Let's make some May babies

The end of July is drawing near; SWI with DP hasn't been as frequent as hoped; and I've decided to err on the side of caution.

So. Here's a thread for anyone else hoping to make a beautiful May 2012 baby.

I am 27 and TTC #1. Been on pill for an age so unsure of cycles. Only been trying for a couple of weeks - the more I type the more I note my wild optimism!!

Anyone else who knows more about this business than I do? Please come and give me some hope that a May baby might be at all possible :)

Oh Tibby, they don't understand how all consuming it becomes, I don't think. It's a ridiculous rollercoaster ride all told!

I am feeling a bit better today. Had a very crampy, bloody day yesterday, which kind of adds insult to injury really! Not in pain today though, so looking forward to getting this bleed out of the way and getting on with another month of SWI-ing. ("I suppose I'll just have to keep filling you up with spunk" -as my DH so delicately put it!!)

Hope everyone is OK today - Kveta - how are you doing? Has the crampiness abated? Hope so... :)

Tibbycat · 28/08/2011 11:14

Feeling a bit down about it....month one, you always dream it will be on your first try but I don't think it is.

Despite two weeks of on and off ovary pain, up's and downs emotionally, bb's itchy and occasional shooting pains, constipation, runny nose and a day ago, hot flashes...I'm still BFN tested daily since 10dpo...Sad AF due Wed and I'm expecting her to rear her very ugly head.

Best friend pregnant with number two which reduced me to a pool of tears when I heard. This was just after OV....Anyone else find around OV that you're really emotional?? I'm actually ridiculous!! Cried at the Katy Perry 'Friday night' video! A week post OV though now and I seem ok now.

Most of my friends apart from the ones who have conception troubles ALL fell the first month they ttc so feeling a lot of pressure. I'm also older than a lot of them. They are all 26/27 and I'm 30. Statistically is does make a difference.

I'm off abroad tomorrow to Italy with work, feel like it's the last place I want to be. I won't be drinking either so I better get my piss-poor excuses ready to why I'm not. Packing tampax as I'm expecting i will be needing it Wed :(

Hubby keeps saying to be cool about it... So easy for him to say and actually annoying he does say it! Angry

Sad x

notnowImreading · 27/08/2011 17:40

I've just spent a happy hour reading the shiney penguin thread - don't miss!GrinGrinGrin

TartyMcFarty · 27/08/2011 16:58

I really didn't have any symptoms with DD1, so at least I'm saved that obsession

musicalmrs · 27/08/2011 16:42

So sorry Kveta and festie.. hope you're both holding up ok.

And congratulations duck!

Tarty - I'm also awaiting AF. I think it should have sprung by now, but unpredictable cycles so I'm not entirely sure. I'm desperate to take a test, but trying to ignore the urges - planning on taking one in a week or two if the witch hasn't appeared (would rather an AF than a BFN). Mad symptom spotting going on until then...

TartyMcFarty · 27/08/2011 14:31

Sorry for you both, festie and kveta. Congrats mildert!

Pessimistically awaiting AF, nervous every time I go to the loo! Not testing until Monday as I don't want to waste one until the witch has kept me hanging a bit longer.

festiemum · 27/08/2011 12:33

Oh Kveta, sorry to hear that. xxxx

Kveta · 27/08/2011 07:43

bleeding has started again and much much worse, and am cramping badly. plus my back is fricking killing me now :( think i'll be calling the out-of-hours service at my GPs to see what to do now. annoyingly i still feel sick, grr.

desperateoldie67 · 27/08/2011 07:42

No need to shove festie, I hired a triple-decker...I'm just waiting on the DJ Wink

puzzle - you have a glistening halo???

You can hang that on the hook at the entrance of the June bus - there's plenty of room - not much call for halo's on that bus! :o

Get in there GTR - it'll be nice to be in someone's 2WW as I'm not allowed to have one of my own at the minute - I plan to live vicariously through others for a while :)

Don't go disappearing now duck just cos you're up zee duff...we need someone with your swearing capabilities round here honey :o

GTR2882 · 27/08/2011 05:48

Congrats duck and sorry festie :(

It is far too early to be up on a Sat morning, but needed to temp and FF has just indicated that I am currently 3dpo!! Never thought I would be this excited to be back in the 2ww but there you go! SS a go-go from now on, already feeling crampy!!! You'll be sick of me by the end Grin

notnowImreading · 26/08/2011 23:16

Sorry FestieSad

puzzletree · 26/08/2011 21:53

haha, had a peek, at least the future BFNs have something to look forward to, a spot on the bus with the dirty June-rs :) give me a few days and I'll probably be joining you, if I'm allowed

festiemum · 26/08/2011 21:42

Utter filth?!!!! Let me in! :o

desperateoldie67 · 26/08/2011 21:22

There's a June bus festie. You can find it Here. Come join us. It's utter filth though, be warned Wink xx

festiemum · 26/08/2011 21:06

Yeah, I think so. Last BFP yesterday was the faintest yet, and I've stopped retching. I think I knew the way it was going, I felt pregnant and then less and less so.
Still, another month, another cycle, more chances for SWI and obsessing and SS - (good acronym; loulou, by the way!)
Is there a new bus/yacht/Zeppelin I need to board?!
Thanks for all your kind words chaps.... xx

puzzletree · 26/08/2011 20:33

Oh no festie :( Is it proper bleeding now then? And you've not got a BFP any more? How gutting, so sorry. Take care of yourself.

Quenelle · 26/08/2011 20:09

Sorry Festie Sad

Quenelle · 26/08/2011 20:09

Sorry Festie Sad

desperateoldie67 · 26/08/2011 19:56

Snivelling is ok sweetie. Don't drink enough that you have a git of a hangover in the morning, cos then you'll be cussing that too.

Have resorted to DP's pear cider as housemate nicked what was left of my JD (about 1/4 of a bottle). So bit pissed off and pear cider isn't quite hitting the spot LOL!

festiemum · 26/08/2011 19:50

Heh! Well at least I missed out on that pleasure! Every cloud and all that! And now I am relaxing with Wine

(And yes, I have snivelled like a big girl too - I'm not a machine! :()

desperateoldie67 · 26/08/2011 19:43

Wouldn't have thought there was any reason you couldn't use one. They're great aren't they? :) Bit messy in festival toilets though! Shock :o

festiemum · 26/08/2011 19:40

desp I shall! x

festiemum · 26/08/2011 19:40

Does anyone know if there's any reason why you can't use a mooncup after a chemical? I can't see why not. I shall google it!

Sorry, as you were....!
