greenzebra · 01/09/2011 10:45

cheese Im sorry your feeling down, please come on here and moan and stress about stuff, you are not alone and the chats and banter might help a little.

A big FX to everyone on this thread who are TTC or have a little bean in side, we all need some luck.

I went into work this morning, its a 25 minute walk and about half why there I had a panic attack, had to ring my DH to reassure me. Did end up getting there in the end but couldnt hack it all day so really just went into see everyone. There were all so nice and got lots of hugs and there were alot of tears. I was told that everyone had missed me and that when they had heard about Ophelia they had all cried and the office was seriously depressed for a while.
Ive been given different duties as the boss said he wants me to have time by myself or with others its up to me but he wants it to be flexible. Usually I work in a group of guys working to a schedule that has to be met, so Im pretty pleased with this also it gives me another two cycles of TTC without the hassle of working with heavy machinery and chemicals! Yay, so that is a load of my mind.

Razz thats good to know, it really knocked me for six it coming early but then again I did ov early. I tell you DH isnt going to know whats hit him this month! lol
Good luck with the concealing things, get the ginger biscuits or anything ginger to try and curb the sickness. Also lots of water, well this seamed to help me. Do things slowly too and hopefully your new work place will just think you sick all the time. lol How long are you going to try and conceal it for?

janedoe25 · 01/09/2011 10:05

cheese hope you are ok, I am here if you need to talk.

green BOO to AF. It will happen again for both of us soon enough.

razz sorry you are feeling so rubbish, but it will be all worth it in the end. x

razzdazz · 01/09/2011 09:39

Morning all,
Gosh there has been lots of activity on this thread!!
green I am really sorry that AF is hereSad. When I had CP's my next period was always slightly early which I always found strange as would of expected it to be later actually. My friend had her AF 21d after her cp, she did get a BFP the next month so fx (twice as hard) for you this month. Hope that you find that you quite enjoy being at work and like angel thinks it brings you some light relief Smile
cheese I was actually starting to wonder where you had gone. Really sorry that you are feeling so low at the moment and hope that you have got lots of support from your other half, family and friends. Keep coming back to talk on the thread as everyone here knows how you feel. You are not moaning you are 'sharing' with those who understand.
blue this could still be your month.........

Nausea and (lots) of sickness has hit me good and proper nowSad and I feel dreadful. Start a new job next week (I no I didnt time it well) and really hope I can conceal things. Thankfully I work a lot on my own so heres hoping.

CheeseandGherkins · 01/09/2011 09:18

Morning, not been able to catch up in a while. Hello to the newbies. I've been feeling so low and depressed that I'm barely functioning right now. Can't sleep much or eat much again. I'm really struggling. Forcing myself to leave the house for the first time in days today and see if the sunshine helps. Youngest dc is going to my mums and taking the older two out (it's the littlest one's treat time with them).

Sorry to moan and for not being up to date with everyone. I'll try and post later. Good luck to all and hope all pregnancies are going well xx

AngelGeorgie · 01/09/2011 07:11

Blue fx xxx
Green you may find you ll feel better when you re back at work having a laugh and banter with your colleagues. It's one of the factors that helped me to get back to some degree of normality after loosing Georgie.
mama what you rd experiencing is totally normal. I felt exactly like you i' d look at pg women and think " you haven t got a clue" look how easy it is for you!!! That was at my MC stage !!! When I lost Georgie I pretty much hated most people!!! But I came to the conclusion " bugger everyone else" through counselling and over time I learnt that my bitterness was only hindering me when ttc everyone else was carrying on with their lives , whiter I hated them or not!!! ( this does not make me and angel or with an holier than thou attitude!!!!) I still see chavs at work pg or with loads of kids and wonder where the fairness is??? Oh no , there Isn t any!!
If you read up on Pre- seed it's fine to use with ttc, in fact that's what it's recommended for, normal lubrication is acidic to sperm. We ordered pre- seed on line and used it intermittently it certainly helped us as we were doing the " egg meets sperm plan" and that involves lots of sex so sometimes needed a little help!!!Wink
Nice and sunny here have a good day love to all xxx

greenzebra · 01/09/2011 06:17

kite not sure about preseed, but after watching that 'great sperm race' programme the other day I would say anything like that could hinder sperm.

AF is deffo here! booooooooooooo Im really confused though as now I must have a shorter cycle but I still have the long bleed time. (well we shall seee with this one) If I do have a changed AF cycle now then when I had cp last time I did wait the correct time but still got a bfp. so more booooooooing

Im up way to early getting ready for work, have AF cramps from hell, dont want to go in, just want to stay in bed, so once again Im going to go boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

FX for you blue

Bluetinkerbell · 31/08/2011 22:11

oh my goodness, this thread is going fast today Wink will have a proper catch up tomorrow!
still no AF here, although if I would have a 'normal' cycle it would only show round the weekend. Breasts are a bit itchy, having to go to toilet more often and very tired... but hey, could be all in my head... wish we were next week already

OP posts:
Kitesurfgirl · 31/08/2011 22:08

Oh. and saw consultant yesterday. Total stress waste of time, because I was supposed to have been booked in to see the haemotologist, and they'd booked me in for gynae! So now got to wait another 3-4 weeks to see the right man. sigh Time is hardly on my side!

Oh. and you ladies are clearly the people to ask...so lube kills sperm? Has anyone tried preseed?

Kitesurfgirl · 31/08/2011 22:06

waves at everyone
Do you think women who've never suffered a loss even know half of the stress, worry etc of us guys? I used to think getting pregnant/staying pregnant was ridiculously easy, lets be honest, you see plenty of ppl doing it! Who knew!
I know one thing tho.....we will ALL be better, more attentive, more grateful mothers :)
Yeahh so i'm still at the stage of feeling jealous and wanting to shout WHY NOT ME everytime i see a pregnant women LOL :)

AngelGeorgie · 31/08/2011 22:01

I bet !!! Diffed I remember I had my first scan at 6 weeks this time and that wait from when I had my BFP at 3 weeks seemed like FOREVER!!! Then up to 12 weeks seemed a long time , even though I was being scanned every 2 weeks!!! Hope the weekend flys by for you. Xx
Mama thanks x. Yes, everyone else thinks this pg has flown by . However, it's not dragged as much as I envisaged.but I do feel like I ve been pg for 2 years now!!! Now , just need the next 6 weeks to fly by. Feeling worried now I ll go in to labour early so written a plan that must be adhered to and instructed my DH to be my advocate and demand they bleep my consultant and got to have IV antibiotics pre-op. Not willing to take ant chances. ( mind you, not that we did with Georgie).
Love to all xx

DiffedAgainDachs · 31/08/2011 20:21

Thanks angel :) I've got a scan on Monday (when I'll be 6+0, paying privately) then I'm seeing my obstetrician next Thursday, and I'm hoping for another sneaky peek!

Time is going so so so slowly right now - I want it to be the weekend!

green Hope all goes well at work tomorrow.

xxxxx

Mama5isalive · 31/08/2011 20:08

Hi all im fairly new to this thread.
Ciwi - good news that the scan went well, sometimes hospital staff can be so insensitive and really need totake time to find out your history first, better for the next time you go!
AngelGeorgie- its amazing how pregnancy seems to go fast for everyone but slow for you, hold onto every memories new ones with this baby, although youll never forget your angel watching over you both. xx
as for everyone else sorry have not read from the beginning - i dont know if a stats list would help id everyone?
im off for some zumba on wii now! check in later!

AngelGeorgie · 31/08/2011 19:05

Ciwi fab news about the scan. Try ringing the consultants sectarty I ve always found that the best way to go. Outline the plan your consultant originally gave you and always threaten then with a complaint or to speak to PALS ( patient advisory liasion service) hope this helps xx
I too have been having 4 weekly scans and consultant reviews.
Diffed thanks, what day is your scan? X
Too I finish for mat leave on 7 th October, got 3 weeks at work, 1 week AL then 1 week at work. Seems to be going really fast. Will be bittersweet when I finish last year I had a nice " fuddle" on the day I finished and a baby shower the day after. However, I wont be doing that again it's unfair on Gils but can t tempt fate.
Diffed really am so pleased for you. X
Hi all ; this thread seems by and large to be going very well at the moment. Long may it continue xxxx

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 31/08/2011 19:03

Good luck tomorrow, Green! I agree with Ciwi, it's probably just a back to work interview - just a formality so your boss can tick the box to say that he has done everything he has to do for you.

Ciwi, hope everything turns out ok with the consultant in 3 weeks time!

ciwi · 31/08/2011 18:42

too the consultant I am under is an expert in pre eclampsia so I kind of need to stay with him. I do trust him (when I see him) and I am hoping it was just unfortunate coincidence that he was not in clinic this time and last, apparently he was on holiday today but I have been reassured that he will be in clinic in 3 weeks when I go again. Hopefully I will get a proper plan then.
Good luck for work tommorrow green, hopefully your boss is just looking out for you.

greenzebra · 31/08/2011 18:06

ciwi good for you for standing up and shouting for your rights! Yay sister but boo that you even had too, I think I would complain about it to the reception desk, or ask to be seen by the consultant not the registrar.
Cant beleive you and vicky got bad service today NHS needs a slap on the back of the hand. Dont they relise that it makes us more stressed which cant be good for the baby!

First day back at work tomorrow, have to go in half an hour late and have a chat with the boss at his request so not sure what is install for me. Met a work colleague today first since I left for Mat leave. It was really good seeing him, he gave me a hug and said all the guys had missed me. And have all been asking when Im coming back. So makes it a little easier for tomorrow. Still a bit nervous especially as my body is all over the place with this is it af or not ma-lar-chi!

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 31/08/2011 17:37

Ciwi, they ought to be bending over backwards to give you good service! I'm being seen by a consultant every 4 weeks from now on and will have scans at least every 4 weeks. You deserve the same, particularly around the 24 week mark when you will be especially nervous. Sounds like the junior didn't know enough about either your situation or how women in your situation ought to be dealt with. Would you consider changing consultants if this one can't even be bothered to see you? Glad to hear you got put forward, though - that's 3 days more that you've done without noticing!

Green FX tht it's only implantation bleeding!

Angel, wow, nearly 31 weeks! Take it easy and try to rest lots - when do you start maternity leave?

Vicky, yay for the scan but boo for the MW!

Shakey, how far along are you now? I'm on aspirin too and so are a couple of other people (Angel and Cheese, I think).

Mel, hope the cramps are bean-related and not AF! Of course all men's eyes would light up on beholding you! Duh!

Hi to everyone I've missed!

DiffedAgainDachs · 31/08/2011 17:18

ciwi Yay for good scan! :) But boo for the crap service.

angel only 6 weeks to go! Wow! :)

vicky Good that you had a good scan, but the mw sounds crap. I agree with green about asking for a different one...

:)

ciwi · 31/08/2011 16:49

Hi again, scan was great, put me forward 3 days so I am now 11+5 yipee! Little bub wouldnt stay still though so got a rubbish pic, not really bothered in the slightest about that though, thought it was funny. On the other hand, I didn't get to see the consultant again, just a junior. I was so upset as she was rubbish and said they would see me for a scan at 20 weeks! so much for keeping a close eye on me and the consultant said I would get a doppler scan at 16-18 weeks but she said not. she also said the next scan after 20 weeks would be 28 weeks when I lost ciwi at 24 weeks! I am so frustrated and have been promised so much more than that from the consultant, she just didnt seem to be able to deviate from the 'normal plan' and didnt consider the fact that I got pre eclampsia so early. I went on at her and eventually she booked me an appointment in 3 weeks time when she knows the consultant will be there. Aaaarrgghh, sorry for the moan but I am just so frustrated at having to fight for everything this time!
green really sorry about your af, it is just cr*p. Really hope you get your bfp soon x
vicky I still find family gatherings hard and Ciaran would have been 1 this coming October. Yay for the scan though x
angel 30 odd weeks already! Like you said things are good right now, try not to look to far into the future and remember this is a different pregnancy, gils will be fine, she has a special angel looking out for her x

greenzebra · 31/08/2011 15:15

vicky good to hear from you and good news about the scan! I would complain about the midwife say you would like to be seen by another, its your right. Did they put you on antibiotics for the infection?
I know what you mean about milestones like that, I suppose they will always be there.
Still no show here just a little brown slodge! TMI. This sucks!

FX for you Dachs Im sure its all good.

AngelGeorgie · 31/08/2011 15:04

Good luck Ciwi x
Jane thanks work busy but ok. Just seen my MW all fine I m now 30 weeks, 5 days. Whoo!!!! 6 weeks to section date. I m actually finding it much harder now physically and emotionally as feel there is so much more to loose now. I don t think Ant & I would cope if we lost GILS now as we re still recovering from loosing Georgie at such a late stage. However, we plod on 1 day at a time as we have for the last 11 months since October. Trying to focus only on the positives.
Good luck for forth coming scans . Lovely to hear so much good news on here.
Hi all. Too tired to list everyone but sending my love xx

vickyd0 · 31/08/2011 13:56

shakeyjake · 31/08/2011 13:19

oops forgot split big congrats, freya is a beautiful name. Enjoy every minute

DiffedAgainDachs · 31/08/2011 11:48

Yay for the good scans and boo for the AF or impending AF. FX for anyway that needs it! :) It's really frustrating when it doesn't show up properly. We went away briefly to Venice and I ovulated about 4 days before we were due to go, so didn't expect AF until after we got back as I've always had a nice 28 day cycle, ovulating about day 14. AF shows up the day we went. :( Stupid body. And then it stuck around for 10 days, really heavily.

I find the early bit of pg v v hard, as I don't get any symptoms so I have no proof there is anything going on. I don't get morning sickness. (or haven't with my early mc or the twins). I'd love some symptoms. I'm on progesterone, so I'm not sure whether my body is just deciding that it's so used to having it now that it's not going to react, or whether it means there is something fundamentally wrong with me that means all my pregnancies are doomed, but I'm hoping I'm just lucky.

mel nephew sounds really adorable! :)

ciwi Good luck for the scan today.

shakeyjake · 31/08/2011 11:12
