Yoy casually start totting up how much you've spent so far (long before ivf/private appointments). Just the cost of pg tests, opks, tampax from local shops (way more expensive cos you refused to stock up at the supermarket), parking at the hospital...and then stop calculating rapidly cos it's so much already.

Actually treating the wee cup on the bathroom windowsill like it's a permanent piece of bathroom equipment. When buying a new toothbrush mug and soap dispenser, buying an extra toothbrush mug for weeing in, so it will match.
