MissTina ooh excited that you had your first session too. I totally and utterly could not relax. It felt so weird. Oh and I cried and cried so much that she kept having to wipe my tears. Mine said to go back weekly but I can only really stretch to fortnightly at the moment. I also now have a seed stuck to my ear to help my anxiety...I have to press it hard 20 times whenever I feel stressed or anxious. Which is quite frankly quite a lot at the moment!

mousebacon · 29/09/2011 21:55

Ah bugger! I'll go and find it again...

mouse I can't get that link to work to stalk you!

itsabear I had my first acupuncture this morning, and yes it hurt! One of the points on my foot hurt for ages afterwards too, but luckily I didn't have a forehead one (which I was worried about Blush). She told me that I've got 'depleted blood' from the mc and recommended that I take some floridex, so I started that today too. I need to go back fortnightly. She told me that she's had mcs herself so she seemed very understanding.

Well, my period is still odd! Really thin and brown, I'm thinking that perhaps I didn't ovulate or my oestrogen is low which caused the spotting? I just hope I'm back to normal for this month!

Hellooooo!!!!

First things first and massive congrats to the very lovely, lady that's great news Grin

Good luck for tomorrow AandR I'll be thinking of you x

Hello digi hope you are well - I did indeed lay an egg. I think we managed SWI at the right time but not feeling positive 1 week into the 2ww.

Have felt a little wobbly over the last week or so as it's a year since the first mc this week and I feel like I really should be pg by now...

Anyway, I'll try and share my chart on here so any stalker types can have a look-see Smile

Welcome newbies, it's a lovely place to be.

Waves to all xx

LadyM amazing news - love that there was a little wriggle! May the wriggling continue!

Thanks AandR - I like that thought...looking forward to the good karma! I'm sure your good karma will come at your scan tomorrow.

Digi sorry you're feeling a bit grotty now. This heat is incredible isn't it?

I had another positive pregnancy test today (I'm 4+1 weeks past medical management). I'm booked in at the EPU on Monday for a scan. It actually sent me over the edge and I spent the day crying at my desk then decided to take the plunge and book some acupuncture. I'm not sure how it went - she said I was extremely anxious and tense (erm, well, yes) and I was in fact so tense that the needle fell out of my forehead! Apparently that has never happened before. She thinks I will start to relax after a few sessions...I hope so. My thumb really hurt afterwards - is that normal? She recommended waiting a few months for my body to return to normal before TTC again but I can't bear the thought of that. As my boss (rather inappropriately!) said 'I just need to get back on the horse like Robert the Bruce(!). Nice imagery.

TomboyWife · 29/09/2011 20:03

Hooray LadyM! Fabulous news! Grin

AndR I've got everything crossed for you for tomorrow.

Hmm, pre-ovulation anger? I've never heard of that before. I was actually referring to post-ovulation anger, which was my first pregnancy symptom. (My word, but I was angry. Much angrier than yesterday actually, so never mind about the symptom spotting.)

AandRMum · 29/09/2011 11:40

Oops just realised I missed a page Welcome confu3ed - 36 is a spring chicken!! I am heading out of that number in a couple of months and have suddenly become quite fond of the age - 37 seems far too close to 40! I gather you are aware of Pre-seed. I haven't used it myself as I almost have it too extreme in the other direction (TMI) but from the different forums it is hailed as a wonder cream!?

Freezingmyarseoff · 29/09/2011 08:35

Grin for LadyM that is VERY good news, so so pleased for you. Grin

confu3ed · 29/09/2011 08:30

Thank you TomBoy, I never get any CM which confuses the hell out of me as that is supposed to be the best OV sign!
Hello Freezing, hope you feel better today :)

Hello itsabear and so sorry you have had such a hard time recently.

Hello Digi and big congratulations, how far along are you? Been off line for a while trying to forget about TTC. But it is now time again as 36 is looming and I am aware that time is running out!

Great news Lady!!

AandRMum · 29/09/2011 07:53

Oh fab news LadyM so pleased - and glad you are getting some good care. I am bricking it over tomorrow - I have been feeling pretty rotten so if this is a blighted ovum I am going to be one cross vegemite!

Itsa it appears to go that way - one shit thing happens and then life decides to completely dump on you - as a lovely Lady said to me after I finished detailing my 3 mcs, 2 cancer scares, contract cancellation and planning permission woes of the last year 'You certainly have a load of good karma in store for you then' - oddly enough I find this thought very comforting!

Digi I am a bit worried about explaining away the bump too as I tend to balloon blossom before 12 weeks. I haven't told a soul, which is so unlike me but telling people would make it real (as if throwing up in the loo at work yesterday didn't)

Sorry everything is going wrong for you at the moment bear, things can only get better!

I'm counting today as cd2 although things are lighter than normal.

Woo-hooo!!!! Fab news lady !!!!! Grin Grin Grin (not the sick, obviously!)

LadyMaybe · 29/09/2011 04:06

Hi - good news from my scan, thank goodness! Last week I was 7+4 by dates, but measured 8+2, this week I measure 9+2 and we got a little wriggle. I'm really pleased, not out of the woods yet but it's the best progress I've made. Got home after doing a grocery shop (typical pg women's basket - fizzy water, crackers, salt&vinegar crisps, fruit, no meat - and threw up after the stress of it all. Dr and the nurse were so lovely though, they seemed genuinely happy to see that it had gone well and were laughing at the little wriggles. Nice. Got to snooze now, but will come back later and catch up with everyone else's news, been v mememe last few days.

digitalgirl · 28/09/2011 22:58

ladym this is the milestone scan right? Remember, new country, new rules - only good things are allowed to happen. Very best of luck, have everything crossed for you. Will check first thing to see how it went.

itsabear sounds like you've had a lot on your plate, but good news that all your tests came back clear. There are other tests you can do but you would have to be referred to a specialist who tests for immunological issues (or see one privately). Chances are your next pg will be fine - you've had a lot more tests than a lot of women have after 2 mc's, so at least you know you've ticked those boxes.

Welcome smiley sorry for your loss, hope your cycles get back to normal soon. Although as others have said you may not ovulate in the first cycle after your mc - so don't worry too much if the opk's don't show a positive for a while.

Tina those prices are similar to what I pay - but I go to Harley St (friend recommended) so I expect them to be higher. Hope it does the trick for you. Sorry you're out this month.

confu3ed welcome, I remember you from the recurrent buns thread.

tomboy ah yes the pre-ov anger. Nature has a funny way of letting us know it's time to have sex! Happy seducing!

I'm beginning to feel a bit rough this week (think it's the heat) and I'm eating my way through it. As a result I now look about 6 months pregnant, which is generating some funny looks from my colleagues who I haven't told but who have probably guessed.

itsabear · 28/09/2011 22:12

I've been away from the board for a while as have had a series of catastrophes...in a nutshell: back to work, leaking radiator in spare room, broken boiler, brother in bike accident. With 2mcs to boot it is definitely our annus horribilis! First full day at work today followed late finish due to event and then 2 hours to settle DD who decided she would not go to sleep. Ugh.

Good luck for your scans LadyMaybe and AandR.

Sorry you're out Tina. Let us know how the acu goes. I've just contacted an acupuncturist local to me who specialises in fertility acu...£50 first session than £40 after that. She recommends weekly....(quickly remortgages house).

Congrats Twittoo. That's fantastic news. I can see why you would cancel the interview. You had every right not to cancel - people do it all the time - but if you are the kind of person who ends up feeling v guilty it wouldn't be worth it.

Welcome to the newbies. Sorry you've had to go through such a horrible thing. I'm not sure sanity is an option confu3ed...

It's 4 weeks today since I had the medical management and I still haven't had a negative test. Will test tomorrow and ring EPU and demand a scan if still positive. Have been having a lot of cramps and am stressing out that this means there is something left. Hopefully it's just AF and my body getting back to normal.

Whinge alert.....2 mcs in 4 months has left me feeling so fat. I was going to the gym loads before and then had to take 6 weeks off with the last mc. I suppose it's oestrogen plus some serious wholenut consumption when comfort eating. It's adding to my general bad mood. Whinge over!

My blood test results came back normal today. I think they tested me for all vits, full blood count etc plus lupus and the blood clotting thing? Or are they the same? Feel very ignorant for not knowing exactly. However, it's all fine so I guess I just have to go with the 'unlucky' reasoning.

Hi to everyone I've missed. x

Freezingmyarseoff · 28/09/2011 22:02

Tina sorry you're out this month, but glad that you relieved that your body is working properly. Shock at the acupuncture prices. Don't know what to suggest as I don't know much about acupuncture. Could you ask for a discount?

LadyM Really wishing you all the best for your scan.

YRMOTB you're freaking me out abit at your organisation Grin

Welcome Confu3ed sorry you're here.

I think I've finally succumbed to DD's cold so I'm off to bed to try and beat it. night all

TomboyWife · 28/09/2011 21:52

Evening ladies!

Fx for good scan news LadyMaybe and (I think?) AandR. Try not to brick it too much.

And welcome to confu3ed, it's a very friendly thread.

Tina sorry you're out for the month. Sad

So, I guess I should be ov'ing round about now, but the CM hasn't been terribly clear and I've been so distracted with other stuff I've lost count of my CD. But I've just had a right pop at DH over something that was annoying but not all that annoying. That was the absolute first symptom last time round... Hmm

confu3ed · 28/09/2011 21:46

Thank you MissTina, armchair all ready! x

MissTinaTeaspoon · 28/09/2011 21:36

My session is £65! It was recommended to me though so that's why I chose them. The following sessions are £48. Sounds like you got a bargain izzy.

Welcome to confused, pull up a chair and get comfy x

confu3ed · 28/09/2011 21:28

Thanks IzzyWizzy. I have heard great things about acupuncture and £20 is amazing!
