant help with that but how about a different suggestion. stop trying but dont take anything to stop you getting PG?

See you in a bit

mumswish · 20/01/2006 11:59

ok ladies,

I gotta pop and take DP back home and get some lunch. I should only be an hour (if he hurries his arse over here) we work in the same place.

See you in abit

HUGS & KISSES

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 11:58

Well me and DH had long chat last night and have decided we need to take one of two courses of action, either stop trying altogether as can't bear the thinking/hoping every month and being disappointed time after time, or go for tests and see if there's anything specific up. We're thinking of the latter, problem is that can't really have too much assistance in conceiving because of financial and some practical constraints.

mumswish · 20/01/2006 11:56

Thats just wierd! lol... Cute but dead wierd. I hope you 2 are happy its really sweet

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 11:54

yeah, and ironically I went to live in south africa whereas he went to live in maidenhead, I came back to this country and went on a sailing holiday and were on same boat. small world ey. lol

mumswish · 20/01/2006 11:52

So am I wannabe Wish it would go already cos its really hurting!!

Thats a really sweet story that you were both born in same hospital etc. bless

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 11:50

Hello Gemma - welcome. - not seen you here before?

I'm 31, dh 31 (6 days apart in age and born in same hospital but paths didn't cross for 21 years and in different towns), have DS 3.2, and been trying for baby no 2 since may last year.

Mumswish glad to hear your AF has finally arrived

mumswish · 20/01/2006 11:48

I'm here wannabe but only for about 10 mins then I'm off for lunch break

wannaBe1974 · 20/01/2006 11:45

Hello all anyone about?

mumswish · 20/01/2006 11:44

sounds exciting. Do you enjoy your job?

You have to let us know the outcome of the test. I havent access to net over the weekends (only in work) so will check to see how you got on when I get back to work on Monday.

Good luck tho, will keep fingers crossed for you (toes are crossed for Northern )

gemmaseascout · 20/01/2006 11:25

due about sunday.
Been testing but nothing. My sister said she tested for five days before and was negative abd the day she was due on she was positive!
Will let you know.
I am off for the weekend now. My student is doing electronics!!!!!!!!!!

mumswish · 20/01/2006 11:19

To be quite honest Gemma its sounds like you prob are. Have you tested yet? When is AF due? if AF is less than a wk (about 4 days) you can normally test

gemmaseascout · 20/01/2006 11:12

I am already fed up with the travelling at the moment(20 miles there and 20 miles back). I have promised my self I will not be working there after I have a baby. I will be closer to home. Would even try and get my old job back. Just to be close to home!!!

OOOOOO Cramps and pains, not really like period pains
Testing on sunday and then seeing the doctor on tuesday. I have been feeling nauseous for 14 days now. Not been sick!

mumswish · 20/01/2006 11:02

Trace - DP doesnt mind... I do.. Its a bit yucky! lol

Gemma - I'm a receptionist at the mo, I want to do anything. just want it to be closer to where I'm moving. (moving in a couple of months) the place i'm working doesnt pay enough for me to keep travelling the 20 miles there and 20 miles back everyday.

Just applied for a promotion tho (interview on tues) so if I get that I can keep working here. Although still feeling quite guilty about getting a promotion (if I do) then going on mat leave! lol

Never mind

trace2 · 20/01/2006 10:56

you can stll enjoy while shes hagging about you know, most men dont mind at all

gemmaseascout · 20/01/2006 10:56
