Roll up, roll up...

This is the place to be if you are ttc post mc / pregnancy loss and need a little spot to call home.

Tina my acupuncturist used to treat two people (in separate rooms!) at the same time. It worked better than you'd think; she would talk to me and get the acu going then leave me chilling while her other client arrived, come back to me while they were relaxing in a state of pincushion-ness. However the real bonus of the arrangement was that it was only £20 instead of £40. Are there any near you that might do this kind of deal? It made it a lot more affordable!

confu3ed · 28/09/2011 21:22

Hello ladies, could do with some company on my bumpy TTC ride after 2 RMC. Had a break from it all for about 8 months and now back on clomid and the roller coaster that is TTC! Any tips on staying sane would be much appreciated!

MissTinaTeaspoon · 28/09/2011 21:20

Good luck to you too for tomorrow AandR xxx

izzy thanks (again!) for the optimism but it's over for this month. Acupuncture tomorrow, I'm hoping I don't need weekly sessions because I cant afford it

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/09/2011 21:01

And Tina - I'm still hopeful. I always get spotting before a bfp Smile

LadyMaybe · 28/09/2011 21:00

1 AM for you Smile

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/09/2011 21:00

Good luck ladymb - got everything crossed for you!

aandr how are you doing? Hope the week's not dragging too much x

MissTinaTeaspoon · 28/09/2011 20:53

Good luck for scan lady. if it's 1pm for you what time is that here?

LadyMaybe · 28/09/2011 20:37

Hi my scan is at 1pm - and i'm truly bricking it. Symptoms changed recently, more hunger less quease, and I'm trying to steel myself for the 'I'm sorry'. Also, because I measured quite far ahead last time, iota going to be a bit tricky knowing whether development is ok - could grow only a mm or two and be fine for dates but I'll worry about slowing rate. Anyway, just got to suck it up and see what the result is. Fingers crossed.

AandRMum · 28/09/2011 15:01

Hi All - chin up LadyM at least you are heading into Summer. We are having a late spurt of pretend summer before we are plunged into darkness! Good luck for your scan tomorrow. What time is it?

Tina no helpful chart info from me but a tight squeeze as I know how horrible the scenarios can get in your mind. Hang in there - hopefully LadyMs theory holds up and if not then your af is suitably chastened and arrives pronto!

Impressive YRMOTB - we have numerous birthdays between now and Christmas - I never end up starting until mid Dec - which is not advisable!

Waves to all

MissTinaTeaspoon · 28/09/2011 15:00

Thanks yrmotb. I used to use opks but went onto charting to save money, I was spending a fortune! The spotting is getting a bit heavier so fx things are normalising! I'm so relieved that I don't even mind not being pregnant Hmm! And at least I can treat myself to some Wine Smile. Also my fanjo swabs from last week came back normal Smile

Youremindmeofthebabe · 28/09/2011 14:42

Hello!

tina How frustrating. I must admit that what ladybee said crossed my mind when I looked at your chart, and I know that my EWCM didn't always coincide with ov Have you tried the ov sticks? I might have some left over if you want to PM me your address.

izz how's DD? We did have a vomiting incident with DS and nearly had a day off school with him, but sent him in the end. No 48hr policy here, or certainly none I was aware of. However, apparently all of reception had a vomiting bug over the first 2 weeks, so maybe one should be in place!

All's well over here, lots of work to do, but obviously I am spending as much time as possible avoiding all work, and procrastinating. Really, I need to get my arse in gear. I've got so much on and have an assignment due 2 days after baby's due date which I should complete well before xmas to be on the safe side.

In other news I have started my Xmas shopping! Proud and disturbed by this fact..

Waves to all, twittwoo, ladym, aandr, loup, tomboy, freezing, battery, mouse collie and blackcat Also a huge squishy hug for lily ((0))

MissTinaTeaspoon · 28/09/2011 11:30

Ok, cb digis ordered off amazon. If that doesn't tempt af to come out of hiding nothing will!

MissTinaTeaspoon · 28/09/2011 11:06

Thanks lady, collie and loup. I just don't know what to think really! I'll go to the gp on Monday if things aren't clearer, and maybe retest in a few days.

Hope you manage to get some rest lady and have a good evening loup Wink

LadyMaybe · 28/09/2011 10:49

Hmm, ok I've had a look at your chart and I think it's possible you didn't actually ovulate until day 17. I know the temps look clear by that's the last day you have ewcm, and the day before your cervix changed. That also puts your peak post-o temp at 7dpo which would tally with peak progesterone, and would put you at 14dpo now. I really hope that climb back up continues and you get your bfp. Shouldn't be long now missTina, chin up.

Hi lily hope these next few weeks go easy for you as you wait for the appt to arrive.

Sorry for a short one today feeling a bit pathetic and wishy-washy and just want to hide under covers.

Loup23 · 28/09/2011 10:06

Have been AWOL for a while and trying to catch up but checking in to see how tina is getting on - any news? I have mid cycle spotting and am v prone to spotting during 2ww but the month I got BFP (feb) my chart looked liked yours so I'm holding out hope......

Waves to all others - CD9 here and getting high readings on my monitor already, so frustrating Angry

CollieandPup · 28/09/2011 08:14

Xposts Tina. Its so easy to think the worst, even though they are such unlikely possibilities. Especially when you've had your share of disappointment and raised hopes. The spotting doesn't mean you're out at all, and can be a good sign, but I know its not the first time you've had it. I'd convinced myself that my pg was ectopic when I got my bfp, it just seems easy to to think that, than that it might actually go right, which is logically the most likely senario

X

MissTinaTeaspoon · 28/09/2011 08:13

They were superdrug sensitive tests (meant to be as good as fr). I never thought I would actually wish for my period whilst tcc!

CollieandPup · 28/09/2011 08:08

Tina looks promising!! And CD 32 too!!! Rubbish for bfn yesterday though, what did you use? Any other symptoms?

nice to hear from you

Hope all our newly updiffed people are not metalling too much doing ok!

Lots of good news on the grads thread recently from some old post mc ttc thread people, incase some of you would like to know but don't lurk. Smile

MissTinaTeaspoon · 28/09/2011 08:05

I'm worried izzy, not optimistic. I'm generally a worrier so I'm trying to rationalise it but I'm going around in circles thinking what if it's an ep or I'm going into a premature menopause or something? Combined with the mid cycle spotting it seems bad to me Sad

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 28/09/2011 07:17

twittwoo don't be daft it's lovely to hear such good news Smile. Hope you're ok about the interview? Sounds like a tricky situation..

Oooh Tina this sounds very promising

MissTinaTeaspoon · 28/09/2011 07:14

Okay...what's going on? My temperature went up this morning. Where is my period? Chart Ovulation Chart here Help!

Twittwooo · 27/09/2011 16:16

It's lovely to meet everyone, and thanks for the welcomes - I feel a bit silly to have made what people think it such a dramatic entrance! I look forward to getting to know all you ladies on this lovely thread.

I've just cancelled the interview. I'm pathetically honest and was getting so stressed out about what to do if I were to be offered the job that I felt this was the best solution. I'm no longer feeling stressed so hopefully I've done the right thing! Who knows ..

I hope everyone is looking after themselves and feeling happy on this beautifully sunny day! x

Blackkat · 27/09/2011 14:13

Just delurking to give a massive wave and ((hug)) to Lily lovely to hear from you x

to everyone else with a big thanks to lady for such a lovely list

Freezingmyarseoff · 27/09/2011 13:55

ha ha Izzy at not tellling the school about your DD being sick, but not laughing at your DD being poorly. Our DD is also a bit poorly. She woke up this morning croaking "medicine, medicine" as obviously calpol is delicious. Anyway we went down for breakfast and she immediately got on her little bike and started riding round the kitchen - so very ill Hmm

Tina, I'm just looking in my chest of drawers for the suspenders.

Twitwoo congrats on the BFP and welcome. And if it's not too late, I would say go for the interview and see what happens before making any decisions about what to say when. FWIW, I went for an interview when I was 4 months pregnant with DD (but not showing). I ummed and arhed about whether to tell them. In the end I told them at my second interview because I felt it was the right thing to do. My interviewer said I didn't need to tell him then, and I didn't get the job. The reasons they gave were a bit strange TBH and I think it was because they knew I was pregnant although that could never be proved. I regret telling them at that stage. Who knows maybe I wouldn't have got the job anyway, but I'm pretty sure that you don't have to tell them until you are offered a job.

Smiley welcome, and I'm very sorry you're here.

Lily how lovely to hear from you. Lurk away please. And have some Thanks too. I like this new emoticon

LadyM and AandR here have some earplugs to help with blocking everything out.

Tomboy how's the job? Sounds like your colleagues will be understanding - that's good.

Battery how is the packing going?

Sorry I haven't caught up with everyone but waves to you all digital, loup, mouse, velvet, edwardcullen, MummyA, itsabear and anyone I've missed (sorry if I have)

MissTinaTeaspoon · 27/09/2011 13:42

I don't think I am izzy Sad. I'm 16 dpo now so it should show up by now Sad. I'm worried that my hormones are totally messed up.
