Too I hope you get hold of someone today, you must be so worried. I'm waiting for my dr to call me back as I had a letter about blood tests, apparently one of the ones I had recently came back abnormal but I don't know what one. God knows what time they'll call back as they always run so late. Hope it's something simple for you xx

greenzebra · 03/10/2011 17:24

Too that is unbeleiveable that they would leave a message for you like that, dont they realise that your mind is going to be going on overdrive!

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 03/10/2011 17:07

Oh fuck fuck fuck, I have a voicemail from the hospital asking me to phone in to discuss my Down's syndrome screening. I didn't pick up the message until 4.10, although it was left this morning, and naturally the midwife who left the message buggered off home at 4 and I have tried to phone Triage, my consultant, the main midwife surgery and my community midwife and got absolutely nowhere. DH has finally got through to Triage and asked if someone can investigate, and he's been told they'll call him back. I bet. Why does the whole fucking system shut down at 4pm??

janedoe25 · 03/10/2011 12:38

Oh my god green I cant believe someone could be so bloody insensitive, what a twat! Your poor DH and his friends poor kids.Sad

angle Grin at a lice baby.

greenzebra · 03/10/2011 09:53

My dh is similar he hides his worry and his opinions, but then the other day a good friend of his who is going through a separation from his wife (they have 2 kids) turned round and said to him 'I really regret having kids' If I was to do it again I wouldnt have children. I really cant believe hes said this, to my DH of all people. DH looked pretty annoyed about it, and then said he doesnt realise how good hes got it. He hasnt mentioned it since. But what kind of a fiend is that you should never wish your kids away like that. I dont really like the guy think hes immature idiot over this whole break up. But anyway thats a whole other thread and story that I dont really want to get into.

AngelGeorgie · 02/10/2011 17:30

I don t want a LICE baby !!! I want a nice screaming baby!!!!!!!

AngelGeorgie · 02/10/2011 17:28

Chesse bugger them!!! If people feel uncomfortable when you talk about Scarlett that's their problem & I always think what's a little discomfort in their lives which passes momentarily compared to what we ve been through. We saw my neighbour yesterday who's 26 weeks pg talking about she's only got 14 weeks to go then her ll baby will ve here & I said if you re lucky they re on time. Ant said afterwards " it's not fair is it? All she's worried about is if the baby is here on the due date or not?" I was surprised as normally it's me that has unpleasant thoughts. I don t , for 1 minute, wish them any I'll Healy but people are so naive and smug sometimes aren t they???
I said as long as our GILS is fine I don t really care what happens to them.
They were the couple that said to us previously that they wouldn t find out the gender of their baby as they
" would be disappointed if they didn t have a boy!!!" TO US!!! I wad very good and didn t say what I wanted to " well, a lice screaming baby will do for us regardless of sex"!!! Unbelievable!!!! So us & the other neighbours have our FX for team pink!!!! ( however they are the type of couple where they will have a boy. One of those who always come up smelling of roses!!!)
Anyway , my attitude now is ; don t worry about other people as regardless of what happens to them will make no difference to our lives. Concentrate on us instead & whats important in life. Ok, rant over!!! Was just surprised at Ant as he's normally the more level headed of the both us shows he's worrying. Poor love.
Just returned from the cinema been to see
" tinker,Tailor,Solider, Spy" very slow going a bit of a disappointment really.
Hope everyone's having a good day xxx

razzdazz · 02/10/2011 14:57

Hello all,
Beautiful day here also, enjoying it though it has made the ironing hard work!!
too how exciting that you think you may be able to feel movement now. With Thomas I started feeling flutters at around 15 weeks that grew stronger, by the time that I lost him he used to really tickle me, never really developed into kicks though one of his problems were very short limbs so that could of been why???
bluecan you believe that at my daughters school you are not allowed to bring in treats on b'days......it is incase other children have any allergies. You can at my sons school though.....he usually takes mini choc bars
green your evening sounds wonderful, it makes me miss my hubby even more, I havent seen him since we concieved, it is hard Sad
cheesehope you start finding your feet with the insulin and that it all settles down. Im glad for you that you and hubby have decided what you would like on Scarletts headstone. I hope you dont mind but when you linked the other day to the casts you had made I had a look at the pictures of Scarlett, she was beautiful and my heart truly broke for you and your family.
I have put the doppler away for now as I have read that you shouldnt try every day?? and will have another go in the week (if I dare)

All continue to enjoy the sun Grin

CheeseandGherkins · 02/10/2011 12:39

Felt a little better today but then felt really strange as I've moved onto morning insulin but was still highish and it's left me feeling a bit shaky. Hate feeling like that. Off out for sunday lunch with my parents after which will be nice I hope. First time injecting while out though! I'll have to wait for the food to arrive at the table and then head to the toilet! I'm quite nervous about it actually.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine xx

Blue I'm a vegetarian too but do like a bbq still, I like jacket spuds and some of the meat free/quorn things are very nice. Everyone takes sweets in on their birthday here (all 3 dcs and all their friends) and we did when I was at school too.

Too I felt flutters before 12 weeks and did last time too, that I knew were definitely the baby. Feeling stronger movements now but not proper kicks just yet. Sainsburys do some really lovely alcohol free sparkling wine and there is a nice still white and rose I know of too that are lovely. i'll definitely be remembering both days but I've also wondered about dates on her headstone, on her cross at the moment it say the 6th Dec but I think I'll have both on her headstone. I've thought about it a lot and it feels right to me to do that and dh agrees.

shakey that's lovely, can't wait to feel a proper kick :o 16+1 today

green lovely and sunny here again too, it's just a shame I've been ill and ds2 has his broken foot so we can't do much to enjoy it! I feel a bit better now I've told people about this pregnancy tbh, there have been a few times lately when I've nearly said something that would have given it away and stopped myself so I decided to just do it. It's nice to know that family and friends are sending good vibes too :)

Angel I've been speaking more about Scarlett lately to people, often crops up when you're asked about children etc and I feel wrong to deny her so I just tell them. It can make them uncomfortable but I try not to let it and just be "normal".

razz any more luck with the doppler? It's often a lot lower than you expect and make sure you move slowly everywhere, try either side first and see what you can find.

greenzebra · 02/10/2011 08:08

blue it isnt a custom here but its cute so why not do it anyway.

I spent the whole of yesterday out enjoying the sun, sorry to those who had the rain. I watched the rugby while having a fry up down the pub, then sat in the beer garden all day, followed by a family BBQ and then a massive ice cream on the beach while watching the sun set, pure bliss, if only everyday could be like that. Today is full of washing, but I am going to be doing some crafting, so not too bad.

mel well done.

AngelGeorgie · 02/10/2011 00:31

Too I m always late feeling movement and very rarely kicking as such. I normally feel flutters and windy like movements. With both Georgie & Gils I tend to feel the odd kick only and more movements like I mentioned above. Can t remember when I first felt anything probably about 20 ish weeks. Xxx

shakeyjake · 01/10/2011 23:18

evening girls, i have only just felt definate baby kicks within the last week, now 18+6, thought i felt them a couple of weeks ago too but was still unsure.

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 01/10/2011 21:25

Blue, it wasn't the custom when I was at school (although it is at work). A Halloween baby - how cute!

Angel, it is pouring with rain here! So not very hot. Envy of those of you with sun.

Mel, you are so brave to have spoken about Ruby like that.

Am waiting for the first movement here, now that I am officially 14 weeks and with a posterior placenta. Come on, baby bean! Kick as hard as you can! I haven't felt anything definite yet - the odd twitch, but I'm never positive that it's bean and not just a muscle twitch or wind or something. Cheese, Shakey and others ahead of me, when did you feel the first definite movement?

DH is drinking frizzante wine and I am jealous! I know I could have a little glass, but I want to get plastered Blush, not be moderate. [lush emoticon]

Bluetinkerbell · 01/10/2011 17:08

I'm fine thanks! trying to keep DD occupied on this warm day. DH is working all day and only coming home round 7pm. He wanted to do a BBQ tonight, but no chance for that. It seems so silly do a BBQ for 2, cause by the time he's home, DD needs to go to bed. Plus I'm vegetarian :)
So it will be shop bought pizza tonight instead.

I'm on CD 15 today, still no sign of ovulation, I guess it will be a late one again.

I've got a question, you lovely ladies might be able to help me. It's DD's birthday on 31st of October, she'll be 3. Is it custom here to take something into school/playgroup on your birthday? Like cupcakes or so?
I know it was in Belgium. Last year I didn't do anything as she only just started going to the childminder then.

Good luck Jane xxx
blue nice to hear from you. Hope you re ok? Xx hi all hope everyone is well? How hot is it???

janedoe25 · 01/10/2011 12:59

mel I too am proud that youtold Ruby's story, I'm sure she is too!

angel I talk about Zoe all the time too!

blue Im on CD3. I want to do smep but it depends where df is working, fingers crossed he is not working away.

Bluetinkerbell · 01/10/2011 12:16

well finally found some time to sit down and reply!

My package with ov and pregnancy sticks arrived 2 days ago :)

Too My DH weighed himself this week as well on the Wii Fit board, his BMI is now pointing at Obese :( he gained about 3 stone since I met him, mostly in the last 2 years since he's on antidepressants. He has been fixing his mountainbike and we will be cycling when we can, which is good exercise. I'm surprised the doctor didn't say anything about his weight gain. It also doesn't help that he is now working as a driving instructor and sits in the car all day.

Mel glad your MIL is ok and proud of you that you told Ruby's story!

cheese how are you feeling now you've gone public with your pregnancy?

Angel waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah not long now! so exciting!

jane which cycle day are you on now? are you going to stick to the smep plan? we are trying! now just need to use ov sticks every day to see when I'm ov-ing...

green I hope the house troubles get sorted soon! reminds me I think we need to sign our new rental contract

razz good luck with the monitor! I hope it gives you comfort! I have one but not sure if I will use it next time round... not sure if I was able to pick up Sterre's heartbeat, I think I had at one point, but it was so slow. DH thought it was mine, but when I checked it was different. So now thinking back about it, I might have heard her, but it was not good as she was probably dying at that point :( although at that point I wasn't worried about it. I know I will possibly freak out about it next time. It's going to be hard! (sorry for the rambling) please if you ever feel worried that you can't pick it up from about 16 weeks or so, please get checked out yeah?

AngelGeorgie · 01/10/2011 11:49

Well done Mel glad it helped talking about Ruby. I like to talk about Georgie to anyone / everyone that will listen to me!! . Also think it helps educate people. Xx
Hope the sun is shining for all xxx

razzdazz · 01/10/2011 11:07

blue really well done on telling Ruby's story. There was bound to be tears but I hope that by talking about her and what happened it gave you some small relief in some kind of way.

Well, came in from my sleep-over shift and my doppler had arrived. Made a promise to myself that I wouldnt use it until this week when i am 12 weeks. Of course promises are only kept or broken and I just couldnt resist Blush. Needless to say, I cant find a heart beat, only the swishing sound of what I think is the placenta so I am quite cross with myself now Angry. Oh well, Im sure I will be trying again!!

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend, what beautiful weather.

MelMal · 30/09/2011 22:15

She's fine. Went in for minor op but was kept overnight as it turned out to be a big more complicated than first thought. She's ok though. Thanks for asking.
Just back from Sands meeting and I told Ruby's story. There were quite a few tears but I managed to do if and am really pleased I did x

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 30/09/2011 18:51

I also meant to say thanks for telling me what SMEP is, Angel! Hope you're enjoying the time off - only 1 more week to go and then ML!

TooImmature2BDumbledore · 30/09/2011 18:50

Oh man, now I want an Indian! DH weighed himself last night and has been sulking ever since, so he may not be keen. He won't tell me what he weighs, it's very annoying. He says he'll tell me after he's lost 3 stone, so it must be pretty bad. I am glorying in being exempt from any dieting or strenuous exercise at present, which I think may make it harder for DH. He doesn't want to diet, though - says exercise should do the trick Hmm. Not convinced...

Cheese, poor you for having to go onto 3 injections a day, especially when you're a bit poorly too. Hope you manage to eat lots of delicious curry tonight!

What you say about Scarlett's birthday being a different day if you had stayed in makes sense, because I read your original thread and remember how things happened. Sad If you want to mark the day she died then go for it - on the bereaved thread they commemorate birthdays, remember days (ie, date of death) and funeral anniversaries, so don't feel held to any one day. I think that both days will be sad and poignant even if we choose to only focus on one, if you see what I mean.

Mel, sorry, missed the bit about your MIL - is she ok now?

Razz, I read all the doppler stuff with great interest, but DH isn't keen. He thinks I'll freak myself out. I think I would learn to self-doppler pretty quickly, but hey. Maybe later he'll feel differently.

Hi Dachs, has your boss been giving you a hard time? You told us before that she was pretty awful about maternity leave and stuff - is she living up to her reputation?

CheeseandGherkins · 30/09/2011 18:30

Evening, not feeling quite so bad today but still fairly ill. Trying to keep up with eating though and waiting for an indian to arrive now, see how much I can manage! I called my numbers in for GD and they've put me on morning injections as well now so that's 3 times a day :( Still low doses though at the moment which is good but my numbers have been a bit off. She said that could be because I'm ill though so we'll see.

Thanks for all the input on dates, I do consider Scarlett's birthday as the day she was actually born but I didn't know whether to mark the day she died too, seeing as there were a few days inbetween and as I said to dh, if I'd have stayed in the day we found out then she may well have been born on a different day but the day she died would stay the same. If that makes any sense.

jane sorry AF turned up

Too hehe, I've been fairly dopey lately but don't think I've put anything on the wrong way just yet! :o

green that sounds crap, hope you get it all sorted out

razz sounds like a good idea with the monitor, hope it turns up soon and that you find it reassuring

Mel hope mil is ok, nothing serious I hope?

angel

AngelGeorgie · 30/09/2011 18:12

Too sperm meets egg plan by a woman called Deanna something if I remember correctly. You can google it but basically it's about having swi every other day from cd8 to you get a + ovulation test then swi that night, next night, night after then 1 last shag 2 nights after, if my memory serves me correctly!!! Not that you need it now!!! Wink

DiffedAgainDachs · 30/09/2011 18:02

sorry - don't want you all to think i'm ignoring or forgetting you. have been having issues at work with my boss so been rather preoccupied - will catch up over the weekend.
