Struck out this month...anyone care to join me on the June 2012 bus?

OP posts:
TheCake · 20/09/2011 18:31

trilotte you've taped the test to the door! That is brilliant! I could not do that as my door opens straight onto the street, the old man next door who is always on his step smoking cigars would see it before my DH.

Wowweee trilottie, great news - have updated you to the grads list below Grin

I wrote a long post earlier but it never went up, grrr! Can't remember what it said exactly now annoyingly but ended in me saying I think I might be out for this month and onto July bus. Just don't think we've SWId enough and I don't have any symptoms to speak of.

I know it might be a bit early to call but I'm not getting my hopes up. Think I'll test this coming Monday just in case... not sure if is too early though? I could have ovd anytime from the Friday before last (when I had cramping) to last Wed (when I had positive on ov stick - but didn't POAOS before then so might not have been first positive day!) Hmmm,....anyone have any views?

Will post with alluring knicker pics later Wink

Mama5isalive · 20/09/2011 17:56

WHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPYYYYYYYYY for Trilotte i wouldnt use the other one if you got a positive!!!!!!!! its a clearblue dit - you can take a picture of it(i did but had a poundland cheapie positive, then broke out the cld)

well its a roll on this thread so hope it works out for us all - BFP!!!!

trilottie · 20/09/2011 17:55

Thanks all - am waiting for DH to come home now - I've taped the test to the front door!
Good Luck Lydia - You sound as clueless as I was - but I'm now an expert due to reading the (very well regarded on MN) Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Really interesting and easy to read, I found. Asked DH to read a couple of chapters too.

LydiaTheTattoedLady · 20/09/2011 17:46

I'm new and have no idea if I should board this bus or wait for another - feels a bit weird posting just after Trilotte just broke such amazing news.

Have FINALLY worked my magic on BF and convinced him to go childwards. Thought that would be the hard bit.....but (after looking into it) not so sure -Sex ed at school made it sound so flipping easy to get pregnant, sad to see that it's probably not going to be instantaneous.

ANYWAY...this is our first month of really going for it (last month wasn't really a concerted effort, as he only reached the realisation post OV) and now I'm terrified of the Old Woman - AF due on October 8th....Crossing fingers (that's how you have babies, right? Or did I not listen in sex ed?).
REALLY lovely to meet you all. I've been really inspired by all your posts.

TheCake · 20/09/2011 17:34

trilotte you will get your olympics maternity leave too!

TheCake · 20/09/2011 17:27

trilotte that is fantastic news- congratulations! X I think retesting is up to you- you are pregnant and don't have to retest unless you personally want to. Never had a bfp myself, but from what I've seen on here it varies- some people test and test and others don't.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Starting swi marathon last night- tried the position beloved by this forum! But- tmi alert- my DH always gets cramp in that position so we had to switch to me on top and I ended up with a bit of spillage! I know people say missionary or from behind is the best for ttc, but it is easiest for my DH to cum when I'm on top. I will just have to be quicker at jumping off next time Grin. Or maybe I could do I handstand after !

Readynow · 20/09/2011 17:24

Congratulations Trilottie Have not yet had a BFP myself so I'm not totally sure but if your temps have remained high, your period is late & you have a positive test then you probably don't really need to do a second test for confirmation.

trilottie · 20/09/2011 17:00

OMG!
Just did a test, couldn't wait any longer, and its only a BFP! Says Pregnant - 2-3 weeks. waaaah!
am shaking! Can anyone tell me when I should use the next test in the pack of 2 just to confirm? tomorrow, 2 days, a week? AF was due on sunday.

trilottie · 20/09/2011 10:02

right i can finally add myself to the POAS section - it's day 17 of high temps but i chickened out of doing a test this morning - will try tomorrow seeing as thats day 18. have some weird symptoms but that might be PMT symptoms, i haven't had a proper period for so long I have no idea what they used to be like. Spent a tenner yesterday in Tesco on the double pack of the clearblue digital conception thingy - who knew they were so expensive! had to surreptiously go to the checkout hiding it as i was in there with some guys from work.

Morning ladies - just a quick update, I think i might have to jump off the June bus, i think the old hag is about to make an appearance :( have been crampy for the last 2 days now (it has gotten worse this morning and is eminating down my legs as well) and when i checked my cervix this morning, it's medium, soft and kind of open (i say kind of because it's sort of raised on the edges and dipped in the middle never felt it like that before), so I am assuming that impending doom is looming in the wings!!

Loulou - i promise i will get some links for the sexy undies at some point this evening, was working late yesterday so i never got a chance (and then the footie was on..........sorry Blush)

Mama5, festie and to all those waiting to test etc - really really hope you get your BFPs this month!!! I will be charting a July bus soon and don't want to see any of you on there Grin

Will linger around here for a while longer so i can keep an eye on things!! :)

I am already feeling weird. SWI on CD 5. Since then, sore boobs on and off. Not normally a symptom round now - usually before period. There is no way in hell I could have got knocked up on day 5, is there? If indeed, given my spotting it was day 5. It could have been day 12 or 14 or something. Who knows.

Oh, and Mama - you were on my previous antenatal thread. Grin

Mama5isalive · 19/09/2011 18:46

Hi all and welcome newbie needinstructions
Hi Loulou - it really only takes 1 good go! so go and do it for the team!
GTR - hope the charting and temping gives you good results this month and you get your BFP!!!!!!!
we are due a good string of BFP's - i just Pray im in there not feeling very hopeful though( i cant shake of the feeling that old hag is coming)
help.com - feeling blllllaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!
shopping trip i think for temp good factor, although a BFP would be better!!!!!!

GTR2882 · 19/09/2011 16:54

Welcome needinstructions hope you have found a comfy seat :) Fx that you won't need it for long Wink

I think you can only truly start to feel symptoms once implantation has occurred and the body starts producing the hcg hormone, before then not much is happening!!

I am still feeling extremely dizzy and have nearly gone over twice now!! Hoping this will be short lived!!

And while I'm here... anyone know how early is the earliest you can notice symptoms? I feel queasy like I did with morning sickness with my first two but I can't be more than a week post-ov (irregular periods so really not sure) so I'm assuming it's just a bug, while keeping fingers crossed...

GTR2882 · 19/09/2011 11:53

I'm in - anything to get me out of this rat race Loulou - i think you are definitely onto something there because i think a lot of women would benefit jump at the chance of having their fertility explained in laymans terms!! Sorry about the waffle in that post - not very clear at all!! I think what i was trying to get at was that no matter what happens with temp increases/decreases, if my temp goes up to 36.4 (the magic number :)) then ov will have occurred on CD32 and I will be in the 2ww (according to FF)

Because my mojo has gone i just have not got the inclination to SWI anymore - this is all very weird!!

Popcorn - i have never, ever noticed ov symptoms in the past, so you could be right. Fx!! I hate my body at the moment for playing games with me!

louloubellamozzarella · 19/09/2011 11:44

Very strange. After (just about!) following your explanation it sounds like ov time is a possibility then, albeit in a wierd long drawn out style this month. It might be that I've misunderstood though, I'm sooo untechnical with ov stuff, never dealt with temps etc so sorry if I've completely got the wrong end of the stick!!

I think I need a fertility tutor to show me the rope Grin - i can see a gap in the market with 'A rough guide to your fertiliy' - I can write and edit, anyone wanna partner up with me?! We could be millionaires - this making a baby business ain't gonna stop anytime soon Wink

Oh yes, send over your link later. Will do the same later - I don't think I can quite get away with researching underwear at work without looking a bit shameful.

PopcornMouse · 19/09/2011 11:39

GTR, I get headaches when I OV...... you could just have a bug though, lots going around at the minute?

GTR2882 · 19/09/2011 11:24

Loulou FF has not confirmed ov and the OPKs have not really shown a definite positive yet, they got darker for a bit over the weekend and then went back to being pale as normal but I just feel rotten - if i get a thermal shift to 36.40 then FF puts ov at CD32 (I am currently on CD38 and have been hypothetically entering temps to see what would happen if it rose to 36.4, even if it gets to that next Sunday, ov day would still be CD32) I did have af like cramps on CD32 that only last a day and were gone and have had no cramps until i woke up with them this morning, really did think that the witch had turned up but after some internal rummaging this morning, there is not even a hint of her!! Just feel rotten :(

I have had a look at some sexy undies, but left the links on my other laptop -will post when i get in tonight :)

louloubellamozzarella · 19/09/2011 11:11

Hi all. Hope you had good weekends. Welcome cake!

I didn't have much of a break (on course all weekend) but kept me plenty busy and I'm feeling surprisingly energized today - well a whole lot better than I did at the start of last week Grin Still no new underwear - must start on that tonight. 20% off ASOS at the moment so I'll be browsing later!

floral - good thinking with the extra attention. I look forward to having symptoms so I can do my share of milking too! Absolutely nothing to report as yet.. but I'm probably only just in the 2WW (god knows what my cycle is up to this month) so ridiculously early to be doing any SS.

I'm really unsure as to whether we've managed enough SWI to be in with a chance this month :( just been so busy and tired out we've only managed in a few times over ov time. I'm just holding onto the hope that it only takes the once so it is possible (if not probable!) Gonna pounce on OH tonight to seal the deal!

GTR hmmm that sounds v strange. Have you definitely already ovd? I've started noticing my ov pains and other symptoms around that time which are a lot stronger than I ever remember. Ov cramps nearing period pain intensity (and I have really bad period pain :() I don't normally advocate POAS unneccessarily, but maybe if you did it would put your mind at rest so you can focus on feeling better?

GTR2882 · 19/09/2011 10:16

Welcome Cake

Mama5 i am still crossing everything that the old hag stays away - grrrr!!!

I have a fresh new dilemma!! Since last Thursday evening i have had a headache that just will not go and it even hurts when i move my eyes. On top of this I am feeling dizzy, nauseous and the cramps have returned more painful than normal. If that wasn't enough, i have completely gone of SWI Shock!!!!! I am also (TMI warning) feeling very wet down below and seem to have tons of creamy cm!! I do not believe that i have ov'd yet, let alone anywhere near the 2ww so am feeling a lot more confused than usual!! Please someone tell me i am not going insane Hmm

Mama5isalive · 19/09/2011 07:54

Welcome newbie called TheCake thank you for joining this thread i hope just taking a step forwards and taking a seat will bring you a BFP especially if you sit in the seats that was held by our forma buddies who are now Pregnant!
Well Im due Tomorrow and not POAS for i cant take the 1 line showing up!
so will hold out, wait and see, if the AF hag turns up!!!!!! (ahhhhhhhhdeepsigh as i walk around trying to distract myself and not notice that 4 days or so have passed and still no AF)Grin

floralflora · 18/09/2011 22:55

I'm really milking the situation of possibly being pg. Well, you never know Wink. Oh, so lethargic today, I just had to get hubby running around while I had a monster lie-in and plenty of sit-downs through the day heehee! Don't know if I can wait another week to POAS... Does it really not give a proper reading for TWO WEEKS??

Hope you've all had a lovely weekend and are feeling more energised than me! xxx

festiemum · 18/09/2011 20:46

Hi The Cake - I am very much liking the name!!! Good luck with that SWi-ing!

Hello all. I am trying not to go crazy in the 2ww and just put off POAS as long as possible, cos I got over excited last month, and what did that get me? A chemical pregnancy, that's what!! I am 8dpo - it's going SLOWLY..... :)

Oh Mama5 you're so not out of the running yet!

xx
