Evening all

Summer - so sorry to hear what you have gone through. Please take very good care of yourself and I know you will soon have that much wanted baby on the way. PMA. Go and have lots of beer, pate and blue cheese.

IQ - I am sure the family are really excited for you. They only fuss because they care you know. As for the car I am with you on that. So long as it goes I don't much care what it is.

Whatso - glad you enjoyed the wedding. Sorry to hear DH is away again. Enjoy the peace and quiet.

Manda and miss G - fingers crossed you get bfp soon :-)

Cuttle - hang on in there. Thinking of you.

As for me, as I typed yesterday no AF guess what it turned up. No pain or anything. Which surprised me as I have had no periods for years due to being on the pill. So here I am waiting to get TTC. So will have head like mush in 3 weeks time..... excited and feel sick at the thought of it all.

I am off to Skeg tomorrow with my sister, niece and mother for a few days. Pray the weather holds and I will catch up with you all on Friday.

MandaHugNKiss · 02/08/2011 17:14

Oh, summer I'm so sorry. And awed by your positivity! I'm sorry about your Mum's response, too, but then y'know, things were different back in their day, when they wouldn't have gotten a positive test at such an early juncture. But it certainly won't hurt to explain to her how it does hurt because, as has been mentioned, when that second line appears, you make a space in your life for that person you're expecting to arrive. When those thoughts and plans are taken away, of course it's hard. But, yes! PMA all the way to your healthy bean. Glad you're ignoring GP's 'wait a month' advice Grin

Right. I'm still blody confused! I am now of the impression that I may be just five days past O. Reason being that when I put my temp in today, I thought 'ah, that looks FAR more how it used to (preMMC), nice even temps...' and then got to thinking about that super dark opk I got at what i THOUGHT was 4DPO. I hadn't entered the opk onto my chart and when I did, bam, it gives me CD25 as O, currently 5DPO. Thank goodness, we'd actually SWI that day as we'd given up being so very regular, thinking we'd already covered our bases.

pie and anyone else who charts, what do you think:

My chart

thank you farfallarocks feel free to join in anytime - we are all a bit metal

in truth i am so pee'd off by everything that has happened the last few months i am clinging to anything positive and trying to look to the future. but thank you for your comment. Smile

farfallarocks · 02/08/2011 16:26

summerbird73 I have been lurking on this thread for a while and I just wanted to say that your PMA is really inspirational. I hope to be a bit more like you :)

Summerbird73 · 02/08/2011 16:08

thank you marathon the GP said that there was no 'scientific' reason why he gave that advice, it was only for me really - psychologically and also to make sure everything 'clears out' in there Hmm we are ignoring that advice anyway!

lunch was fabulous - large glass of sauvignon blanc = not such a good idea..

MarathonMama · 02/08/2011 15:03

Oh Summer I have no clue what to say. I'm so sorry that it wasn't to be. I'm glad the GP has noted it for you so that hopefully you can get some answers if it happens again. Just remember that it was very early, so don't draw any conclusions as it's really common. Why did the doc think you should wait a cycle before ttc again? Surely there's no reason for that when the mc was close to when your AF was due? You sound like you're dealing with it so well (what would we do without MissG's mantra eh?) and DH sounds like a gem.

You rock (too) lady! Grin

Blue how frustrating. If it's any consolation, I bled randomly after my ERPC until my BFP. Only spotting, but it was totally random and unpredictable.

Cuttle sorry to hear of your bleed but glad little Cuttlett is still thriving. When is your next scan?

MissG WTF? You must be going mental (or should that be metal?!). What was the length of your last cycle? Do you think it's just taking time for them to settle down?

No news here, DD up all night, the heat really didn't agree with her, so I'm a zombie today. Have been off my food a bit this morning, well anything healthy anyway, I am managing crisps, crackers and chocolate though Smile

Hope everyone else is ok waves

summer LOL at your comments re. my lonely panty liner!! Currently giggling at my desk but of course there's no no way that I'm explaining what's making me giggle to any of my colleagues if they were to ask...but then they're all male so just give me strange looks when I get the giggles anyway!!

cuttle sorry to hear about your bleeding but glad minicuttle seems to be hanging in there!!

whatso glad to hear AF seems to have gone for you...I'm just prepared now for her to hang around and be irritating this cycle...I'm CD10 today but who know's what cycle length will be...answers on a postcard anyone?!? My cycles pre-MC had reached a record 37 days so hoping I might be back to a more normal 28 days after all of this?

missg how very frustrating to still be getting bfn yet no AF... Hmm hoping you get some answers soon! Hope DD better soon too and doesn't 'spread the love yucky germs ' to you as well!

Summerbird73 · 02/08/2011 12:25

ps - you all ROCK! Smile

Summerbird73 · 02/08/2011 12:25

well the GP was uneventful, he noted it for the records and said 'oh so you got PG quite quickly this time' errr yes it was but you try knicker checking - foraging for EWCM (pulling it between your fingers and marvelling at how it goes stringy - no? - just me then Blush ) counting down the 2WW yada yada yada

anyway - he was v sweet, agreed that it was likely that i had a MMC 3 years ago, noted the now 3 Sad MCs and said to let them know if i get another one. no real advice but he did say to leave it a month/cycle before TTC again (me and DH were like - yeah right Hmm )

whatso i will have a spot of Led Zep if you please..?

cuttle soooo pleased you saw a heartbeat, i know how stressful it all is, so hang on in there little cuttlebean Smile

missg your post summed up exactly how i feel so thank you sorry about DD being sick - i hate it when DS is poorly (and the clean up operation is rather rank too i know!)

blue you made me giggle about your lonely pad in handbag!

i said to DH today that i am gonna be shit scared next time i am PG - however i have done a U Turn on that - i have decided that PMA is my life mantra. There is no reason why the next PG should go tits up.

Sending healthy bump vibes to marathon IQ and cuttle and waving frantically to shimmery eve pie baby manda and everyone else in da mosh pit xxxxx

whatsoever · 02/08/2011 11:57

summer so so sorry for your loss. Echowing others, hope you have a nice lunch, take some time off and generally give yourself a wee rest. Playlist of Iron Maiden, Guns n Roses and Led Zeppelin ready for you anytime.

cuttle sorry to hear of your bleed but glad cuttle junior is hanging on in there.

blue I feel your annoyance, that is exactly what mine did last month. "Surprise, I'm here!", then tailed off then "I'm back!" Mine had three proper days and then five dribbly (sorry TMI!) days this month and doesn't seem to have returned, I am now at CD11.

pie just before I got pg I had started thinking about accupuncture. I am giving it another couple of months and then if I am not updiffed I will start enquiring about it I think.

CuttlefishDramas · 02/08/2011 11:18

Had a massive bleed on Saturday, but I've had a couple of scans and there is still a heartbeat so I'm clinging on to sanity (just about).

Late how are you feeling now?

I'm 7+2 MissGiraffe, but can't wait to hit that 12!

Such good news about your scan IQ!! (And your big boobies!!)

Shimmery I'm so sorry about your uncle.

Pie I hope you're feeling a bit better now. It's such an up and down time, and nobody can understand it that hasn't experienced it. I hope the GP can give you some answers.

Marathon, no matter how many people tell me not to worry about lack of symptoms, I still do. I know it's easier said than done, but I'm sure we'll be fine. I keep thinking of all those women who don't find out they're pregnant till really late, they can't have had any either right?

Summerbird I am so, so sorry. Take the time off work. I agree with your DMIL, you should tell the GP.

Missgiraffe1 · 02/08/2011 10:22

Summer I am impressed by your strength and determination. I don't think you can understand the sadness of a very early MC unless you've been through it yourself. Whilst I have no doubt that late MCs/losses are a different kettle of fish altogether (I've never gone past 9weeks 2 days), once you know you're pg, you plan ahead no matter how hard you try not to. To have that taken away is awful. Bigs hugs to you and DH and - of course - more PMA! Smile

Blue sorry to hear you appear to still be a bit WTF. I'm in a similar position, sort of. Now cd 29, occasional spotting since Saturday, but defintely nothing like AF and still bfn. Hmm Annoying.

Morning everyone else. Off out to meetings now. Struggling to get motivated today. DD been up sick all night, there's some sort of bug going around at the mo. Nasty.

BlueCrane · 02/08/2011 10:09

Oh summer sorry to hear the cramps are bad...hope the codeine kicks in quickly...and that you have a lovely lunch and get an understanding GP! Loving the PMA...well done!

I'm feeling a bit Hmm Confused as just had more spotting...filled a panty liner and went through a bit...good job I have dark navy blue trousers on today Blush so frustrating as thought AF had finished last week...grrr...thankfully had one lonely pad left in my handbag otherwise I'd have to have popped out to the shops! Lesson to self for the foreseeable future...make sure have stash of spare Pantyliners and pads in handbag! The joys of what seems to be another WTF cycle following MC! Hoping there's no more today as we have SWI planned for tonight!!

How's everyone else this morning? Smile

Summerbird73 · 02/08/2011 08:43

thank you all for you rmessages, it really means a lot (DH is thanking you again Smile ) he really now appreciates the importance of MN and threads like this.

DS decided to wake up between 11.30 and 00.30 last night which has made us even more shattered. we are both off today and DH is going to take me for a nice lunch. and yes we are def getting a GP appointment. I am 38 and have had 2 known MC's and a potential one in 2008 so (hoping i dont have another one) they should put it on record and possibly refer me.

i am still bleeding quite heavily and cramping - might hunt out some codeine from the last time Grin

my mum was a bit Hmm when i told her, i think because it was such an early MC, i feel a bit flat about that but i guess she didnt really know what to say.

Anyway, DH and I are def on the PMA all the way (he loves our mantra by the way!!).

pie that is interesting about the acupuncture, mind you my LP is usually spot on 14 days. But i might need something to kick start the next cycle (wondering if i am now in the WTF cycle!! Hmm )

Right PMA PMA PMA PMA have a lovely day Smile

waves to everyone - i will get back into name checking in a bit

Missgiraffe1 · 02/08/2011 08:31

Just popped on quickly as have a busy day at work ahead.

Summer am so, so sorry to hear that. Hope you're ok today. Massive hugs to you.

InsomniaQueen · 02/08/2011 08:27

Oh summer sending huge hugs from casa iq for you today. So sorry that the little bean didn't make it - I hope you and DH have had a good snuggle together over night and hope that you are at home today relaxing with your feet up.

Definitely don't leave the thread - were all here for you no matter what and we would miss you loads if you went away.

Sending you Brew and Biscuit and thinking if you today!!!! Xxxx

BlueCrane · 02/08/2011 08:22

Oh summer I'm so so sorry to read your news Sad what an awful rollercoaster for you these last few months and especially the last few days...you should definitely go to your GP as important to have it on record as they will only start to investigate things after 3MC I think...but they have to know about them at the time IYSWIM...make sure you rest at home today and take it easy. Once again, so so sorry...

PieMistress · 02/08/2011 08:21

Oh summer, Sad Sad I am sending lots and lots of big bozies down your way xx I hope you are at home today and being gentle on yourself.

I would definitely go and see your GP and get your m/c on record. I know up here that if you are 35+ and have had 2 m/c they will do tests. Is that the same down your way? I would certainly push for it if they don't.

I have been doing lots and lots of googling and reading about the benefits (have yet to find any negatives?) of acupunture post m/c and for helping with fertility (conception, hormone levels etc). I had a short LP before having DS but since the m/c it's been ridiculous so I am hoping this might help. I'm pretty sure I have low progesterone levels and have read 50mg of B6 can help but i'm going to try the acupunture first. One thing I read about it was that is can increase blood flow to the uterus (marathon thanks so much for asking on the other thread for me, very much appreciated).

Better get back to work, have a meeting at 8.30am but I just wanted to nip on to see how summer was. I'll reply to everybody else when I get a mo later on xxx

Am thinking of you today summer xx

Summerbird73 · 01/08/2011 21:54

whatso crank up the metal as i am on the beer!

Summerbird73 · 01/08/2011 21:53

Ladies i am sorry to say that my bean has gone Sad the bleeding got heavier as the afternoon went on and i bought a CB digi. Went to Selfridges loos at 5.30pm, sorted myself out (ie loads of blood and pads..) and did the digi test. I got a BFN. The CB digis are super sensitive so i know for sure. I now have a super pad on and am cramping big style.

DH and i are devastated. I still went to my counselling session (she was lovely btw). Came home and DH has insisted i take tomorrow off. DMIL is a former midwife and she was wonderful, she reckons i should go to my GP, not that they can do anything but it should go on record that i have had 2 MCs in recent months and if it happens again they may refer me for hormone injections when i am preggy to help it along.

Sorry to bring the thread down Sad and blue dont be daft - we are all Confused about the whole TTC thing so you have caused no upset at all - just glad to see we are all a bit Hmm about it all!!

Marathon i am rooting for you! yippeeee to not liking tea and IQ congrats on the mahoosive boobies!!

once again i am staying on this thread - your support today has been awesome and DH is thanking you too Smile you have all really kept me on track so thank you. actually i think me and DH are going to crack on again this month - so tits out, head up and PMA all the way to (another) BFP!

BlueCrane · 01/08/2011 21:26

summer I just want to clarify that of course I am sooo hoping all is ok with you and that the bleeding has stopped, if I'm wrong re. the implantation thing mentioned above then feel free to be Angry with me but I know that for me I always like to try and have some idea in this whole mass of craziness that is TTC/pregnancy post MC what might be going on inside and wouldn't want you to be convinced of something if it turned out not to be quite right...again, if I'm wrong then I sincerely apologise and hope I've not caused any further upset....

whatsoever · 01/08/2011 20:18

summer much crossing of fingers and sympathetic head banging from me. I hope those newly purchased pads go unused as the bleeding buggers off.

BlueCrane · 01/08/2011 19:43

Sorry about this but I am a little confused Confused is it possible to get a bfp before implantation? I didn't think your body started producing hcg until the bean had implanted itself? In which case summer it sounds like it's more likely to be a hormonal thing around the time of your period rather than implantation

IQ yeah to growing out of your tops already Smile How's the prunes...are they still working their magic?

marathon yeah to going off tea Smile but how true your earlier statement is...I think that's one of the things I feel most robbed of TBH (aside from the obvious)...as I know that when, when not if, (PMA!!) I am expecting again it won't be as innocent and I don't know if I'll dare name it at all as we had such fun renaming it each week as we read the section in the book about what we thought was happening that week which now is really quite sad...

...but back to being positive we have 3 BFPs...no, wait... 4 including cuttlefish to look after on this thread now which is very exciting and several in the 2ww to encourage incessant testing and those of us SWI at every possible moment Grin

InsomniaQueen · 01/08/2011 19:08

marathon please read this below!!!

Early pregnancy symptoms include:

  • feeling sick or going off food that the woman previously enjoyed or a metallic taste in the mouth
  • constipation
  • fatigue
  • tender, larger breasts

I think this covers the pair of us Grin!!!

Xxxx

MarathonMama · 01/08/2011 18:10

Oh Summer I can only imagine what you must be feeling. I'm sure the girls are right and it's just implantation. Keeping everything crossed for you, the padded cell is here for as much head bashing as deemed necessary to keep you sane.

MissG you must be a right metal head right now (see what I did there). I hope there's some good news for you in the next few days.

Eve glad you enjoyed camp. Camping is not for me, if I can't plug in a hairdryer I'm not interested Grin

Blue your story about kiwis and lentils made me smile in a rueful way. How sad for us all to get so excited and then to be so let down. It makes me down that I'll never again have a relaxed and happy pregnancy. I loved being pg with DD.

IQ glad you're getting bigger! Is that your bazookers? I know faff all about cars I'm afraid, apart from the fact that mine is blue. I'll have a strawberry please Wink

Well, I have news.... I didn't want a cup of tea this morning! Un. heard. of. Is that a symptom do you think?

Waves to Pie, Shimmery and anyone I've missed.
