Hello! Just miscarried and ready to start again, come and join us...

OP posts:
Summerbird73 · 14/09/2011 12:47

blue i am CD19 so just a little behind you. Although my AF usually arrives early so we may be in tandem this month. AF or BFP! Oo and i have a bit of a CM issue too which i did have when PG with DS...(metal metal metal)

baby thanks for the kind words.

eve i really hope DS settles in school, i am sure he will, it is a big upheaval for him and for you so dont expect it to go smoothly straight away. good vibes to the eve household ///////\

thanks for the brownies poppy just in time! we should get our DSs together as mine loves zoo animals too, your story about your DS is sooooo cute!

missg i am in awe that you and others on here have early scans, i wont get one until 14 weeks despite the MCs unless i start bleeding, it is a big hosp with millions of procreating families. god knows how i will get through those three months Hmm

waves to shimmery pebs pie manda marathon IQ and all the moshers = it occurred to me this morning whilst i was drying my hair Hmm that we really ought to have a 'quiet' area of the mosh pit for the bumps, i really dont want to be held responsible for elbowing mini moshers...

i am channelling the PMA and feeling good about my friends baby and really looking forward to scrunching the little munchkin. i was sad yesterday but at the end of the day L is one of my bestest friends and is such a sweet laydee.

BlueCrane · 14/09/2011 09:07

Morning all...just wondered if there's any chocolate brownies left Thanks poppy Grin

Well...CD22 today Smile Hmm was soooo tired last night but can easily put that down to my bad night's sleep the last few nights, though I do seem to be heavy on the CM front (sorry for TMI) missg I also keep prodding my boobs so Blush we're all as bad as each other with that one!!

eve I know what you feel about DP/DH being 'unavailable' last month I got SO frustrated with DH's shifts getting in the way of TTC...just makes the whole thing seem more hassle when it's bad enough as it is! On a Smile note though...Disneyland Paris - yeah!! Hope you have a fantastic time and that DS loves every minute...and you and DP do too!

baby thanks for you kind words...hope the house is going ok and winds have died down. They say practice makes perfect Wink so keep up the SWI!

summer how are you today my metalling friend? Hope you're ok

manda and boobeez hope you're both doing ok and not metalling too much, am sure the early days are really tough!! Take care

IQ I forgot to look at that link last night...still daren't try it in the office though! Hope all's well with you!

Although it was only 10 degrees when i left the house this morning I am loving the sunshine after all the grey days we've had recently!!

babysaurus · 13/09/2011 23:18

Am knackered so a brief one once again but wanted to send hugs to both Blue and Summer in particular. You appear to be in the same situation, well similar to the one I have been due to my cousin's baby who was born last Monday. Pants innit?

I am hoping to jump on the June bus but am also, as this is the first AF since the MMC, realising this is unlikely but it's better to get practising all the same!

Summer, by the way the chat you had with your Grandad up in t'sky made me fill up - it was lovely!

I am going to go now even though there is loads to catch up with as tired and need my bed. Sorry not to be posting much, but I am checking up on everyone's news.

eve34 · 13/09/2011 20:26

Evening all just a quick one as my computer is playing silly buggers. Hope all is well.

Sorry I have been AWOL not really felt in that place. DP away again this week so really fed up. What is the point of TTC if he is never bloody here.

Starting school for DS is stressful for me, he starts after school club next week so more stress. I am being OTT I am sure but he had real problems in pre school and nursery.

On the up side Disneyland Paris on Thursday just hope DP doesn't get to stressed with DS. He isn't v patient and DS is going to be so excited.

i promise I will return in a more positive frame of mind ready to hopefully ttc a july baby :-)

ShimmeryPixie · 13/09/2011 17:04

Mmm ... brownies. :)

Glad your DH appreciates your efforts Poppy!

pebs - Stay away from Dr Google. He is generous with his diagnoses but rather incompetent. Hopefully the consultant will be able to help you better.

Missgiraffe1 · 13/09/2011 16:57

I know Poppy, it never does any good! Chocolate brownies (yes, plural please) gratefully received Smile
Loved your zoo story. Your DS sounds so cute! Smile
Sounds like your DH is enjoying the baby-making process as it is Grin Go girl! Might as well make the most of the long SWI phase!

Poppyjen · 13/09/2011 16:45

Sorry MissG crossed post... Just wanted to add that DH made a batch of amazingly delicious brownies in lieu of birthday cake - there are so many left I am duly offering them around to you ladies.....save me from myself......!

Missgiraffe1 · 13/09/2011 16:43

Jump in pebs, think you might also need a slap some encouragement to stay off google for the next couple of weeks. Hopefully, your holiday between now and seeing the consultant will help take your mind off things for a time.

I have set myself a goal. Put all thoughts of doom & gloom out of my head until at least Monday (scan day). I will allow myself to metal like mad that day, as scan is late afternoon. But, until then, I am in zero tolerance mode. PMA and all that Smile

I need a krispy kreme!

Poppyjen · 13/09/2011 16:40

Hello ladies, thank you all so much for the birthday wishes - we had a lovely time, dinner with DH was fantastic - he met me at the restaurant straight from work so it gave me chance to get ready like a proper date Wink .....its been a while! I was quietly sipping a Mojito in the bar when he walked in, marvellous! Zoo on Saturday was great too - DS was thrilled with the tigers in particular, they were behaving like our cats (rolling over and exposing their furry tummies) which DS interpreted as meaning they wanted to be tickled and so he ran up and down the fence making "tickle tickle" noises and wiggling his fingers at them....so funny Smile

So jealous of you ladies in the 2ww already...CD 22 here and no sign of ovulation yet according to temperature - from previous cycles I reckon I am about a week or so away so still very much in SWI phase which is nice, but I am in awe of MissG's garage plan.....no garage here but I think it may be time to mix things up a little Wink maybe killer heels and a kitchen ambush would do the trick?

This is definitely too much information so apologies in advance but a couple of nights ago after we DTD DH said to me "now that's what I call baby-making sex" Blush was quite pleased with myself actually!

MissG don't listen to Dr Google - that way madness lies (although I have to confess I have now self-diagnosed myself with any number of horrendous afflictions....)

Sorry not to name check, I really hope that you are all ok, I know we are all at different stages in this process but its great to have a safe place to come where you know people understand. I am very grateful for that Smile

pebspop · 13/09/2011 16:30

the odds are always on your side giraffe even after 4/5 mc's.

i do wonder how many things can go wrong that i don't even know about - it's crazy!

i am worrying about ashermans syndrome today due to my lack of periods and the fact i had a op to remove the placenta after last mc which could have caused it. been googling that all afternoon eekkk!

at least it has given me something else to worrying about instead of what the consultant will tell me in two weeks after all the mc testing.

think i need the padded cell!

Missgiraffe1 · 13/09/2011 16:23

Yeeeeeooouuch! Blush Ok I deserved that. Google is strictly out of bounds now.

Do you have a target date for testing? Hmm Not that I'm encouraging early testing of course, just that I am absolutely amazed at the people who actually manage to hold off until after AF is due! Shock wish I had such restraint!

Summerbird73 · 13/09/2011 16:17

Grin missg before i read the last bit of your post i was about to jump on here and give you the same slapping i gave manda but you have already given me permission so consider yourself bitch slapped sista! i am not even going to comment on your googling Hmm just stop it now!

as for me: metallic taste in mouth, stretchy feeling in tummy (i think). metalling? moi? yep and i am only CD17 and 6DPO Hmm

Missgiraffe1 · 13/09/2011 16:11

The door was closed Summer and I live at the end of the culdesac, so it's very quiet Wink .

I'm sure he'll be fine, thanks. His big sis had the same thing when she was born, I think she was out of ICU after 1 week and home a few days after that. It's just horrible thinking of them being so small and sick and helpless Sad

I'd just like to declare myself an idiot. I have spent much of today trying to figure out whether the stats are for me or against me. I don't know why I do this to myself. I know that once you've had 1 ectopic, you're at higher risk of another (15-20% higher), and that the risk seems to increase with age. The last pg, I was so focussed on hoping it wasn't ectopic again, that when they saw the sac in womb, I was like "phew". That was to be short-lived though, as that ended up a silent MC. Just like the last time with the Preg of Unknown Location/abdominal PG, I had never heard of a silent MC (or blighted ovum), so am wondering what else can go wrong that I don't know about?

Aaaaaargh! Where's the key to that padded cell??? No more googling. Summer, feel free to slap me! Or, IQ send in the heavies (aka your sister) Grin

BlueCrane · 13/09/2011 16:02

Ooh summer I have the same CM symptom too...can we be symptom buddies down in da hood??

I won't check that link at work IQ based on other's responses it might not be appropriate if anyone happened to see over my shoulder!! Will look tonight though!

If June is 'the month' then mini-blue could end up competing with my birthday but I'd happily have that than not have a mini-blue then IYSWIM! Being first time for me I have yet to invest in mat clothes except for the stash in the loft I've bought in the sales whilst TTC (before MC) and indeed some after the MC when I have been in PMA mood though I haven't bought anything for mini-blue, except for my 'spare-room' nursery redecoration project over the August bank holiday weekend Blush

Summerbird73 · 13/09/2011 15:40

'the garage' missg good heavens woman have YOU not heard of discretion Hmm Wink

and i sincerely hope your likkle nephew is ok, much as it is heart wrenching for us to hear of births; my heart goes out to little ones who go through so much when only a few hours old. One of the girls on my old thread back in 2008 had a little boy who was born with a congenital heart defect (hope i got that right), we were all rooting for him and from her FB photos he is a little champion now Smile

Missgiraffe1 · 13/09/2011 14:57

haha x posts IQ. For the love of God, has this woman never heard of discretion??

Full on metalling Summer I hazard a guess at it being both! Grin

PieMistress · 13/09/2011 14:54

7dpo summer ? Could very well be the egg getting nice and snug! Fingers crossed !! There's no way I can ever wait till 14dpo to test, I normally start about 9dpo Blush

Missgiraffe1 · 13/09/2011 14:51

Summer and Blue it is heart-wrenching when you get texts, or see updates on FB, about happy baby/scan news. Of course we are happy for our friends and families, but the hurt of our losses seems even greater at these times. I still feel a bit Envy when I get news, then guilty about feeling Envy, but it's something we have no choice but to cope with.

My cousin had a wee boy yesterday, he's in intensive care as he has rhesus disease. Hopefully, with a bit of phototherapy, he'll be fine. There's a risk he might need a transfusion, but they don't think so at the mo. Fingers crossed.

And, my DH was on the phone to one of his BFs last night, whose wife is pg (11weeks, he's not supposed to be telling anyone yet, but he's clearly excited, as well as worried). Really happy for them. All going well, we'll only be a month or so apart. But .... she's currently in hospital with hyperemesis! I am therefore going to try to not whinge about my lack of symptoms too much Grin Still boob-prodding and knicker-checking like a nutter though! May need a private section in the club so that I don't disturb the other metallers Blush

Pie get your sexiest high heels on lady, and go for it! Change things up a little. Dim the lights in the kitchen/office/garage (!!) and catch him unawares Wink. It certainly did the trick over in casa giraffe!

IQ all sounding good in campIQ Smile. How cute, he was shaking his ass. Maybe he's signalling that he wants a bit of dance music instead of metal for a change? I am obsessed with megastructures btw - I love watching how things are built.

Baby hope you got your windows sorted! The west coast of Scotland has been a bit battered too. Some of my planters were across the other side of the garden, and I had to play dodge the wheelie bins when I walked round the corner to my friends!

pebs hope you see the return of AF soon, although I hope she doesn't upset your holiday. Mind you, I suspect you'd welcome the disruption for the peace of mind that your cycle's getting back to normal. Hope you get answers soon.

Manda hope you doing well today.

Hello to everyone else Marathon Eve Shimmery Boobeez Poppy Zebra and Whatso, if you're still lurking, I really hope you're doing ok x

Summerbird73 · 13/09/2011 14:46

oh dear god IQ .......... Shock Shock i dare you to post that on the BF-v-FF boards!!

right TMI alert - i am knicker checking now, my CM is slightly darker than usual, is the egg burrowing? am i pg? eh eh? i wish it was two weeks time so i would knoooow

InsomniaQueen · 13/09/2011 14:27

Just a quick one to entertain you all - on the subject of BF....check out this link - if this is not food on the go i don't know what is!!!!

www.peopleofwalmart.com/38572

Summerbird73 · 13/09/2011 13:59

oh yes pie the 'failure' of my C-Section (which was due to foetal distress; ie DS was choking himself on his cord Sad ) I was asked how i was 'dealing' with the fact that i didnt give birth naturally..

my stock response was 'well the fact that the c-section saved DS's life kind of makes up for it' Hmm

PieMistress · 13/09/2011 13:23

Am loving your mosh pit mentalling summer and blue !! I'm not quite DPO yet so will be joining you soon

I am wondering if I need to SWI tonight as well ? Am trying to not let DP suss when i'm ov (although tonight might have been a big obvious) as I don't want to put any pressure on him [hmmm]

If we are lucky this month and in da June crew (please, please, please!) then it will be totally opposite seasons for me as DS was a Christmas day baby!

summer for you today. It will have been a bit crap getting that text :( I have 2 friends that are due a month after my loss and not looking forward to getting their new arrival news (IYSWIM)

I had some thoughtless comments from a 'friend' after DS's birth (failed forceps, so C-Section) in that I was asked "do you feel like you've failed because you didn't give birth naturally" Angry Angry The thing was out of my ante-natal group there were 4 C-Sections so she managed to piss a few of us off that day!

Summerbird73 · 13/09/2011 12:39

oh and blue sorry about the work of the devil that is FB, its not as if you can 'hide' your SIL is it? [hugs]

Summerbird73 · 13/09/2011 12:39

thanks blue i am ok, i am looking forward to meeting her as i dont want 'her' baby i want 'my' baby! it had to happen at some point though.

i too am getting ahead of myself, i keep talking like i 'am' pregnant and 'am' due in June, i slipped up with my friends the other day saying that i will have to get my routine sorted out if i am dropping DS at nursery with a newborn - they all looked at me like Hmm but i assured them i was metalling (of course i didnt say the word )

so blue we truly are fully fledged members of the mosh pit, i would be due the same day-ish as DS so i am hoping for a tandem pregnancy with timing of scans etc, also thinking my maternity clothes and newborn clothes will be in tandem with the seasons..... Confused Hmm

FULL ON METALLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BlueCrane · 13/09/2011 11:09

Oh summer I'm so so sorry Sad life can be so cruel sometimes! How are you doing now?

I noticed a post on facebook by my SIL this morning saying they'd had another scan yesterday and were so excited to see their little girl bouncing around and couldn't wait to meet her in 5ish weeks time...we were both so excited to be due within about a month of each other and cousins being so close...but not to be unfortunately...whilst I'm looking forward to meeting my new niece I'm not looking forward to the fact that I won't have my ready-to-burst bump! It's not easy all of this! Hoping I will have a mini-blue-bump-to-be by then though! Trying to be PMA... if we do get a BFP next week then theoretically I should've had my early 8week scan by the time new niece comes along which would be good...but I'm getting rather ahead of myself there... Hmm

pie I am in awe of your dedication and your DP's willingness to be errr complicit to errr providing the goods so to speak Grin

IQ glad to hear you're doing ok and managing to cook etc now your sis has gone off to uni...hope work ok too? When is your DH back?

got my Brew and back to work...

PS summer the 70's themed chasseur was actually divine, was just trying to keep up my street reputation by dissing it Smile
