Bonjour everyone! Time for me to join this bus, after no luck for the April and May ones. Anyway, that's good news Readynow, don't worry too much about the next lot of tests at least one is out of the way

I'm getting really pissed off with waiting for ovulation. CD19 and no sign. It went from day 22 to day 17 which was great, but it seems to have been a one off. I've been having cramps and the right sort of cm for a week now but no positive opks and no temperature increase. Bloody egg.

Still think you're showing amazing resolve Mama!!

Well, you would have been proud of me Ladies, I resisted P-ingOAS this morning! Going to try and wait til the weekend, but not promising anything!!!

Hope everyone is well this morning. Oh and echoing Deelite's point, Trilottie - I too went completely off alcohol each time I was pregnant - it makes it very easy to abstain! :)

DeeLite · 22/09/2011 07:35

I'm also up for joining in on the pissathon on Monday if AF hasn't shown up by then. Fingers crossed everyone.

Well done Trilottie. Don't worry about the booze. I was dreading being off booze when pregnant the last time but pregnancy hormones make booze seem really unattractive so I didn't miss it at all. I went off curry too and was more upset about that!

Mama5isalive · 21/09/2011 19:53

Readynow - yehhhhhh on the results! TTC is clear for take off!

Just removing myself from stats. struck out 2 weeks ago. and dp is away for a a few weeks now. Maybe see some of you on the july bus.

Readynow · 21/09/2011 15:22

Just back from getting ny day 3 blood test results from the GP. All normal, which is a relief :o Just need to book in for my day 21 test later in the month to check progesterone levels. Which I could start to relax but now worrying about other things instead!!
Who'd of thought ttc could be so easy?!!!!!! :o

Mama5isalive · 21/09/2011 14:00

I refuse to POAS, i refuse to POAS,i REFUSE to POAS!!!!!
not testing until weekend no matter how much the clearblue tries to seduce me to POit!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

trilottie · 21/09/2011 11:55

Sorry for not coming back - damn work getting in the way!
LouLou - he was really happy and excited. We went out for a celebratory Thai meal while trying not to get too excited/count our chickens and all that. Discussed names (!), when to tell our parents, etc. I was thinking Olympia but he says no!
This sounds horribly selfish but I'm dreading 9+ months without alcohol!
Good luck all with testing next Monday then!

ffnorm · 21/09/2011 11:27

Hi all - sorry I've been very quiet but have been following the thread.

Firstly, Big Congrats trilottie and on your 1st cycle!!

This is my SWI week...going well so far, managed to get DH to dtd 2 nights in a row, which for him is impressive, taking a night off tonight as he has a dinner meeting, then back at it tomorrow night. I know they say every other night is best but I'll take what I can get as he tends to go off the deed when tired/stressed/unwell etc etc (sorry if TMI!!)

FX for all who are testing soon - we want a lovely big due in June antenatal thread!

GTR2882 · 21/09/2011 11:26

No Loulou, not loony at all - i have been doing the exact same thing; I POAOS every day (sometimes twice) just to make sure that they are definitely negative!!! That way, when i come to POAS i can at least be sure that I am not being fooled :)

louloubellamozzarella · 21/09/2011 11:24

Yep, Monday. Three of us in so far, anyone else welcome to join in the pissathon Grin

My new substitute for POAS is PO ov sticks (POAOS as I like to say)... same kinda geeky testing of cycle and I can fool myself that if I know that I'm not oving still then I'm definitely in the 2WW and should hang on in case of a BFP. That sounds insane when written out. What a loon.

festiemum · 21/09/2011 09:53

Oh I'm just rubbish! AF isn't even due til saturday, FFS!

But, as you say GTR and loulou they're so cheap, it doesn't matter and I haven't told DH - ahem! They (men) must just think we're bonkers surely?

Anyway, looking at my chart on FF (don't temp, so it's not that helpful tbh) - I went for an ov day compromise, since my OPK just confused matters (not even sure it was a + frankly), and going by fanny batter - which the Bible (TCOYF) says you should always do - I may only be 9 DPO!

Blush Blush Blush

Oh feck, step away from the toilet, festie! So.... Monday loulou? You see, you're being sensible! GTR I hope you get your shift and testing can begin! :o

floralflora · 21/09/2011 09:47

I will test on Monday, Loulou, if AF doesn't show up in the meantime. I did already test Blush (BFN) because I reckon I ov'd a good 2 weeks ago, so I don't hold out much hope.

louloubellamozzarella · 21/09/2011 09:47

Ok, pee sticks at the ready! will not test at weekend, will not test at weekend...

GTR2882 · 21/09/2011 09:18

Loulou - if i get the temp shift that I want tomorrow morning then that would put my ov date at CD32 (I am on CD40) and 9dpo. Monday would prob be too early for me to test (FF is saying 2nd October, we know i will have tested at least once 3 or 4 times by then :)) but I am willing to take an internet cheapie with you :)

louloubellamozzarella · 21/09/2011 09:10

Hold those wrists out festie!

I would say, try to wait till Friday then test again. Friday would be a far better day to test cause you can celebrate with a takeaway/meal out/chocolate if it's BFP or commiserate with a glass of Wine if it turns out BFN (maybe a small one just in case you want to test again on Monday)- win-win situation!

However, I'm so weak willed when it comes to POAS but they are sooo cheap and no one ever has to know.... but always regret it when I do and I know it's too early cause I'm 99% likely to be disappointed. Am trying harder and determined not to be weak this month Hmm

Ok, I've decided that I shall be strong and test on Monday... then if BFN (v likely) again next Friday. Do I have any testing buddies?

GTR2882 · 21/09/2011 08:42

Festie LOL!! You are officially a POASaholic Grin

As the internet cheapies are....ahem.....cheap, and given you have never had a problem with them before, I would wait a few days and test with fmu with a couple of them, if nothing (or if something faint) then I would definitely go out and buy and expensive brand just to make sure!! :)

festiemum · 21/09/2011 08:27

Woo hoo! Congrats trilottie!

I have been bad and need a wrist slapping ladies!

I decided this month to be moderate with my POAS. Last month I was testing from 9 DPO and got into a bit of a pickle. Got my first (faint) BFP at 13 DPO and then as you know, miscarried, so.... anyway. After exhaustion and nausea aplenty, I made it to 11 DPO - pathetic I know, and unsurprisingly BFN. I didn't get one BFP on the cheapy internets last month, and I'm back using them this month, cos they've always worked for me before. So do I - wait a couple of days and try again with the internet cheapies or, go and get some decent tests and try again tomorrow?!

I am festiemum and I'm a POAS-aholic. Ahem! Blush

louloubellamozzarella · 20/09/2011 20:49

OOps forgot the others - short term memory! Thanks pb.
Lottie, let us know how your OH reacted to the news!!
Any news from anyone else? I depressingly have nothing to report...still... will live for the moment vicariously tthrough others' BFPs :)
