Summerbird73 · 03/08/2011 21:58

oops i posted that too quick

ok so my mum is being fucking useless a tad unsympathetic. she rang again tonight and said 'well yes i was talking to betty/agnes/florence (delete as appropriate for her colleagues name) and we were saying that in our day you didnt even know you were preggy until you had missed a period and the GP wouldnt even entertain you until you were circa 8 weeks yada yada. i said 'yes well i know that but i KNEW i was preggy - that is the difference' she then got all defensive and said 'yes well i am not taking anything away from the situation yada yada'

FFS i was so fucking angry i cut the conv short and said i had to make DH's tea Angry all i want is for her to say 'oh no i am so sorry pet (shes a geordie)' here is a virtual 'down the phone' hug from me. because that is what DMIL said

i have decided not to fucking bother in future - when i started this counselling she said that i could talk to her anytime - yeah right

[lush] but she makes me so fucking angry sometimes

Summerbird73 · 03/08/2011 21:52

shorty welcome back Smile so when is your AF due? i am thinking that if your sore boobies were a PG sign then the pg test would be a BFP - however - what kind of test are you doing? i find that the only reliable ones are the CB digi's although they are pricey - the boots digis are cheaper and just as good i think.

good to hear from you late i was hoping you would be lurking Smile DH and i decided to wait for one AF to get out of the way before starting again (the last time) but that is totally your choice, although i agree with manda that the lining may not sustain another pregnancy so soon. good luck though, i see you are in our camp of PMA all the way! how old are you BTW? there seem to be a few in the late 30's on this thread (or nearly 40s in my case!)

whatso did you go to the cinema? i went on my own after DS was born (DH looked after him obv!) and went to see The Lovely Bones - there was only me and another woman in the cinema. It was quite refreshing being on my own actually - you dont get DH digging you in the ribs for more popcorn etc! Do you go to the Trafford Centre or the Lowry? I go to either of those or the little one in Alti.

cuttle loving your online shop - you will be soooo grateful for that when your LO comes along - you will be doing midnight orders for sainsbos basics ginsuppliesifyouareanythinglikeme--- whilst feeding DC!!

shorty100 · 03/08/2011 20:52

Hi everyone, can I join? I used to post on this thread after my mc in jan but it got too much thinking about it all the time.

Fast forward about 7 months and after looking for any sign that I could be pregnant I really think I might be this month had bleeding last 2 days, only spotting but not af not till monday. Boobs are hurting and have felt and been sick last few days. Did test this morning and bfn. Its driving of slightly mad.

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 03/08/2011 20:28

Thanks Bluecrane and Manda
I would have been 12 weeks tomorrow (should have been having my scan Sad), started bleeding at 10 weeks, the baby hadn't made it past 4....
I've done a couple of pg tests since the bleeding started and all were bfn which kind of helped me accept the pregnancy was over. I just did the opk sticks on the off-chance (yes, I'm trying to get up-diffed as soon as I can - age-paranoia!) and 3 have shown the surge now... it's so difficult to know anything at this stage in the game isn't it - a friend of mine fell pg 2 weeks after her mmc, but hers was a natural one not an erpc. Good point about the lining, hadn't thought of that.

BlueCrane · 03/08/2011 20:05

late I've just realised that I totally didn't read your post properly at all Blush tired, too hot...sorry...disregard my comments about waiting for bfn etc etc!!

MandaHugNKiss · 03/08/2011 20:00

Unbelieveably hot here - I just took my temp and it's 37.9 which is TOO HOT.

late I would say it's possible you're about to O, but as you had an erpc yesterday, your linin wouldn't be able to sustain a pregnancy if you did catch the egg.

But, other than that, many women who use opks find they get a few surges/patches of fertile cm before but do not necessarily O in the cycle directly after the procedure. Can I ask how many weeks you were? And, I presume you're looking to ttc straight away?

Uh, I'm gonna expire I think.

BlueCrane · 03/08/2011 18:48

Hi late glad to hear you're feeling well and not got any pain...sometimes the bleeding will come and go so you may not be through it all yet, but here's hoping you might be! The extra line on the opk is likely to be caused by left over hcg still in your system I think rather than you being about to Ov! It took me 4.5 weeks from my ERPC to get a bfn on a pregnancy test though others have had shorter and longer waits...it's totally up to you but I would personally avoid unprotected sex until you have a bfn so that you know where you're up to (so if you then start testing to see if you get a bfp before AF arrives you can be confident that if you do get one it's new and not left over IYSWIM)...the docs will often say wait until after first AF for SWI but for me as soon as I knew the old hcg had gone I was happy to start SWI again!

LateToThisBabyMalarky · 03/08/2011 17:52

Hello ladies, had my ERPC yesterday and feel absolutely fine, no pain and pretty much no bleeding - phew! Can I pick your collective brains please?

I literally just did an opk strip and it's showing a feint second line - I know that's not a positive but it's something I've noticed in the past as a precursor to a positive... I got a negative pg test over a week ago (after first scan at EPU but before ERPC).... could I be about to get an LH surge? Am I getting a bit ahead of myself? Am I about to lay an egg already?! Confused

whatsoever · 03/08/2011 17:44

summer you can be styled in whatever way you wish to grace the poster - personally I have nothing against slutty Grin but cool is fine too!

Pie 4 sleeps until Ibiza! Went for a big toiletries shop today and booked my bikini wax - so I'm pretty much sorted Wink

DH called from Japan today. He sounded knackered but he was very pleased with himself as he had been brave and eaten raw octopus and tomorrow they are going to a big baseball game at the Tokyo Dome after work.

I am contemplating going to the cinema on my own tonight. DH didn't fancy Bridesmaids and I do so might as well go while he's away and I'm at a loose end. How odd that I have got to 30 and never cinema-d solo before.

cuttle when do they let you start the pregnancy yoga class? I only ask because I enquired about one in my area and they only took ladies from 14 weeks onwards, so I never actually made it there. I will definitely go WHEN (PMA: not if) I get upduffed again. You get all the usual benefits of yoga but it's also anecdotally supposed to make labour a wee bit easier. Presumably because you are bendier but who knows? Confused

CuttlefishDramas · 03/08/2011 15:06

MarathonMama Not sure when the next scan will be as it's going to be a private one and I'm still in "discussions" with DP as to when would be best. He's really keen on announcing the pregnancy now that we've seen the heartbeat, but I'm still a little bit petrified after the bleed. Maybe at week 10? Won't have the NHS scan till 12 weeks now. Glad your previous craving has come back - now put your feet up and enjoy more thai!

Summerbird I would be ignoring the advice to wait too, and getting straight back in that mosh pit!

Manda I must admit that the charts are completely beyond me, I'm very much a dtd every other day person! But am now metalling on your behalf because of the nipples and sickness...

Takes non-alcoholic cocktail from BlueCrane's tray. Thank you, I never get round to making these at home! Becks Blue is a really good non-alcoholic beer, but I'm a cider drinker, and haven't found a decent one yet.

Whatsoever I've just found a weekly pregnancy yoga class in my area, I'm mega excited to start, but as we haven't announced yet, I'm a bit paranoid they'll be someone I know there - how would I explain that one! Hope you and Babysaurus are feeling a bit less exhausted soon.

InsomniaQueen, I also know have a second kitchen, but I need to get a mini fridge as at the moment I'm demanding an activia type yogurt drink in the morning, and my DP has exactly 12 seconds to comply from the kitchen fridge. He doesn't understand that I need to drink it before I open my eyes!

Have just bought my groceries online again - have told DP that this is the only way we will be shopping for the next 8 months!

typo:

missg I am a rock chick at heart but I always have a little room for a bit of a dance so yay for Basement Jaxx ? but can I have rendezvous? As that one makes me bop my head like a loon Grin

Summerbird73 · 03/08/2011 13:18

Sorry have been a bit quiet today but trying to catch up on work. Feeling much better thank you all Smile I just want to get back to normal asap. The bleeding seems to be getting lighter (although still there) and I haven?t needed codeine today so no cramping (FX).

Blue I think you are the queen of the WTF whether it be WTF cycle WTF AF ? just basically WTF????? Although FX for your SWI last night Wink and yay for September!

whatso ?Poster girl?? Grin why thank you. If I am on the wall with the metalheads does that mean I can be a ?virtual? rock chick with flowing locks, tiny waist and big boobies? Obv I am clad in foxy leather and looking cool rather than slutty Hmm hope you enjoyed your girlie night, I quite like it when DH is away (as long as not for too long) as I have the house to myself (and DS who obviously has taken over the complete area as his toddler pad Smile )

Thank you for your nice words baby how is the decorating going?

IQ isn?t it funny that you only feel positive when you are feeling crappy?! I remember when pg with DS I was a complete metal head when I was feeling good ? I longed for vomiting and exhaustion Hmm And as for your morning ?kitchen? I am all astonishment! Grin

missg I am a rock chick at heart but I always have a little room for a bit of a dance so yay for Basement Jaxx ? but can I have rendezvous? As that one makes me bop my head like a look Grin

manda you have just given me a hangover with your list of booze! Sounds like a good night was had though Smile

I mean bitch witch! I'm sure she's probably butch too...

MarathonMama · 03/08/2011 12:18

Hello ladies, I have a confession, I've just sneaked into our local Thai restaurant for their lunch special. I've come straight from the gym and I'm wearing the associated clothes and sweat! The waiter is quite bemused. Interestingly, when pg with dd I craved Thai food like mad. At 8 months pg I walked two miles in my work lunch break to get a Thai food fix! I'm hoping this could be a sign....

Will be Back later when I'm not using this bloody phone.

missg sorry the butch witch is back, grrr

Happy Weds all!

PieMistress · 03/08/2011 12:07

Hi Peeps,

Not so sure about sunshine! It's thick horrible drizzly fog up here! Starting to clear a bit now though :). Well, i've made an appt with an acupuncturist on Monday night (when I will be CD12) to see if he can help with my short luteal phase, but from what i've been reading most of us seem to be having WTF cycles just now!! I have had spotting before the last 2 cycles (first one was only 2 days which was okay, but last one was nearly 5 days which isn't acceptable!!). Plus I ovulated 5 days earlier than usual too. WTF WTF WTF!

It's my birthday next weekend (39 - GAH!) so arranging a weekend away (not sure where yet) with hopefully lots of SWI opportunites (need to work on DS having a lie-in so we can enjoy some 'morning' time, oh I do love my optimism!). I am hoping that although i'm turning 39 my little eggs don't know they are turning 39 so won't suddenly become too decrepid anymore! It feels like the last 5 years of my life have gone by in a flash!

summer - how are you today? I have been thinking of you and your DH since your sad news. Your attitude is sterling though with PMA all the way!! As you've had 2 recurrent m/c though is there any way they will do tests are you are over 35? It was my local EPU that told me they would test me if it happened again (there is a re-current miscarriage clinic attached to the hospital). Have the cramps and bleeding subsided?

eve Ooo have a good time in Skeggie with your family! Grrr for AF arriving but as you say at least you know where you stand now and i'll be 2ww mentalling with you very soon!

blue sorry to hear AF has come back! She is a right old pain isn't she. I looked at my last cycle on FF yesterday and I had spotting all the way up until CD10! I then started spotting again on CD21 (Pah!) for 4/5 days before AF came and announced her evil arrival.

manda checked out your chart. Those cross hairs look right enough to me and CD25 as O date looks realistic? Your temps look much more stable now so I would say you are def in the luteal phase. My temps are being very eratic at the moment as it's so warm in the evenings and i'm just finishing AF so hoping they drop a bit as my coverline temp for the past 2 cycles has been 36.36 and i'm still way above that at the moment (temps haven't dropped below the coverline yet despite AF!) I did a test yesterday when AF finished and of course! BFN! And you and your DH have been busy! That puts our efforts to shame! :)

missg sounds like I am nearby in cycle dates to you (well, am on CD6 today so near enough!) we will have some 2ww mentalling together! Am liking the Basement Jaxx! Might I throw in some Groove Armada too? :)

whats how long until you are Ibiza bound? I am so envious! That sounds blissful right now!

marathon how are you feeling today?

cuttle sorry to hear about the bleeding but happy to hear mini cuttle is staying put!

IQ we have a memory foam mattress and I love it! I am a right old wriggler in bed and it stops me moving about so much (which pleases DP no end!) I used to live on cola cubes when I was feeling sick!

Waves to baby, farfallarocks, pixie, shimmery late and everybody else I might have missed !

MandaHugNKiss · 03/08/2011 12:04

Can I just add: burning nipples and feel kinda sick. If it's nothing, I have a record here so I don't get excited by it another month... if it IS something, this is my record of first noticing something might be up!

On no account must any of you start metalling on my behalf with the information! Grin

MandaHugNKiss · 03/08/2011 11:23

x-post with you missG Ugh to all the spotting and now AF. Hearing how we all kinda have the same wtf cycles does help me be a bit more zen about it all. It IS normal for it all to be messed up for a while (and I've just assumed that because my loss was later, it takes longer than everyone else to get back on track. Seem to be getting there, this cycle... although O was much later than usual!)

MandaHugNKiss · 03/08/2011 11:20

That's the thing, isn't it, blue ? We have to hold on to anything positive that we can because there are so many variables we can't control and as a control freak it's a nightmare for me! Sorry af is hanging around. You WILL get back on track.

Thinking of you, summer

Hey, iq it's not me with the teasing but fertility friend keeps changing its AI mind. Also, the type of ic I used that gave me that line (the same day I got the blaring postive opk), I've read elsewhere of them showing positive for other women as they O'd. Therefore, I'm 100% mostly kinda sure I am 6dpo now. Strangely enough, bfn this morning Wink

Last night went to dinner at this great portguese restaurant and had a cosmo followed by a v&(slimline)t and the 2 freebie sambuca/applejuice shots they give at the end in the hour and 20 we were there (ate gambas picante to start followed by an amazing steak in maderia sauce). That is more alcohol than I've drank in the last two years! I was squiffy giggly on the way home then went VERY tired... and the baby just wouldn't sleep! He kept lolling all over me (SO very hot last night!) and I was nearly crying for wantin to just sleep and cursing having drank anything at all I shall stick to being teetotal after that bad experience!

Missgiraffe1 · 03/08/2011 11:14

Morning all,

Yep, Marathon I think I just need to take a chill pill and let my body readjust. AF has arrived with a vengeance today Angry. So that was 4 days of spotting (which I've never had before AF pre-MC) then AF arrives on CD 30, 2-3 days later than ususal. I suppose I shouldn't have expected everything to just spring back to normality - especially after almost 5 weeks to get a BFN and over 7 to get first AF after ERPC. Seems the pre-AF spotting sounds quite common though?

Eve looks like we're very close in cycles then!! Will look forward (??) to much metalling in 3 weeks time with you!

IQ my DD's not so much a little one anymore, she's 15 Smile Still not nice seeing her sick right enough. But she's much better now, although my Bro has gone down with the bug now. My DD got it from my nephew, then his Mum got sick, and my Bro jjst text to say he';s been projectile vomitting all morning (his will be way worse of course). Am hoping I've escaped it!!

Blue nice touch with the ice cold G&T with lime. I hate it when you get one in a bar with no lime. Shouldn't be allowed. Is that you now in full SWI mode??

Cuttle you must've got some fright. Glad to hear all is well though Smile and you got a sneaky peek at your tiny person Smile

Pie nice touch with the big bozies! I had never heard that until I became friends with some people from the North East.

Manda, Have never charted but hope it becomes clear for you soon (preferably with a bfp in a weeks time Grin )

And last, but not least Summer. Hope you are still staying strong, poster girl. But if you need to have a rant, a scream, a weep, or a right good old full-on metalling "F this" episode, we are all here - with all varieties of booze and tunes to help you out! Can I be contraversial and suggest a little change and suggest some Basement Jaxx?? Because I certainly don't have a clue where my heads been at these past few weeks, but I do know that you lot have helped me figure, or even just ride it, out. Cheers ladies!!

Hi everyone else Whatso, baby, shimmery, poppy and anyone else lurking. x

BlueCrane · 03/08/2011 11:03

Morning all... time for a Brew

baby hope you?re doing ok?is everything starting to settle down physically now?

IQ your morning ?kitchen? sounds fab!! LOL at DH wanting you to take him tea as well?he should be waiting on you!!

summer how are you feeling today? Have the cramps died down at all? Are you back to work? Thinking of you!!

Grrr?well?SHE is back again this morning?maybe it?s a morning thing? Hmm Nothing yesterday afternoon/evening but then back again today?ho?hum?trying to see it as ?normal? but still rather frustrating?but Wink we did manage some SWI last night and I also worked out that if we don?t conceive this cycle and if my cycle is around 30 days then I should be ovulating while we?re on holiday in September which will be perfect for lots of relaxed SWI!! So I am back with the PMA Grin

InsomniaQueen · 03/08/2011 07:40

Right really must catch up with everyone today - I have woken up and have my 'kitchen' as DH is calling it all ready with my early morning supplies. I have crackers if needed, water my dry throat during the night, a kettle and my ginger and lemon tea bags. Am currently sleeping in the spare bed cos it's more comfortable (memory foam) and DH took one look at it all and said "you look all cosy here.....but when you put the kettle on in the morning don't forget to bring me a cup in bed"......I can't repeat here what I said but I feel he got the message....ha ha ha Grin!!!!

summer firstly how are you doing today? Hope you are well and staying positive. As for not waiting a month I don't think it makes much difference - best thing to do is pamper yourself and see how it all goes!!! Xxxx

blue sorry the witch came back to get you - the image of that lonely pad in the bottom of your bag also made me giggle!!!

MissG how is your little one now? Hopefully was only a 24 hour thing.....bless them it is horrible seeing them like that.

cuttlefish glad to see that the little one is staying strong - will be keepings fingers crossed for you up to the 12 week mark then hopeful all will be well from there!!!

whatso sending positive vibes that your cycle sorts itself out and doesn't go for a record 37 days again.......crazy times!!!!

marathon am loving your new diet of crisps, crackers and chocolate.....all this seems to be pointing towards good things. Currently eating a cracker in bed to settle my tummy - it's all too random - woke up yesterday and felt amazing (so obviously started to worry)....I've woken up today and feel like a bag of hell (so obviously feel more relaxed) but Im not complaining I feel blessed to still be pg (as far as I know) and so will endure all of this with a smile on my face and a spring in my step!!!!

Manda your just teasing us all now...he he he!!! Well hoping that all this waiting will be for an exciting reason!!!

eve welcome to the SWI part of the padded cell.....glad things seem to be moving forward and I'm hoping for good news soon from you!!! Hope you have a great time in Skegness.

Hi to baby, shimmery, poppy, pie - right I suppose I better get up and get ready for work......don't really want to go but hey ho I need the money right now for all DH's grand baby plans!!!!!

Love to all - will catch up later at work where I know all of you will be posting like mad!!!!

babysaurus · 02/08/2011 23:17

Bloody hell - I have not logged on for 24 hours and I now can't keep up!

Firstly, Summer, I cannot not add anything that anyone else has managed not to add but want to also add, I hope you are okay. From your posts you seem relatively positive but, as I have realised, this is an excellent place when you feel less than postive.

I'm going to go now as I can't add anything that anyone else hasn't already (and am also exhausted!) but wanted to send you hugggs.

x

ps fucking mother nature!

whatsoever · 02/08/2011 22:26

Blue thanks for the GnT, much appreciated Grin

Summer you are my heroine today. You may be our PMA postergirl. There you are up on the wall of the padded cell - along with Page, Plant, Axl Rose, Ozzy Osbourne (I've run out of heavy metal peeps now!)

Bit bored tonight. Tried to get to a yoga class but couldn't finish work early enough so missed it. DH in Japan so ate random food, watched loads of telly and generally lazed around. Dirty plates are still residing on kitchen work surfaces and the washing machine needs emptying - must get a spurt of energy before hitting the sack!

BlueCrane · 02/08/2011 20:51

Evening all

Summerbird73 · 02/08/2011 20:46

well let me be the first to congratulate you on your AF eve Grin at least you are on the rocky road of metalling moshing and all round rocking!

manda thank you again for your words, i am trying to work out how i am going to explain this to my mother, but as you say 'in her day' they didnt know until circa 8 weeks that they were preggy. as i explained to DMIL last night - that is not disputed but i know my cycles and i knew on Friday night that i was PG (she did understand this BTW but then she is a nurse/former midwife)

I checked your charts manda but must confess that i aint got a clue what it is all about, i wanted to understand it though Grin i have never used FF before you see so am a bit of a novice (i may be tempted to join at some point)

well i located the codeine and am all fluffiness Smile Hmm seriously though i feel a lot better tonight. will prob be at work tomorrow thereforeishouldbeonmnmuchmorefrequently
