Woo hop!! Yeh too u missed me Sad only joking!!! I m fine tired but fine and moaning how it's too hot to work!!! Xx

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 15/09/2011 11:28

Hello! I thought I had posted last night, but on second thoughts I seem to have started a message and then got up and walked away from the laptop and never gone back. [ditz emoticon]

Dachs, sorry to hear of your scare, so pleased to hear all is well!

Cheese, yay for the scan and getting moved forward! Is 17 March your due date or the date you'll be delivered? My due date must be around 5 April but I'll be delivered around 22 March, which doesn't sound so far away! Is your arm better now - ouch!

Hi Spilt, good to hear from you! Glad to hear your nipples are recovering Hope the winding sorts itself out soon. As Freya grows do you think she'll be better able to deal with the let-down and stop gasping?

Green, that's such a sweet story! What a shame for your PIL to have lost two babies. I got a big lump in my throat reading it.

Is anyone else super-emotional? I cried when DH didn't get the job, and then I cried yesterday because DH criticised my driving on the way home. In fact, I pouted, yelled at him and then cried and said I didn't want to drive any more! We were only about a mile from home so I did carry on and then came within about an inch of bashing the car off the wall turning into the drive. Blush

Jane and Mel, FX for this month!

Blue, how frustrating! I hope you get an answer soon.

Ciwi, no stressing, it's not allowed! That sounds like a good way of dealing with it. I am sort of ignoring the pregnancy because I can't feel anything (I mean, I am taking folic acid and aspirin and eating the right things anmd not drinking) but I am trying not to think too much yet because it still feels so unreal. Hopefully when I can feel kicks it will be easier in some ways.

Mel, enjoy your lunch - sounds great!

Hi Mama!

Phew! Have I missed anyone? Apologies if I have!

MelMal · 15/09/2011 10:55

Ciwi great outlook on it. Try and always remember that throughout.
I need to stop posting from my iPod as I never remember how everyone is and get mixed up way too easily! Apologies for the lack of individual replies due to my forgetfulness!
Blue fx'd you get one or the other soon. I was crampy a couple of days before af arrived and then no cramps which I thought was unusual. I don't know if it's because we pay so much attention to our bodies when we're doing this.
Jane let's see what this month brings with it. Hopefully a BFP but lots of fun prior to that!!!
I'm off out with my SIL and nephew for lunch and shopping. My idea of heaven!
Hi everyone else x

ciwi · 15/09/2011 09:26

Morning everyone,
blue hope the cramps are a good sign, they have been a sign of pg for me in the past. Still day 43 must be very frustrating, fx for you x
green how sad that your fil has 3 babies to run for, but well done him! I have a friend who had an allergic reaction due to exercise, she also ate a banana before exercising and they think it was the combination of the banana and the exercise that caused it even though she is normally not allergic to either! Maybe he ate something last time that he can avoid while exercising in the future?
Good luck for this month jane we took an month off and it did us a lot of good, I was actually a lot more relaxed once we started to ttc again and it was that month I got my bfp!
diffed how stressful but glad all is ok x

Not much to report here, was stressing a bit yesterday, just so scared of something going wrong again but I gave myself a good talking to and decided that as much as possible I am going to think of this baby in the here and now. I am forgetting there is a little bub happy and healthy and with me right now because I am too busy stressing about the future!

Bluetinkerbell · 15/09/2011 08:07

Have a really busy day ahead today! Will have to catch up with all of you tomorrow possibly!
Just to let you all know, I did test again this morning... BFN again :( CD43 still no sign of AF. Did have cramps yesterday afternoon, like it was on its way, but nothing yet. Normally when I have my period, I only have cramps when bleeding not in advance!

Have a nice day everyone!

janedoe25 · 15/09/2011 07:22

green that is so sad, I couldn't comprehend losing another baby, it would finish me off. Your FIL is such an inspiration carrying on with his running, I hope manages it and stays well.

Hi mama hope you are ok.

AF is due tomorrw for me, I can't wait till it comes so I can start ttc again! Although it has been so nice not obsessing about pg symptoms and when to test during the 2ww!
I hope everyone is well x

Mama5isalive · 14/09/2011 21:34

Hi all - sorry reading via phone and its acting up!
Happy for all the positive scans - yeh!

greenzebra · 14/09/2011 20:48

hey spilt good to hear from you. Have you tried Infacol for her wind? If shes got a bit of colic it will help her bring up her wind and hopefully stop crying. My nephew has terrible colic, they have just tried him on this as he cried himself hoarse last week.

thanks for all the messages for FIL he is doing fine now.
He was out running when it happened it looks like it might be exercised related, the doc said this but FIL is stubborn and said Im running for a reason Im running for Sands this November and then I shall hang up my trainers. Bless him. His first baby died at 36 weeks as well, it was a girl too exactly the same as my Ophelia. Very strange her name was Jennifer, she would have been 32 this year. So strange that me and MIL both had girls first who both died at 36 weeks. FIL took it really hard when he heard about Ophelia, thought it was a family curse. But also he never met Jennifer, he left his wife at the hospital couldnt face the labour she had to do it by herself. He has never forgiven himself. They also lost a little girl at 17 weeks her name was Heidi, so hes running for his girls, Jennifer, Heidi and Ophelia.

AngelGeorgie · 14/09/2011 19:53

Dachs glad all is well. These pregnancies are very long and stressful aren t they? X
I am very tired through disrupted sleep and work but it's all good practice I guess. !!!

spilttheteaagain · 14/09/2011 19:25

We're doing ok thanks cheese. It is tremendously hard work looking after a newborn, but she is so lovely. Just started smiling Smile

I think I'm a bit rubbish at winding though, and it's horrible hearing her scream and struggling to get the wind back out. I have a fairly forceful letdown so it chokes her a bit I think, she gasps, and we get trapped wind and an unhappy baby. Nipples are on the mend though, woohoo!

DiffedAgainDachs · 14/09/2011 19:20

green Hope FIL is doing ok now.

mel sorry AF has turned up - blue - sorry you're having a crap cycle. FX for you both.

yay cheese :)

too sorry your DH didn't get his promotion. It does sound as though they were crap and should have let him know if there was no point him applying before it got to that stage.

angel How are you doing? You must be knackered by now!

have been away at a work conference where i was freaking out 'cos i started bleeding. Rang doc in a panic earlier so he took me in for a quick scan. Bean still there are looking healthy. i just wish it would stop freaking me out!

AngelGeorgie · 14/09/2011 18:02

Cheese glad scan wad good Wink
X

CheeseandGherkins · 14/09/2011 17:28

Right, dinner over and had my insulin, took me less time to build up the courage this time! They put me ahead a few days so I'm 13+4 now and due on 17th March :o

jane I'm really obsessive about finding things out and use google far too much looking for every little bit of information I can find, isn't good.

ciwi It's a horrible feeling. That must have been hard for you thinking that about your blood pressure medication but you did need it and it definitley wasn't your fault at all. I totally agree about driving yourself mad though, I need to take a step back and think less, I wish I could just turn my mind off at times.

green wow sorry about your fil, how frightening! Hope everything is ok now. How are you and dh?

Angel I'm vowing to try! 11 day, you must have been exhausted :( How exciting! Not long left to go now at all.

razz Sorry you're not feeling so good, hope the sickness passes soon. How many weeks are you now? Hope the get the keytones sorted too.

blue I'm trying to remember how long my cycle was when I conceived, I think it was quite long though, at least 38 days.

Too Sorry dh didn't get the promotion :( That sounds really shitty of the manager, why get his hopes up like that and just turn him down when they could have told him in the first place? Seems wrong.

split thanks :) How you getting on now?

spilttheteaagain · 14/09/2011 16:52

Congratulations on your scan cheese Smile

Hello everyone else, just been reading all your news.
razz you poor thing, you must be feeling awful. Are you on anti sickness meds? I struggled a lot with the nausea and vomiting (nothing like as bad as yours) and remember how miserable it was. So many times I sat crying down the toilet...

too sorry to hear about your DH and the job. I would be livid too, that sounds really badly handled and so disappointing for him.

green I hope your FIL is much better today, and that you've had some sleep.

Sorry to miss loads of people out, but sending love to all xx

CheeseandGherkins · 14/09/2011 16:01

Will catch up later, just posting to say that scan went well, all was fine which is good. Was so nervous before it that I felt sick. Went for the blood test after and he butchered my arm. He was really rough :( Totally unnecessary I thought, my arm is aching now and already bruised. Will post later, sorting dinner for the dcs!

AngelGeorgie · 14/09/2011 15:48

Jane feel ok. Not concentrating on stuff just day by day. X
Razz hope you feel better when you get some fluids in you . X
Too sorry about DH. Working is fine, apart from cankles!!! I like my job and vast majority of my team. Just finding it hard going getting up and going 5 days a week!!! However, 1 week left then a week of AL.. Odd as feel like I ve only just returned to some degree of normality at work and now ready to go off again.
Hi all hope everyone is well? blue that's some cycle you ce got going on??? !! X

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 14/09/2011 14:01

Blue, wow, that's frustrating! How many days since you tested?

Razz, sorry to hear about the sickness and ketones and such. I hope you start to feel better soon. How many weeks are you now?

Angel, you are such a star to be managing 11 hour shifts! I find an 8 hour working day knackering. Yay for your scan getting shifted so it isn't on Georgie's birthday!

Green, scary stuff with your FIL! Hope he's better now. At least you got a day off out of it!

Ciwi, let us know how you get on at the Sands group. My local one is running something similar and I was wondering about going along. I was considering waiting until I was showing in case they think I'm a fraud, though! My next scan's not until 28th - it's the booking scan.

Cheese, boo about having to inject yourself, but yay that it doesn't really hurt. Hope you get on ok with the consultant and the GD will be manageable once you get the hang of things.

Not very happy with work - DH went for a promotion and was turned down. Sad This is the trouble with us both working for the same organisation - it's too personal! I want to smack the manager involved because he should just have nipped DH's application in the bud a month ago, said sorry, but you don't have an engineering degree and that's all there is to it, not let him apply, ask for a long essay about what he would do with the post and then hold interviews. We really thought DH had a good chance because he hadn't been told sorry, engineers only when he noted interest. Angry DH is miserable and I cried all the way home yesterday Blush.

Bluetinkerbell · 14/09/2011 13:22

CD42... still no sign of AF... and still being patient!

mel I am glad that you now no where abouts in your cycle you are, fx for this month. Hope work give you what you need.

I had another scan yesterday and am smack on my dates. I am really so very sick, have lost 6lb so far (every cloud Wink). Have large keytones in my urine Sad and if it doesnt improve i will have to spend a couple of days on the EPU being rehydrated via IV's.

Big hello to everyone that I havent mentioned, hope you are all doing well.

greenzebra · 14/09/2011 09:27

jane yeah FIL is better.
I am currently SWI ov today I think, will be testing later. Im a bit more chilled this month, last month I was stressed to get pg as it was straight after the CP. FX

janedoe25 · 14/09/2011 07:46

green that must have been so frightening, I hope fil is on the mend. Have you tested again or did I miss it .

angel Wow systems a go for you. How do you feel?

AngelGeorgie · 13/09/2011 22:25

Oh meant Mel hope you rd hours get sorted? X

AngelGeorgie · 13/09/2011 22:23

Cheese STEP away from " dr" google!! A lot of the info online is not medically factual and will scare you to death!!! I m always telling my patients that. Good luck at your scan. X
green hope FIL is improving. X
Mel hope u re ok?
Ciwi enjoy your evening. Nightmare about clothes!!! Had to borrow a friend's tunic at work as my is tight now and it ll take 2-3 weeks to get some new ones and i ve only got 2.5 weeks left to work!! Hope u re hours get sorted.
Hi everyone. Hope alls well??
Long day at work today ( 11 hours) knackered!! However, saw my consultant this morning: section date in the diary for 18 th October, consent form completed, dates sorted for last scan( now 13 th instead of Georgie's birthday on the 10th), dates for 2x steroid injections pre-op sorted. So good to go!!! Just sit tight GILS!!! Xxxxx

greenzebra · 13/09/2011 18:19

Hey girlies.

cheese Im glad you are all kitted out to get through the GD, what a frightening time for you.

mel sorry af is here but fx crossed this is your cycle.

I spent last night in A & E as my FIL had a massive allergic reaction to something, he stopped breathing and his blood pressure went through the floor. Didnt get home till about 3am and couldnt sleep for a while, so ended up having the day of work with DH. FIL is ok now just resting it off, scary stuff. Had my fair share of Hospitals this year, hopefully no more trips this year, well only for happy events.

I spent much of pg in joggin bottoms much to DH's disgust he hates them but they are comfy, dont fall down or dig into the bump, so thats all that matters to me. Cant get me out of them now mind. But thats because cant really get into one than one pair of my pre pg jeans!

ciwi · 13/09/2011 17:09

cheese I do understand how you feel, after we lost Ciaran I read that my blood pressure medications might have reduced the blood flow to him. It hit me like a train and I was so upset thinking that if they had left my blood pressure high he might have been ok. It actually sends you into a bit of a panic doesnt it? Anyway I asked the consultant and he said if they didnt treat me I would not be there asking the question, so that helped a bit though I was still thinking what if the dose was lower etc. I drove myself mad until I just vowed to drop it and just live with the fact that Ciaran was with us in his own special way and that's just how it is, how it was meant to be, for whatever reason. Well done you on the insulin, it will become second nature very soon x
Off to meet my lovely sands friend for tea soon, also my local sands are running a bumps and babies group from friday, think I might go along and check it out. Hope everyone is ok today x
too when is your next scan?
