NinjaChipmunk · 24/08/2011 09:33

well done yacka! How many bfp's are we up to now?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 24/08/2011 09:30

Congratulations Yacka!!! Well done!!! You only joined last Friday right? That is extremely efficient Brooking No Argument!!

Congrats again!! Great news!!!

Yacka · 24/08/2011 09:17

Hi all :) since I decided to join u things have been a bit chaotic in our house.......
So wanted to share...BFP!!!!!!! This thread needs to start charging for there super up diff powers haha. Still in shock as never ended up using the clomid and only took a test to confirm I was NOT preggo so I cud take the norethisterone.
I think all infertility groups shud sign up to the pom pom brooking no argument idea.
Tho before I get carried away its still early, so not counting chickens yet. Only a few close rl family know. But wanted to give all the lovely mn peeps hope that after a year of tryin the ironic bfp can still happen Xxxxxx

Wants3 · 24/08/2011 09:15

Morning ladies, looks around for one of those doughnut cushions to sit on
still sore and bleeding this morning, just had cuddling WI last night, has anyone been told b Dr Google that this is just as effective as proper SWI!?
chipmunk I came off the pill in July and AF was on 16 th Aug so this is first real trying month:)

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 24/08/2011 09:03

Imps that sounds very promising! Implantation usually happens between 6 and 12 DPO, so I don't think it would be that big a stretch for it to happen at 5 DPO. Also, are you 100% certain of your ov date? Even if you were just 12 hours earlier than you thought that could slip you over into 6 DPO last night! Very exciting!

Either way, given your glowing skin and effortless serenity its clear that you are completely updiffed!

Golden it sounds like you have some excellent rat smacking ahead of you! Enjoy!

Ims that sounds pre-implantation bleed-tastic to me

music all varieties of caramel shortbread are cool with me. I am having a few friends over for dinner tonight and will be making brownies. I will make sure I pu a plateful aside for you gorgeous ladies.

Biscuits thanks for the visit. They do say it's catching you know :)

So it's cd 7, my pregnacare pill has been popped, the preseed has been ordered and my DH is home tonight. There is definitely more SWI on the menu. I have decided to do it every other day this week and every day next. They say that the definition of stupidity is to continue doing the same thing while expecting different results so in the spirit of shaking things up I am putting this ttc business into overdrive. Just for fun you understand ... with my glowing complexio their really is no need :)

What do we want? POSITIVE PEE STICKS. When do we want them? NOW!

musicalmrs · 24/08/2011 08:01

Morning SWI-ers!

I'm feeling oddly calm this morning. After days of manic symptom checking, and going a little crazy, I feel like everything's right with the world. Hoping this is a good sign!

Imps - if it's not an implantation bleed then it's clearly a pre-implantation bleed because you're clearly updiffed..!

Wants - Glad it's made it more exciting! Thinking I might tell my best friend soon - she'll be just as excited as I am! Will have to tell her about this magical thread too, obviously!

I'll be baking later if I successfully tackle my to do list - marbled caramel shortbread is on the menu today!

Biscuitsandtea · 24/08/2011 07:36

Morning preggos, just popping in to remind myself which ones of you were pee stick endorsed and to remind you of the ante natal thread Smile.

All visitors welcome whether pee stick endorsed or just wanting some PSEP vibes to enjoy.

Sorry I've not been on here - sis is visiting so no MNing time Sad

Be back next week though :)

Imps7 · 24/08/2011 07:03

Morning preggos hope you're all okay today.

Wants it is nice to share with someone in RL. I plucked up the courage to tell my best mate a few weeks ago - I know that she's TTC at the moment as well (she had a MMC 2 months ago) so I thought that it would be good moral support. Feels very weird to say it out loud to someone, but she was great.

Dream your DD sounds very cute - I LOVE the just-starting-to-walk phase - the looks of concentration followed by pride are great!

Well 6 DPO today. Now, I don't want you all to get too excited but last night before bed I wiped away some brown CM. Of course, whilst I am BROOKING NO ARGUMENT that this is an implantation bleed, I do have in mind the following two facts:

  1. I was only 5 DPO yesterday which is far too early for implantation;
  2. OH and I had a nice shag yesterday morning but I felt him hit my cervix on a couple of occasions (TMI) so in all likelihood it's just a little bleed from that.

However, I am always willing to welcome fake exciting new symptoms with open arms so this is indeed one to obsess about for the next week!

So, anyone got any exciting plans for today? Any baking being done?

NinjaChipmunk · 23/08/2011 21:26

aw wants thats really sweet. Its nice to be able to tell someone I think, it feels like a weight off and is a chance to be outwardly excited. How long have you been trying pregnant awaiting the right pee stick for?

Wants3 · 23/08/2011 20:13

notebook thanks for your buddy sympathy, and everyone else. Hot bath is running as I speak( finally got around to it). I actually told my deputy today that we are TTC and she is really excited so it is feeling more real already!

dreamfeeder · 23/08/2011 19:15

Lovely, i'll pass them on to your solars Smile. Though if anything like last time, i'll be thinner by 14 weeks... But of course it won't be, as this time i am Brooking No Argument about morning sickness, none at all. I had enough embarrasing puking-in-public and puking-in-general incidents that I feel I have done my share for this pregnancy, and indeed any more in the future. And anyway, isn't it your ironic BFP this month? You won't get much wear at all out of them either.

Solars · 23/08/2011 18:24

Oooo Dream I think the size 8 jeans will surely make the pg stay and once you don't need them please pass them onto me so I can pass them onto someone else when I don't need them either, they sound lovely!

I think I will definitely be investing in pre-seed next month if I am unsuccessful this month.

dreamfeeder · 23/08/2011 18:04

oh, golden- i think pre-seed really is just expensive lube. It's meant to mimic ewcm consistency and promote sperm motility. something like that. so you squirt it up so its in right place and it eases those swimmers through. who knows, but worked for meconium and me on first month! However, jaggy didn't need it!!

dreamfeeder · 23/08/2011 18:01

oooh, imps you may have solved my radiator disaster! Howver, it's a silly low radiator under a window (all the radiators in our new house bar one are under windows- why?? surely thats the worst place?? For heat loss and no full length curtains or you freeze. Gah) so will get tape measure out and check dimensions Smile

Bartlet DH did tell me about a BMJ article (maybe anyway) about dark choc being linked to a laid back baby (having written that it sounds so ridiculous it can't have been can it?!) when i was pg with DD. I also query whether he is a 'real' doctor Wink. Howver I think medicine's a small world-doctors all seem to know each other somehow (round here certainly) and even when on hol, in Jan, in a tiny village in Scotland, when we ended up at GP with my intractable vomiting, while I continued to lose my breakfast in the surgery toilet DH realised he worked with this doctor's uni lab dissection partner and by the time i got back they were happily chatting about friends of friends and the Lyme disease spread via the deer round there. While I suffered. Humph.

Today, I have finally had a breakthrough with the practice I have been doing on Operation Get About By Yourself (DD can walk, yes, kind of, if 30 odd steps count, and go anywhere holding 1 finger, but pull up to stand? no. Crawl? no. Bum shuffle? no. I've had her practicing getting up for a week or so now) and today she got up on me. Phew. Cue further training. I will avoid the hunchback status! i WILL!!!

Sorry to hear you've been manhandled wants, hope you feel better soon and can manage some swi.
You'll be confirming this month maybe, you won't be too far behind your pregnant friend.

scream, isn't it amazing how many pg people you spot when you want to be/are pg?!?

Anyway, i realise this is a rather self-obsessed post and i've missed loads of people, but i'm rushing before DH comes home and DD's grandpa goes so i have to get back to the hunchback position/childcare. (who incidentally i have accidentally told i'm pg today, my dad is delighted, that better not have jinxed me). I also bought size 8 jean cut-off type shorts (knee length, nothing frightening and hot-pant like you understand). SURELY that will make me stay pg so i get minimal wear out of them, yes?

maybebabyR · 23/08/2011 17:56

Good point Solars who is showing those pee sticks who's boss? I have a feeling Baby and Imps will be soon?

I am sure she will be delighted Scream How exciting telling people Smile

MyGoldenNotebook · 23/08/2011 17:56

wants I am shocked and appalled by the treatment that you received today! How dare someone be so rough with my cycle buddy :) It's hard when people say things like '9 to 12 months is perfectly normal' when you feel in a rush I know. Luckily you have found this thread so you are already pregnant and do not have to worry about being normal.

Maybe all boob ache is boob ache in my book and therefore a pregnancy symptom.

Babysade I have no real idea what preseed is but I am anxious to have some. I couldn't get it in Boots today so am ordering it on Amazon tonight. I have high hopes. I'm sure that you will be getting your BFP soon.

Solars · 23/08/2011 17:54

Gosh it's been such a miserable day out there - rain, rain, rain all day!!!

I think we need a rousing chorus of:

What do we want? Positive Pee Sticks
When do we want them? Now

I've forgotten (must be my baby brain!) but who is testing over the next few days?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 23/08/2011 17:52

Wow preggos! 8 days and over 800 messages!! We'll need a new thread by 9 days at this rate!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 23/08/2011 17:51

I think the aching right vs left boob dilemma is no match for the brooking no argument spirit in here! Either one is just further confirmation of the Blindingly Obvious.

Congrats to Maybe on finding a new symptom! Grin (I do hope this one eases off soon though, and doesn't bother you tonight).

My three best friends in the world are scattering to the four corners of the globe! well, France x 2 and Japan I'm so gutted they won't be here during my pg (or after the pain-free birth). I'll be telling the first of them my news this eve by phone, she's the Samantha Jones of our little quartet though so I'm not actually sure how she'll take it...

farfallarocks · 23/08/2011 17:45

Thanks for the info gals and sorry not to post more, manic at work!!
That chart and ninja link looks interesting. Will do some research and come back!

maybebabyR · 23/08/2011 17:35

It doesn't feel muscular Ninja but who knows. Possible just another symptom to add to the ever increasing list Grin

NinjaChipmunk · 23/08/2011 17:28

don't overdo it maybe, have you pulled something or is babymaybe telling you to ease up a bit?
steady on there scream
