Boob Come to the Darkside - we have cookies IC's.

(IC's are internet cheapy test strips. You can get them from ebay or amazon and they are MUCH cheaper than store bought (even taking into consideration any bogof deals, even on own brand tests)

I've used these before - gave me a bfp with DS3 at 10dpo

Boobeez · 07/08/2011 14:30

Hey everyone. Feeling pretty poo today. Did a clear blue digital and got a bfn :0( was so sure, but suppose this is not my month. Also enjoyed the random thread pie . Keep 'em coming! I have spent so much on tests!!!

Ok, so totally off topic, but this thread has brought a smile to my face today!

PieMistress · 07/08/2011 10:31

manda the list is on this thread, it's split across a couple of posts. My GP has agreed to do 2/3 of them, the others she didn't see the benefit of but i'm happy she has agreed to do the majority of them www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1268915-1-year-of-trying-GP-appointment-Monday-what-to-ask/AllOnOnePage#26754130 (thanks fallfallarocks).

I'm now mentalling though that there might be some damage/scarring in my womb after my awful delivery with DS (long labour, vicious failed forceps then CS) which is stopping any eggs from implanting. Oh dear when I will stop!

There is 10mg of B6 in the conception vits i'm taking but I think you need 50mg for it to make a difference, i've read it should be in a B-Vitamin complex though so that you don't have too much of one B vitamin over another (IYSWIM) but I know Holland & Barratt do them. Sorry AF arrived - GAH GAH GAH!! She's such an evil cow isn't she!! Looks like another WTF cycle for me though as this time last month I had all the ov signs but none so far!

Summerbird73 · 07/08/2011 10:15

baby you are thinking of netmums - they are all text speak morons and arent allowed to swear as they get told off by the teacher - oh but they are allowed to be homophobic, racist, daily mail reading numpties! Grin

manda Angry about AF - right then, pamper yourself today and have a bit of pate and blue cheese for good measure!

whatso have an amazing time - make the most of a relaxing holiday - not to mention getting trollied Grin and see you when you get back

having a chilled out morning with DS and DH - we are all still in PJs Smile

MandaHugNKiss · 07/08/2011 08:57

Ouch. (that is NOT my ET impression)

Af indeed arrived sometime whilst I was sleeping and was kind enough to bring cousin Pain with her. FFS.

Right, this month I'm trying high dose complex B vits too and if I still have a 9 day lp then I'll definitely harangue talk to the gp. I will take that list, please, Pie

babysaurus · 06/08/2011 22:39

A week? From my, admittedly limited, experience a LOT may have happened in a week!

See you soon xx

whatsoever · 06/08/2011 22:34

baby manda summer pie thank you so much. Not sure how I'd manage without being able to vent here.

DH is back from Japan now and I've had a good moan about BottleGate. As suggested by manda it has gone in a drawer in the kitchen for hopefully future use.

Off for a week now so looking forward to catching up when I get back. Hope to see some new BFPs and other good news! Grin

babysaurus · 06/08/2011 21:45

I have to say, I bloody love MN! I have never done the forum thing before as, and I realise this is pure snobbery, it almost always seems to be text speaking morons (Christ, that sounds bad!) and I do think MN attracts a better class of poster! Wink

Summerbird73 · 06/08/2011 21:32

which of course it is!

Summerbird73 · 06/08/2011 21:30

dont worry baby my mother has 'form' for this. she grew up with a crap father and was divorced herself by 24yo so reckons we should all just 'get over things' - that is fair enough, i know she had a shit time when she was younger but that doesnt take away from what is happening now Sad

marathon soooo glad your scan went well, i understand your caution but remember - you are pregnant today Smile

whatso i know how you must have felt opening that parcel, did your neighbour say anything given that it was posted on the side of the parcel? anyway you enjoy ibiza and yes - pack those bottles away as you WILL need them (we bought some avent bottles in Feb when i was PG - then had the MC in March but we have packed them away - DH doesnt like to waste money!)

blue i too work with a lot of PG women - one of them is due the same day i was in October Sad one day last week i seemed to bump into a PG woman every 5 mins (probably not but that is what it felt like!)

manda quit foraging in your fanjo and leave it alone FFS! Wink the more you 'prod' about the more you will be messing with nature Grin aaaanyway - i shall be checking when i can tomorrow for fanjo/AF updates!

waves to one and all - sorry for not name checking but have had two glasses of Wine and a bit Confused

i know there are some potential BFP's on the way so keeping everything crossed for you all!

ps-did anyone see JustineMumsnet on the news today Smile they were celebrating 20 years of t'interweb and they were holding MN up as a huuuuge success story Smile Smile

babysaurus · 06/08/2011 20:25

Marathon I am delighted! Have only just managed to get to the PC and check but have been wondering how you got on, in a slightly nervous way. Roll on the magic 12 weeks, eh! But so far so good, which is wonderful news!

Whatso your post made me fill up a bit. I hope a good cry has made you feel a bit better (as well as circumstances allow.) I think Manda's response was lovely and yes, you WILL be needing them in the not too distant future, you WILL YOU WILL!

Bluecrane I can kind of empathise with your up and down-ness. I have spent the day with my cousin and his very heavily pregnant girlfriend, and both sets of their parents. I haven't seen my aunt and uncle since I miscarried and they knew about the trip to hospital etc - both gave me a hug when they saw me, they don't so much normally, and I started to fill up a bit. Also, seeing my cousins girlfriend was a mixture - I am really excited for them (due date 29th August!) but it did also ram it home to me that we were no longer in the postion they are, and would not be for some time even in the best case scenario. When I had the serious wobbles after the BFP it was their enthusiasm which helped me a massive amount - they were really chuffed, there would have been only 4 months difference in age etc etc - and it hit me once again that now that will never happen. I loved the idea, especially as they are moving over to where we are, of the little one's hopefully growing up together and so on. Now, if we try again it will be at least 12 months from now and, realistically (what with potential cycle's being all over, plus DH not wanting to for various reasons) probably much longer. Sad

Summerbird I hope I am not speaking too much out of turn when I say that your mum sounds like she is being thoroughly tact and thoughtless about everything. Am very sorry to hear it! Just because it 'was early' doesn't make it any less wanted or planned, does it! Honestly...

Am reading the thread on and off tonight. Too much happens on an almost hourly basis to comment / reply to everyone - it's ridiculous! Maybe I need to start taking notes!

MandaHugNKiss · 06/08/2011 19:16

marathon Woo hoo! I understand your caution, of course, but for now? Despite your symptoms including exhaustion, food adversion, random dizziness 'lack of symtoms' things are good! Did you get a piccie?

whatso Aw, that's a curve ball, for sure. Crying is absolutely a valid response. Now, perhaps tuck the stuff away as you will SURELY be needing it at some point Anyway, Ibiza beckons! Have a fab SWI-filled time Wink

pie It's so very easy for someone who isn't obsessed ttc to say relax. Just saying 'relax' doesn't help it happen - how about your doctor prescribes something to make it so Or at least suggest things (like acupunture) or distractions that may help. Bah to impotent comments! (from quacks, not me... although quite how helpful I'm being I'm not sure! Grin) Also, home made pizza dough? The nearest I got to that was making a pizza on a big rectangular base of filo pastry. It's nicer than it sounds... I only did it once though. WHen my older two were little, if they had a friend over for tea I would buy the ready made pizza bases along with lots of toppings and then let them make their own. Like a fun activity and dinner all-in-one!

blue Where is our so that we can place ourselves in it? In all seriousness I just cling onto the hope it WILL all come right... I just lose grip on it sometimes.

So it's... ten past seven. Not even a hint of spotting yet. Oh, and I've been checking almost every hour. What the feck is going on with my damn body? Perhaps I'll wake up to af's overnight arrival. It can't be implantation, can it? It is just too precipitous of a drop over the last two days. And if af arrives tomorrow that will be exactly the same as last month. Jeeeez. Metal, much?

PieMistress · 06/08/2011 17:38

Hugs whats, it so sucks - no matter what we do to try and distance ourselves from any more pain there seems to be these curve balls that come back and give us these horrible harsh reminders! :(

blue I can't imagine what it must be like having pregnant collegues, especially one that is due around the time you would have been. I would find that incredibly hard to to deal with, in fact I probably wouldn't be able to! :( My GP commented yesterday that I seemed 'very focused' on TTC and it would probably help if I just relaxed a bit more (which she said acupunture would help with, she couldn't comment on if it would help my short LP or not though). It's easier said than done though isn't it!

Manda my temp didn't dip below the coverline until today at CD9 WTF! So, my temp has stayed above the coverline from my last cycle, all through AF and up until today! Very Odd! Mind you it has been stifling warm at night, not sure if that's got anything to do with it or not

boob I am away to bake for a charity day at work on Monday. Well, everybody is baking fine pieces for folks to buy so I will no doubt pig out on everybody else's delights! :)

marathon so happy to hear the scan went well! xx

Dough is rising for home made pizza tonight :)

Waves to all! xx

whatsoever · 06/08/2011 17:18

Thanks boobeez I had a good cry, had a word with myself and got on with packing Smile

Boobeez · 06/08/2011 15:41

Hey whatsoever. You poor thing :( Thinking of you hun. You're not on your own.

Boobeez · 06/08/2011 15:37

Hi girls. Great news marathon That must be a great relief for you. Stay positive manda. Right now is the hardest part and you and everyone on here will look back on this as a challenging time in our lives when we are through it and have our babies. Sorry to go all intense! I really believe it will work out though.
Your situation sounds tough blue I am kind of avoiding one of my friends who has a baby and who the last time I saw her, I told her I was pregnant. Ho hum.
I am on cycle day 29 right now dating from mc and just want af or bfp now! Will not test again for another week.
Did some more baking today -butter whirls which are swirly biscuits. They have made me feel a bit sick though. They are basically pure fat and sugar! Biscuit

whatsoever · 06/08/2011 15:30

marathon so pleased for you that all is well so far

Blue room on that bench in the padded cell for another one? Last night and this morning felt a few twinges on my side too. I'm on CD15 so it could fit - DH back from Japan tonight before setting off for Ibiza tomorrow - hope he's not too knackered for some SWI (feel a bit mean for even thinking that but we get to Ibiza late tomorrow night so don't want to "waste" two nights Blush

Main reason for requiring a cell stay is thus though: I got over enthusiastic when pg and signed up for loads of stuff from the Emma's diary I got from the midwife plus the free bag of stuff from Argos etc. Anyway just saw my next door neighbour who took a parcel for me yesterday and I wasn't expecting anything. It said "Philips avent" on the side and my heart sunk. I went inside and opened it - a baby bottle with a personalised leaflet saying "Philips avert family welcomes [insert real name]'s family".

Tears are running down my face. I know this company couldn't know but it feels like being punched in the chest Sad

Missgiraffe1 · 06/08/2011 13:28

Yeah Marathon !! So glad all is well. x

BlueCrane · 06/08/2011 12:25

Great news marathon Grin enjoy your lunch!

manda I can sympathise with that 'lost' feeling...the whole process is just v hard work physically and emotionally...I thought I was doing ok but feel really drained by the whole thing and quite lost too...that feeling of 'do i just have to wait for it all to sort itself out, should I go and talk to someone/GP, or just wait and round the circle goes'. DH moaned at me this morning for being too clinical and scientific about it all as I was stressing about when/if I would ovulate this cycle and not wanting to get AF at the end of the cycle and feel that we hadn't SWI at the right time to give ourselves the best chance and he kept saying 'can't we just do it when we feel like it?' which is fine except that he works crazy shifts that are different every day and we could easily go a week without any SWI as we will hardly see each other so there needs to be some planning...but now I feel as though I need to internally plan and then surrespticiously get him to SWI on the days I feel are important...if I can work out when they are...oh this is all a total mess with your head time...

InsomniaQueen · 06/08/2011 12:07

marathon whoooo hooo!!!!!! Just been sat in a breastfeeding session with my SIL and being surrounded by bumps.....so happy for you - hopefully that will be us in 8 months time!!!! Xxxxx

MarathonMama · 06/08/2011 11:41

Just a quickie as in the car. All ok, heartbeat there and measurements spot on. Phew! Feeling relieved but won't be fully reassured until the 12 weeks scan given that our early scan was ok last time. Off for lunch...

OP posts:
BlueCrane · 06/08/2011 10:55

Morning all...well, so much for all my PMA this morning been really weepy and stressed out with it all again! I think seeing the growing bumps of my work colleagues say in day out is really getting to me...esp as one of them is due the same week I would've been Sad it just feels as though we can't plan anything and have no idea how long it will take again this time and my body clearly isn't back to normal with all this post AF spotting etc...had twinges near left ovary yesterday but no sign of any ewcm so who know's if I'm ovulating at the moment or not...then again no DTD this morning as I was so stressed out and PIL arriving any mo so no time for hanging around...in fact doorbell just gone so must go!

But just v quickly... whatso have a fab holiday and marathon hope all ok!

PieMistress · 06/08/2011 10:20

Just a quicky hiya! Am home alone with DS this morning and he's causing havoc!

marathon - thinking of you this morning!

manda - I went to see my GP yesterday about my very short LP (8 days last month) she was actually really good, I went armed with a bunch of blood tests I wanted her to do (list recommended on another thread, I can pass it on?) and she agreed to most of them. I have to go for another CD21 test when most of the other tests will be done apart from the CD3 ones (LH & FSH or something). I think they prescribe Clomid for a short LP but there must be something else as I think that's pretty strong when you ovulate but just have a short LP. There is a also a 'short LP gang' thread on here somewhere I sometimes lurk on. She did say that most hormonal imbalances can be sorted though so maybe it's worth a visit to your GP? I am also going to try acupuncture on Monday as I've read it can also help - will report back!

Waves to all the newbies - you couldn't find a more supportive bunch of ladies!! xx
