i've only had 1 cycle worth of stick peeing which eventually got me the BFP. DP knew my anxieties etc but because i couldn't allow myself to seriously believe we'd done it, i didn't go on about it too much. So i've always peed on sticks myself and then gone and showed him. Only once was he outside the door. And for us that sort of has worked. He's very cautious with this baby making malarky and isn't one for jumping up and down incase we get disappointed. One hell of a disappointment with the mc so i suppose he's on to something there....

Personally i would not be able to stand the disappointment of me AND DP if we were both looking at the magic line to appear...

Kayzr · 27/09/2011 15:09

Toddle go pee on a stick!!!!!!!

I'm not sure about my DP. The only time I've done a test he was away with work. But if he was here I'd probably like us to watch the result come up together.

babybrain3 · 27/09/2011 14:51

Hehehehe..... I don't tell mine, as I tend to do quite a lot when there isn't any chance of getting a BFP and he would probably think I was mental...

toddle · 27/09/2011 13:06

Haha giggle. Should have noted not literally in the bathroom with you. Mine seems to get a bit of a hump on if I do one without him being in the house

babybrain3 · 27/09/2011 12:53

I would feel a bit peculiar if my dp was actually in the bathroom whilst I was actually peeing on the stick. Each to their own though.... It takes a few mins to get a definitive answer so you could get him to wait outside the door so you watch the result appear together???

toddle · 27/09/2011 10:49

Your not out until she arrives wouldbe and fx mamma.

I can't believe how long our graduates list has become Smile

Well according to a log thing on my phone my period is three days late. And I've been so busy I hadn't even noticed. So I may tempt myself with a stick to pee on.

Can I ask a rather random question Smile.
You no when af due date has gone or three days before and you go to pee on a stick, does your dp want to be there or do you just do it whenever if he is in or not?

MammaInTheMaking · 27/09/2011 09:17

Oh wouldbe that's really rubbish. Grab some wine and choc (though prob not wine in the morning!!). I really really hope that it's all about October for you. Smile

Still very tiny symptoms for me though def not testing til Monday if AF doesn't arrive this weekend. We're off to see DP's sister and her family for the weekend so will get my baby/toddler fix for a few days then. Got to hold my friend's 9week old baby the other day and it just felt so right. We're all ready so GIVE US ALL BFPs!!!!!!!!!

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 27/09/2011 08:04

morning all. started spotting last night and AF got me this morning, so I'm out this month. trying not to feel too disheartened about it all. Sad

FX for you mamma - bring us some good news!! Smile

MammaInTheMaking · 26/09/2011 09:26

thanks! no real symptoms...well a lot less than the bfp that mc-ed. So really don't know what to think!

am on the verge of getting a cold though, i feel those symptoms very much!!!

how's everyone else? getting the bikinis out for the heatwave we're going to have this week???

babybrain3 · 26/09/2011 07:24

Good luck mamma any symptoms yet??

MammaInTheMaking · 25/09/2011 17:50

Keeping the hope alive wouldbe.

Well, I ovulated last Friday so am expecting AF to be due this Friday. 5 days to go. Blah!

wouldbemumandotherstuff · 25/09/2011 12:14

thanks babybrain - you'd have thought I'd be capable of expressing myself in English by now, but no.... Confused

back in the UK and CD30 here. expecting AF, I think Mon or Tues. was rather hopeful for this month, but all my fantasy symptoms seem to have disappeared. woke up early with jet-lag and POASed this morning at 5am but BFN. Sad just waiting for AF now.... blah.

sorry to hear about AF Lugsie. Sad

babybrain3 · 25/09/2011 09:03

Hehehe Grin

Kayzr · 25/09/2011 08:09

Babybrain I should ov the day after DPs birthday so I know what he can have for his birthday Grin

babybrain3 · 25/09/2011 07:23

Next time someone updates, that should read!!!

babybrain3 · 25/09/2011 07:22

lugsie AF came early for me too... Next te sepne updates the stats can you add me on, next AF is due 19 October... Thanks.

babybrain3 · 25/09/2011 07:16

Haha don't worry wouldbe it did make me laugh, but I knew there would have been mo hard feelings intended!!

kayzr I know what you mean, it just feels like wasted time... Roll on ov time. I'm determined to conceive this month, I will be ov ing on my birthday if my body does what it is supposed to, so would be really nice if it does work out for us this month.... Fx!! I am planning a party next saturday so at least I have something to distract myself with.

Kayzr · 24/09/2011 18:25

Does anyone else find waiting to ovulate just as annoying as the 2ww? I'm so fed up of waiting already

Lugsie · 23/09/2011 21:26

Congrats levana great news! Smile

thanks for the tips, Levana - I looked the book up on Amazon, does look good. so pleased about your BFP. it is really encouraging that it does happen even if it takes a while. hadn't thought about acupuncture seriously, but that sounds interesting.

babybrain - re-read my last post and have been fretting that you might have thought that I meant you were being self-pitying - so so sorry if you read it that way - not meant at all. I have a tendency to go off the deep end when I let myself dwell on it all, so really try not to, as I know I just wind myself up. hope the Wine helped and that you're feeling more cheery. Smile

Levana · 23/09/2011 09:50

Thank you all for your congratulations. I really hope to see you all soon on the grad list.

I conceived cycle 13 so hang in there!

I've been round the houses with supplements, acupuncture etc and won't bore you with the details because I know you are all doing it one way or another but I do think it all helped as my cycle is quite different from what it was in Sep 2010 when I started ttc.

If you are into the acupuncture / TCM then Randine Lewis has a really good book called the Infertilty Cure which I find great. Anyway best wishes for the BFP's.

Kayzr · 23/09/2011 06:04

Congratulations Levena!!! GrinGrin

BatsInTheSnowglobe · 22/09/2011 22:32

Thanks for all the congrats... good luck to everyone else, hope you all get your BFP soon too.
Thanks Carlita I'll come find the grad board!

toddle · 22/09/2011 20:02

And euro chick too sorry my phone seemed to delete your name :s.

toddle · 22/09/2011 20:00

Sorry to hear about at catching you babybrain. I'm sure I'll be joining you in a day or two Sad.

On a brighter note dp got me a dog to cheer me up a bit. Apparently I can practice being his mummy until one of our own shows up. he even said he didn't expect things to take this long which made me well up a tad. He said if by next year still haven't had no joy he is of to give the doctors some of his swimmers to check. That rather made me giggle his one of those that would wait until a leg was falling of before he decided to do something.

Huge contrats levana I defiantly remember you and glad you came to share your good news. You must both be really excited Smile
