fairydust · 31/01/2006 21:33

cd28 here - have no idea wether AF will show it's ugly head this month or wether a little baby seddling may be making it's bed - at the moment i like the thought of the seedling.

hope everyone is well.

Is any one else at the end of the cycle and waiting?

Piffle · 31/01/2006 20:22

I get rippinjg ov pains always have, like now have just taken 2nd dose of nurofen on top of paracetamol - left hand side which is my 2good" side so grrr

piffle - (sorry to hijack girls) I have one overy - i'm sure I've told u? anyhow I saw 3 dr's one consultant the 3 dr's told me that i'd OV every month as the one remaining 'wins' the OV by defult and doens't have to compete to OV witht eh other side. it took us 14 months (ish) to concieve the first one (DH was away thou for 6 months of it). I only had OV pains (split second) for about 2 months after that nothing, no OV or period so don't give up hope honney. ((((hugs)))

Piffle · 31/01/2006 16:56

Jen its great to have some information isn't it, a reason to work on!
I really hope the Cloid does the job, I know there have been a lot of Clomid threads on here previously - althought I admit to being butt hole ignorant about it.

Yes I've read up about ov pain and there is some evidence that the pain can occur towards the end of the ovulation, so the egg could have already made headway (maybe ...) I do well get the pain late on cd 17, and I only have a 27-30 day cycle so that could be true.
Ahhh only one way to know for sure... the two week wait

Jen1209 · 31/01/2006 16:42

Hi Piffle and welcome! Hi to everyone else!

Sorry to hear that DH is away whilst you ov Piffle - at least you get ov pains though! I have never known when I ov although I found out why today...

Fertility Dr gave me the results today. I have had 3 day 21 bloods in the last 6 months and I haven't been ov'ing hence why we have had such probs - the Dr thinks the only time I have ov'ed in recent history is when we conceived in Sept... therefore she has put me on a 3 month course of Clomid which will hopefully do the trick (please please please) I am v pleased that I have some answers but it still doesn't tell me why the m/c happened (sorry, bit of a control freak, I like to have all the answers!)

So therefore in the first time in forever, I am really looking forward to AF arriving I then have to go back in the first month of the clomid to have the day 21 bloods done again to make sure the Clomid is working...

DP isn't going to know what's hit him next month!

Hope everyone else ok, how are you feeling majormoo?

J x

FirstNikki · 31/01/2006 16:38

just crashing in to say congrats majormoo on your bfp!

majormoo · 31/01/2006 15:48

that's why I never like hearing advice to just relax about it all. It just isn't that easy!

well you never know piffle, if he only left on Monday there may still be a chance.

Piffle · 31/01/2006 14:52

Golly it is really hard to ttc and not get all wrapped up in everything.
Today I'm panicking about only having one tube (ectopic nov04), that dp was only here for 4 days last wee, left Monday am, today I am on day 17 and having ov pains
Hard enough to bloody conceive with him here.

majormoo · 31/01/2006 13:08

Hello Piffle-welcome

Well I have done another test and same result! Due date will be 10th October if all goes OK.
Jane I think I will be offered a CVS at around 11 weeks, which diagnoses various chromosonal problems. But not sure what we will do about that. There is a still a risk of miscarriage with the procedure. That is a long way off yet anyway-will feel like a milestone to get that far.

Good luck with the fertility Dr appointment Jen.

andyrobo237 · 30/01/2006 21:05

Hi - got my ov testing sticks today - will need to wait 4 days to start using them - bus should be good for bding at weekend! Still on diet but not lost much - but hand better now, so can type and drive again! Hoping for a bfp in the next few cycles as would love to be off when dd starts school!

Piffle · 30/01/2006 17:46

And whopping congrats on the BFPs!

Piffle · 30/01/2006 17:46

Would like to join this thread as well as the ttc after miscarriage one if thats ok?

Jen1209 · 30/01/2006 13:36

Confrats majormoo - that's more great news! Lets hope the thread continues to be lucky!

Am on CD15 here with another apt at the fertility Dr tomorrow for the results of last test (day 2/21 & other stuff) - have been at it like rabbits so fingers crossed

Bought a new bed on Sat (already got the new mattress - it's yummy) so fingers crossed it will be lucky for us!

Artoo · 30/01/2006 13:05

Congratulations majormoo - that's great news

I'm back on CD3, playing with a Clearblue fertility monitor this cycle, and counting the days to the next gynaecologist appointment (21st Feb).

Hugs,
Artoo.

fairydust · 30/01/2006 10:32

CD27 here but that's all depends on wether i OV'd this mnoth have gone as far as CD90 so fingers crossed if i'm pregnant i at least get an AF.

Congrats to all the big positives.

Micku5 · 30/01/2006 10:27

Just seen this...... excellent news majormoo. Congratulations!!

puppy · 30/01/2006 10:10

A big fat congratulations majormoo!!!!!

Like homemama says you can't get a false postitive from testing too early, hpts work by detecting a hormone (beta hcg) which is only about your body when your pregnant, there are scenarios that do give you false positives on hpts like reading the test out of the time limt and if you are on drugs that have the pregnancy hormone in them can cause incorrect results.

homemama · 30/01/2006 08:59

Hi Majormoo, still lurking on here and just saw you got a BFP! Congratulations!!
I am sure you cannot get a false positive from testing early. I tested quite a few days before AF this time and got a very clear positive. I'm def pg as I'm constantly sick and can't fit in my bras!
Have you worked out a due date? I guess you'll be due Oct. Let us know how you get on!
Good luck to everyone else!

jane313 · 29/01/2006 21:57

congratulations. early testing cannot make a difference surely. You only have that hormone if you are pregnant. Can you have early chromosone testing? A friend in a similar position to you has been offered it at 11 weeks.

majormoo · 29/01/2006 21:49

Jag-sorry to hear about AF.

As for me. Well AF due on Wednesday, but have been feeling nackered, ratty with DD and desperate for Salt and Vinegar Walkers crisps. I have one of those digital clearblue pregnancy tests in the cupboard-you aren't supposed to test til your AF is due. Anyway, as I think you can probably tell by now, I couldn't resist, although I knew I should wait til Wednesday-and it came up with a big fat 'Pregnant'. Obviously v. pleased but not sure, if I did it earlier than I should have, whether that can affect the result.

Feel very funny about it, though we have been at it like rabbits so should not be a surprise.

Got to try to push all thoughts of chromosonal problems out of my head, but it will be hard.

JAG123 · 28/01/2006 19:31

Hi All

Well Af arrived. I'm gutted as i really thought it had happened this month. Have been feeling a bit queasy & also felt just like i did when i was pg with DD (stretchy pressure sensations. Had a few tears but now just feel stupid. I think i am going to have to talk to DH about perhaps going to GP to send us for tests but i know he won't be very keen.

Hope everyone else is ok
Take Care
J
