Happy New Year ladies!

Yay for no bleeding Moomin and for SFF Wink Grin

Hello Kelbells, so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Rollercoaster emotions are very common when TTC after miscarriage but all of the ladies on here know exactly how you feel and will be here for the ride with you! Hope it's not long before you get a nice sticky BFP Smile

Don't be giving up yet Tomboy, remember all pregnancies are different - some have symptoms, some are symptomless - it ain't over till the fat lady sings!

TomboyWife · 01/01/2012 17:38

Hello ladies, and Happy New Year!

Olives so sorry about your chemical pg. Sad

Moomin hooray for not bleeding!

Welcome Kelbells! I think we've all been through that awful "I knew it could happen, but I didn't really think it would happen to me" feeling. It's very common for your cycles to be a bit weird for a while after a mc, but it sounds like you're getting back to normal quite quickly.

For my part, the good news is that my current cycle has given every indication of being normal, but the bad news is that it's CD23 and I don't feel pg. At this point in my BFP cycle I pretty much knew I was up the duff.

Kelbells · 01/01/2012 14:18

Hello All... Xmas Grin

I was hoping to join your festively supportive and lucky thread!

I had an ERPC on 24th November after a MMC @ 8 weeks.... It was our first time trying to conceive and we'd managed after only 2 weeks of trying - Although I knew it was a risk I just never thought that it would happen to us Shock, silly girl. I've just finished my WTF cycle and AF which happened amazingly close to on time - I was a clockwork 28 day cycle before and this one was 31 days... I think I'm ready to get back in the saddle. Do most people find that it goes back to normal or do they find they're having wierd cycles afterwards?. My DB and SIL just announced that they're 4 weeks preggers and keep asking my advice on what's normal in early pregnancy - I'm so happy for them but at the same time thinking about it makes me realise what's not happening for us and my boss has just told me he and his DP are due to have a baby on what was my due date.... I'm excited for the future, so scared I won't get pregnant again, petrified I will and I'll MC again and desperate to POAS even though I'm only on CD08.... Sigh Sorry to ramble, I am usually a positive little bunny.... but noone else to tell!!

Loup23 · 01/01/2012 12:46

Sorry to hear about the PWP green I really hope you get some answers soon, keeping everything crossed for you that 2012 is your year for DC2.

Hope everybody had a good NYE, am hoping this year brings lots of healthy bumps and babies for us all x

Moominsummermadness · 31/12/2011 10:02

Hello ladies, sorry for the absence- with husband and kids at home I've not had much of an opportunity to come on-line!

Huge congrats to loup and amandine, great news.

Green, am really sorry to hear of your chemical preg, such a disappointing thing to go through.

I have now had 8 days withour bleeding, which is bliss! Fingers crossed that since the 'retained product of conception' removed itself, everything is getting back to normal. Have no idea where I am with my cycle though- my bleeding post-norethisterone started on Dec 14th. Would have thought I would count that as CD1, but as it was an artificially induced period, am not sure that my hormone levels would be right afterwards, so I don't know that I would even ovulate this month. Have not shown any signs of ovulation (but have avoided using OPK this month). However, have been making the most of lots of time with DH anyway Xmas Wink.

Hope you all have a fabulous 2012, and all get your wishes of a lovely little baby!

AmandinePoulain · 31/12/2011 08:47

I'm sorry to hear that green Sad, hopefully you'll get some answers soon x

CollieandPup · 31/12/2011 08:14

Just popping in to say a HUGE congrats to loup and tina !!!! Grin Amazing news, so happy for you both! Xxx

GreenOlives · 29/12/2011 21:26

Thanks Amandine, I think my iron is probably ok because I always had good Hb results in my pregnancy with DS and it didn't even drop when I had a big post-partum haemorrhage after his birth. I take a shed load of other supplements though and I got suckered into the manuka honey thing too - I spend a fortune on TTC. I have just had the disappointment of a chemical pregnancy, I had a PWP (pathetic weak positive) on Xmas day but unfortunately it wasn't to be - I started bleeding 2 days later and now have a BFN Sad I have my follow up appt for my RMC testing at the beginning of Feb and if all seems well I think I may start looking into being tested for NK cells as I'm really worried that that could be my problem. I hate the thought of medicalising everything but after 2.6 years I fear it may be my only option! Either way I am determined that DS WILL NOT be an only child so I need to persevere! Sorry for the me, me, me post, I hope all of you are well and that we all have a very happy new year full of healthy pregnancies and bouncing babies! Grin

AmandinePoulain · 29/12/2011 15:29

green I've just thought of something else I did that might have helped...for a few months I've been taking liquid iron called ferroglobin, made by vitabiotics after my acupuncturist told me I needed more iron. I was looking at the box earlier and there's honey in it, which is meant to be good for conception so maybe that helped?

loup how are things?

I'm starting to think about early scan options, I'd like one at around 8 weeks (around when the last baby stopped growing Sad) and I'm torn between forking out £140 or having to go back to the epu (which isn't exactly high up on my favourite places list). Dh is reluctant to spend so much money but I can probably work on him if that's what I decide. I've arranged my booking in appointment for 7+ weeks so I might wait until then and chat to the mw. Meanwhile my boobs are huge and sore and I'm having dizzy spells, no ms yet but before now that's started at around 5 weeks for me, so I'm enjoying my food whilst I can Grin!

I've had to tell a few people at work because I have had to avoid looking after patients with a viral infection and on an inhaled treatment, the people that know I'm sure will be discreet apart from one, who I imagine will have taken out a newspaper ad Angry. After last time though I can't imagine anyone saying anything to me though.

Hope you all had lovely Christmases x

Loup23 · 24/12/2011 09:52

Congratulations Tina may these be sticky beans - trying not to freak out.

green we didnt do that much different I don't think, this month I have been taking b6 each day, trying to cut down on booze (not v successfully as thought a bfp was out of the question) and we used pre seed a couple of times Wink

One thing to say is that the day after my two 'peaks' I had bleeding fir 5 days Confused hoping it's nothing serious but just to add it to the pile of 2ww symptoms in case anyone else out there experiences it - am going to book in to see the gp in the new year ( all being well)....

Merry christmas to all, let 2012 be a lucky baby filled one for all of us xxx

Velvetcu · 23/12/2011 20:52

aandr I'm glad you are getting some treatment fx for a great new year

mousebacon · 23/12/2011 19:45

Woohoo! Congrats all round ladies - such a lucky thread!

Good luck to all those still chasing that BFP and merry Christmas ladies Xmas Grin

Wow, three pieces of good news in a row! Fantastic! Xmas Grin Congrats to Blackkat loup and The Artist Formerly Known as Tina!

GreenOlives · 23/12/2011 19:20

Thanks for that, I tried acupuncture over the summer but had no joy after 3 months of that and I just couldn't afford to carry on! Interesting about stopping the vitamins though. You enjoy every mouthful of that Maccy D's, you deserve it Xmas Grin

AmandinePoulain · 23/12/2011 19:14

I used a Persona monitor and I've been having acupuncture for a few cycles, I really felt like that did something because last time she concentrated on my kidneys and I was weeing all day afterwards! Grin Blush. I'd stopped taking all the vits apart from liquid iron.

Dh has gone out to fetch a celebratory macdonalds! I usually keep to a lowish fat diet because my cholesterol is fairly high but now I can eat whatever I want Grin

GreenOlives · 23/12/2011 18:56

Hello ladies, just wanted to say massive congratulations to Loup and Amandine, that's fantastic news, what fabulous Christmas presents those BFPs are Xmas Grin Out of interest did you ladies do anything new/different this month which may have helped gain a BFP? All advice gratefully received! Smile

Congrats on the safe arrival of your daughter too Blackkat Xmas Grin

Not much to report here, I'm 12 dpo of my second cycle post ectopic. I have got sore boobs but am starting to get crampy abdo pains so I fear AF may be making a Xmas visit to the Olives household Sad

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 23/12/2011 18:21

Huuuuuge congratulations to blackkat on the arrival of her little girl and to loup and tina on their BFPs!!! Grin Grin Grin. Lovely to have some good news on the thread for Christmas!!! Grin

AmandinePoulain · 23/12/2011 16:58

Delurking (Tina here, name changed because of the whole fb like button controversy) to GrinGrinGrin and say SNAP to loup! I just got my bfp 10 months after my mc! I'm freaking a bit though because it's a year to the day since my last one Sad but I'm mostly GrinGrinGrinGrin

Loup23 · 23/12/2011 12:39

Hi ladies, sorry for being AWOL for so long, after another set of normal tests I though we'd ride the year out and go for a specialist appt in Jan but have just had the biggest shock, after 9 months of post mc cycles finally got a BFP this morning...... Grin. Am literally borderline 4 weeks so very early days but really hoping this could be it......

Anyway wanted to pop in to say hi and to thank you all for your support, I shall be lurking and praying for the next 8 weeks to pass without trauma..

Huge congratulations to the new beans that have arrived - what lovely Christmas presents!

xx

Blackkat · 22/12/2011 21:38

wanted to say hello to AandR and Zam, so lovely to hear from you both. Smile

Also to let you all know that our baby girl arrived on Tuesday morning, and I wanted to thank all of you who have supported me since my mc, on the just mc, FO room threads and here in the common room. I have found such friendship, support and understanding here I will always be very grateful.

Wishing all the best to all of you and looking forward to hearing good news from you.

Tina, Lily and *Falcon, if you are lurking, lots of love and hugs x x x x

ZamMummyInGabs · 21/12/2011 21:49

Also delurking to give everyone a festive especially AandR - glad you got somewhere at last. We will be back to TTC in a couple of weeks when we get back to Botswana (been in UK since 3rd Dec till 29th) - have been having a month off to take anti-ulcer meds (brought on by the aspirin - joy!) and vitex to lengthen LP, which seems to have worked. It's been lovely not temping, might carry on with that if I can restrain myself from trying to control everything.....
Seeing best friends next week who have had 4 x unsuccessful IVF Sad and, I think, reached the end of the road so keeping things firmly in perspective and enjoying the wonderful DSs I have - who saw snow for the first time last week, and we all went sledging Grin.
Have a wonderful Christmas all, hope i haven't missed any BFP's xxx

Ostrich78 · 21/12/2011 20:05

Hello if anyone is still here!

Moomin fingers crossed that the scan comes through soon and shows the all clear, that must have been really awful for you xx Sorry to hear about your SIL x

Knitter so good to hear alls going well. The doppler sounds like it's coming in handy for you!

I'm hoping to be 10 weeks tomorrow but I'm really worried about lack of symtoms (I had nausea, sore boobs and an overwhelming tiredness with my ds). No scan date yet but checking my boobs and the toilet paper inbetween manic Christmas shopping!!!

Hope everyone's well, and looking forward to hear how you're all doing.

mousebacon · 18/12/2011 09:06

Hi ladies, nice to see you back AandR Smile

Just delurking to give you all a wave.

All continues to go well here - we're 18 weeks tomorrow which seems almost unbelievable. Had quick doppler this evening and hb lovely and strong.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 16/12/2011 21:24

Just popping in to give aandr a big (((hug))) - lovely to hear from you, chica Smile. So glad you managed to see Dr S and are finally getting the steroids - I know this has been really successful for quite a few people so I'll be keeping everything crossed for some good news from you in the New Year xx

moomin hope you're ok, that must have been such a shock! Can't believe they won't scan you earlier (well actually I can Sad ) but hopefully the scan in the new year will set your mind at rest.
