Well AF arrived this morn

JAG123 · 22/02/2006 18:32

Hi All

Haven't posted much lately. Trying to take a little step back. Haven't been checking my dates past ov time but i think AF due this weekend. No symtoms of anything so don't think it will be any good.

Jen & Artoo - Good Luck with the Clomid

Stacey - Well Done on the weight loss. I wish i could get started but i can't seem to stop eating at the moment.

I hope everyone else is well

Take Care All
J

Hi Jen and Artoo-just wanted to wish you luck with the Clomid. Hope it works its magic.

Jen1209 · 22/02/2006 08:19

Artoo,

Piece of advice that seemed to work for me... take the Clomid last thing at night so any effects from it are whilst you are asleep. This meant I was only slightly stroppy up til about mid morning! Fingers crossed for you though.

Artoo · 22/02/2006 05:27

Hi Jen, welcome back. Sorry about AF, but good news on the clomid.

DH and I had our follow-up appointment with the gynae yesterday. All our tests came back normal, so I too will be starting on clomid (50mg) when AF shows this time She's due any day now, I'm currently CD26 of 23-27.

Hugs,
Artoo.

Hi everyone - I'm back!

Had a fabulous time, apart from AF showing and ruining any holiday bding! Have now taken my first month of Clomid which was ok apart from turing me into a stroppy cow for a few hours! Now on CD8 so trying to bd as much as poss for the next 10 or so days...

My BF had her twins on Sat morning, they are sooo gorgeous, Haven't met them yet but she texted pictures!

Hope all ok with you lot,

J x

hi everyone, its been really quiet on here recently,

well me and dp are still trying for #2, but my diet is going well i was 13 stone 7 and now im 12 stone 5, so im getting there, my target is about 10 stone, hopefully that will help on the baby front!

we're also now waiting to hear about a part buy part rent flat that we can (just about) afford and if all goes through well we could be moving in within 6 weeks!

and still going ahead with the wedding plans which seems to be taking forever, but thanks to the diet i can nearly get into my size 12 wedding dress!

sorry to rattle on, im just so excited somehow everything seems to be moving in the right direction, dont feel as down about not being pg just yet as i now realise theres still time and as theres so much else going on bding doesnt always happen at the right time and im stressed which doesnt help, but it will happen, the same as it will for all of us!!!!

suss · 16/02/2006 19:18

Thanks Artoo its definately the latter! Its just I need to know so that I can time my next IVF attempt - in April I think.

Artoo · 14/02/2006 06:55

suss, you don't count spotting as your period. Your first day of your period is the first day you bleed.

The spotting could be a sign of implantation, or of AF being on the way. I hope it's the former and not the latter.

Hugs,
Artoo.

suss · 13/02/2006 21:17

stupid question - since my last lot of IVF I have had slight spotting before my period or I am assuming that is what it is. Should I count My cycle from the spotting or the first day of real bleeding?

peachygirl · 12/02/2006 13:01

coincidentally there is an article in todays Sunday Times style magazine all about your cycle.
style

peachygirl · 12/02/2006 11:18

Lucy, you should count the first day of your perod as day 1 and the day before your next period starts as the last day. A good way of tracking your cycle is through CM. I have posted a website, (on various threads,I'm sure everyone is fed up of me posting it)
I'll put it on here
Have a look, it will help you understand your cycle. Go to where it says indicators.
You could always got to your local family planning nurses if they do natural family planning. They will be able to help you learn about your cycle. Again on the site there is a section that will tell your where your nearest clinic is.

Artoo · 11/02/2006 09:26

Hi ladies,

Sorry about going all quiet on you - work has gone mega-busy, and my evenings seem to be filled with activity, so my computer time is severely cut down.

I'm still here, and still TTC. Next gynae appointment is now only slightly more than one week away, so I'm looking forward to that. My gynae told me in December that he didn't think I was ovulating, and since then I've been trying various methods to see if I can detect OV. This cycle I treated myself to a Clearblue fertility monitor, and I am so excited because this morning on CD15 I got a little egg symbol - that should mean I am due to OV

Staceym - sorry about AF. I hope this cycle is the one for you!

Lucy - it's very difficult to predict what your cycle is doing without using kits etc, because every woman is different. CD1 is the first day of your period A woman with a 28 day cycle is supposed to ovulate around CD14, but this varies from woman to woman. Your best bet i you don't want to get into kits etc is to make sure you have sex 2-3 times per week throughout your cycle. That should be enough to do it. Remember that 95% of couples will get pregnant within one year of trying, and if you've tried for a year with no joy, go to your GP (make that six months if you are close to 35).

Hugs to all!

Artoo.

lucy5 · 10/02/2006 21:03

Sorry if this is a stupid question but how do I work out my cycle roughly? Is it from day 1 of period? I dont want to get into kits yet, just want to keep an eye on things.

My best friend has recently told me that she is preggers and I feel a little bit sad. Isn't that terrible? I haven't even been trying and already i'm feeling like this. I am very pleased for her as she has had a miscarriage but i couldnt help feeling a little bit jealous and i have shocked myself.

staceym11 · 10/02/2006 18:38

Stacey - sorry to hear about AF arriving - hugs for you...

Well, I am signing off for a few days as off on hols tomorrow to Spain for 9 days. Have just finished first stage of packing (i.e. have put stuff in suitcase, shut suitcase and then found 6 things around the flat that should be in the suitcase!) will finish tomorrow!

Fingers crossed for anyone testing soon - AF due Saturday but I am sure with the recent results that she will turn up. Taking 1st month of Clomid with me to start...

Hope everyone is well and look forward to catching up with the news soon

gemmaseascout · 07/02/2006 14:44

I have never had ovulation pain before, even before I started on the depo. So wouldnt know. It definitly wasnt a stomach ache!! Well have been bding saturday and sunday so fingers crossed!!

Piffle · 07/02/2006 14:38

Sorry to hear that Lucy, hope you're ok about it.
Gemmaseascout if your pains were one sided could it have been ovulation pain? I often get them so bad they wake me up.

Jen1209 · 06/02/2006 17:02

Hi all,

Sorry to hear the news Lucy, its such an emotional rollercoaster isn't it? Treat yourself to a large glass of wine Hugs to you hun

Hi Gemma, not sure what the pains could be, think implantation may come with a bit of bleeding? Sorry not much help, hope someone else can...

J

gemmaseascout · 06/02/2006 09:59

Hi
trying to get help!
Am 24 and have come off depo in october. Been trying hard to have baby, bding all the time!
Had very bad pains in abdomen friday night, woke me up. Could it it be implantation? Dont know when I would have ovulated as I havent been having periods.

jabberwocky · 05/02/2006 16:37

re: grapefruit juice - That is really strange that someone would do that! I'll be checking out of paranoia from now on

lucy5 · 05/02/2006 15:42

Sad to report that I am not preggers but will keep trying. Good luck to everyone , will keep you posted.
