mouse I had to go in for a blood test at 5 weeks, they offered me a scan then and there - I said no thanks I'll have one in 3 weeks. I only booked it because I was there. Was very scary booking that first scan.

confu3ed · 04/10/2011 21:22

That is great news Knitter :)

Thanks Digi!!

mousebacon · 04/10/2011 19:22

Yay! knitter that's fab news!

Can I ask the preggos a question please? How (and when) did you work up the courage to book that first scan? I got as far as the consultant's switchboard today before I hung up...Blush

Waves to all xx

Woo-hoo knitter - fabulous news!!! Grin Grin Grin

Tina hope things resolve soon, it is no fun not knowing what's going on Sad

digitalgirl · 04/10/2011 12:21

yay knitter!!!

Tina - hoping the acupuncture will sort out weird cycle. After my first course I had the strangest AF - bled light brown for five days, absolutely no cramping. Turned out he'd stimulated an anovulatory bleed as I'd got to day 36 with no ovulation.

confu3ed hope you're wrong about AF.

Fingers crossed for tomboy too.

KnitterNotTwitter · 04/10/2011 10:48

Well it's good news from us. Bean is in the right place, with a heartbeat and CRL 6.5mm so about a day or two behind on my dates. So relieved. The next step for us will be self-referring for a CVS at 11 weeks given our history of Downs... So the worry isn't over yet but we must stay positive :-)

Tina I didn't know I was pg when I had my ectopic - not until after the tube had ruptured. I'd had a light period and assumed that it was just because I was returning to my cycle after BFing. After tube ruptured I was in a lot of pain so went to Doctor - they gave me PG test (+ve) and sent me home with some anti-biotics... I was blue lights to hospital and emergency surgery hours later... But it sounds like that's not a risk for you if you're coming up -ve...

LadyMaybe · 04/10/2011 09:44

Ooh, knitter hellooooo! and how wonderful! Congratulations I hope the scan goes beautifully. How exciting!!!

MissTinaTeaspoon · 04/10/2011 07:37

knitter I was worried about that but even a test at 17 dpo was negative, and my chart isn't a pregnant one. Did you have a positive test with your ep? Good luck for today x

Big for mummya

lily06 · 03/10/2011 22:57

Knitter that's fab news, will be checking back tomorrow for your news. Smile

confu3ed · 03/10/2011 21:21

So sorry AndR. Let's hope that it is just too soon to tell.

Hello Smiley!

Big time congratulations Mouse & Knitter :)

Fingers crossed Tomboy

I am sure AF is about to rear its ugly head, had awful night sweats last night and craving chocolate... they are always signs. I guess it was a bit optimistic to think that the Clomid would work first month especially as we missed a few days. Oh well maybe next month!

Waves to everyone else :)

KnitterNotTwitter · 03/10/2011 20:57

Tina please don't let me put the frightners on you but when I had my ectopic I had a weird short period... Sort of my body not sure whether it was PG or not because it was in the wrong place. do a test after your period finishes to check would be my advice...

mousebacon · 03/10/2011 20:55

Helllloooooo!!!!! So good to see you here mummya

TomboyWife · 03/10/2011 19:35

Congrats knitter! Smile Best of luck for tomorrow!

Tina I've had several cycles that I suspect were 'near misses' like you describe. IIRC a fertilised egg only has about a 50% chance of implanting successfully, so it may be just one of those things. I know that's not very comforting... Sad

Me, I'm on day 21 or so and I've been feeling faintly sick from time to time. If this is a pregnancy I'll be rather bemused as morning sickness was pretty much the only symptom I didn't get last time round. (And I thought it wasn't meant to start until about 6 weeks anyway.)

mousebacon · 03/10/2011 19:31

Ooh, hi pv Grin thank you x

Yay Knitter thats just fantasic news, congratulations. Good luck for your scan tomorrow.

((hugs)) for Tina, this month has your name written all over it.

MissTinaTeaspoon · 03/10/2011 16:02

Congratulations knitter Grin Good luck with the scan, keep us posted!

AandR, could you go somewhere different for a follow up scan maybe? To get a different opinion?

My very odd period appears to have been shorter than normal...it was really painful for days and just seemed abnormal. I'm wondering if an egg got fertilised and never produced enough hcg to give me a positive test or maintain a pregnancy. Obviously I've got no 'proof' so no justification for asking for any investigations. I guess it's time to get going again for the month. I'm worn out though! Why is it taking so b**y long?! Sad Angry

digitalgirl · 03/10/2011 15:41

how lovely! congratulations knitter good luck with your scan tomorrow! Completely understand you needing a break...we're here to hold your hand as and when.

AandR I think the NHS waiting list might have been about 4-6 months for some of the ladies on the ttc/pg with pred thread, which depending on how you feel about resuming ttc may be enough time to have a break. I'm still with the others on wondering why the sonographer seems to be jumping to conclusion. If it helps get you out of limbo I would definitely push for another scan this week rather than waiting till next week.
