Let's make some May babies

The end of July is drawing near; SWI with DP hasn't been as frequent as hoped; and I've decided to err on the side of caution.

So. Here's a thread for anyone else hoping to make a beautiful May 2012 baby.

I am 27 and TTC #1. Been on pill for an age so unsure of cycles. Only been trying for a couple of weeks - the more I type the more I note my wild optimism!!

Anyone else who knows more about this business than I do? Please come and give me some hope that a May baby might be at all possible :)

Hi folks, not been around over the weekend, as some of DH's nieces are visiting so we've been showing them round the area. All the rest of our time has been spent SWI!!!!!

Really stressing today as I am getting more and more convinced I have a short luteal phase - I only have about a 23 day cycle normally, and have been charting this month and not ovulated yet. I am on day 12 today, so even if I get a temperature rise tomorrow, thats a luteal phase of only 11 days (if my cycle is still 23 days after the mc). All the stuff I've read on Dr Google (I know, I know....) says anything less than 10-12 days is bad news. Now I'm wondering whether to go see the GP, or just buy tonnes of Vitamin B6 and Progesterone cream and douse myself in them. Why can't everything be simple and non-stressy, and my body co-operate with me for sodding once?????!!!!!! Anyone have any experience of this????

I'm confused. I've had 35 day-ish lately...longer before having DD. Therefore OV time isn't until around CD20.

I'm CD12 today, have EWCM for the first time EVER (I usually just go from nothing to really watery and back again), I feel a bit backachy like I do before my period, and I'm as horny as...well, someone who's trying to get pregnant and is ovulating Grin Did an OPK this morning and got a faint, but clear line, which I know is meaningless, but I had no line at all yesterday Confused

Tis really random! Body playing tricks? Or early (for me) ov?

Shall be SWI from tonight just in case I think!

Pillow- a good way is checking your cm. Sounds a bit horrid but you get use to it. If you do it everyday you will see a difference when you more fertile, it should be more stretchy or like eggwhite when you more fertile.

I'm a bit Envy today. DH saw BIL last night, who has revealed that SIL is indeed duffers. I've suspected for a while as her mummy tummy suddenly looked all bump like. They're around 18 weeks with #3. Envy Envy and more Envy.

Hi all. All quiet from me over the weekend as we went camping and had no battery.

CD13 today so going must get some SWI in over the next few days. I've also got some OPK's left over from last month so must remember to do one tomorrow.

Quite a few have now joined so I'm wishing everyone luck for May babies. We're clearly all going to get preggo as this is a lucky thread. I can feel it in my bones Smile

pillowupmyjumper you can get a pack of 15 ovulation tests and 5 pregnancy tests for about £4 on Ebay. They come in a white non-descript envelop, if you get your post delivered at work.

I have added myself to the list since I missed out on the April 2012 bus. I sure hope it works this time. We've been trying for a few months now, but I had a miscarriage in May I think it was.

Any hints or tips to share about how best to concieve or is it just a case of SWI... also if you're not using ov sticks or tempreture thingy (skint!)is there a poor womans way of telling when i'm ovulating ... :)

Know what you mean about TTC. I really hate AF (she's not my fecking aunt). But kind of fallen into using them as they are short and easy for the lazy typist (moi).

Oops, I didn't notice that was AF order, not alphabetic duh. Not sure of all of you details, Cosmic and mildert, post them up and we can slot you in Grin.

Mildert, I'm in the same boat with cluelessness about my cycle - came off pill three weeks ago which I'd been on for 10 years nearly with no breaks. Will it be back, who knows?! Cosmic, I'm totally impatient too; and still on cycle one (which isn't actually a cycle as not sure if I've had a proper period yet!). Fingers crossed for you both.

I'm 28, TTC (for some reason I have unbridled hatred for that abbreviation, but hey ho) #1, and goodness only knows when Aunty Flo is due as I had my implant out today and I have had the grand total of one period in two-and-a-half years. While I count myself lucky I am not especially looking forward to re-acquainting myself with Aunty dearest...

So we'll see. I'm not expecting much this go around but we could surprise ourselves. Hello to all of you!

Another here, hello!

Cycle 2 of TTC%232. We only decided midway through last cycle to TTC...but it feels like it's taken forever already. Doesn't help that I have stupid long cycles so it takes ages to get to the interesting bit.

Currently on CD11, and have started with the OPK's this morning so I can try and pinpoint OV. My cycles do seem a bit shorter since having DD, which is good. But it means I can't really rely on the data from last time around, as I think it's going to be a few days out. Hence me starting OPK's a little early. I need to start temping as well, but I keep forgetting Blush

Hey all - happy August; can't believe we're eight months into the year Shock.

OOh some more new peeps Grin Hi pillow, hope you don't need one up your jumper for much longer. Thanks for the sorting buggerlugs - I do like a bit of alphabetising (if that's even a word?!)

Nothing to report on Paranoia Watch here. Been doing a sterling job on the 'trying' side of things over the weekend and I'm pretty knackered Blush.

As for the drink I'm not laying off it completely but trying to be being sensible. So exciting that we could have some positive results before the end of this month!!
