Happy Birthday shakey :) And hope the appointment goes well :)

green Sorry people are still being crap. Good luck with the house stuff.

I have a dilemma today! No idea what to wear for my appointment later, but I want to look pretty as a I have a massive teeny tiny crush on my obstetrician :) Would wear a dress but the weather looks crap. Hmmm...

greenzebra · 08/09/2011 08:13

too I bet the dog was protecting you, animals are funny, my cat used to hang around me alot when I was pg. I bet dogs are even more protective as you are part of their pack, they work in a pack mentallity to protect you and your baby as you are their future and family. Sweet really but stressful to you as you have to think about the new situations the dog can get itself into to protect you.

Ive been blanked twice today, so I suppose Im going to have to get used to it. Its sucks though I dont have anything you are going to catch, you dont have to say anything to me except acknowledge my exsistence, say hi, how you doing? Im not going to splert out all my woes to you, why would I! People are F*@kers. But then theres the other people who have been so nice to me, got to be grateful to them they do out number the crap people!

Im so stressed which doesnt help, still havnt heard about the house, supposed to this week, I know its only thursday but we were supposed to be in in April! I need this house for my sanity, lol.

Hope everyone else has a better day today.

AngelGeorgie · 07/09/2011 21:19

Diffed don t think I ll be ready to she's here. Doesn t seem real won't believe it to we re holding her and she's screaming her lungs off!!!
Love to all xx

MelMal · 07/09/2011 18:48

Too hope you get that sorted really soon as it must be a nightmare. Dogs do have a weird sixth sense thing and are very protective.
We were at a funeral today up at the crematorium and it was the first time that we'd been there since Ruby's funeral. We took some sunflowers with us though and visited the baby garden and the headstone where Ruby's name is. I felt weird. I didn't feel as sad as I thought I should be feeling. It might be as I've been writing an article for our church newsletter so have been quite emotional all week. Also going to tell Ruby's story at our monthly sands meeting this month. Quite nervous about it but want to talk about her as it'll be her 6 month birthday. Anyway, I've managed to hold off doing any more tests so far!

razzdazz · 07/09/2011 18:46

ciwi · 07/09/2011 18:24

Hi everyone,
too my dog is behaving strangely lately, she really barks and jumps at other dogs when we are out, she has never been like that before. Dh thinks she is being protective of me because I am pg because she doesnt do it when she is out with dh on her own. Maybe it is that?
Need to go now, tea is ready will check in again later x

DiffedAgainDachs · 07/09/2011 18:02

poor too

I hope they fix the septic tank for you v soon.

And give the dog a big hug from me, poor thing. Sore paws are bound to make him a bit grumpy. I hope he feels better soon.

angel Good to hear you're getting your hospital bag sorted - not long now! Are you ready yet?

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 07/09/2011 17:44

Hello people.

Not a good day! The guy turned up to a) service the boiler and b) check the septic tank, and the bloody dog bit him! The poor guy swore and said the dog ought to be strung up by the neck (as I smacked dog and dragged him away to lock him in the bedroom), but luckily calmed down and isn't doing anything awful like insisting we get him put down. Phew! I had visions of him calling the police and insisting the dog be put down - although it was really only a nip and didn't bleed or anything. I have no idea what is wrong with the dog. He's never done that before. He must have taken an instant dislike to this guy and I, foolishly, thought it was all bark and no bite, as it were. It was entirely my fault. I was actually holding his collar as he did it!

The septic tank outflow is blocked and someone will have to come out with specialised equipment to clear it (what a lovely job to have!). Don't know yet when that will be. Hopefully soon!

And the dog has just been to the vet as has been limping since Saturday and he has an infection in his paw and needs antibiotics and painkillers. Perhaps that's why he bit the plumber.

Anyway, long day!

AngelGeorgie · 07/09/2011 15:38

shakey good luck with the appointment tomorrow :) And happy birthday for tomorrow! :) Enjoy lunch.

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 07/09/2011 12:59

Oh no Cheese, not more calamities! Poor you - you're just trying to take things easy and these horrible things keep happening! I hope you're feeling better now.

Oh my God, the septic tank is leaking! I am freaking out and am too scared to use any water, even though I know perfectly well that the cold tap, for example, runs directly off the mains water and if I boil the water it will be fine anyway. I had the washing machine running and I let out the bathwater and then opened the front door and there was water welling up from under the slab that covers the septic tank! And it stank. I have called the factor and they're sending someone round at 1. They can't come fast enough for me. The water has now sunk away again and it is so windy that there isn't any smell outside any more, but the small bathroom stinks. Sad I am glad of one thing only, and that is that this is a rented house and the cost of fixing it will be the landlord's responsibility. Eww, I hope the guy turns up soon and can actually arrange to have the septic tank emptied, or something. We may have to move out until they can get it done. I feel sick.

shakeyjake · 07/09/2011 12:56

cheese hope you are taking things easy and hope you all feel better soon.

dachs yay for the non ectopic and hope tom goes well. i am also very cold today and thinking maybe put the heating on. i hate rain and miserable days brrrrrrr.

i have my consultant appt tom so hopefully will find out when my next scan will be and also hope to hear the babs heartbeat. also my birthday tommorow and going for lunch with my mum.

hi to everyone else and hope every ones day goes well.

DiffedAgainDachs · 07/09/2011 12:26

cheese that's awful. I hope you feel better soon xxxxxxxxxxxx

green Sorry about your work mate. Some people just don't know how to react and what to say, but it's no excuse. :(

I don't have any other scans officially booked yet, but my obstetrician has a scan machine in his office and I'm seeing him on Thursday, so he'll probably scan me again.

Is anyone else completely freezing cold? I just can't get warm and I'm not sure whether I'm just getting a cold or something, or whether i need to turn the heating back on!

sorry for crap catch up - am completely knackered and think i need a nap!

greenzebra · 07/09/2011 12:03

cheese thats awful, I hope you feel better. I couldnt even imagine what was going through your mind yesterday must have been awful. Take it easy, and get on the doctors to see what you can have to make you feel better.

janedoe25 · 07/09/2011 10:09

cheese I too read about it on FB, Im so glad you are all ok! It must have been such a worry about the baby, I am so relieved for you all. Take it easy and look after yourself. x

Bluetinkerbell · 07/09/2011 09:52

cheese I read on FB, glad you are all ok, was wondering whether they had scanned you again! glad they did and all is ok!

when I was pregnant of DD1 and still living abroad, I sprained my ankle quite badly and fell on my stomach, the hospital didn't even bother to scan me!

take it easy today and tomorrow, it will hurt even more tomorrow unfortunately!

green so sorry your friend has been unkind to you!

dachs are you having another scan to confirm the good news?

hi everyone else!

CheeseandGherkins · 07/09/2011 09:46

You won't believe this but we had a crash yesterday on the way to school, first day back...Some man pulled out literally in front of me and I went straight into him, I had no chance of stopping but did slam the brakes on.

Called an ambulance and the took dd1, dh and I in to the hospital, luckily ds1 and ds2 were ok and my mum lives right near where we crashed so she had them while we went in. We were there for hours, dh needed an x-ray but he was fine, just badly sprained his shoulder and in pain. Dd1 had pain and bruising from the seat belt around her stomach but she's ok too and I had some pain but all ok. They scanned me yesterday too as an emergency and the baby is fine thankfully.

I feel like I've been in a fight now though. Aching and my head and neck are killing me. Cancelling scan today as the car is wrecked and we're in no state to drive either. Right, will get the laptop out after and settle on the sofa but sitting here hurts too much so I'm off. Will catch up later, hopefully nothing else happens :(

janedoe25 · 07/09/2011 09:02

Oh green, some people are just crap! One things for sure you find out who your true friends are. I'm sure your boss will understand if things get too much for you today, I hope you are ok x

greenzebra · 07/09/2011 08:57

Ive just been effectivly blanked by a good friend at work, we used tot alk alot and Ive helped him out with his relationship problems and now all he says is hi and then walks off! Im gutted now. Not sure I can take today. Im going to try till lunch then if I cant Im going home.

greenzebra · 07/09/2011 08:20

dachs Im glad that it was good news, must be a load off your minds, and your not silly of course you are going to worry.

spilt good to hear from you.

too that must be hard trying to pick a headstone. I work in graveyards to do with my job and theres a special section for childs graves. Theres one grave there that I keep thinking about, its for a little girl it was ordered from China, its got Sully on it from montsers inc and bo on the back, it also has a packet of Quavers crisps inscribed on it, as that was her favourite snack. She must have died quite young. Its the best kept grave in the graveyard. I dont think I will ever be able to look at that grave again.

Im struggling a little bit at the moment, this was the time last year that I found out I was pg with Ophelia, this was when her story began. I suppose this year is going to be full of mile stones like this. I hate work, but got to keep at it for a while at least. The only thing I want to be in pg again.

janedoe25 · 07/09/2011 07:44

dachs such a relief for you, I have been thinking about you.
