Hi all. Congratulatins BestXmas! Well Done

Sorry about the AF's all, but the fun of trying over Christmas and enjoying the odd Baileys should soften the blow. That's what I keep telling myself. PG tests arrived in the post this morning but too late to catch the first wee, so I'm waiting till tomorrow (still a day early!) It's so hard not to think about it all the time.

Any news Susysweet? Has AF turned up or was it implantation do you think?

SusySweet · 14/12/2005 22:08

Tiny bit of brown spotting this evening. Think it's too late to be an implantation bleed?

bestxmaspressieever · 14/12/2005 18:21

thanks Trix! have been and bought a digital test to do in a day or two, just to confirm, but my faint pink line was still there when I came home from work so fingers crossed...
my EDD would be about 24th Aug (according to fertilityfriend!!)

trix1 · 14/12/2005 17:33

Congratulations to BestXmaspressie - it really it the best xmas pressie ever. I got a BFP last week and still cant beleive it. What is your edd?

Who is testing next ladies?

bestxmaspressieever · 14/12/2005 15:15

thanks HM and puppy - not I'm not susysweet!!

will test again in a couple of days, just to make sure. cant believe it!!

homemama · 14/12/2005 14:35

Oh and congratulations to BXPE! As far as I know a positive is a positive!

homemama · 14/12/2005 14:33

Hi ladies, sorry about the AFs! Still at least you can be very festive this Christmas!

Nothing to report here. I think I'm on CD20 or so. I've started being more careful to take my folic acid every day as I'd been a bit slack with it.

I'm looking forward to Af because then we can start trying again.

Hope everyone is ok!

puppyisnotjustforxmas · 14/12/2005 14:13

hi bestxmaspressieever, Yep a faint line is still a line imo aslong as its within the time limit, a line appears if it has detected the pregnancy hormone My last pregnancy I had a barely visible line, so a big congratulations to you and good luck ( are you susysweet?)

Sorry about af jen and norm., hope everybody else is ok.

I'm on cd25 having af type pains had slight acid in mouth and also a bad taste in mouth which i am putting down to having a filling and a extraction at the dentist last monday, also very tired falling asleep on sofa most nights when usually i am a night owl. TMI alert I also had a very small blob of very very pale pink cm.

bestxmaspressieever · 14/12/2005 13:43

is a very faint pink line still a positive?

if so, yipee!!
and thanks to mumsnetters for all their advice!!

Artoo · 14/12/2005 12:54

Susy,

You'd be best holding off from testing as long as possible. Certainly at least until AF is late for you, and the longer you can wait the more chance you've got of getting that BFP

Fingers crossed for you, the symptoms are sounding promising

Hugs,
Artoo.

SusySweet · 14/12/2005 11:16

Hi girls
I'm on CD22-ish today and the waiting to test is driving me crazy!

Having some funny symptoms - major hot flushes in bed at night keeping me awake, starving hungry most of the time, acid rising up into my throat, really emotional and feeling like I can't be bothered doing anything at all. Oh and seafood is knocking me sick like never before - went out for a meal at weekend and the look and smell of the prawns DH had for starter stayed with me for days after turning my stomach. Same when I made DS's tuna sandwiches yesterday!

How soon can I test? It will be 2 weeks on Tues since I think ovulated...

And d'ya reckon I'm deluding myself with imaginary symptoms cos I want them to mean something?!

I'm a regular poster BTW but want to keep my identity schtum for now...

suss · 14/12/2005 09:38

Hi I've found you at last. My stats

Me 36 sadly!
DH 42
DB 10.5 months

DB was conceived on our 10th IVF attempt mostly male fertility problems, with a bit PO, but I am ovulating. I was pg with our 1st attempt but had m/c at 9 weeks, which has taken seven years. Our 11th attempt Nov this year was unsuccessful and now I am thinking that I won't have sibling for DB, which I desperately want, as I am getting old. we are going to try IVF again in the new year.

Artoo · 13/12/2005 21:26

Hugs Jen and Norm, sorry about AF finding you both

Hugs,
Artoo.

Jen1209 · 13/12/2005 20:26

Hi - quick update - AF arrived today so blood tests tomorrow. Am pleased that she has arrived coz I can get on with the tests but sad as it was another kick about not being pg anymore.

Ho hum. Got a phone call today from my godson (3) who told me that Mummy's babies (twins, due Feb 06) weren't going to be called Kitty & Archie anymore, they were Lego and Dinosaur... I laughed so hard I nearly choked!!!

DH:33
DD:2.5

This will be first month TTC

Hope everyone is OK.

Jen1209 · 12/12/2005 20:33

Hiya, well very grumpy and bloated here so AF just around the corner I am sure! Got our Xmas do on Friday and whilst we are only going to the pub for a meal and then those who want to are going into town, I shall mainly be wearing a bin bag if my tummy doesn't go down some!

Had a fabulous weekend with my Granny. SHe really is an inspiration. She's 82 does the Telegraph Cryptic x word every day, has got cancer in most places (spine, hips, breast etc) but is as sharp and as determined as she always has been. She absolutely hates being ill and relying on other people (my Grandad died v suddenly 2 years ago). She is also a nightmare to push in a wheelchair as she backseat drives "Mind that display" "watch that pedestrian" etc!!! Sorry to go on but I adore her!

Quick stats:
Me - 26
DP - 35
ttc #1 - from Sept 04. M/c Nov 05.

Currently waiting for AF to start so I can have lots of tests done!

peachygirl · 12/12/2005 19:33

Hi can I come on board too
Feel like I have put my stats on several threads but never mind.
Me 32
DH31
Will be first
Going to be trying this month when ovulating trying not to scare DH or put too much pressure on him as we live in a very small house and I'm not sure he is totally ready for it all, however two of my friends are experiencing quite serious difficulties conceiving so I don't want to wait and then find it is too late.
I temp and have a persona machine.
I am trying to be good with diet etc but tonight washed down Sanatogen and evening primrose oil tablets with red wine Ha Ha.
Good luck to everyone I hope this is a lucky thread for us all

JAG123 · 12/12/2005 19:14

Hi All

Thought i'd better post my stats again

ME - 34
DH - 39
DD - 5
TTC - Given the go ahead in September 2004. Trying since about May with the 'right time' ie opk kits etc.

Diagnosed with Breast Cancer in July 2001 treatment included Chemotherapy which i was told would leave me 70% not likely to get pregnant again. But you never know have continued to have regular AFs & always seem to to get signs of ov around cd13. I am now on my 2nd month of Persona so fingers crossed.

Sorry about AF Stacey.

Puppy i am impressed you seem to remember everyone. I'm hopeless i can't keep up.

Congratulations to Trix & heres to many more on this thread.

Hi to everyone else. I'm glad the parties seem to be going well. Got mine Friday.

Hi everyone. Finally got all the Xmas shopping done this weekend - yeh!! Am on cd6 so will be doing lots of bd'ing over xmas - except we're staying at my parents next weekend in single beds which is a bit of a pain. Will still be drinking like a fish over Xmas. If nothing happens this month I'm considering going on a health drive in the New Year but find it really hard giving up the vino until I'm actually pregnant
