That's it, I give up, I can't keep up with you all and haven't got a bloody clue what's going on - Safari photos???
MissG you're bound to be hormonal and emotional at the moment. I'm not religious but I'm sure you're Mum is there somewhere and knows exactly what's going on. She'll be sending you lots of hugs and happy vibes to cheer you up. As Eve says, it's going to be an emotional 8 months so you'd better buy in bulk on the Kleenex.
Glad you said about the North Face jacket, I was just about to wash mine!
IQ did the midwife say that the protective fat pouch is meant to spread to the thighs, hips, chin and arse? So is getting fat good??? Your director sounds miserable, she's probably very unhappy and lonely in life and takes it out on the only people around, her colleagues. Keep your chipper up and remember that maternity leave will be along soon
Baby I felt totally desperate after my mmc, like I'd missed my chance and I was too old. I even talked to DH about IVF! He thought I'd lost the plot. I then found some stats on a website (it may have been research on the Royal College of Obs and Gynae, I can't remember but it was reputable) and it said that over 80% of people who had suffered miscarriage went on to have a baby or be pregnant within 2 years. The research included people who had changed their minds about having a baby and/or split up so the 20% would largely be explained by this. It made me feel so much better. Your day WILL come, boobs out, PMA!
Also, my DH has two DCs already, this will be number 4 for him so totally understand where you're coming from. I do find myself getting resentful sometimes when I feel that I spend my weekends washing, cooking and taking care of his children but I try so hard not to as I know it's a slippery slope and they really are lovely.
I do resent that his ex gets 60% of our income though (long story, settlement was agreed when we didn't have DD and it took into account the two children, my income along with DH's, the fact that she didn't work and was single - all factors that have since changed, but DH doesn't want to rock the boat by going back to court) and get quite riled when I see her about town going shopping for fancy new clothes and thinking that DH is slogging his guts out and getting stressed and she's waltzing around looking immaculate without a care in the world. She's also got a partner and they've been together for two years and she pretends that he doesn't live with her so that DH can't use it against her in court (not that he would). It seems so immoral to me, especially as it was a mutual split and no one was to blame.
Rant over. Sorry.
Blue totally agree that your friend could do with some rest and tlc. It's a good thing you're there to look after her. Send her a Krispy Kreme from us.
Summer did you now there's some sort of Giraffe hotel in Africa where you can feed them at Breakfast and they poke their head through your bedroom window? My friends (who are Giraffe obsessed) went for their honeymoon and said it was fab.
Zebra if the bleeding has stopped it's time to go go go girl! There's no need to wait for AF to get started with the SWI. In fact, I don't think IQ had an AF before getting pg again (is that right?).
Anyway, I need to go and get some food I'm famished, I've got some pecan pie in the fridge, anyone want some??? I got it to help along my protective fat bulge
I've missed loads of people, sorry, big hello to everyone I've missed.
