have i tested too early

hiya hows everyone? well my af was due yesterday and as yet ive no signs of it, usually i can tell a couple of days earlier that im due but ive got cramp type feelings and i feel sick and dizzy ( although i dont know if im just imagining it in the hope that i have fallen pg) anyway i did a test yesterday morning on the day i was due and it was a bfn was gutted whats the chances i have tested to early ( on the day i was due on) is this too early, or am i clinging on to some thing thats probs not there!!! dp is worse than me for being gutted that it was a bfn
hes really upset which doesnt really help me,have i tested too early on the day af was due?

congrats aprilgirl!! i got pregnant pretty much straightaway after coming off the pill. the first negative i got was with the first response test. but tried only a couple of days later with the clearblue one and it came back positive. i had all the symptoms u did, but didnt want to test because i didnt want to get my hopes up. i now have a 5 month old dd and i couldnt be happier!! x

cool well i went today i had a bfn 2 weeks ago today, and yesterday the clearest bfp ever, so not sure if i'll quite be that far on, they are going to try and book me a early scan as ive had 2 mc before so hopefully i should find out my scan date soon!!! havent told anyone except dp so mumsnet right now is a god send!!!

When I came off the pill I had a total of 5 AFs in 19 months!! Gave up doing pg tests in the end as was bankrupting myself .
Suddenly started feeling sooooo tired, and had the most sore boobs in the world, like I couldn't even bear to have clothes touching them. Did pg test out of curiosity and got a bfp - ds is now 19 months old!
Because I could have been anything up to 8 weeks pg, my mw took the first date of my last period and sent me for a scan based on that date (got the scan at 13 weeks and was actually 11.4 weeks pg).

Not if you use Clearblue!! I tested the day before af was due and got a bfp!

Most reliable tester imo.

will get clearblue tommorrow i promise!! going late night shopping tonight but with a friend who doesnt know im ttc, so cant get it tonight!!! havent been ill just feeling a bit spewy!! will i still need my morning wee if im 23days late?

When i was pregnant with ds4 I tested with one brand (a pink one, can't remember the name) and they all came out -ve.

I was convinced I was pregnant so I did a Clearblue which immediately showed up +ve! Try a different tester, you may get a different result.
