Let's face it May 2012 is full of bank holidays leading up to an extra day off thanks to the Queen. We are all bound to get updiffed and miss the time off -(where we should be in the pub) looking after our new babies.

A bus for those who find it difficult to remember new names. Ting ting - no getting off untilk a BFP.

Starting the stats Bleats (31) TTC#1 af due 31st Aug ish

Morning all - hurrah a bank holiday and I am up with Brew and catching up with you lovely ladies! Welcome back Floydie and hello to some of the newbies.

Cats - I remember the position of the fortnight! More was a great mag and took me on from Just 17. Crazy can't recall 'caravan style' - is that is a caravan or something else?!?

Yes it is about time that the bus gets a bit bumpy with symptoms and Spuddy that seems incredibly positive Envy. I on the other hand have nothing. I feel perfectly normal and I think that I would be deluding myself to claim anything Sad Hey ho - let's see.

Me and dp are away so have been swi caravan style! [Grin] on cd 56 so not sure when we should be swi am definitely getting opk sticks when I get back just to see what going on!

Spuddy sound promising!

Floydie I know how you feel came off the pill 4 months ago and my cycle is all over the place too am currently on cd56 so am pretty annoyed at the min!!

Spuddybean · 26/08/2011 22:10

oh yes, and clumsy, i am really forgetful and clumsy - which is a pmt sign for me usually - but it's very early if it is AF :(

Spuddybean · 26/08/2011 22:09

Are anyone elses boobs sore? Mine are really tender, especially the nipples (and they seem bigger - the nipples i mean). I have had a kind of proddy/poking feeling in my stomach. i feel the need to wee loads. Im off stuff and have a weird taste in my mouth.

Am i deluding myself? i'm trying not to get my hopes up but i've never felt like this - not even on my period. I have never ever in my life had sore boobs. (tbh i've got hardly any boobs to be sore in the first place!)

I'm so glad i've got a place to be bonkers - i would never say the above in RL!!

minipie · 26/08/2011 15:33

Welcome back, Floydie Smile

By the way, anyone know where my +ve OPK result has gone? last 2 months I've had a strong line day 19 regular as clockwork - with medium lines on days 18 and 20. This month, day 19 has come and gone (yesterday) with absolutely no line whatsover. Humph.

FloydieDoydie · 26/08/2011 15:29

Stop! False alarm - AF not arrived! I think anyway :S

TMI alert... Yesterday had large amount of pretty red stuff, plus a large clot (sorry, v.gross). As was redder rather than browner, thought was AF. Last night changed tampon and noticed wasn't very heavy. Today changed tampon and was almost totally dry. As such, assuming spotting not AF.

So.....hmmmm. I think this is unlikely to be implantation, as clot was pretty big. But probably just more evidence of totally arsed up cycle.

MyCatLikesToHideInBoxes · 25/08/2011 21:37

Sorry to see you go Floydie - who is going to check the tickets now? Good luck next month - hope you're enjoying a large Wine tonight.

lol Spuddy - I say get the door hanger in while you have the chance... the only kind of door hanging action we have got excited about since ds arrived was when he was big enough for the bouncer!

Yay Pipbin - get on top of that wardrobe and make the most of that positive OPK Grin

minipie · 25/08/2011 17:29

pipbin I have read that you usually ovulate between 24-36 hours after the +ve OPK.

Byrnsie30 · 25/08/2011 17:18

Hey all,

We all seem to have really got into this position talk - go for it ladies!!

Sorry AF got to you floydie and good luck on the next bus x

Pipbin according to CB digital ov tests, when you get a positive test you should SWI anytime in the next 24-48 hours to maximise chances of conceiving! Hope this helps x

180 · 25/08/2011 17:18

this is great on ewcm, ovulation, opks and all manner of stuff you may or may not ever wish to know Smile

180 · 25/08/2011 17:05

sorry Pipbin no idea re OPKs

Does anyone know whether you ovulate after you get EWCM, during, or before? Feel like a rookie, not someone ttc #3. Tis ridiculous.

Pipbin · 25/08/2011 15:46

Bloody hell Ladies. Here is me thinking about perfectly perfunctory sex and you lot are hanging off wardrobes with your feet behind your ears!

To interrupt this filth Wink I've had a positive OPK, when do I actually OV?

Spuddybean · 25/08/2011 15:13

Sad Floydie - Once your cycle rights itself it will be easier i'm sure. Coming of the pill takes a couple of months i think. If i'm not BFP i will be the first on your june bus i promise! Have some wine tonight and treat yourself to something Smile

As for POTF mycat i read More religeously too but i find all these positions really are just variations on a theme. There is only really 3 main ones and the rest is just what you stand/sit/lay on and what you do with your legs. So i still consider the CAT missionary really.

DP and i once had an almost fatal attempt at doing it standing up in his kitchen when we first met and ever since have been cautious - Altho i'm thinking of buying one of those swings that you attach to the door.

Anyone got one of them? are they fun?

180 · 25/08/2011 13:45

oh Floydie SadSad. big hugs and fingers crossed for you next month. Hope you can find some time to relax and take your mind off it for a bit and be kind to yourself.

FloydieDoydie · 25/08/2011 12:43

Just got a nasty surprise when went to the loo and four AF arrived Sad. After last month 33 days, I wasn't expecting her yet (day 25). I suppose I should have expected the unexpected given I only stopped the pill on 27th June, but this was a shocker. Plus the added heartbreak of not being preggo Sad. Guess it explains my tears the past few days though!

It also means we only DTD once when I could have been ov'ing, but explains why I missed it with poas. Guess from day AF ends we will have to swi every other day and poas every day too.

Guess I'm the conductress of the June mini-bus instead.

Good luck and happy BPFs to you all my lovelies. May the sperm always swim the right way and your blue lines always be double Smile

180 · 25/08/2011 10:23

lol spuddy. Looks like I've come back in at the right time. Started swi last night.. CD 13 is always my first swi day Grin.

FloydieDoydie · 24/08/2011 22:36

Heehee Smile laughing at the idea I'd us all wriggling into convoluted positions has cheered me up!

Was at the doctors today (non baby-making-related) and there were FOUR pregnant women there. Made me awfully sad that I'm not there yet. One of them was about 16 and I wanted to stand up ad scream in her face that it wasn't fair; she has her whole life to get pregnant. I was so desperately jealous, as if they were using up all the babies or something Sad. Stoopid I know.

MyCatLikesToHideInBoxes · 24/08/2011 22:16

Tee hee Spuddy, I used to get More magazine in my youth - position of the fortnight taught me everything I know...

Of course POTF over the years covered a lot more than 5 positions but in my state of advancing years the rest have either been lost in the depths of my foggy brain or require a level of flexibility that I simply no longer possess (or, even worse, show off far too many wobbly bits!)

Spuddybean · 24/08/2011 19:45

FIVE! i don't think i know five!! is that just 1 and 2 with your eyes shut?!

MyCatLikesToHideInBoxes · 24/08/2011 18:27

DP's - had me chuckling out loud spuddy!

Have just realised that although our swi/oi frequency is pretty low, we do usually go through at least two positions each time - sometimes as many as five!

When swi-ing though, I do always try to make sure the finishing position has me on my back so that (TMI alert) I can manouvre into the upside down cycling position without losing too many little swimmers Grin

minipie · 24/08/2011 17:25

Grin at DPs - that would up your chances of getting pg though Wink

oh and we only change positions part way through if the one we start with isn't working for one or both of us! if it ain't broke why fix it... I don't insist on sticking to the "optimum TTC" positions though...

Byrnsie that logging out thing keeps happening to me! it is driving. me. mad.

Spuddybean · 24/08/2011 16:24

i meant no rest for DP NOT PLURAL! that would probably make me less boring and actually a swinger!

Spuddybean · 24/08/2011 16:22

byrnsie No rest for DP's - last chance before he goes away.

It's weird about changing positions but i only realised the other day that we never do (all other dp's i have tho). We tend to start with one and stick with it.

Are we really unsexy and boring? We do other stuff first!

Right mission for tonight; 4 positions all at once! Does anyone have any good suggestions? Wink

Byrnsie30 · 24/08/2011 16:01

Aaahh! I just typed a message and MN had logged me out - got to start again!

Mini I just started using preseed this time round and I like it. Apparently normal lubes (even those which don't have spermicide) can damage the little swimmers and inhibit their performace! I admit to having only used the applicator once though as it's kind of a mood killer unless you remeber to insert before getting down to it!

spuddy I agree with you about positions, although I will vary it even during fertile window, as long as we finish in one of the optimum conception positions Wink

Going to give myself and DH a break tonight. I reckon 7 times in 11 days (including 4 consecutive days) is more than enough!! x

minipie · 24/08/2011 12:57

yup got it in one spuddy!
