Hi too, I am doing ok so far, been keeping busy too have been out all afternoon with my friends for afternoon tea. To be honest I can't really think about it because it's just too scary so I just keep putting it to the back of my mind. I will be keeping everything crossed for you tomorrow x

greenzebra · 16/10/2011 14:31

Thank you Blue for puttin gup that thread, I missed it till this morning, had no idea. The thread has me in tears at the moment and thank you to you girlies who lit a candle for my Ophelia.

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 16/10/2011 13:12

How are you holding up, Ciwi?

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 16/10/2011 13:12

Am consumed with nervous energy - hence have been hoovering and am on second load of washing already! Must Keep Busy... DH on the other hand is dealing with the pressure by playing Playstation incessantly. We are going out for dinner tonight too. Last meal for the condemned (wo)man! (Apart from breakfast and probably lunch tomorrow, that is.) Wibble, wibble.

razzdazz · 16/10/2011 10:17

blue such a beautiful thread, my tears have been flowing, well done you xx
Hello everyone hope you are all well and having a good weekend.

AngelGeorgie · 15/10/2011 23:07

Cheese difference is the spinal doesn't last as long as the epidural so hopefully able to mobilise quicker & it's an local injection in to the fluid in the spinal cord where as the epidural is a line in thd same place . Spinal is generally quicker acting also. Thanks for advice on catheters u 2. Not souch having it inserted or removed just the thought of not knowing whiter I m pissing myself or not!!!!
Great thread Blue x

Bluetinkerbell · 15/10/2011 22:21

I lit a candle for all of our beautiful babies, thinking of you all xxx.

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 15/10/2011 22:17

Angel, try not to worry about the catheter - didn't hurt a bit! I had one in during labour and for the next 24 hours so they could monitor my urine output. Don't really remember it being put in - might have been before epidural but after gas and air and morphine, but I'm not sure (was somewhat out of it). When the MW took it out again I thought it would hurt but I didn't even feel it. My sister sat on the bag Grin at one point and I got a bit worried, but all was fine. I was worried that my muscles wouldn't remember what to do and I would wet myself, but that was also fine.

Blue, discussion of the day!

janedoe25 · 15/10/2011 22:15

mel the link is working fine, but it should be on page 1 somewhere on chat.

MelMal · 15/10/2011 22:12

I tried to read that thread and can't find it. Am I just being stupid?

CheeseandGherkins · 15/10/2011 21:43

Angel ah that makes sense, how does a spinal differ from an epidural? I've never had either but I might need a section and am terrified so trying to find out as much as possible. The thought of being numb really scares me. I had a catheter put in while having ds2 (they thought it was my bladder being full stopping him from descending) and it just stung for a second as they put it in and the same when removed but couldn't feel it while it was there. Try not to worry about that part, I'm a right wuss when it comes to medical things and I wouldn't worry about that anymore :) xx

AngelGeorgie · 15/10/2011 21:32

Hi Cheese anasethetic assessment is basically a load of questions to ensure I m
Safe for an aesthetic and they explain about different types of anaesthesia. I ll be having a spinal block as is fast acting but wears off quicker. More worried about the catheter having passed loads on women
( well & men!!!) I don t fancy that but... Xxxglad today was a good day xx

CheeseandGherkins · 15/10/2011 20:42

Angel glad all was ok. What's the anaesthetic assesment? Hope you hang on until Tuesday! I'm not too bad thanks, feeling better today again. x

ciwi happy belated birthday. Good luck for Monday, I hope the scan goes well. x

Had a lovely day today, knackered now though. Might try and get an early night but probable won't be able to sleep!

AngelGeorgie · 15/10/2011 13:53

Ciwi happy belated birthday. Xxx
Too Monday is so nearly here. I imagine it must be very scarey but at least Monday something will ve done.
Razz good luck for your scan also.
Hi all. Hope you re all ok?
Well, I m back in hospital!!! Appt yesterday morning fine; ( forgive me if I m repeating myself!!) had bp, urine, trace, injection & anaesthetist assessment all done. Felt chilled yesterday. Then at 7 last night felt very wet & had leakage. Rung delivery suite they admitted me. Trace was fine, no more leakage , speculum examination showed waters intact & cx not dilated. However, said if waters break would take me down for emergency section last night. Admitted to a ward in to a bay with 5 women: 2 snoring, 1 farting & 1 on her phone!!!! Then the lovely Midwive found me a side room as I m staff. Much better; though still only got about 6 hrs sleep!!!
Repeated trace this am all fine, reviewed by Drs to have repeat trace later today & stay in to tomorrow.very happy they are doing above & beyond for me. All staff been lovely , bar 1,
Won t do emergency section unless stuff happens . I m fine just tired , GILS definitely dropped!!! However, she's staying put to Tuesday, I ve told her!!!! Xxx

janedoe25 · 15/10/2011 12:04

ciwi · 15/10/2011 09:35

Too- it's at half one so we really will be going through it together. I am going to work in the morning though as we have a study day and I thought it would be better to be occupied, I may be wrong though!

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 14/10/2011 22:02

Happy Birthday, Ciwi! Sounds like you had a lovely time. Will be thinking of you on Monday too - when is the scan? The amnio is at 2. I have now forgotten where they said to go Blush, so will have to phone on Monday morning and ask. I think it was the scan dept but I'm not sure.

Bluetinkerbell · 14/10/2011 21:55
