Ive changed my name and not sure why Im doing this , as not really into talking about ttc etc , as last time I did , I lost.
Im not sure of all the abreviations for everything , but Im day 22 today , we did it day 16 , but Im not sure if its day 16 or 18 , as I was several days late last month. MY cycle is normally 26 days , but last mth I was 31 I think, not sure !!
I have been having increasing metal taste the last few days and its quite strong , also today Ive started getting a deep ache in the left of my tummy. I also have started feeling quite sick today.

I cant test till wednesday when Ill be day 26, using first reponse.

If I am Im very pleased as I want my dd to have a companion and she is 27mths, but my worries are trauma birth , ptsd & pnd. I had a terrrible traumatic time last time i.e all the above listed and my stomach churns at the thought of going to a certain hospital near me. IM not sure if a doula, private midwife or something else will help me.

I would justlike to have a thread were I feel I can talk about these things.

Good luck with the scan maybetwo. ((xx))

rubles · 15/12/2005 14:55

I am so pleased to hear that you are feeling so dreadful.
I came back in here to check on you, and this all sounds very positive from the point of view of a healthy pregnancy.
It's a bummer though that we can't just enjoy any part of pregnancy - if there are no symptoms we panic and feel paranoid, if there are symptoms then we feel sh*t.

Let us know how the scan goes.

thank you hmwmama for x fingers xx

Maybetwo - I'm crossing my fingers for you. The pain you first talked about could be ligaments stretching - I had this at about week 5 and on and off for a while later. The blood being brown and not red sounds good to me, as does having a PG test showing as a +ve straight away - cybergood luck.

Pol25 - just to let you know that I had 3 -ve PG tests before I eventually had a +ve one - and I'm now 34 weeks.

Looking forward to hopefully hearing good news from you girls.

maybetwo · 15/12/2005 12:39

thank you both, yep jelly bean it is I hope. Im all teary now. Im crying at anyhting mind !

Star yes have scan tommorow , have a thread about it in pregnancy, a bit nervous due to history.

blueshoes · 15/12/2005 12:30

Hi maybetwo, it looks like your bean is sticking. Not so great on the housekeeping front, I know .

Just wanted to say that I spotted brown (even heavy bright red one day) the whole of my first trimester with no other pg symptoms and I managed to carry my dd to term. Babydust all the way ...

Snowballstrike · 15/12/2005 12:30

Feeling dreadful is a good sigh maybetwo, enjoy it! Have you still got a scan tomorrow? Good Luck

maybetwo · 15/12/2005 11:20

Im feeling increasinlgy sicker and more exhausted each day , which is a good sign , but I havent moved from sofa for 3 days now (although dd is enjoying me being near her). Its just I have a house to clean ,Xmas shopping to do , food to buy and my business work to do and I cant face any of it.I know some may think Im right pathetic as they work right through this stage , but I feel soo unbeleivably tired & ill. I dont remember this with dd at all. I ran around like normal , went to trade shows , did work. I just feel BLUERGH. I feel sick when hungry, eat and still feel sick !!!

I hope evrything is going ok maybetwo!
Your gp sounds useless! I guess that is one of my reasons for not going to gp about probs because don't want to be shunned away like it doesn't matter. When you decide to get preg the baby is a baby to you from the first moment you know, whether the gp calls is an embryo... etc... It's your baby- I think many gp's need to learn empathy!
Still no period here- today will make my cycle day 40 and no +ive test result.
Brought two fertility and conception books yesterday and they were v.v.v. intersting and now reading them and going to try monitoring myself a little more to see if that works.
Good luck with it all and keep us posted, thinking of you and your little bubba (fingers crossed!)

maybetwo · 06/12/2005 11:30

thank you both for chatting with me, a friend just called and happened to drop into convo , " so when are you trying for the next eh ", I was sooooo on the verge of saying but shes not the closest freind and I just feel funny and stupid if I do have a m/c , I then have to say well actually Im not pg anymore, she then went on to say that a mutual friend(who I dont really seee anymore), is pg about 14wks!!

Im just being careful who I confide in these days , ist one of my life lessons I think. My family know and are being very good inn suporting were they can.

You are soo spot on rubles about it transforming your life , even if its just seeing it as a vision of a changed life. DD will soo love to have a companion.

OP posts:
rubles · 06/12/2005 11:11

I know what you mean about thinking you're 'only' 4 weeks - so much can go on in your mind when you think you're pregnant - the next year of your life is completely transformed immediately so even though it is only a couple of days in normal people's time it is like so much more than that for you because everything seems like it is in fast forward. Anyone who has been pregnant will understand that, I reckon.

I don't think that the bloods lady knew anything one way or the other - she only knows about taking blood samples, she can't tell what is going on inside you - so don't put too much store by her interpretation of your bleeding and don't let it stress you out.
As said before by SnowBall you have stopped bleeding now, and it never got very heavy, so the way things stand now you really could still be preganant. Noone knows, unfortunately, but try not to feel too crushed and disheartened until you get some news either way, be kind to yourself and try and take it easy if you can. Is there noone in real life that you can talk to - I had my friend who had an early m/c and I leant heavily on her for that time, and I thankfully had a positive outcome.

I found the EPU nurses really lovely and kind and sympathetic, so roll on the 16th when you can get someone to really look after you.

Snowballstrike · 06/12/2005 11:02

Waiting is the worst thing. I guess the best thing is to keep as busy as possible so as not to think about it too much, but it's easier said than done. Is there not a friend you can tell, so you can get it off you chest?

maybetwo · 06/12/2005 10:25

Its on the 16th snow. Ive had my 1st hcg blood test today , will have to phone surgery I suppose to find out what to do about getting another one done.

Its soo hard , firends keep asking how I am and i havent told anyone and Im saying yer Im fine , But i just want to talk to them so i dont feel alone (although my family are brillaint) , but days at home alone with dd are hard right now.

Snowballstrike · 06/12/2005 10:18

Hi Maybetwo, I've been following you're story. Sorry to hear that you're doctors are being so inconsiderate. There really could be many reasons for your bleed and the fact that it's stopped now has got to give you hope. I had a M/C in May and the EPU where very helpful and I dealt with them directly after my doctor refered me for a scan. Can you not ask for HCG tests to determine what's happening? When I started bleeding I went to A&E but they were useless and just did a normal pg test which said I was still PG and sent me home saying go to your doctor on Monday, so I don't think you'd have been better off seeing them at all. When do you have a scan?

maybetwo · 06/12/2005 10:11

anyone to talk tooo??

thanx rubles , at the bloodbank today she said it was unusual to have cases like mine come through there , as normally I would have been at the maternitiy unit. She also doesnt know why Im not booked in to have another hcg test 48 hrs from now. She said normally I would have come through A&E , (but as I didnbt bleed out profusley at the time I thought it best to rest at home). She then said that they do things to save on costs referring to why my gp didnt want to do anything ,whatever that means. She almost insuated I had a m/c ??????? Im so stressed now , I dont know what to think. I feel Ive been shortchanged and some may laugh "ah but fgs your only 4 weeks" but to me being pg is being pg wether 4 weeks or 20 wks its still hopes, dreams and wishes and a possible human life in the makinhg and that is very special to the women carrying and it may still viable I have no idea.

OP posts:
rubles · 06/12/2005 07:18

Oh my, what was that doctor thinking?? Jeeeesus!

Hope it all goes well at epu and with the blood results xx.

maybetwo · 05/12/2005 16:08

went to gp today , she was less than uselss and said there was nothing she could do. Anyway to my luck there was a final year student in the room with her and she said theres an early pg unit at my hospital who will take care of me and do a scan once I reach 6 weeks. Im booked in now thanks to her phoning for me , but will also need to have a blood test tommorow at blood bank for my hcg levels. If it wasnt for trainee , I would have been quite demanding in getting blood ,check etc. Why should I have to suffer because an old long in the tooth gp cant be bothered. GGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Ive also done a clear blue today and the + came up immediately, which I THINK is a good sign , as mmay be my hcg levels are increasing and not diminishing(as they woud if mc).

I know it may be hormonal , but I feel really low, giddy & weepy this afternoon(oh and boobs really hurt today for 1st time). Its a mess everywere , but Im so tired and zapped by the last few days I just want to leave it all and sit and watch tv , how lazeeee am I!!. Poor dh will come home to a bombsite!!!!!

thank you pol for checking on me x

OP posts:
maybetwo · 04/12/2005 22:17

Im sorry pol , may be go to gp and have hgc levels checked with blood test.

A friend of the family who is a year or so away from training to be a doctor has suggested I go to gp this week , as he is concerned that I have had adominal pain and lower back pain. He did say though that the pinky brown stuff is called desidious I think and when baby beds in its becomes surrounded by this matter. He did say I would know it if ectopic as unbelievably painful , but he couldnt rule it out. Im just wondering if gp surgery will wonder why i didnt go in on Friday when 1st spotting or go to A& E , so may not consider me an emergency???? , but if I do a test at home all it will tell me is if I have hgc , not if pg is still viable and hgc increasing , as I know that hgc stays in you for a while after. Im all on edge now and cant seem to rest my mind. My friend also said I know to much for my own good !!

Pol25 · 04/12/2005 10:50

Hey maybe two... hows things? Hope you are worrying less- but I know it ust be hard not to really. Hope things are ok.
Still no +ive preg test!

maybetwo · 03/12/2005 11:33

The spotting seems to have stopped for now, but I have terrible aches all around midriff and lower back area.It seems worse when I stand up or gte myself sressed. I just dont know what to think really, am I still pg, have I had a miscarriage, (although seems very light to have been), will this baby be ok if I am still pg??

Just having an anxious morning, feeling very weepy. May be thats a good sign.

OP posts:
maybetwo · 02/12/2005 20:07

Thank you for your replies , Ive been in bed all afternoon and Im not used to that! Ive had pain all afternoon and I go to check in the loo every 10mins ! Still have stuff coming out , but no fresh red still. Ill just have to wait and see, as who knows how it will go over the next few days.

If everything is ok , ill worry now all the time if the baby is ok, although I expect I would anyway , but bleeding makes you more concious of it.

I feel Im in limbo, it horrible not being able to do anything, just wait wait wait.

OP posts:
Pol25 · 02/12/2005 14:18

Fingers crossed for you!!! I wish you all the luck possible!
I'm sat here with -ive line on preg test and still no period! Arrrrggg!
My sis said she had bleeding when preg with her twins and were all fine. She had a c-section at 36 weeks after going into labour.
Good luck and keep your feet up!

rubles · 02/12/2005 14:15

A deep ache could be implantation too - so hang in there.
