Hello! Just miscarried and ready to start again, come and join us...

OP posts:
BlueCrane · 12/08/2011 07:52

Morning baby weddings definitely have all those excuses and you definitely deserve those things even without the wedding excuse! Afraid the bleed sounds like old stuff so likely still leftover bits from MC I'm afraid...though could I guess be an eartly warning of AF Confused nothing ztraightforward after MC I'm afraid! How's it all this morning?

boobeez any news?

Off to work so will catch up in a bit!

babysaurus · 11/08/2011 23:24

Fimo is going really well, thanks. Unfortunately though, there is an unfortunate side effect which is that the amount of concentration it takes makes a glass of Wine almost irresistable! So, the 'no booze during the week' rule went out the window after two days. Ooops! A wedding is a good excuse to get dressed up, see old friends and, er, get pissed is it not...? And, my god, I need that at the moment!

TMI alert - I went to the loo earlier and it was a bit red again (the dark red / brown stringy bits.) Not had this for a week. Does this mean AF or is it still MC bleeding? Confused and don't like it!

BlueCrane · 11/08/2011 23:07

Totally agree baby especially when life's been as tough as it has for all on here...having a splurge on a great outfit and feeling fab for the day can make a huge difference to how you're feeling! How are the fimo models going?

babysaurus · 11/08/2011 23:03

Weddings are indeed 'tricky like that.' I wish they weren't though! Also, re clothes, nobody would give a toss what I turned up in but it is SO nice walking into somewhere feeling fab, don't you think?

BlueCrane · 11/08/2011 22:18

boobeez definitely worth a re-test in the morning...and patiently waiting for control line and the requisite amount of time for the result to appear...then you can hurry along to tell us all what it says!!! Smile

baby wedding's are tricky like that...in thinking about the NY one I've also been thinking 'will I need a whole new outfit?' 'How posh will it be?' 'What if I'm pg by then...will anything I have now fit!?' and so on, on top of the actual cost of getting there, hotels etc!

Had a lovely time trying out my new electric hand whisk making raspberries and cream cupcakes from my new hummingbird bakery book this evening which has been fun! Though DH has just rung to say he's stuck at work so no idea what time he'll be home looks as though I might be asleep and not see him tonight Sad

Pie have a fantastic birthday here's hoping for lots of birthday SWI with ovulation!!! Hope you weren't stuck at work too late.

Glad to see things getting a bit busier on here...IQ and I were feeling a bit lonely!

babysaurus · 11/08/2011 21:37

Boobeez - Retest, retest, retest, RETEST. But, of course, you'll do that anyway! Grin

Hello all. Have been quite busy and when not busy, I have been glued to the news hence the lack of posting. I have been dipping in and out though. Am feeling a bit guilty at the moment as I am off to a wedding next weekend (20th) and have bought things for it which really I cannot afford. I feel like a blow out though, as does DH, so am now trying to justify spending money on things that are not strictly neccessary (like entire outfits to feel like the bee's knee's in) due to this. Its not working very well though but not enough to make me want to take them back!

Bluecrane I can empathise with the NY wedding situation. The one we are going to is a mere 4 hours drive away but it still costs too much for us at the moment really, if we are being sensible (which we are not - see above paragraph for details.)

Boobeez · 11/08/2011 20:54

Hey everyone. In a bit of a funny situation.. Did a lloyds pharmacy test early this morning with bleary eyes cos I'd been experiencing a funny 'burning' feeling in my boob, so though that was odd. Did the test this morning and didn't wait much time at all and it was neg. Then later saw it in the bin and realised that I hadn't waited the full 10 minutes and hadn't waited til the control lone appeared. And the test has a positive result now.. Instructions say not to take any notice of readings after 10 mins. Wot do you reckon? Should I retest or just let it go? Xxx

PieMistress · 11/08/2011 18:40

BIG WAVE!

Sorry I am still here, and STILL AT WORK! Grrrrrr, just not good enough. Am most peeved. Have been on an intensive course for 2 days (P6 software if anybody else uses it) so huge backlog of work to get through before I go home as am off tomorrow!!! Whoop, we are going to Aviemore for a long weekend to celebrate my 39th 21st Birthday Grin

(PS Summer am not taking the herbs he has given me, just sticking with the acupuncture, i'm too paranoid to take something where I can't read what's on the box Confused.)

Fingers crossed I ov this weekend so am planning lots of birthday SWI! Grin

Sorry for me post, my brain is utterly fried so will stay till 7pm then that's absolutely enough, I don't get paid near enough for this malarky!

Have a fab weekend all xx

BlueCrane · 11/08/2011 17:21

x-post missg help yourself to cake! NYC looking a little up in the air as the costs are mounting up...turns out the wedding is the same weekend as the NY marathon Angry which has mahoosively increased hotel prices which is rather irritating! DH going to chat to the Groom to see if there's any family/friends we might be able to stay with for a few nights as it's getting a bit too pricey which is a shame.

Sorry to hear about your missed SWI opportunities too...I seem to finally be getting somewhere on the EWCM front but need it to wait 48hours as can't get down to anything until the weekend due to DH's shifts...grrrr...Now CD19 so looks as though I'm in for a long cycle again!

BlueCrane · 11/08/2011 17:16
Smile

Huge congrats cuttle on 8 week heartbeat - fantastic news!! And good that you now know the reason for the bleeding, I'm sure that is comforting even if there is still a small risk associated with it.

IQ great about your friends too...are they people you see often who you can 'share the PG/new baby journey' with a bit? Nice to have people in RL due at the same time as well as on here! Also I will need to re-read your post to my ovaries later as didn't think reading it aloud was really appropriate in the office!! Reminded me that DH gave his swimmers and my eggs a talking to at the weekend and said they really needed to get it together and be friends Grin cheered me up and made me Smile when i was feeling a bit down!!

Waves to summer good to hear from you and help yourself to cakes...still lots left I think and I might bake more varieties to tempt the rest of our thread-buddies back! Sorry to hear about your colleague at work.

Hmm wondering what else I might acheive other than MN before I go home in 15mins...ought to do some more work really I guess!!

Missgiraffe1 · 11/08/2011 17:16

Iam and Late Sorry!!! Hope you are well.

Missgiraffe1 · 11/08/2011 17:13

Hi!! Still here. Also been mega busy recently. This is a particularly busy time of year in my field of work, so extra hours and evening work are the norm - have even missed body pump for almost 2 weeks! I do not like the fact that work is getting in the way of my MN chat Angry but also do not wish to be unemployed Grin Grin

Blue oooooh, NYC!! Jealous Envy , I am dying to go. DD wants to go Xmas shopping there but with the TTC, it's so hard planning anything. Wish I had unlimited funds and could just say to her one weekend "hey, lets book flights to NY for next week"..... aaaah, I can dream. Wonder how Whatso's getting on in Ibiza! The weather here is so grim. Heard on the radio that Glasgow had it's wettest day since records began. Well, it sure felt like it when I was sailing skiting driving down the road last night!

Cuttle although it must be a bit of a nightmare going through that bleeding, it's very exciting that you have seen your wee pip again, and reached that milestone. Fab news. Keeping everything (well, not everything) crossed for you. You get the Thursday 'PMA Queen' badge, which of course comes with a massive muffin of your choice Biscuit Smile

Hehe IQ Will get working on it straight away, boss! (Too scared not too) My DD's dad called to ask if he could take her to Ireland until Monday. I was like "hell, yeah" (think of all the SWI DH and I could get in - kept that bit to myself Blush ) but then he called back later saying it was all off again Sad. I mean, I love my DD, but 4 nights on cd 10-14 would have been put to very good use. Not only that, but he can't take her tomorrow night as per usual as he's going somewhere else now Confused Buggerlugs!

Summer your poor colleague Sad. I've been to Beanscene today, so have a muffin Biscuit on me.

Hi to Marathon (how are you doing??), Manda Eve Pie Baby* Shimmery Boobeez Shorty Jambo Farfall (have a horrible feeling I've missed someone but my eyes are going skewwiff scrolling back through previous pages! Sorry if I have!)

CuttlefishDramas · 11/08/2011 15:39

Hello all, I have been super metalling this week as keep bleeding (TMI) including clots and cramps. Had a third scan yesterday, and they can now see bleeding on the uterine wall, next to, but not part of the pregnancy sac. They told me they can see echos, which mean clots, so I'm likely to have quite a bit more bleeding. There's a slim chance that the bleeding may pull the pregnancy sac out with it, but EPAC said it really is rare.

So I'm feeling a bit calmer today, and now I know where it's coming from, I may actually be able to stay sane, ignore the bleeding, and make it to my 12 week scan. I'm now 8+4 and to me that 8 week heartbeat was a massive milestone.

Sorry I haven't caught up with all the posts, but I'm going to take some of the cake that's been offered and go curl up on one of the sofas....

InsomniaQueen · 11/08/2011 14:42

hello all......feeling brilliant today as have heard about two more pregnancies today (one a lady i used to work with and the other a really nice work mate) - so happy for them both as they have had lots to over come (one was a resistant DH which can be pesky when your super broody and the other has hit the magic 40 and had a few MC's and a MMC and unexplained infertility so was worrying she had missed the boat) can't believe it.....sat here with a huge Grin on my face.....soooooo happy for them especially my magic 40 year old she absolutely deserves it!!!!

So im sending a special message to everyone on this thread waiting to become updiffed (bring your eggs closer to the screen) LADY EGGS ARE FOR MAKING BABIES SO GET ON WITH YOUR JOB AND START MAKING BABIES......right hopefully that has done the trick - now im going to sit back with my lucozade and tap my sickness bands to stave off my current sickly feeling!!!!

Love to all!!! xxxxx

Summerbird73 · 11/08/2011 13:17

Ok I?m back!

blue yippee for NYC! I went there in November 2006 with my friend and it was awesome, we couldn?t find a show we wanted to see so went to Radio City Music Hall Christmas spectacular and it was wonderful Smile and congrats on completing your assignment, I know that feeling when you can sit back and relax with a Wine

baby how creative of you! I like making cards and I know how satisfying it is when your ?creation? is complete.

manda my first two counselling sessions have gone really well, the hardest thing is getting yourself there, once I am on that couch I am talking for England, it is so therapeutic (incidentally I haven?t spoken much about the significant life events so far ? it has mainly been about my relationship with my family Hmm but that is all me!). I know what you mean about your body reminding you about why you are messed up Sad

missg loving your calm before the storm!! Grin

shimmery thank you for your words, I have come to realise (through my counsellor) that the root is that my mum just doesn?t get it and never has done, I just have to accept it and not expect too much. Well done for getting through the funeral, I know how hard it is at the moment to deal with other life events as well as your own as each thing can trigger deeper emotions. On a lighter note you made me PMSL at work at your ?climax? story!!!!!!! You go girl! Grin

pie nice to know us oldies are not alone Hmm thanks to your acupuncturist! Good luck with that ? he does sound lovely. And yes be cautious about the Chinese herbs, I used to prosecute for the MHRA and Chinese Herbalists were our bread and butter Sad PM me if you want more info

Well some of the shops around my work had smashed windows (Manchester) but generally it wasn?t too bad, unlike the poor people of Croydon and around London Sad Angry

I saw one of my neighbours go off to hospital with her labour bag yesterday Sad I shed a little tear but am refusing to get down over it. I also heard that a colleague of mine is off sick as she has had a MC and is not dealing very well with it. I am sending her a card with my email address if she wants to chat..

Waves to eve boobeez IQ and everyone else, and apologies for my leave of absence!

Summerbird73 · 11/08/2011 12:50

i'm here i'm here

sorry i have been awol again, have been mega busy at work and-looting-kurt-geiger-in-manchester

am gonna read through and do a full catch up in a bit!

InsomniaQueen · 11/08/2011 12:05

Hi blue not sure where the heck everyone else is........i keep logging on sporadically and there are no new messages - by this part of the week we normally have at least 2 new pages!!!!

Getting worried that your all out:
a)looting
b)rioting
c)SWI to the extent that you cant leave your beds
d)hiding your metalling.......unacceptable when i currently feel so insane
e)have run off and started another thread and left me and blue all alone

If you are doing a) or b) shame on you Angry - if its c) i will let it go this time, if its d) or e) then i shall really start crying!!!!! Sad

So far have nearly lost my temper twice - neither thing was that bad but I just felt my blood rising and wanted to leap over my desk and smack this person in the chops.......had to ring DH who told me "hormones or not you dont mess with a pg lady"......god i love him!!!! Grin

BlueCrane · 11/08/2011 11:10

Morning...helloooo...annnyoone out theerree?? Goodness it's quiet on here this week! Hope everyone's ok?

Nothing much to report here...plodding along, hoping the EWCM/Ovulation holds off til the weekend when we can get some SWI in and then start the dreaded 2ww!

BlueCrane · 10/08/2011 19:16

Evening all...all quiet here last night thankfully and my friends are back in their flat after lending a hand with the clean up operation on their street yesterday.

Finally think there might be some CM making an appearnace...not yet to EWCM status but that's not a bad thing as there won't be any SWI action until the weekend! CD18 today though so looks as though I might be looking at a CD25 ovulation again which means my cycle could be back in the late 30's!! Oh joy...still aaaages to wait before I can POAS!!

IQ glad you and friends/family are all ok! Hope you managed to find something to wear for your meeting...I've actually got a bag of mat clothes stashed in the loft which I'd already bought before I got the MC news so am looking forward to when i can get them down again!

eve hope all well on the IoW tomorrow and enjoy your time off!! We're off to IoW for a few days in September for our anniversary.

missg hope your Dad enjoyed his birthday cake!

manda how are you doing? Hope all quiet with you last night too!

shimmery that's quite some SWI action - I giggled so much i had to read the bed incident out to DH who thought it was hilarious!!

pie glad to hear the acupuncture went well...interesting what you said about your feet - another one with super cold feet here!! Strangely enough I am often cold...except when I was pregnant and turned into a hot water bottle!

boobeez hope the waiting isn't driving you too crazy! I had to wait 6.5 weeks after ERPC before I got AF I'm afraid (though took me 4.5 weeks to get a bfn!)

Waves to marathon, cuttle, whatso, baby, summer and anyone I've missed...off to help a friend strip the wallpaper off in her hallway (though actually fancy vegging out on the sofa as am still tired from lack of sleep earlier in the week!)

eve34 · 10/08/2011 16:01

Afternoon all.

Hope everyone is well. Can't believe the trouble that is happening up and down the country. What is the world coming to. So very sad.

Shimmery - that poor bed what did you do to it :-) Very funny. Imagine if this is your month and you fondle remember t DTD that did it would be the bed falling apart on.

Pie - good to hear the acupuncture went well. Fingers crossed it does the trick.

Blue - hope all is well with you and your friends. My sister lives in Ealing, but has gone on holiday this week so is safe.

Miss G - birthday cake - does that mean it is your birthday???

Well nothing to report here, working tomorrow on the Isle of Wight then ten days off I can't wait. Then I will have the count down to when I am due. Boob poking and fanny checking will commence. Hope everyone has a great weekend to look forward to

InsomniaQueen · 10/08/2011 07:21

Morning all,

Things seem to have improved quite a bit from last night and so I'm hoping that this will all be done and dusted by next week. Managed to actually get some sleep last night so hoping that my brain is a lot more responsive today than it has been over the past few days.

missg All my lot in London are safe (thankfully) and just staying home now for a few days until it all settles (hopefully)!!!

boobeez not managed to get anything so far but am hoping to get to the shops this weekend.

Manda hope your all safe where you are and didn't see too much trouble around you last night.

blue have you managed to have a more rested night? Hopefully you have and that things at your are good with your friends.

right better finish my ginger and lemon tea and get my self up and ready - meeting today so must find appropriate clothing - which fits - a challenge me thinks!!!!

Sending hugs, kisses and best wishes to you all - take care everyone!!! Xxx

Boobeez · 09/08/2011 18:19

Hey girlies! Sat here waiting for af.. Last metalling sesh was sunday and have sort of given up now for this month. Hope you're feeling a bit better manda counselling is a good idea I think and will help you work through your feelings. I should probably go and chat to someone too, but am just hoping to fall pregnant soon because I think that having a healthy pregnancy is the healing that I need... Anyway, be kind to yourself and get DP to make you some tea and buy you chocolate.
blue you are so Jammy going to NY!! Maybe you'll this will be your month and you can name baby 'Bronx'! Hi IQ thanks for message. Have you found some nice maternity wear? Hello to shimmer v funny story!! You go girl! Xx

MandaHugNKiss · 09/08/2011 16:38

Ditto blue with hoping everyone and their friends/family are all safe. I live in the leafy suburbs on the border of SW London and Surrey, yet several towns 4 miles away are virtually evacuated and bracing for 'trouble'.

I needed to walk into the nearest high street for waitrose... but I'm hesitating. Rioters aren't interested in Waitose, are they? I'm bein faceitous, of course, because now it seems there isn't really any rhyme or reason to them Hmm

BlueCrane · 09/08/2011 16:31

No internet for most of the day at work and I've now come home early as there's rumours it's all going to kick off around our area tonight...such a mess! Keep hearing sirens whizzing around and the odd helicopter none of which sound very far away!! Taking my mind off TTC at the mo but not sure we'll manage any SWI tonight now which is a pain as it's our only time this week!

Would love to check up on you all individually but feeling a bit brain wiped what with lack of sleep and concerns about what's going on so can manage a big for the moment and hoping you are all safe and well and not caught up in anything.

Missgiraffe1 · 09/08/2011 13:46

Blue it's been awful watching it unfold on the TV, I can't imagine what it must be like for those in the areas affected. My friend was pretty scared trying to get to work for nightshift last night, but thankfully the violence hadn't reached her area (although was pretty close). Hope all our thread buddies in London (and their friends/family) are ok.
IQ have you heard from all of yours? Are they all ok?

Pie that's really interesting about circulation. My toes are bad for getting really cold and numb (and go a bit white). I don't think it's Raynauds or anything, just bad circulation. And, once they go that way, it takes ages for them to get the feeling back into them. I therefore own lots of fluffy, cosy socks!

baby I also love Wine but am currently on a self-imposed ban during the week (But.. allow a sneaky one on Wednesday as Wednesday is usually fake tan night, and I like a glass whilst doing that. If I can be arsed of course, otherwise it's just 'sit in front of the TV with wine' night) Try to have at least Sun, Mon Tues and Thur off. Doesn't always work out that way Grin but my intentions are good. And I am always am usually try to be better towards the end of the 2ww.

And shimmery that must've been some SWI session if you managed to break a bed that had just been tightened??!! Grin Go girl!

Manda your post struck a cord with me. I had to e-mail my boss yesterday to tell him how out of sorts I have been feeling lately. More to do with my Mum's death/anniversary/guilt etc, but I suspect we're probably both feeling much the same way. I think you should try it counselling. Admitting you're struggling does not make you weak, it is a brave thing to do. Sometimes just talking to someone non-judgemental, who allows you to say everything you need to say in your own time, and who can then help you arrange your thoughts and issues and work through them logically (which I think, when you're struggling - and busy! - is very difficult to do on your own) will be a good thing. Sending some PMA your way, along with a bit of my Dad's birthday cake (he's 70 today) and a Brew

Hi everyone else, birthday cake all round Biscuit
