OP posts:
razzdazz · 09/09/2011 15:05

too glad that your tank is fixed but blocked by your tampons is really quite funny Wink at least you won't have that problem for a while.

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 09/09/2011 14:57

Green, Sad I'm sorry that your work is so bad. I hope you find something else quickly - praying that a great countryside ranger post comes up near you soon!

Yay for the new flat! Hope it cheers you up. I bet you will feel so much better once you're in your own place again.

The tank is fixed, hurray! The men told me not to put tampons down the loo anymore Blush. How unlucky was that, though - I have had one period in the last year and the septic tank blocked up! Blush some more.

razzdazz · 09/09/2011 14:50

green fantastic news about your flat, that is something fab to look forward to. It will be so lovely for you and dh to have your own base again, it may well settle you quite a bit more than you imagine. Look upon it as being the first step towards the way you want life to be going Smile

greenzebra · 09/09/2011 13:11

razz actually this job is in a new direction for me and really I have never liked it, Im trained to be a countryside ranger, but couldnt find any work. Took this job as a gardener as it was outside which I love! And it was really a stop gap untill I could find something else. Now that we are buying a place we are tied to the area so it makes it even more difficult to find a ranger job or something like it. Im really passionate about wildlife and being enviro friendly and I just havnt been able to do that at this job. They do employ rangers too but due to the council being given less money and the budget cuts they are not taking on any more staff. I have tried to move up the job scale at the council but Im hindered by my gender (well thats what I think) And in the last few months they did have some higher positions going but I wasnt in the right frame of mind for an interview.
So at the moment Im supposed to be taking it easy in this office based roll they have made up for me, but I have realised over this week that really Im doing the job my boss should be but hes too lazy to do it. And to be honest I cant be bothered with it all. So its just a means to an end at the moment, I just want the money. I hate my bosses they are all w@*#ers!

Good news though I have heard that the flat we are buying is now in the hands of the housing group so we should be in in the next couple of weeks! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

razzdazz · 09/09/2011 10:55

Oh green, I am sorry that you feel that is the best option Sad. Are you going to take a whole new direction as to what you do as I remember that you were concerned with the chemicals (before the stupid people)??
Take care.

greenzebra · 09/09/2011 10:41

mel and blue fx crossed it was just to early.

Ive taken the day off work, just didnt want to go in. Im looking for other work so going to spend most of the day looking at job posts on the net.

razzdazz · 09/09/2011 10:08

Hello all Smile
mel and blue, you have really made me giggle with your sneaky poas escapades Grin. Sorry you both had BFN, will keep fx that it is just too early still.
too glad you are having the tank sorted soon, work is going well at the moment.
angel and ciwi I am also a nurse Smile and funnily enough I was also a specialist in family planning so similar to you angel. My new job is as a school nurse at a boarding school which so far is going well.
shakey happy belated birthday, hope you had a good day
cheese I really hope your body stops aching soon, horay for hearing the heartbeat Grin
dachs that is fab news that you are going to be scanned so often, BIG star sticker for your consultant
green hoping that work becomes a little easier for you

AngelGeorgie · 08/09/2011 21:10

Too you mucky pup!! I ve been spilling stuff down my front for about 5 months now!!! Sick of it!!! X
Ciwi yes I am, I m a specialist sister at a sexual health clinic. What area do you work in? X
dacha fab news about weekly scans. I ve had 2 weekly scans up to 16 weeks, then
4 weekly scans up to the end. Don t know if I m going to make it to 7 th October but 1 day at a time. From next Monday I ve got 9 days to work then a week off so as I say 1 day at a time.
Sleep well all xxx

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 08/09/2011 20:57

Have just poured water down my front in an attempt to take my folic acid and aspirin. Blush Apparently I can't even drink properly at the moment!

Cheese, hope your hip gets better soon. I haven't exactly been feeling movements, but I do feel little flutters, but I am fairly sure that they are all higher up than my womb even is at the moment! At 10 weeks the baby would still be in the pelvis, right? So it must just be gas or imagination. I must remember to ask at the booking scan if I have an anterior placenta again (really hope I don't!). I must have been about 19 or 20 weeks before feeling Thea move.

I am feeling muscular twinges in my tummy fairly often - in all different locations around my tummy, but they are definitely muscular and not baby-related. I wonder if it just means that my tummy muscles are f*cked at present? I did manage the first 12 days of 30 Day Shred in June [proud emoticon], but perhaps that wasn't enough to restore my tummy. Maybe I should actually use that pregnacy pilates DVD I bought nearly a year ago and haven't opened.

Ciwi, is the acupuncture for relaxation? Does it help?

Angel, hope you get lots of rest - you sound like you've had a hard day! Not long to go now...

Dachs, you certainly sound like you wowed him! Yay for weekly scans!

ciwi · 08/09/2011 20:20

Oh my, lots of posts to catch up on, I have just got back from acupuncture so a bit tired!
green I had lots of problems with people ignoring me when I went back to work so I don't really have anything to do with most of them now, they are not my friends and I don't have the energy to bother with them. I know thats not the most helpful thing to hear but just wanted to let you know that you are not alone x
shakey I got told I would have a 20 and 28 week scan too, I lost Ciaran at 24 weeks so that is just not good enough, I have been promised that I will see the actual consultant in a couple of weeks and I am sure he will say different.
too glad your dog is feeling a bit better x
cheese no movements for me yet but I didnt feel Ciaran till 19 weeks so not expecting to feel any for a while yet.
dachs yay for weekly scans, maybe I need to put more of an effort in to getting ready for appointments - lol.
angel are you a nurse? I am too x
blue and mel sorry about the bfn's but fx they turn into bfp's x

DiffedAgainDachs · 08/09/2011 20:03

angel I couldn't find anything nice to wear so I'm not sure I wowed him, but he is going to scan me every week until further notice, so I did something right! Grin Sorry you are finding work hard - are you sure you're going to be able to stick it out until the planned date?

cheese Sorry you're feeling so sore :( Hope the appointment tomorrow goes well and you don't feel too much like a pincushion afterwards

I hope it was just too early and that you both get a BFP

too Yay for the septic tank being fixed - I hope it's not too traumatic or smelly! I'm glad the dog seems to be getting better :)

AngelGeorgie · 08/09/2011 18:10

Cheese glad you ve heard heartbeat. Yes , my bag is prettyuch packed. As I said I won't pack GILS to lastinute.
blue and Mel sorry about BFN s maybe it's too early???
Shakey glad you ve got your scans sorted.
Dachs hope you wowed your consultant!!!
It's so hot here been boiling at work and so busy again totally full clinics and a walk in clinic at lunch time that ends up with ad many patients as the other clinics Sad. Hope fully I can make it at work for next 2 weeks it's getting very hard. I m up at night at least 3 times and my cankles are awful!!!!
Off to rest now, hope all are ok? Xxx

CheeseandGherkins · 08/09/2011 18:07

Mel and Blue I'm the same as Too in that I didn't get a positive test for ages after my last period so it's definitely not over yet! Fingers crossed for you both still

Too I have had it before but this pain has been since the crash and quite different to the spd I've had previously. I can feel and hear a clicking on one side of my hip which feel strange. The dr did warn me that they don't usually try this early but that he'd give it a go but that if he couldn't find it not to worry; that was when I confessed to having tried myself a few weeks ago and finding it! It only took him about 30 seconds and was quite reassuring. Haven't had the doppler out lately at home and actually didn't cross my mind to!

Glad someone is coming to fix your tank! Hope it doesn't take too long. Aww poor dog, hope he's feeling better soon.

Not looking forward to tomorrow but at least it's a morning appointment so I don't have all day to worry. Have to hang about afterwards as dh is being seen just after lunch too for blood tests after the weekend.

So knackered all the time now, I can't seem to keep up with life at the moment. Is anyone else feeling movements? I am quite sure that I am, I felt movements early with my others but this is more definite, not fluttery but stronger. Not kicks like when they're bigger but definitely baby movements! It's a really nice feeling actually :)

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 08/09/2011 18:00

Grin at your testing pact, Mel and Blue! It's not over until the fat lady sings...and I didn't get a BFP until 6 weeks after my last period. Go forth and multiply, as it were.

Cheese, my lovie, sorry to hear that you're still in pain. Sad Hope it gets better soon. Have you had SPD before? I ask because I had it a bit at the end of my pregnancy (not the extent of having crutches, just the constant nagging pain) and I can already hear my pelvis crunching as I move around, so I am somewhat apprehensive about the future. Thank goodness you heard the baby's heartbeat! At 12+1 that's really good, isn't it? Good luck tomorrow with the diabetes nurse and the finger pricks!

Yay, someone is coming to fix the septic tank tomorrow morning! Hoorah. Dog was well enough to beg me to take him for a walk this afternoon (although it was only a little 15 min walk and he was limping again by the end of it), so I think he's feeling better.

Bluetinkerbell · 08/09/2011 17:58

I couldn't resist either Wink think I will be even happy when AF shows up...
rather that than this negative testing all the time

OP posts:
MelMal · 08/09/2011 17:42

That was some testing pact we had Blue Grin

Bluetinkerbell · 08/09/2011 17:30

hehe Mel I did the same! same here...negative... same feeling!

OP posts:
MelMal · 08/09/2011 16:55

Waste of a test Hmm. I wonder if I'll ever manage to be patient? I hate not knowing what's going on with my body Angry.

MelMal · 08/09/2011 16:48

I'm going to poas

CheeseandGherkins · 08/09/2011 12:47

Morning all, was seen by the gp today as I've been hurting quite a lot and still am. He said it's the ligaments that have been stretched by the crash and also my hips/pelvis, I'm clicking when I walk! I'm still feeling stiff but thankfully all ok. He checked for the baby's heartbeat too and heard it so that's great, I'm 12+1 today. Hospital tomorrow for diabetes nurse appt so we'll see how that goes, not looking forward to the finger pricks.

blue thanks :)

jane I was really worred, still am as I'm in pain quite a bit but at least I've had a quick scan and heart the baby's hb today at the gp and all sounded ok.

green thank you. Why on earth were you ignored? How inconsiderate and rude, bloody people.

dachs really pleased to hear that you don't have an ectopic, you must be so relieved! Hope all is going well for you

shakey heating has been on for a while here! I feel the cold so much, it's horrible. It goes on for an hour in the morning before we get up and in the evening and that's been ok so far but DH hates it hehe. Happy birthday! Hope you're having a good one :) I'm glad you have the scans that you were promised, just a shame you had to get so upset in order to get them.

Too Hope the tank gets sorted, what a nightmare! I'd bet that's why your dog bit the plumber, if he was in pain then they can do that and act all out of sorts. We also have a dog and it's horrible when they're in pain as there's not a huge amount you can do for them :( Give him lots of big bones to distract him :)

Angel I'm hoping things improve, nothing but bad luck lately it seems. Are you almost ready with your hospital bag now?

split how are things for you?

ciwi Odd that your dog is doing that, ours has been similar while out on walks but I hadn't related it to pregnancy, maybe that's why.

razz hope the new job is going well.

Mel I love sunflowers, we've taken them to Scarlett before too. Hope the funeral that you went to went as well as could be.

DiffedAgainDachs · 08/09/2011 11:46

too Your dog sounds cute - one of my dogs does exactly the same when I tell him off. The other one just looks at me when I tell her off, with a heartbreaking little look which clearly says 'you're cross with me, that means you don't love me any more. why don't you love me? my little doggy heart will break if you stop loving me. sob' and it's really really hard to stay cross with her! Luckily she's not naughty very often so I don't need to tell her off very much :) (I'm much less of a soft touch with the dogs than DH is though - he can never ever stay cross with them for more than about half a second even if they've been really naughty!)

shakey I don't actually have the figure to wear a decent dress but I have lost a lot of weight since I had the twins so I can probably just about get away with it. Sorry you didn't get to see the consultant and had to fight for your extra scans, but yay for getting them to give you one at 16 weeks :)

I still haven't figures out what to wear today - I was going to wear a dress and tights like you suggested too but I haven't bought any new tights since I lost the weight and the pair I put on were rather wrinkly around the ankles as they were too big for me. Might have to wear some nice jeans and a top. I have to leave in about half an hour, so I'd better figure it out soon!

Have a good day everyone Grin

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 08/09/2011 11:36

Crossed posts, Shakey! Happy Birthday! Glad to hear you're getting your 16 week scan as promised, but grr that you had to fight for it. Hurray for hearing the heartbeat! How lovely.

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 08/09/2011 11:34

Grin Dachs, your dilemma made me laugh out loud! Wear a dress and tights and a cardigan - I live in those at the moment because my trousers and jeans are starting to dig in at the waist and my maternity jeans are still too big. I feel that dresses are more flattering just at present. I actually can't wait until my bump starts to show and I can wear maternity dresses again.

Green, grr, what annoying people! Thinking of themselves first, not of you. At least you have nice people around you to balance them out. I hope your house gets sorted out soon. It must be so frustrating to be waiting this long. I would expect 'this week' to mean by Wednesday at least and I would be phoning them (or making DH do it) to ask what was going on! Phone them, phone them!

Mel, how brave you are! Ruby will be so proud of you. Have you written out what you want to say, or are you just going to extemporise at the time?

Razz, hope the new job is going well and that you aren't sick today!

Maybe the dog is being more protective because of the pregnancy. I do think he's always more protective of me when DH isn't here and someone comes to the door. DH says I'm not projecting enough Pack Leader/Alpha Female vibe and he thinks he's in charge, but I'm not convinced, because he does obey me and if he's bad he looks very guilty when I shout at him. He sinks to the floor, rolls over on his back and puts his paws in the air...which is very very cute.

shakeyjake · 08/09/2011 11:32

thanks for the birthday messages.

dachs definatley waer the dress, wish i had the figure for it. Envy

My appt went ok, didn't actually see the consultant but a registrar and a med student. They tried to tell me i didnt need any extra scansand that i could do with just the 20 week one and growth at 28. Queue me with tears as all expecting to stick with consultants plan for scans at 16 and 24. But they now aggree i can have the 16 week one so should be in the next 2 weeks. Heard the heartbeat straight away and now have less blood than i went in with. Lol i think midwives must be vampires in disguise.

Hope everyones day goes well :-)

greenzebra · 08/09/2011 09:45

happy birthday shakey

dachs that is a dilemma, perhaps wear a dress anyway if the weather is crap you will look bright and cheerful and lovely in a dress.
