spilttheteaagain · 18/10/2011 16:26

GrinGrinGrin!!! Too that is FANTASTIC news Grin Sending you Thanks as you can't have Wine!

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 18/10/2011 16:22

Ohmigod, ohmigod, it's okay! Bean is fine and hasn't got Down's, Edward's or Patau's! The hospital called me about half an hour ago - they said results often come back this quickly but sometimes they have to be rechecked and so they don't want to say it will be this quick in case it isn't. I wasn't even nervous picking up the phone because I didn't expect it to be them. I am so happy! Grin Grin Grin I would be doing cartwheels if I wasn't still supposed to be taking it easy!

spilttheteaagain · 18/10/2011 15:39

Big day today. Angel I am thinking of you and so looking forward to hearing all about it. Come on GILS, you are such a special little girl Smile. Freya is doing really well thank you for asking. She's 8 weeks now and a heavy 10lb11oz She has the most beautiful big gummy grin, especially at nappy change time (likes a clean bum, there's my girl) and a powerful set of lungs that she exercised very thoroughly this morning on the 2 mile walk to the health visitor clinic. Very stressful and made me walk superfast so I could get there and sit down and feed her!

ciwi great news that baby is happy

too lovely to hear Bean is bouncing around in there, can you feel it yet?

I was away this weekend so missed blue's babyloss thread but have since read it and wept. So much waste of so many precious little lives. Too thank you so much for mentioning Bobbie, I was really really touched by that. I think when a baby is lost they can become a taboo and people never mention them (incase they "upset you"... lets not even go there), and so when someone is brave enough to say their name, the name that you long to hear every day, it's overwhelmingly special. Strange that it's strangers on the internet who remember my daughter and so many of my family and friends say nothing, (parents and sister excepted).

waaaah panic! our current estate agent just phoned that we have a viewing for our house tomorrow!

We haven't signed our new rental contract yet, as we are still waiting for reference checks to be made...
I just have a worst case scenario vision of being without a house beginning of December...
Tomorrow morning will exist of starting to pack things in boxes already...

MelMal · 18/10/2011 14:35

That sounds promising Too. Hope it keeps jumping about and that you're taking it easy!
I'm feeling bad as I'm early shift today and never got a chance to wish Angel good luck. I'm sure that she'll be cuddling into gils as I post this.
Hi to everyone else x

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 18/10/2011 13:21

MW has just been - heartbeat all present and correct! She kept losing it because Bean was jumping, but she always found it again in a different place, so nothing to worry about. I am reassured by the fact that Bean was wriggling. It must be a good sign!

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 18/10/2011 12:21

Razz, sorry, I forgot you were still waiting for results! How are you holding up? I have spent the last hour or so panicking. Perhaps staying off work wasn't the smartest plan, but DH will be home for the afternoon to hold my hand. Anyway, I probably wouldn't have coped with work either.

Angel, thinking of you and GILS - I wonder if she's here yet or not?

greenzebra · 18/10/2011 09:38

That is a wonderful thought razz.

razzdazz · 18/10/2011 09:23

too really pleased that amnio went well and was not too uncomfortable, you are still in my thoughts as you travel what always seems the slow road to results.......I will be having mine next tuesday. How are you feeling today?
ciwi fantastic news about your doppler and how great that your consultant has such positive views, so very pleased.
mel I had a scan at 6 weeks this time and they could see heart beat so all fingers crossed that you can too.
Cant wait to hear about angels GILS news, I would imagine that she is holding her in her arms now Smile

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 18/10/2011 09:19

Hmph. MW was here to listen to heartbeat, got as far as taking my blood pressure and then realised she'd left the doppler behind! She's coming back at lunchtime to do it instead. Bean, this would be a good time for you to practice some kicking. I thought I felt movement last night but I'm not 100% sure.

shakeyjake · 18/10/2011 09:19

angel good luck for today give GILS a huge hug from me xxxxx

too glad the ammnio wasnt too painful and fx for those results for you.

ciwi glad the scan went ok x

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 18/10/2011 08:08

Angel, so excited for you - hope all goes smoothly and easily! Are you ready, GILS? Xxxx

janedoe25 · 18/10/2011 07:20

angel I wish you all the luck in the world for today, Georgie will be looking out for you and Gils. Give gils a big hug for me.xxxx cant wait to hear of her safe arrival. x

AngelGeorgie · 18/10/2011 04:47

Arh Blue we can all relate where you re coming from. There Is a whole range of ." disappointment" to experience Isn t there? I know , unfortunately, after what we have all experienced ours is the worst. Not to " bag" trophies or anything but it just is. You can t compare a few months of ttc to a few months of ttc post losing a baby. Many hugs to you.
I m not a " preachy" person but all I can say , through my experiences, is hang in there none of us know what's round the corner.( feel free to tell me to shut the Fu** up!!!) we will all get there we deserve to. Hugs xxxx

Bluetinkerbell · 17/10/2011 22:06

thanks Angel I'm fine, very tired after a busy weekend :)
also this ttc is getting a bit frustrating :( on CD31 and I don't have a clue whether I have ov'd already or not, these cheap Amazon sticks are not doing the trick for me I'm afraid. Anyone a Clearblue Fertility monitor spare for me?

My little sis had also phoned me this weekend saying she was a few days late. She was going on a spa weekend with friends and asking what she could and couldn't do.
I texted her just now to ask how it went and she replied that her AF came today. So I said oh well that's typical... to which she replied she was sad and disappointed about it and that she wants it so much!
She only stopped with the pill back in July just before her wedding. She said she might be focussing on it too much. Yeah well that's life you know! :(
Sorry for the rant... it just annoys me, she deserves happiness and a baby as well, but don't talk about be about being disappointed when your period comes... there are much worser things in life to go through than having your period...

Angel I hope you have a superb day tomorrow when you will meet your lovely daughter Gils! I'm very sure Georgie is looking after you! Let us know how it goes! Give her lots of cuddles and a kiss from me Wink

I'm getting all excited about all these births (I'm still following on the November forum and we had one every day since Friday) The one I was most excited about was Caz's little boy Xander being born, her precious angel Anabelle is now a proud big sister! On the other hand I so so wish it would be me giving birth around now :(
I am however now convinced I would really like a home birth next time...
which reminds me... references for the house are ok! :) we do however need a guarantor because I put in an individual application just on my name, as DH just started out as self-employed. I don't earn enough for the rent/other expenses ration (1500 pounds less than what is needed) so we had to ask DH's brother to be a guarantor for us. He will never have to pay our rent, didn't have to in the last year, as we've always managed... we would compromise on other things... a roof over our head is more important than other things.

So happy for good scans and amnio's today! hopefully results will be positive too!

love to all!
(sorry for the epic post)

ciwi Im so glad the scan went well, and the sonographer was nice.

Ciwi excellant news xxx hope you re relieved. Xx

Hi Shakey, Jane xx
Green I ve found most of my bosses to be knobs. I ll certainly post when I can x
August hope you can get some answers from your consultant x
Hi Razz hope u re ok?
Been back in for another trace ; all good. Out for lunch & sorted all my stuff out .
Will post when can. Love to all xxx

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 17/10/2011 18:22

Ciwi, oh good, that sounds highly promising! Excellent news.

Mel, they ought to be able to see a heartbeat at 7+3 - they saw one at 6+5 with me. FX for a nice clear hb!

August, I think consultants tend to gloss over things too. My PM results were pretty inconclusive - placenta was only operating at 80%, but that could be normal; head was on 95th centile but weight on 10th, so there might have been some IUGR but maybe not as brain:liver ratio was normal; death caused by hypoxia over a few days, but no really clear reason why. I found it very hard to understand and really only accepted it when we got a second opinion from an obstetrician unconnected with the hospital. It is such a horrible time, trying to absorb everything when nothing makes much sense.

MelMal · 17/10/2011 17:45

So relieved that things have gone well today for you girls. Now just the results for you Too. remember plenty of rest [waggy finger out] xx

ciwi · 17/10/2011 17:12

Hi girls, all went as well as it could really, the placenta and blood flow is normal and baby measuring normal for dates. The consultant said he is optimistic and when dh asked if we are looking good to get to 24 weeks he said oh yes, and then some, so hopefully that means that this little one is likely to get far along enough to be ok. I have to go back for another Doppler in 4 weeks and if that's ok no more till 30weeks. he even gave us a 4d scan and picture, couldn't tell if it was a girl or boy though as baby wouldnt let him see. Not bothered at all about that though.
too glad things went ok for you too, I am sure your results will all be fine on Friday, just take time out to rest and let dh look after you x
angel the report from my scan today says 3 vessels in cord so they can definitely tell on a Doppler scan, maybe you should ask for one of those next time?
mel yay for 5 weeks, I had a scan at 6+6 this time and they saw the heartbeat x
Sorry to everyone I have missed, have had a stressful and tiring day and am shattered now!

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 17/10/2011 16:26

A little - not very much. The needle hurt a little bit going in, and then a bit more when it went through the wall of the womb. Nothing terrible, though. They said I might get a burny feeling as they drew the fluid out, but I didn't. She put the needle in (I was watching the screen, not looking at my tummy, and DH was made to stand in the corner, so he couldn't see the needle either) and then said it had stuck on the membrane and she would have to reposition it, and then went stab! That didn't really hurt any more - just a bit more pressure, but I could see the needle shoot down closer to Bean's head, which was scary to watch.

DH has been pampering me and has now gone out to rearrange the garage in a slight huff - think he is all wound up to ridiculous heights and needs to work it off a bit. A bit of physical exercise will help.

janedoe25 · 17/10/2011 16:03

too Im glad today went well for you, I hope your dh is looking after you! Did the amnio hurt?
