bee :) :) :) so so pleased for you - needles at the ready lady!

mouse :( any news?

tina have you tested too early?

No news here, apart from the fact 3 of my friends have given birth this week.....3!!?? Really??! Obviously pleased but Envy too ! xx

Ladybee · 26/08/2011 03:48

Thanks for all the Grins ladies, I'm still feeling amazed that it's actually true, but it does seem to be. Although incredibly early days and with my track record it's a struggle to get motivated enough to start the meds. Did my first injection and it just bought it all back. Still, I am going to be grateful for this chance and will give it my best shot. So to speak.
Excitingly I have just discovered that I can self- request certain bloodtests and it's not too expensive so may get a blood hcg done tomorrow and then Monday.

MummyA - my DS went through a phase of continual colds etc as well and this season the coughs seem to have been very persistent, three weeks has been usual. But have you considered a child's vitamin or tonic? I think they can be useful especially if the illness comes along with decreased appetite or increased pickiness.

Great news about YRMOTB scan, and that you'll get another peek soon.

Digi - denial is definitely the way forward, although I have to confess to spending far longer staring at Internet screens yesterday than I normally would on a day with DS at home. I'm going to try to chill a bit more from now on though, just got to make a Drs appt to get into whatever the system is here. How are you doing on the steroid protocol? Do you know whether need the transfusion too?

Tina - so did you test at 10 dpo with non-FMU? What kind of stick? If it's a cheapie I think I am entitled to slinging some fish in your direction. Don't give up just wait a bit longer and pee in the mornings. Smile

Mouse - hope that you're wrong but sorry if you are.

Waves to all my memory is giving out and I'm on phone so no scrolling

AandRMum · 25/08/2011 22:34

now there is one bean who was determined to be New Zealand born and bred!!! Oooo every sticky thought possible.

I am just about to head into the 2ww ...

Freezingmyarseoff · 25/08/2011 22:19

Oh sorry to hear that Tina Sad

MissTinaTeaspoon · 25/08/2011 17:34

Just caved and tested with a Superdrug sensitive test - BFN Sad

ZamMummyInGabs · 25/08/2011 17:14

Hurrah for bee! GrinGrinGrin
Tina I think you may be the last 2ww-er - I'm on CD1 here, but quite philosophical about it as still up in the air about possible move to Sierra Leone. My opinion on it changes about twice a day - currently I think it's an opportunity for an adventure we shouldn't refuse, but ask me again tomorrow and who knows Hmm
Got the expat laydees coming over for gin later, including a friend who leaves tomorrow for Mongolia Shock so much bollocks will be talked insight will be gained then I'm sure Smile
Xxx

MissTinaTeaspoon · 25/08/2011 13:34

Still Grin for ladybee Grin

Our ferries will cross paths then izzy, we're going in the opposite direction on the 30th! Enjoy the rest of your hols x

tomboy you're in a great situation then - it's fab if you're preg and fab if your not!

Me, I need to be - I've just realised that if I come on as I should I'll have to manage a mooncup at the ILs! Blush Temps still up way above the coverline so cross everything for me...

Boo to your af mouse, will you enjoy some Wine whilst you're away?

Am I the last 2 ww-er? The pressures on...

Youremindmeofthebabe · 25/08/2011 10:56

Oh bee thats absolutely amazing news! Well done! Congratulations. We love the octonauts in this house too, and to be honest I'm quite a fan of it too!

battery mine was heavy and quite lumpy too. It lasted around 10 days, as opposed to my usual 3 or 4. Hope that's not too daunting, but I don't know if that is particularly usual, but better to be prepared for the possibility?

Laughing at MA as a boiled egg! When ds started nursery he had a constant cold for what seemed like a full 12 months. He was only 6 months at the time though.

mousebacon · 25/08/2011 09:49

Hello ladies, just a quick one as we're going away with DS this weekend!

No POAS for me, temps have dropped properly today so AF will no doubt arrive whilst I'm stuck on the A1 somewhere!

Lady I am so thrilled for you! That is just bloody marvellous news! Grin Grin Grin

Tina I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you my dear Smile

My crosshairs are blue because FF would have had me at about 26dpo by now if I didn't force it to believe me instead!

Waves to all - must go and pack!!

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 25/08/2011 08:39

I'm here, I'm here! Still over in France, still dodgy wifi connection so checking in occasionally but not getting chance to post much or keep losing connection when I do! Angry

bee Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin that is just fantastic news, lovely, I am so pleased for you and keeping everything crossed! Grin Grin

yrmotb welcome to team yellow!! Smile

Good luck to mouse and anyone else awaiting poas-ing... Would be lovely to see a run of bfps to start the thread off Smile

Big hugs to those that need them xx

I am doing ok, over 26 weeks now, just suffering terrible insomnia which I don't remember from previous pgs so constantly knackered but enjoying some R&R on holiday. When I get back next week will be into 3rd trimester so reckon I need to get on with buying baby stuff, sorting out bedrooms etc but still feels hard to believe I might actually end up with a baby

Will go now and hope I don't lose this, am back on the 30th so promise to catch up properly then xx

digitalgirl · 25/08/2011 08:10

Oh ladybee that's brilliant news! Grin Congratulations. Now if possible, try to relax remain completely in denial about it for at least a couple of weeks.

DiffedAgainDachs · 25/08/2011 06:43

bee that's fab fab fab news. :)

We'll have to be nail biting waiting for the first scan buddies :)

MummyAbroad · 25/08/2011 02:46

oh by the way ladyB here in Costa Rica the state gives all pregnant women 1mg of folic acid for the entire pregnancy. I have been told off several times for asking if I can stop taking it after the first trimester Hmm

thanks tina good to know I am not the only one to go through it. Its also rainy season and therefore for us, flu season here too, so that much have something to do with it too.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 25/08/2011 01:21

GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin for ladybee!!!! it just goes to show that once is all you need! To answer your question it's blue because I 'overrode' the ov day, and I guess it didn't find another by itself but I'm thinking day 15. Which makes me 9dpo today. I've been getting cramps in my back though which I usually get a few days before af though so despite several high temps over the last few days, I think I'm out Sad

mummya dd was ill for weeks when she started nursery, with tummy bugs rather than colds though. He'll be building up a great immune system, she's hardly ever ill now

MummyAbroad · 25/08/2011 00:33

oh bee!!! that is bloody brilliant news (to steal Freezing's words) Yay! yay! yay!

I swear there seems to be a pattern on this thread that the more ladies think they cant possibly be diffed, the more frequently it turns out that they are Grin (you hear that mouse? Wink)

lets hope this turns into a nice run of BFP's for everyone!

Its good that you have a stash of drugs to get you started, at least you dont have to panic about trying to get hold of them immediately. Fingers crossed you find a nice sympathetic doc pronto though.

and re: DS, I wish I knew what was wrong, he has had cold after cold since starting nursery school. Might have to start a thread and ask if this is "normal" or not, he is on his 4th in as many months. Poor mite.

congrats on the job Tomboy IMO if you have accepted now and are not officially preggas now, then its all fair!

Freezingmyarseoff · 25/08/2011 00:14

I knew there was a reason I hadn't gone to bed yet

Grin Grin Grin that's bloody brilliant news Bee

As someone on here said quite recently "you know the drill" another Grin for you

Congrats

right now I can go to bed.....

Ladybee · 24/08/2011 23:59

Hi all sorry I'm late to the thread, I'm currently hiding from DS who is pretending to be Captain Barnacles and insists on calling me Dashi (confused? see here) - he seems quite happy playing by himself though, thank goodness for the age when they can leave us alone to mn occupy themselves Grin.
So...my girls Mousebacon and Tina, why are your charts still giving blue crosshairs have you adjusted the ov dates or something? I'm curious to know whether FF will adjust now that you're further on.
Erm, so Dachs you appear to have psychic abilities. And AandR my zen just dropped through the floor.
Oddly enough, I am pregnant again. (Again, again, again, gin... can anyone hear an echo in here?) I tested yesterday at 13dpo with an IC and got a faint, faint line. Tested again today and it's clear enough for DH to give me a puzzled look. We had sex once this cycle on day 8. I seem to have ovulated 3 days earlier than usual on day 12 and incubated mr spermysperm until then Hmm. God knows how this happened but it seems to have so I'm back on the roller-coaster. .

Sooo....I guess I start injecting again. And will need to try to convince someone to prescribe me some more progesterone & clexane. I figure I've got about 5 weeks worth of progesterone using 1 a day but haven't counted my clexane boxes. Went and bought a shop-load of decaf tea/coffee & vitamin supplements yesterday too - mostly b6 to help progesterone...interesting fact of the day: here the recommended dose of folic acid is 800ug not 400 as in UK - I wonder why?

AandR really sorry about the house delays. I know what it's like to pin conception chances on another event, I did it with the move - hence my meltdown last cycle. Is the delay definitely going to happen? You WILL be up-diffed before the house is completed though, it makes better tv that way when the deadline is a baby arriving. Sorry hope that's not too flippant, big squeeze m'dear, it will work out in time and you Will look back on this period of your life and think well that was tough but look at what we have now!

battery the delayed period must be very worrying, my theory is an annovulatory cycle with no bleed and now you're heading into a second cycle. I really really really hope that this one presents normally and you can relax about that aspect of it though. If the thought of starting it all again when you see DP next is too much, you could just take a break and not try. I know it goes against the grain when you just want to be pregnant again, but sitting it out a bit longer might give you a better headspace for the cycle after? Anyway, hope you have a good trip either way Smile

MummyA what's wrong with DS? Seems like he's been poorly for a while. I love the image of you wedged like a boiled egg behind the wheel to take your test. I wonder whether the sight of a very pregnant candidate would make the inspector go easy? Imagine if you got some bad braxton hicks in the middle of it and started driving to the hospital instead Grin

Tomboy that does sound really exciting and I wouldn't worry too much about being pg - you'll still give them at least 6 months of great work and they should be fairly well set-up to cope with the Mat Leave issues.

I should go, DS has been very good but I think he's starting to take every book of his off the bookshelf now. Wish me luck. I'm not sure how I feel about starting all this again but obviously am pleased to have made it (for now) onto the next stage of the game.

Freezingmyarseoff · 24/08/2011 23:01

Evening all,
Took me a while to find the new thread, and I'm afraid I haven't had much time to catch up properly so I'm just marking my spot for now.

Waves to everyone, will do a proper read through of the news tomorrow.

Velvetcu · 24/08/2011 22:46

battery my first af was quite heavy and all of them since erpc were much redder than they ever were before.

TomboyWife · 24/08/2011 22:39

Evening ladies!

Sorry for being AWOL recently, but it's been rather a hectic time. About which more in a minute.

battery sorry your WTF is still so WTF. How long is it now since your mc? I took a little over 8 weeks between mine and AF; it seemed my body didn't want to do the AF thing except at times when AF would normally have been due.

mouse fingers x that the brown stuff isn't AF.

AandR the camper van is still not ready, but I went to see it and the mechanic on Saturday and the new paint job is on and looking really good. There's no particular hurry now that our trip earlier this month couldn't happen the way we'd planned. DH is still despondent about the whole thing, not surprisingly.

Well, it's been an exciting few days for me. I'm officially definitely changing jobs now. I had a verbal offer from the new place on Monday, contract through yesterday, and resigned from my current job this morning. I've still got my notice period to go, but with unused holiday it's just a couple of weeks really. And I so want to be un-pg when I start at the new place. The lack of symptoms so far has been encouraging, but I'm still working on a contingency "I'm so sorry, it really was an accident" speech just in case.

Someone asked what I do for a living. I'm in IT. The change will be from a very big company that you've definitely heard of, to a less massive but still very big company that you might have heard of. Both places will have plenty of experience of people taking maternity leave, it's not like I'd be dropping a three-person business in the poo if I were updiffed when I started, but still...

edwardcullensotherwoman · 24/08/2011 22:27

Evening ladies! Hope everyone is well.

YRMOTB excellent news on your scan! Grin

mouse You poor thing - nothing worse than the waiting game.

Anyway, just a quick dash in today to see how everyone is. I have no news at all atm, just waiting for AF to leave so we can finally pick up where we left off!

MummyAbroad · 24/08/2011 22:21

YRMOTB test is oct 24, two weeks before due date Hmm Lovely Costa Rican bureaucracy wont let me pick a more sensible date - I will give it a go if I feel up to it, but there is every chance I will have to cancel due to having too large a belly (and then wait another 3 months Hmm) In the meantime I am enjoying the lessons, its really nice to do something totally un baby related. Today I went up a mountain on a skinny road full of pot holes with great big fat trucks coming hurtling down in the other direction! Its certainly a great way to take your mind off your troubles!!!

xxxxx

batteryhen · 24/08/2011 20:33

mouse how frustrating :(. It is one of those situations where only time will tell, which frankly is bloody annoying xx

velvet thank you for your words - was your AF normal or any different after your erpc?

babe how lovely of you to dig that out for me - I did think it was too soon to ov - thats why I didn't do any opk, which I regret now :(

blackkat Thanks for your thoughts too - I am hoping that I haven't ov- and that I am reading my body wrong .

AandR I feel your frustration. It is so frustrating and annoying when things are beyond your control. In the past week I have wanted to scream and punch a wall just out of sheer frustration. xxx

digi I am hoping that my lining is thickening - I am eating weird foodstuffs by the gallon in an attempt to get it thickened!

My news is that there is no news - my bloods showed normal results for a follicular phase,soI reckon Ov next week sometime. My mid week trip to see DH is planned - however I do realise that if my womb/lining/life is still shit then I won't be conceiving at all

I am repeating a phrase that I heard Chris Evans say ...'change what you can, accept what you can't' and trying to put it in action. xx

waves to all you lovely ladies xxx

mousebacon · 24/08/2011 19:18

Tested negative again! Aaaggh! Still IC but sure I'd have 2 lines if there was any chance by now.
