And good luck for Friday x

MissTinaTeaspoon · 24/09/2011 10:25

I'm sure a bfp should show up by 13 dpo on a superdrug sensitive AandR but thanks for the optimism! What's weird though is that I've got no pmt symptoms at all and my temp actually rose this morning Confused. I guess the witch is just teasing me Angry

AandRMum · 24/09/2011 09:06

Meant to say my rescan is next Friday - so should be pretty conclusive as to whether things have gone tits up or not this time ...

AandRMum · 24/09/2011 09:03

Bummer Tina - hopefully it is still just a bit early - enjoy your cheese eating and fx for a better result on Monday!!

Hi Twittwoo so shitty to be going through all of this. You can't put your life on hold though and whether you get pregnant now or in 6 months time, it will have the same impact on the employer - both bad (losing someone for 6-12 months) and good (generally getting a very loyal employee back) - I would go for the interview. Maternity leave is like tax - it is one of those things which companies don't always like but understand it is for the overall benefit of society. No maternity leave would mean fewer woman in the workforce and thereby a much weaker economy. I am sure Tomboy will be along shortly as she has just recently changed jobs with a similar dilemma.

Twittwooo · 24/09/2011 07:26

Hi ladies, I haven't been on the forums for a while but thought I'd pop in to say hello again, and ask for a bit of advice!

After two consecutive miscarriages we took a break for a month, then we tried again and I'm now coming to the end of the 2ww. Obviously I'm nervous, if I do get a BFP I won't be able to help thinking the worst is going to happen again, but we'll just have to ride it out and play the waiting game as usual.

But, I have a bit of a moral dilemma. I have a job interview on Friday and I feel a bit deceptive going for a new job when TTC, but with my history I have to accept that even if I do become pregnant again, it may not last and we could be waiting a long time for a successful pregnancy. On the other hand, if I am currently pregnant and it sticks, I'll feel like a bit of a fraud. What do you think ladies - should I go for it or not? My current job is part time and temporary so I probably wouldn't qualify for SMP and it's unlikely I'd have the job to go back to after any pregnancy. It's a tough one, because added to all of this, my current job is in Education, which I went back to university to qualify in fairly recently, and the new one isn't, although it sounds great. Jobs in my field are few and far between at the moment and almost all of them are temporary.

Good luck to everyone TTC! I'm sure you'll help me make a sensible decision .. xxx

Bfn Sad this morning with fmu Sad

TomboyWife · 23/09/2011 23:18

AandR sorry to hear it was inconclusive. Sad It does sound like there's every chance that all is well, but the waiting and bricking it thing is no fun at all, I know. I hope the time goes really fast for you and it's good news on the re-scan.

Tina fx that it's good news for you too!

Right, off to bed for me. My first week in my new job was good, my colleagues are nice, and I'm glad I made the move, but it's been absolutely exhausting. I hope Awake Me will emerge from my coccoon tomorrow.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 23/09/2011 17:15

Grin for lady!! And for freezing for viability Grin

How frustrating for you AandR. When is your repeat scan? If you were a few days out last time chances are it's the same this time x

How are you loup?

I'm changing between optimism and pessimism by the minute...I'm day 27 and no pre af signs - no back pain, only one teeny tiny spot on my chin, no spotting, and I am so so tired and heartburny. On the other hand I'm sure it's my body playing it's usual tricks and I got a bfn on wednesday. I'm too scared to do another one so I'm going to spend the weekend in denial. We're going to be busy doing things for my mum's birthday (cheese festival Grin) so at least I'll be busy!

AandRMum · 23/09/2011 15:25

Thanks LadyM Trying to stick my head in the sand and trying to convince myself since I don't track my ov it could have been anytime from day 15 to day 18 which may account for the difference. I have a vague memory of DD1 dates being out by around 3 or so days so hopefully I am a slow burner (instead of believing I have a blighted ovum and need to have another ERPC)

I PM's MummyA a week or ago. She is doing well - due beginning of November. She is still trying to sort out passing her driving test ...

LadyMaybe · 23/09/2011 11:47

Oh mummyabroad if you're out there, just wanted to check you're ok - you've got lots on your plate I expect but I hope you will come and vent if it starts getting too much. Thinking of you.

LadyMaybe · 23/09/2011 11:43

Ah bum AandR that's frustrating for you. With any luck though you'll go back and it'll have grown those few mm needed for the sonographer to feel confident about what she's seeing. Great that there is a yolk sac and everything is in the right place. Keep plodding through the days

Freezingmyarseoff · 23/09/2011 10:40

Right now to catch up as best I can

Tomboy hope the new job is going okay. New jobs are exciting but a bit scary too (usually in a good way though). Are you working with nice people?

Brilliant news on the scan Digi and the "normal" midwife care Grin

Mouse fingers crossed for a temp rise this month and successful SWI

Tina thanks for the link for the MN MC survey. I did it too.

For those asking about Dachs I noticed she has been posting on the angel babies thread, looks like all is going okay so far.

Battery good luck with the house move. It's pretty exhausting but so exciting too to be moving into a lovely new home Smile
Jollster said she was going to take a break from MN I think, but I haven't seen knitter for a while. Hope she's okay

Itsabear very pleased to hear that you have a sympathetic GP, that makes a big difference I think. Sorry the HCG is taking so long to decrease though.

Loup sorry you're out this month Sad

YRMOTB yay for viability (did I say that already?). I guess I must be there too now Smile. Hope all is still going okay?

Right must get on with the mountain of post-holiday washing, and stock the house with some food.

Waves to EdwardCullen, Velvet, Blackkat, MummyA, Caribou, Tigger and any other lurkers

Freezingmyarseoff · 23/09/2011 10:14

Oh AandR that's really difficult and frustrating. Izzy has said it already but it is very possible that you ov'd late. big hug for you and also will get out instructions for time machine to make this week go quickly.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 23/09/2011 09:48

Ok - deep breath. Sorry it wasn't more conclusively reassuring, but please do not despair. 5+4 is only 3 days out from 6 wks which is very possible if you ov'd slightly late or sperm hung around for a few days before fertilisation - you know that. Every single scan during this pg I've measured 2 days behind my lmp date - you could easily be the same. The good news is that there is something there and it's in the right place. This is a really good start.

I know that's easy to say and it doesn't stop you worrying, so please feel free to come on and mental as much as you need to. Hope this week passes quickly. Big ((((hugs)))) xxx

Velvetcu · 23/09/2011 09:48

fab news Ladym Grin

aandr sorry it's inconclusive and that you have to wait. How frustrating :(

AandRMum · 23/09/2011 08:33

Inconclusive Sad there is a sac and a yoke but no fetal pole yet so she says 5+4 not 6w although possibly the beginnings on one (less than 1mm) I need to go back next week.

Freezingmyarseoff · 22/09/2011 23:44

Sorry, I'm completely out of touch with everyone at the mo, but have been thinking of you all.
Just saw LadyM about scan. Grin for you

Will catch up in the next few days.

digitalgirl · 22/09/2011 23:25

Great news ladym! And ahead of dates too! That's got to be a good thing in my books. Better than too small.

Will be thinking positive scan vibes for you aandr tomorrow morning.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 22/09/2011 20:36

Great news ladymb and I'll be keeping everything crossed over the next week! Smile

aandr good luck for tomorrow, will lurk for news in the morning x

LadyMaybe · 22/09/2011 20:30

Best of luck AandR

I had another scan and bean is still alive in there. Am doing a minor mental because it was measuring quite a bit bigger than expected (19mm rather than 14) but the dr said margin of error can be up to 5days (=5mm) so wasn't concerned. And so I'm going to choose to believe her. I heard the heartbeat too, which was great but dr then asked about my history and had to say again that I'd lost the last two after seeing heartbeats, which was a bit upsetting. Hey ho, keep your fingers crossed for me this week ladies, this is my big milestone week coming up.

AandRMum · 22/09/2011 19:07

Oh hold the lurking - it is in the morning around 8am. Feeling icky and hungry at the same time and had a pimple on my nose, so fx something is happening in there ...

batteryhen · 22/09/2011 15:22

Lurking for scan news ......

digitalgirl · 22/09/2011 12:50

oh forgot to say good luck with nwe job tomboy

and hope you're not overworking mouse. 3 positive opks, the egg is surely on her way?

digitalgirl · 22/09/2011 12:49

Good luck with your scan AandR

Tina yes acupuncture can be expensive (especially as the one i go to is in central london) - but during TTC I only go once or twice a cycle to help bring on ovulation (and my cycles are long so it doesn't work out to be that many visits per month). Then once PG I'm now of the 'spare no expense' mindset (that's what 4 mc's does to you) so the fortnightly sessions till 12 weeks doesn't feel like that much in the long run if I get a baby at the end of it. My favourite way of justifying expensive treatment for ttc/pregnancy is to compare it to what you'd spend on a new car/holiday...but this is about creating a new life.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 22/09/2011 08:56

Good luck for scan AandR
