Hello! Just miscarried and ready to start again, come and join us...

OP posts:
InsomniaQueen · 01/08/2011 16:59

Takes marathon and summer to the side of the stage and gives them some lovely non alcoholic wine to cool off in this bloody hot weather.

Were all here for you ready to listen at any given time or day so don't feel self indulgent if you can't over indulge here with your fellow metal head who can you self indulge with!!!!

Now for my self indulgent moment - I was soooo hot in town today I went to buy a more lightweight top - tried on 2 in my normal size and was Angry and complained to the shop lady about their sizes being all weird. Then went one shop down where I picked up the next size up by mistake but found it was perfect......felt really bad for moaning at the shop assistant in the previous shop but was too embarrassed to go back and apologise Blush.....obviously my body has changed more than I first thought!!! But as my good deed for the day and gave two girls 10p as they didn't quite have enough in superdrug for the matching body sprays they wanted......bless them they were so pleased.....made me feel very Grin!!

Right will catch up properly later but must go and eat my fruit platter prepared by DH who is determined to improve my diet!!

Love to you all xxxx

Summerbird73 · 01/08/2011 16:43

thanks so much guys. just been back to loo (god i have lived in there today!) and still bleeding. going to nip to boots for some pads in a bit (working late as i have myfirst counselling sesh tonight Hmm ) DH reckons i shouldnt go to counselling but i am going to anyway. i am also going to buy another digi pack (£12 for peace of mind!) and do it later in the week.

this is crap - we were so excited on Friday night! trying to stay positive with the PMA but actually just feel a bit flat Sad

thank you for the hugs and particularly the bozie Smile

Missgiraffe1 · 01/08/2011 16:10

Oh Summer I'm not surprised you are metalling. But, remember, I am just around the corner in the 2ww section of the mosh pit, and can easily jump over there into the newly upduffed room and knock some sense into you!

Try not to panic. I know it's easier said than done. But, as we have no crystal ball or blue pee, or ability to see inside our own bodies, you just need to hang on in here and stay strong. In the mean time, we are all here to support you (which could involved anything from a big virtual hug to a clip around the pierced ear Grin )

I am PMA'ing for you, even if you don't feel that way yourself just now. x

PieMistress · 01/08/2011 16:07

Sorry v.quick post before leaving for home in 5 mins (so will be back later!) but just wanted to give summer a big bozie (scottish word for hug, just as it sounds!). It really does sounds like implantation bleeding to me but I know that doesn't help the mentalling (or, at was said above it's just your hormones playing up as AF would have been due).

This thread is all about us being there for each other so please use us when-ever necessary!! xxx

Waves to all and promises to be back later! x

Summerbird73 · 01/08/2011 15:55

sorry i am being completely over indulgent today but....

...i am bleeding again! again not enough for a pad but FFS

i have decided i am going to bear out whatever the feck this is and test again at the weekend. if it is BFP then i am going to do the victory dance but if BFN then thats that. starting to think it is probably on its way out Sad but then i get a moment of clarity by reading babycentre/mn/this thread and it is all ok again Hmm Confused

sorry for overindulgence Blush i will be 'back in the room' soon enough

Missgiraffe1 · 01/08/2011 15:36
BlueCrane · 01/08/2011 14:05

summer hope you?re doing ok?very sweet of your DH to be googling implantation bleeding!! My DH can?t cope with thought of bleeding of any sort from down there so that?s the last thing he?d be doing!! Hope you?re nice and comfy in the padded cell with the metalling music blaring out loud and clear! Anyway?stay caaaaalm if you can!!

whatso are you feeling more alive today? Sounds like a ?busy? day on Saturday with the old Wine but glad you had a good day!

eve enjoy your week off and time at your Mum?s, sorry to hear AF still not appeared but glad the camp went well (maybe not having AF whilst camping is a god thing Hmm )

missg I thought you were doing well saying you were going to wait until tomorrow to POAS...grrrr for continued waiting and metalling!! And thank you for the thread slogan reminder!!

IQ I like the new name for the bean Smile last time we had a new name each week to reflect size?so from lentil to blueberry to raspberry etc?we?d got to Kiwi when we found out we hadn?t really got past the lentil point Sad I think sticking with one name is better and biscuit is great!!

manda hang in there with the 2ww full on metalling and here?s hoping for a longer LP!!

As for me? summer sorry, misunderstood your WTF cycle comment?really hoping for a ?normal? cycle whatever that is but it will only be the first proper one since MC/ERPC so I might be being a bit hopeful! AF seems to have gone again for the moment so will just have to wait and see and get lots of SWI in whenever we can Wink

Oh joy?another meeting? when am I going to get any work done?!?

Summerbird73 · 01/08/2011 13:57

YY missg got BFP at CD26, been back to loo and the brown spotting is less (it was dark red before lunch - but just a little bit..)

Blush

(loving mandas mild bollocking - YY i do know this! Wink )

Right need some distraction - oo cars - yep i know bugger all about them too, when i first got a car i told a colleague that i had a four litre micra with one door (obv it was 1litre four door but i liked my other version...) he teased me for years about that one!

Missgiraffe1 · 01/08/2011 13:05

Summer yep, sounds like implantation bleeding. You got your bfp a couple of days before AF was due, didn't you? Well, it's definitely implantation bleeding then. I am sure of it. Smile

Summerbird73 · 01/08/2011 12:48

bless him DH has been on the phone - he has been googling 'implantation bleeding' Smile he has said what you have all just said!

just been back to loo - it has gone brown now, no more stuff. this is so not like it was in March (nor 3 years ago when i think i had a CP). i am not feeling dizzy, not in pain (save for a little mild cramping but think that is ok). trying not to panic! DH wants me to ring his mum (former midwife) but i said that i dont want this to be the way we break the news to her! especially if all is well. i may ring her tomorrow if it continues.

aaaaaaaaand breathe.

thanks guys Smile (i bloomin love mumsnet me!)

ps - manda i am going to ask my GP about an early scan - bet they say no though as the maternity unit has just merged with another one and they are chocker

MandaHugNKiss · 01/08/2011 12:24

summer It absolutely could be implantation! You know this! As much as I can't guarantee a good outcome for you, the odds really on your side right now (especially minus any proper pain) that it's just the eary pg spotting that lots of women get in a healthy pregnancy. Hang in there. Were you planning on an early scan? Will your doctor refer you to the epu given your previous history?

IQ DP is a used car trader so I have far more than my fair share and several other women's share of 'look at this car I'm interested in, it does x miles to the gallon, only done y miles, not a mark on it blah blah blahblahblah mostly I'm supportive and ask questions/offer another point of view, other times I simply humour him but sometimes? Ugh. Add to the mix that I do not have a driving license and so couldn't really give a fig about cars

As for me, I am pretty sure I'm 9dpo (although fertility friend currently has me at 11dpo). Bfn this morning, which is fine as it's still very early. I think right now I'll just be happy if my lp returns to its usual length. 9 days last month was awful. So beyond anything, I don't want af to arrive tomorrow for reasons not actually connected to wanting a bfp!

InsomniaQueen · 01/08/2011 12:22

Right don't immediately panic (yes it's not exactly easy but do try). Ok firstly when is your AF due? It might be hormonal fluctuation which happens in and around the time your AF is due as the body hasn't quite settled into it's new state. Additionally as you were having AF cramps it could be the bean borrowing down in the uterus and getting comfy.

Best thing is to sit quietly for a few hours....are you at work? Can you leave and go home and put your feet up with a DVD?

Feel free to come and sit with me in the padded cell.....I shall send you positive bump vibes!!! Xxxx

whatsoever · 01/08/2011 12:20

summer opening door to padded cell and gently pushing you in

Sounds like implantation bleeding. Take lots of deep breaths and if there are any Biscuit around, have a few to distract yourself.

Here's a Brew to go with the Biscuit.

whatsoever · 01/08/2011 12:18

Morning - happy August one and all!

IQ - I am so with you on the car thing. My factors are 5 doors (putting a baby seat into a 3 door car looks tough and my PMA tells me that there shall be a baby seat to think of in the not too distant future), it moves when i press the accelerator and....that's about it!

It was indeed a good wedding. Far far too much free booze hence the hangover. However some friends who live abroad were also nearby so we caught up with them briefly. They have a 4 year old and a 4 month old and the last time I saw them they were pg with the eldest - they were lovely kids, so happy to have met them, even if it was with a stinking hangover (I tried not to breathe on them Blush )

eve glad to hear camp went well

missg here's hopign it's just too early for the BFP to announce itself

DH goes to Japan tomorrow until Saturday. AF has finally stopped trickling on so hopefully get some SWI in tonight before he leaves. Then he returns Saturday and we go to Ibiza on Sunday so plenty of "trying" while we're there. This may feel like the longest week ever.

[waves to everyone else]

Summerbird73 · 01/08/2011 12:12

oh god - just been to the loo and there is a little bit of blood [scared emoticon]

WTF??? it is just a little bit (like not enough for a panty liner) but more than spotting.

let me into that fecking padded cell - WTF is going on? please tell me this could be implantation... Hmm

InsomniaQueen · 01/08/2011 11:51

DH has thrust me out of the pg closet by informing his entire family over this weekend (there are only like 10 people in his family but that is kind of besides the point) Im not happy about it all but I have warned them all that the first sign of fuss I will just stop taking their calls.....I can't stand it and it drives me insane!!! Never mind I suppose it had to be done sometime but I said to him that if things don't go ok he will be in charge of telling them all considering I didn't want anyone to know in the first place!!!! But moving on from that feeling ok today - a bit sickly but not actually sick so

Summer - yeah my sister is mental but what is a girl to do! Been mostly tired today but that is probably cos I was awake for 4 hours during the night. I have decided to rename the bean 'biscuit'.....I'm not really a fan of beans but do love chocolate malted milks/hobnobs so feel this is more appropriate. DH looked at me like I was insane but as I reminded him I'm the one growing it so I get to give it a nick name!!

Baby - glad your making progress on your house and that you are feeling happy enough to share how your feeling here with us!!!

Marathon - how are you doing today?

Pie - climbing.....wow....I'm not great with heights but would love to do something outdoorsish. If you go down the acupuncture route you will have to let us know how you get on!!

Eve - glad camp went well and your having a few days off. Currently keeping well, just trying to keep dh's feet on the ground.....he keeps saying things like "when MY baby is old enough we can do X,Y,Z" I think he has forgotten that there is a little bit between all that and where we currently are!!!!

missg - your keeping everyone on tenterhooks here....oh well shall keep hoping you get some blue pee soon. I love audi tt's but dh said "hell no"...oh well I will keep working on him.

Whatso- whole day hangover obviously you had a great time....he he he!!!

Blue - fully agree about us being more active during the working week...at weekends not much happens and then on monday....bam...it all kicks off again!!!

Bloody DH I don't think he realises that pg women should not be argued with.....he has decided he wants a bigger car cos of pg and two dogs - fine no problem. I made a few suggestions and he started looking at prices. He then got stressed with me because I didn't care whether it was a 1.4 or 2 litre all I care about is that it gets me from a to b. He then replied "well if that's your attitude then it's a good thing I'm the one looking at this and not you".......i can't believe he is making it out like I'm being deliberately difficult - I don't care about engine size, colour or anything else as long as its big enough for the baby and the dogs and suitcases.......rahhhhhggggg Angry!! I fully accept this is my hormones being irrational but DH has to learn that I will take whatever attitude I feel like for the next 8 odd months!!!!

Summerbird73 · 01/08/2011 11:51

forgive my foolish typo - of course i meant metalling and not metalling Hmm Confused

Summerbird73 · 01/08/2011 09:28

missg eeeeeeekkk indeed! i am still mentalling though! had some AF type cramps this morning which was a bit Hmm but now i have sore boobies which is Grin Grin i also got paranoid when i looked at the CB digi and the display has wiped (it only lasts a couple of days) and got all Angry that my confirmation has gone!!! see what i mean - still mentalling!

also crap about your BFN

baby that wallpaper is lovely - although i would never be allowed to spend that much - DH is a 'B&Q bargain bucket' type of guy. Grin

eve glad the weekend went well - crikey the blokes are tactful arent they?!

fanx whatso did you enjoy the wedding? (clearly you did given the hangover!)

blue what i meant was are you onto a new WTF cycle? Wink and yes you are indeed correct - i do far more MNing at work

how are IQ and marathon this morn? any sore boobies or vomiting? eh? eh?

wheres manda and shimmery ?? you havent been online for - oo - at least a couple of days! Grin

eve34 · 01/08/2011 09:15

Good morning all.

I got through another year of camp!!! The kids had a ball. Which of course is the most important thing. Few downs 4 girls will be 18 next year so it was there last year :-(. one of the girls is expecting. Which is very exciting for her but bit :-( for me.

Anyway - Go Summer so excited for you.

Marathon and IQ hope you are both keeping well. Wow this thread really is moving on.

Baby - it is early days since your MC. things will move on I promise. Hope the wall papering looks good. MY DP is the same he did the bathroom last year and I am not allowed near the decorating - even though it is still not finished. In that time I have repainted 3 rooms. Just DS room to go but it need new carpet in there so DP needs to do skirting boards.

Hope everyone else is ok and had a good weekend. Still no AF here was ok about it but today am fed up just want to know where i stand. Got back from camp yesrerday DP said so you up the duff yet :-) bless him, need to dtd first love.

Hope you all have a great day. I am off to my mum's on wed for 3 days so much for a week off.

Missgiraffe1 · 01/08/2011 09:13

Pft, Tues morning my arse! POAS this morning of course, BFN.
This is CD 28, ucl 27/28. Spotting seems to have stopped but no AF. Ho hum.

Manda any news with you?

Marathon Yeah! Symptoms! Do not forget the mantra, I repeat, do not forget the mantra. No new car yet, undecided. My DH has an Audi TT (he also has 6 points on his licence Hmm ). Ridiculous and impractical. So I need a family size car. But he says we can't afford another expensive car Sad and we're not likely to get much for mine (9.5 years old, 115,000 miles on clock), so it needs to be a reasonably priced one. I love the Audi S5 (DH says 'in your dreams'). Ah well, back to the drawing board. I need some time to work on him Grin OR, as he's in Madrid, I could just go trade mine in and buy a new one before he gets back!!

Summer well done with the will power. Your friend will be so delighted when you tell her!

Baby sounds like you have had a very productive weekend, and deserved a large Wine after all that hard work!

Blue you are definitely right to be covering all bases! We probably can't know for sure what might be early or late in terms of OV so soon after out MCs, so best to get shagging at every possible opportunity Grin.

Whatso hope you're feeling better today. Here's a Brew and a Biscuit

Hope everyone has a good start to the week. Hi to IQ, Shimmery (so sorry to hear about your uncle) Pie Eve and anyone else who might still be lurking.

Missgiraffe1 · 01/08/2011 00:05

Ok. Have actually got out of bed and come into my office to type as my phone is shite not so good for MN Smile

Mantra for this thread is:
"CHIN UP, TITS OUT @@, and PMA ALL THE WAY TO THAT BFP!!"
But also, for those already past that:
"CHIN UP, TITS OUT @@, AND PMA ALL THE WAY TO THAT DD!!"
Smile Grin Smile Grin Smile Grin

IQ am loving your current commitment to the PMA Smile . And your sentiments to Marathon. Epitomises what the thread's all about really Smile

Marathon spotting still just that, but BFN tonight. Got a 2 pack so will do another on Tues morn. Thought the 'TMI' CM was a sign, but then the evil telltale pre-AF symptoms started - not all, but some. So still Confused .

Blue, yes, will also catch up properly tomorrow before when at work (you are very perceptive Grin really hope my internet usage isn't monitored Hmm )

Hi everyone else, and, again, to Summer Eeeeeeeek! x

whatsoever · 31/07/2011 22:56

Hello all Smile Popping by very briefly to say a huge congrats to Summer, fabulous news. I am in bed following a whole day hangover after yesterday's wedding so will be back tomorrow properly.

[waves to all metallers]

BlueCrane · 31/07/2011 22:23

summer hopefully not still in WTF cycle...last week was definitely AF as it was v heavy and painful and it's now 7 weeks since ERPC sooo I think (hope!) it's just our favourite aunt hanging around a bit longer than she's welcome for!! The what seems to be usual confusion following MC though!! Even so, providing she doesn't come to much we can still crack on with the SWI...managed yesterday CD7 (I know a bit early but may as well get the practise in!)

baby I thought that paper looked expensive and patterns + chimney breast + no doubt not totally even walls = looong time, lots of patience, a few swear words but hopefully a stunning result at the end!! Smile well done!

Right...I'm totally wiped so will do a proper catch up tomorrow when most of us are at work and seem to be much more active then than when we are at home Grin

babysaurus · 31/07/2011 21:48

Hi All,
I am knackered. The wallpapering, bearing in mind it was just the chimney breast, took over 3 hours due to the pattern matching. Never done wallpapering where there is a pattern before so all this was very new to me - I thought we'd be done in an hour! As the paper is a scary £89 a roll too we had to be very careful indeed (ie we were almost scared of it!) - we justified the expense on account of us only papering a bit of it, the rest of the room is jasmine white.

I too am encouraged to hear the links on exercise and hormones too (may be Googling in a bit!). While I am fairly active, I think a bit more would never go amiss.

Marathon I hope you're managing to keep your chin up!

Waves to everyone else!

x

Summerbird73 · 31/07/2011 21:47

evening everyone

Blue does this make you still in the WTF cycle do you reckon? i agree that chocolate is the way forward!

baby i have heard that Hebden Bridge is fabulous! one of my (gay) colleagues lives there (i say gay in a non derogatory term as HB is apparantly a mecca for lesbian/gay couples due to the Sylvia Plath connection - even tho she was never gay!). Have you recently moved there?

marathon how you doing? i know you are still mentalling but tiredness is a classic preggy symptom - i had it with DS immediately and am having it now (tho not sure if it is psychological).

missg any news? do you have AF or are you thinking of POAS? and how was the daaahling nephew?

IQ how is your li'l bean today?

waves to manda eve shimmery whatso and everyone else

i am having a weird day today, it is a mix of elation and mentalling. i start my counselling sessions tomorrow night and will feel weird going in saying - oh yeah i have had some crap things going on but yay i am preggy!! Hmm

i have had a lovely bath and a cuppa hot chocolate but am now sitting in bed thinking 'why did my last bean not stick? what happened? was it something i did?' and generally mentalling. on a nice note my friend (the one who is starting chemo this week) texted me tonight saying 'have you POAS or are you still mentalling' Grin i lied and responded that AF was keeping me company but only so i can tell her to her face in 3 weeks time that i POAS and got a BFP!!

will do a proper catch up tomorrow when i am at work
