Let's make some May babies

The end of July is drawing near; SWI with DP hasn't been as frequent as hoped; and I've decided to err on the side of caution.

So. Here's a thread for anyone else hoping to make a beautiful May 2012 baby.

I am 27 and TTC #1. Been on pill for an age so unsure of cycles. Only been trying for a couple of weeks - the more I type the more I note my wild optimism!!

Anyone else who knows more about this business than I do? Please come and give me some hope that a May baby might be at all possible :)

Morning Ladies. Anyone got any brownies please, my poor little brain is in hyperdrive. Apologising for TMI in advance
Have had very hectic wkend and Saturday night, just before girls (very overdue) night out got a visit from AF! Bollocks! Well, at least I can have a drink now.

Had 3 drinks - started to feel bit crappy, thought it was the food. Went to loo. AF has gone. Reappeared Sunday morn (bit brown very light) Went again and only a bit again this morn.
No sore boobs, no symptoms of anything.
Is this implantation or am I just having the worlds lightest period?
Or am I just hyperventilating for nothing?

I've eaten half the fudge...now I feel sick! LMAO! I was absolutely convinced AF was going to arrive about an hour ago - evil cramps - and now they've gone again! I POAS this morning, but still a BFN, so I'm guessing she'll make an appearance soon :(

I totally agree with your last paragraph Kinky. I've charted properly for the first time this month - and still I'm not sure about what my 'normal' CM patterns are. I wanted to put a link to my chart on Countdowntopregnancy, but it's not working. I have no idea how people link to their charts cos it never works for me. I can't link to my FF chart either...

Do you know how to do it Kinky?

Kinky aw, hope you find out soon either way. I agree with your advice re hyper analysing. I had awful crampy feelings a week and a bit ago which I thought was AF arriving but now I'm thinking was more likely ov pains...never even given this a passing thought before!!

desperate EAT THE FUDGE!

I am soooooo fed up! Have so many 'symptoms', but not convinced, and got BFN on test (AF due Weds). So, I've resolved myself to not being pg, then get in bath and see scary, dark veins all over my chest which I've read is a pg symptom. I feel sick; I'm shattered; I have a 'full' pg feeling. But BFN. It should be there by now, so I don't think I am: my body has done this to me before.

My best advice to anyone who thinks they want to TTC is to spend a month hyper-analysing your body through a normal cycle. I sometimes wonder if some of these 'symptoms' are normal cycle for me, but I don't pay that much attention when I'm not TTC.

GTR, I hear you with reasons to be cheerful. This thread has really kept me going these past few weeks and is making me feel that I'm not a complete obsessive TTC freak on me own Grin.

Duke, loving that website! Will have a proper look this eve in about five mins when I get bored of work.

Catsy, any news? Anyone else got any pee-related updates?! I'll be testing on Wednesday - it's as good a random date as any given that I haven't a clude if/when I ov'd!

I so desperately want to take some time off, but I'm a temp and only get paid when I work...and I get such a piss poor hourly rate that I'm barely scraping by.

On the plus side, the lady I work with has just come back after a week off on holiday and brought me back some fudge - I don't hold out much hope for it lasting until elevenses to be honest LOL!

I hear you DO67 i hear you and know exactly how you feel! I keep buying the lottery tickets but alas, here I am at my desk. There are only 3 things keeping me going at the moment:

  1. the fact I have 4 more days of work then 10 days off
  2. the thought of getting a sticky bean this month (fingers crossed)
  3. the lovely ladies on this site Smile

Don't worry GTR, I'm not having a very good morning either, and that's not a lot to do with the imminent arrival of the witch. It's cos I loathe my boss (he's a complete tosser), and it's Monday morning, I'm at work and I've already had to look at his miserable face - bleurgh!!! Angry I need to keep reminding myself to buy a lottery ticket at the weekends...there's got to be more to life than working for tossers!

Hi ladies. Thought i'd share a great site for obsessing researching.

CDTP

It's got stats on which brand of pregnancy test works best and % of positives/false negatives at different days past ovulation.

I am currently browsing through pics of tests where people have voted positive or negative. I'm not sure this is the best way to pass the 2ww, but it's fun!

puzzletree, we went to Newcastle for DH's best man's England wedding reception. He got married in China and a lot of people couldn't make it. Very cool reception with Indian aunties, Chinese cousins, bride's Chinese girlfriends from Germany, and groom's uni buddies, all dancing along to 'My Lady Lumps.' What a night. Also the millenium bridge is really cool.

Definitely a BFN, AF arrived Saturday evening. Was a bit surprised as no cramping whatsoever. Normally she gives me a few hours warning and a nice back ache.

Right, so I posted on Thursday that AF had appeared as I had bloody CM and that is how it always begins but since that there's been nowt. And I had EWCM today (no blood). I'm actually due today but nothing yet.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed but trying so hard not to get my hopes up.

Hi everyone. Welcome to the new people - nice to meet you! Big congratulations Kveta! Happy anniversary for yesterday mama5, hope you had a lovely day! DO67 the temp thing is definitely encouraging!!!

Have moved myself to the end of the list, as I have no idea where AF has gone. Actually dipped 3 sticks of different makes in the same FMU today, and had one faint but convincing +, 1 faint but there with some imagination +, and 1 -. Had a bit of tingly boobage earlier (actually leaked a few days ago - euuch!), still weeing like mad, but also spotting again (very intermittant and only on TP - sorry if TMI). Now on day 31 - AF usually here after 23! No sickness at all, but a few cramps still. Would have had a BFP by now with DD2, and with the baby I mc, but the tests I'm doing now are not really getting any darker. Really rather worried now :( Going to crawl under my rock for a few days I think, and try to distract myself!!!!

Hello everyone,

Seeing as I've got past the boring first part of my cycle and am getting exciting ovulation type pains (five days before last time, but hey, the pill really does mess up your cycle so I have no expectations as to when it'll happen) I thought I'd finally join after lurking for a bit. I'm on cycle#3 of ttc and who knows, it may happen this month!

Heidi, I started using the cheapie opk sticks last cycle and I noticed that as the days went on and I kept testing the line got progressively darker. I suppose the LH builds up in your system. The day after the darkest line I tested again and not a sausage of a line was visible. I tested today and got a faint line so am hoping the hormone levels will peak soon.

Right, better go and get that chicken out of the oven and get sunday dinner on the table...

It will probably be darker tomorrow, tends to be a bit faint, then darker next day (as in get ready to SWI)

Well im on CD13 and getting a dark line on the OPK that is ALMOST as dark but not quite. Definately lighter than the other line but its more than just faint!

Previously ive had a blank. No line. And now this, is it a 'nearly positive' or what? Will be SWI anyway but a little confused

Buggerlugs - you are due the same day as me (AF sady, not a baby!). When are you going to test?

I was thinking maybe Wednesday or Thursday, so only 9/10 days past OV but 1 day before AF due.

I'm very excited to be moving from '7 days + till testing - COME ON' to 'POAS - & Just Waiting Crew'.
