olives loving your style...makeup binges are great therapy...go you!

GreenOlives · 26/10/2011 18:47

Great scan news wiggle! And glad you had a doppler fix Digital Smile

Tina I think your plan sounds great, I always have to have a "new" thing to try each cycle just to make me feel like I am doing something postive (new supplement, lubricant, acupuncture etc) I found charting quite stressful although I only tried it for a month. Maybe just pure & simple DTD regularly will do the trick for you, I really hope it does!

Sad for BFN Tomboy

I decided that retail therapy was what I needed today so I have spent an extortionate amount on make-up, had a leisurely lunch with the girls and had HD eyebrows done which have totally transformed my face! Have completely worn myself out though so I am now slobbing on the sofa in my trackie bottoms! It's my birthday on Saturday and I have decided to go ahead with all my planned celebrations as I want to try and stay upbeat and get everything back to "normal" asap! Will be going easy on the alcohol though as I can't cope with a hangover on top of everything else!

Waves to all.

TomboyWife · 26/10/2011 17:51

wiggle and Twittwoo great news on positive scans! You must be very relieved.

Tina it really isn't fair, is it, that some people fill their houses with babies without even trying. So many of my friends are on their second child when we've spent the last two years trying fruitlessly to have even one.

I've just had a look on the stats thread and I'm on CD42 or something ridiculous like that. I'm still feeling weirdly and vaguely unwell, but I've just had yet another BFN, so it's not up-the-duff unwellness. I'm guessing this is an anovulatory cycle that's dragging on especially long because of the mc. Grrr... [hangry]

ceropegia · 26/10/2011 17:02

Oooh and I missed digitalgirl! so thrilled for you listening to that little bean swimming around x

ceropegia · 26/10/2011 16:49

Lady good luck with those results!

Twittwoo That's lovely news about the scan and heartbeat...nothing can match that!

Wiggle How was the scan today?

Tina I LOVE your plan (mostly because it's kind of the same as my plan!). You're right - it's great to HAVE one.

Feeling really positive today as I've finished a big piece of work. Husband, on the other hand, has been having a rotten time of it (sleeping badly and huge workload) so I feel like I need to be more nurturing.

IzzyWizzyletsgetbusy · 26/10/2011 16:29

Yay!!! for miniwiggle !!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

getawiggleon · 26/10/2011 15:47

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. One little bean measuring 4.3mm with a strong heartbeat Grin Took a while to find hb but I guess that's normal at this stage when it's so tiny and the scanning equipment is ancient!

digitalgirl · 26/10/2011 15:30

wiggle hope scan went well this morning.

TinaOnHerBroomstick · 26/10/2011 10:06

Good luck for wiggle and Grins for digi and twitwoo for good scan/Doppler news!

After a really down day yesterday (imminent period days are always down days anyway and the pregnancy news and talk at work just made that 100 times worse) I feel a bit better today (emotionally anyway, I've got a stinking cold Angry). I spoke to my friend, she is pregnant, and having her dating scan this afternoon. She hadn't actually told anyone, not even her parents or other children, the person who told me had guessed. I don't feel at all angry with her, it just feels so unfair that she's on baby no 4, when she was using contraception, and I can't even seem to manage no 2 Sad. I've got a plan of action though (I always have this need for one when af arrives to get me through it I suppose and give me some illusion of control. I'm going to stop charting, and have unprotected sex every few days until a bfp, and if that hasn't happened by February (a year since my mc, and 20 odd months since we started trying) we'll go back to the fertility clinic and request a hycosy and/or saline scan to check my bits. Provided that's all ok I'd consider iui, but I'll stop there, no ivf. I couldn't put us through the stress and expense of it when we've already got dd. Phew! If you got through that thanks!

Great news on the scan Twittwoo ! And the doppler digi , that must have been nice Smile

Sad for yesterday's due date knitter , hope you feel a bit better today.

wiggle good luck for tomorrow, doesn't sound like the most appealing place! I hope it goes well Smile

waves to everyone Smile

KnitterNotTwitter · 25/10/2011 22:19

Should have said thank you to all of you that said nice things about my DD yesterday. It was a weird day - and I couldn't help thinking what might have been. But I also know that we made the right decision to terminate. So many mixed feelings.

(((hugs))) to all

lily06 · 25/10/2011 21:53

Hope you got through yesterday ok knitter

Wiggle good luck for tomorrow

Great to hear your good scan news Twittwooo

Sorry to hear about af Tina

KnitterNotTwitter · 25/10/2011 21:35

Lovely scan news twitt

All the best for tomorrow wiggle

getawiggleon · 25/10/2011 21:26

Hugs to Tina for af and pregnancy rumours, like Digi, new pg announcements still get me too, even when I am updiffed.

Hugs too for knitter and yesterday's dd. Sad

Hurray Twittwoo for great scan and to Digi for dopplerage action.

I have my scan at 11am tomorrow. Don't feel pg in slightest and think the mild nausea is all in my head. Ho hum. The clinic where I'm being scanned is super busy too, it's kind of a pants off as soon as you walk in, waggle around with the wand, look at fuzzy picture on screen and pants on again sort of a place. I'm not sure it would be the best environment to receive any bad news. [hconfused]

digitalgirl · 25/10/2011 19:27

Excellent twittwoo! Such a relief to know everythings growing as it should. When's your next scan?

mouse good luck for Thursday!

Tina Sad sorry to hear af's on it's way - and shite timing on the pregnancy rumour. I still feel odd when I hear of other people's pregnancies, even now.

And sorry to hear of the sadness of due dates. My last one was a few weeks ago but I didn't remember till the end of the day - so many of them now. Sad

For today all's well here. Saw an AN doc today to assess whether I needed extra appointments but other than a gtt at 26 weeks, all as normal. Got a listen on the doppler and baby was swimming around in and out of range so that was nice.

GreenOlives · 25/10/2011 19:10

Grin great scan news Twittwooo

Twittwooo · 25/10/2011 18:28

Hi everyone, just a quick post to say that I had my scan today and everything's looking as it should so I'm really pleased and somewhat relieved. The little one is measuring 20mm and I saw the heartbeat flickering away. The sonographer gave me a due date which is 2 days earlier than the one I was given previously - of course it will ultimately depend on later scans but I'm hoping this is a good sign. According to her I am 8+4 at the moment. I'm still not completely relaxed as you will all understand, but I'm happy.

Mouse - glad you're feeling a bit better and good luck for tomorrow.
Tina - sorry to hear it wasn't your month, fingers crossed for next time and I hope you're feeling okay.
ceropegia - I hope you're feeling a bit better, but crying can be very therapeutic and there's no shame it it at all.

Hello to everyone else. x

GreenOlives · 25/10/2011 17:14

P.s Any scan news Twittwoo?

GreenOlives · 25/10/2011 17:02

Knitter Thanks so much for all the info on the supplements. I had been taking Tesco preconception vits and the cycle that I conceived the ectopic I had added Vit D3 as well as being sucked into the bloody expensive Manuka honey conspiracy! But who knows - maybe it worked, it just wasn't in the right place! I had some acupuncture for 3 months over the summer and she got me to temp for a month, I used FF to chart it. I was rubbish at remembering to do it before getting up/talking etc, but it did show a temp shift. I think I'm quite lucky in being able to track my ovulation just by symptoms, I get pain and lots of EWCM and temping/ov sticks just confirmed that ov was happening when I thought it was IYSWIM. Shock at the knitter patented SWI method, I thought I was being dedicated with once a day! I totally get the whole "challenge" thing though - it is nice to have control over one part of this bloody difficult process! Do you know exactly what they test for RMC? I'm not sure my local hospital is very dynamic so I'd like to have some idea of what to ask for as I'm not sure they'd know! Sad for due date, hope you had some RL big hugs.

Collie Yay for mat leave!

YRMOTB Grin 8.13, how lovely!

Ceropegia Sad I think a good cry is really helpful - but I'm glad you're feeling a bit brighter today, I have everything crossed for you for this month(including my legs at the moment, no SWI for me until everything settles down!)

Tina Sad for the witch's arrival. I'm not sure if hycosy is the same as an HSG? I had an HSG done the cycle before the ectopic, I'm not sure if it helped me conceive but there seem to be a lot of stories about people conceiving straight after having one so there may be something in it. It was an uncomfortable procedure but over and done with very quick.

Tomboy Test! How late are you?

LadyM Thanks, I've been drinking peppermint tea and popping Wind-Eze which is helping loads, thank god! Good luck for scan results on Thursday.

Mouse Glad you are feeling a little better. I was horrified to realise that I am also that friend, I have had 2 close friends get pregnant recently and both of them had discussions with other mutual friends about the best way to break the news to poor old subfertile me! I was over the moon for both of them and cried lots on DHs shoulder about the unfairness of it all

Waves to everyone else

ceropegia · 25/10/2011 13:08

Thank you ladies for being so kind - feeling so much better today, and mostly because I read this thread and know that people here understand.

Knitter yesterday was a difficult day for you - I hope you had a peaceful time and it wasn't too hard to bear.

Tina I feel for you so much. One of the most challenging things is to concentrate on your own stuff and not get rattled by what other people are doing....I find it SO difficult. Big hugs to you - it sounds tough.

Mouse so glad sickness is waning a little :)

So I guess there are a few of us trying again this next cycle. I'm going to try and have as much fun as possible (knitter!) and not think about ttc. No ovulation pee sticks and I'm going to try and turn all that energy I waste worrying about ttc into enjoying myself. Positive mental attitude (and all that).
Next AF due 15th Nov and I am crossing my fingers and toes (but not my legs!)
x

edwardcullensotherwerewolf · 25/10/2011 12:10

Hi ladies

Tina how are you feeling today? Sorry AF is on the way Sad Fx for next month.

Glad you're feeling a bit better mouse . Still feeling pukey is a good thing! But glad you're able to function again Smile

waves to everyone!

mousebacon · 25/10/2011 09:19

Hi ladies, thanks for the kindness re sickness. I seem to have turned a corner yesterday. Still feeling pukey but it's not the overwhelming, can't get off the sofa sickness that it was. Obviously that's good in one way but making me panic in another. Scan at 11 on thurs so just trying to stay calm ha until then.

tina so sorry for AF. I too had a close friend who knew I was trying (and failing) to conceive but kept quiet that she was too. Then I heard from other friends that she was pg and I felt awful that I'd become that friend that people feel it's hard to share their news with Sad I really hope you get your bfp soon xx

Waves to loup izzy lady knitter collie green and all xx
