The end of July is drawing near; SWI with DP hasn't been as frequent as hoped; and I've decided to err on the side of caution.

So. Here's a thread for anyone else hoping to make a beautiful May 2012 baby.

I am 27 and TTC #1. Been on pill for an age so unsure of cycles. Only been trying for a couple of weeks - the more I type the more I note my wild optimism!!

Anyone else who knows more about this business than I do? Please come and give me some hope that a May baby might be at all possible :)

Sending lots of good wishes your way Rusulka (but, as discussed NO baby dust)!!!

Hi, and good luck to those new to this thread - hope it is a good month for you all.

Joining puzzletree in horror at the riots. Hope everyone is OK.

Harryan · 09/08/2011 09:56

Oh my rusulka! It does sound a wee bit like a BFP!!

I am so excited for you! Grin

I have actually woken feeling sick...Again!! Even to the point that I almost threw up in my Sugar puffs at one point!!

Don't wanna tempt fate....

But I can't even test or find out til at least the end of next week!! Confused

orangehead · 09/08/2011 09:17

oh fx Rusulka, keep us posted

puzzletree · 09/08/2011 07:59

Rusulka sounds suspiciusly like a BFP to me! I used those sticks to watch my BFP disappear after the miscarriage, they seem reliable enough to me, a line is a line after all. Do another first thing tomorrow :)

Sorry to those that have been trying for ages, really hope that this is your month, it must be tough hopping from bus to bus.

I'm starting with the ovulation sticks today I think (cheapos from amazon), never used them before so not sure what to expect. Afternoon's the best time to test right? Something to while away the days with. Will be off to a festival at the end of the week when I expect to be fertile though so probably won't bother there in the portaloos :)

Hope no-one has been affected by the riots (other than staring in horror at the news on the tv). Just horrible :(

Rusulka · 09/08/2011 06:38

Well, the day of AF has finally rolled around. awake at 5:30 and obsessing about the little sticks in the drawer, so came down and did one... and... I think I saw something...:o I mean, I think I've seen something before, but this time it was um... line shaped... but so faint I probably made it up! I want to hope but daren't in case I jinx it.

Anyone else bought those tiddly little sticks in a pack of 25 or so from Amazon? The reviews were half awesome, half awful, so I took a risk. I never know if they're giving me an accurate result though.

Crunch time ladies. Still had CM this morning, which is unusual for AF time as it usually goes completely and that's how I know it's on its way... Unless it's left over from my cough medicine! Confused

I'm never more than a day or so late with these so before the end of this week I will definitely know one way or the other. Exciting thought.

Although I did have my usual pre-menstrual mopsy (as my father-in-law calls it) where I spent a good hour and a half in DH's lap the other night crying my eyes out about how the cat didn't love me any more (not even our cat). Can anyone beat that? Lol.

orangehead · 08/08/2011 18:39

Sorry spatelaxe its horrible.
Whinge away mildertduck thats what we are here for

Signet2012 · 08/08/2011 17:12

Hoping to crack on with the TTC now :)

Fingers crossed!

spatelaxe · 08/08/2011 16:22

gutted to have fallen off the April 2012 bus, the witch arriving this morning - very upsetting but picking myself up for a May baby!
Please add me to the list AF due 5th Sept

CosmicMouse · 08/08/2011 13:18

Well I think I've now ovulated Confused Got what I think was a postive OPK on Saturday, and have now gone back to a everso very feint line again today. It's still fairly early in my cycle though (for me). So I'm panicking that it wasn't actually a positive OPK and I've cocked it all up! Worry wort? Me? Never Hmm

We did lots of SWI all last week, inc twice on Saturday...although we didn't manage anything on Sunday in the end, so I'm hoping I ov'd on Sat rather than Sun or I'll be mightly pissed off!

So the waiting game begins again. I think!

mildertduck · 08/08/2011 12:59

Hello ladies - hope you all had good weekends.

I am in a bit of a mood - I have all my usual symptoms of PMT but no M in sight. I am spotty, I've got a mouth ulcer, I'm really crampy and my moods are all over the place. If Aunty Flo is on her way I'd really just like her to sodding well hurry up so that I know one way or the other.

I met Mr Duck's colleague's 10 day old baby at the weekend and I was about to EXPLODE with the broodiness. And then I met up with friends and one of them is 32 weeks with the most marvellous bump... the universe has been rubbing it in this weekend, clearly. I won't be sad if I don't conceive this month but how can I start charting if I don't know when CD1 is?!

Basically: whinge whinge whinge.

orangehead · 08/08/2011 10:53

I dont know about that harryan, interesting maybe so.

Harryan · 08/08/2011 10:17

Morning orange I woke up feeling really sick too!! However am ovulating now so putting it down to wishful thinking.

I think ovulation can make you feel sick at times can't it?

orangehead · 08/08/2011 10:00

Harryan · 07/08/2011 22:08

As gross as it sounds making note of the change in your mucus helps too.

I'm definitely ovulating now, the pains are quite strong this month.....hopefully that's a good sign! Smile lol

threecurrantbuns · 07/08/2011 21:38

Ok thanks I def get that although last longer I often complain of having pmt for 2weeks of the month the week I'm on and week before and I've also had a really achey coxIs bone(sp) this week.

Harryan · 07/08/2011 21:32

I'm not sure if it would be the same for everyone, but I get a low pelvic pain similar to a period pain mid cycle.
I also get a heavy dull ache at the base of my back and tender breasts.
It only usually lasts a few hours to a day at most.
Smile hth x

threecurrantbuns · 07/08/2011 21:08

Could someone describe ovulation pains to me and how you know that what view are? Incase I need to be on the look out next month x

Harryan · 07/08/2011 19:59

Hope you have a "shagtastic" holiday Notnow :)

I have just started getting the twinge of ovulation pains this eve!!

Grin Whoop Whoop!!

threecurrantbuns · 07/08/2011 19:54

Off on holiday too and have ordered pregnancy tests in the hope I will get to use one on my return. :)

notnowImreading · 07/08/2011 18:43

Good! I just wanted to check with everyone that we're keeping the right vibe going. As long as you're all happy with the baby-madness, bring it on! My AF stopped today, by the way, just in time for holidays tomorrow. Hurrah! Shagging commences in earnest. I like Quenelle's idea of keeping topped up at all times Wink
Just think, by the time I come back, some of you might be pregnant...
Good luck everyone - see you in 9 days xxx

Rusulka · 07/08/2011 17:22

Mamma I think the worst thing about getting a negative is how they tell you that it doesn't necessarily mean a negative- but a positive is definitely a positive.

With regards to all of us hyping each other up into a frenzy on here, I think it's good, in a way- I moved down to Kent to live with my husband, I haven't been able to find permanent work, and I have no friends or family here (apart from my in-laws!) so I have nobody to talk to about this. I've already driven DH crazy with going on about it, so you're actually all playing a very important role in my not going mad (and saving my marriage). I really appreciate it.

Nobody understands what we're going through apart from us, and DH is being very negative about how I'm feeling (he says he doesn't want me getting my hopes up). It's nice to have people to talk to who all want to think that every little twinge or cramp is significant- at least I'm not the only one!

Quenelle · 07/08/2011 15:55

Hi all. Hi new peeps.

Sorry you got a BFN Mamma. I know you Were trying to protect yourself by not testing too early so it really sucks that you waited and still got one.

Don't lose heart if AF still hasn't arrived though.
