New thread, hopefully not clashing with another new thread! This Is Our Month, Rat Smackers.

OP posts:
GenericDietCola · 27/07/2011 15:24

Maybe and Scream you are still in the running in my book - I don't care what the stupid pee sticks say.

Night vision goggles and baseball bat at the ready - I'm gonna get you little ratty!

< glugs grapefruit juice and wonders whether cheesecake contains any vitamins or minerals useful for conception. Decides that it must do and plans to make some tonight prior to rat smacking >

NinjaChipmunk · 27/07/2011 15:19

We're all craving cheesecake. ITS A SIGN I TELL YOU!!!!

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 15:17

I have everything crossed for you too Scream (though luckily I am lying down rather than ironing)

Have you got your night vision goggles at the ready Generic they can be right buggers them rats Grin

Biscuits what have you done? I need cheesecake NOW Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 27/07/2011 14:58

Gosh Scream I literally have EVERYTHING crossed for you (which is frankly making the ironing difficult, if not dangerous).xx

Generic woohoo! It's on! I like the SWI-period because it feels like you're actually doing something to make your pregnancy happen. Unlike the 2ww, which is torturous!

If AF still hasn't arrived by the weekend I'll test then, but at the moment I'm only on cd 28, and the longest cycle I've ever recorded was 27 (although my standard is 25), so it's not really that late at all yet. Plus I do think it's quite possible there was a failed implantation attempt this month, which means AF is likely to be later and stronger than usual.

I'm looking forward to a long lazy summer with my twin boys next year! Mostly spent lying out on the common whilst chatting to all of you lovely ladies on MN! Yay for synchronised mat leave!

Biscuitsandtea · 27/07/2011 14:50

Good luck Generic! See a rat? Smack it! Remember positive people get positive pee sticks Smile xx

Biscuitsandtea · 27/07/2011 14:48

I know what you mean Ninja DH did actually try to politely ask if I might be imagining the symptoms this time Hmm

I have a theory though that symptoms might be diff second time around though as you've been through a pg etc and maybe bf etc?

Remind me when are you due to test?

NinjaChipmunk · 27/07/2011 14:43

mmmm cheesecake

ooh generic get smacking!

aw scream that sucks. but as scarlet says its not over yet.

NinjaChipmunk · 27/07/2011 14:41

thanks biscuits its just I've had so many months of this now I don't kow if I start imagining things or not and when I was pg with ds, I don't remember any symptoms whatsoever. To the point that at my 12 week scan I was really worried they would think I was a time waster as there would be nothing there!

scarletfingernail · 27/07/2011 14:41

Sorry to hear that Scream It's not over though until the red witch sings.

Oooohh exciting stuff Generic get that rat well and truly smacked!

GenericDietCola · 27/07/2011 14:37

Scream maybe you should test again, just once. However, I totally admire your resolve re May babies - it's great that everyone in here is now expecting an April or May baby - lovely months to be on mat leave and enjoying a newborn bundle of joy.

Biscuits agree with scream and maybe re cheesecake - tis a good source of calcium so get stuck in! You may 'pop out' sooner this time, so don't be surprised if your clothes get tight sooner.

Update from me: the egg whites are here - yay! Can't wait to announce my bfp on here in 2 weeks or so.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 27/07/2011 14:32

Hiya - apologies for posting and running! I've been off eating for two in anticipation of my imminent pregnancy Grin

In response to queries about poas'ing, I did so quite obsessively from 7 dpo (I know I KNOW insane!) through to 13 dpo (well 14 dpo if I'm honest!) at which point it was all over for me. I'm pretty sure I ov'd on cd 10 (standard day for me, with all the usual signs) and the SWI marathon ended on cd 11. So by 14 dpo if you haven't had the bfp you're out of the running! I fully accept that I might have got my ov date wrong, but following the shagathon it took me about another week to get DH to let me anywhere near him again! Wink So if I ov'd late then I missed the eggy anyway.

The last few days of poas'ing were just too much, I got totally obsessive around 12 dpo (dizziness etc) and actually ended up trying 3 pee sticks in one day! Had to let it go and lick my wounds for a while. Now I'm back on the horse mentally and just waiting for AF to blow the starting whistle! For the symptom spotters among you, all my symptoms ended around 13 dpo, and to be honest I am wondering if I had a chemical pregnancy which wasn't picked up by the pee sticks. I even had serious cramps at 6 dpo which I was convinced was implantation! Followed by the dizziness, throwing up in the morning, and general exhaustion. Then everything just switched off overnight.

Anyways, May babies are awesome! I'm a May baby and therefore a perfect example! Hmm

Biscuits now that you are preggers it is your duty to eat as much cheesecake (and other yummy things) as humanly possible to ensure your baby is being spoiled rotten! The tightening of the waistband is therefore entirely pregnancy-related, and the first evidence of your exceptional parenting skills! Grin at the bigger boobs!

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 14:00

No, not too early Biscuits early pregnancy can cause a lot of bloat. I love cheesecake Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 27/07/2011 13:51

Oh, and I think maybe my boobs are bigger too? Trousers feel tight today which is weird as way to early for them to actually be tight no? Maybe it is cheesecake related Hmm

Biscuitsandtea · 27/07/2011 13:47

Ninja I actually do feel a little different I think. I apologise in advance for the tmi nature of what follows (I would hate to shatter the image you must all have of me as incredibly glamourous.... Hmm):

Symptoms I've had this month include sore boobs (although I don't recall this from my prev pg? Maybe a thing from having bf -and / or been pg before?)

Feeling bloated around and after ov

Spots - normally get a few when AF due but got some horrors about 1 week before.

Period pain style cramps.

Odd bouts of nausea / dizziness but not much (too early yet).

A bit of difficulty pooing Blush (apologies again) - again I had 'troubles' there when pg before but not so bad yet.

Other than that not much. I don't feel enough different iyswim? I feel like I should have some sort of neon sign or obv symptom but it is all hit and miss.

Busting to know what is going on with everyone...

GenericDietCola · 27/07/2011 13:27

Yeah scream - update us please! You sound very diffed to me.

Ninja - twinges sound promising - all set for the big weekend announcement.

Scarlet I had a mc before my DD and one in March. Thanks for positivity re Hot Tub Plan.

Love everyones names and twin pregnancies. I'd just like one more baby although if it was twins I'd be thrilled! We like two boys' names and weirdly keep hearing them mentioned even thought they're quite unusual (Edwin or Edgar)

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 13:15

Also Scream I thought you had AF already too! What's going on Hmm

maybebabyR · 27/07/2011 13:12

Loving imaginary family times Grin DH hates my favourite name for a girl, so am having to work on him! I do have twins in my family, so who knows... Grin

Thanks again for the support everyone. Ninja from what I understand, illness can only delay ovulation, not affect your LP (according to GP anyway) but who knows what is going on Confused

Loved how you thought of me whilst POAS Little that made me Smile

scarletfingernail · 27/07/2011 13:11

Scream have you tested today?

Generic Wowsers we do have a lot in common. Maybe we were seperated at birth? Were your MCs before or after your DD? Mine were both after DS, most recent in January. BTW the hot tub thing definitely means you will be updiffed before you go.

thelittlefriend · 27/07/2011 13:04

Babyslade, just remember today is day 1 of your pregnancy...

maybe I'm gutted you got a bfn, I really was expecting to see something else on here this morning - I thought of you as I was poas getting up this morning (BFN by the way). Laughed at lot at AF being a man though!

Oh and by the way, my fannycam is tomorrow but thanks to everyone who wished me luck for today, I probably mistyped a post yesterday

Imps7 · 27/07/2011 13:00

Oooh Scream I would LOVE twin boys! Little bundles of mischief to keep me and OH amused! They will be called Stanley and Ned when they no doubt arrive bang on schedule. Actually, that's a thought - I shouldn't be referring to just little baby Fedex, should I? Cos that would indicate that I'm not diffed with twins. From now on, I am definitely pregnant with little baby Fedex and little baby, er, DHL.

We have SOOOOO many BFPs due this week - can hardly contain my excitement!!!

NinjaChipmunk · 27/07/2011 12:58

scream I already have ninjaboy but there will also be ninjagirl and ninjaboy2, not sure on names though...

maybe last time I had flu my af started for a day then went awol for a week and then came back for a bit. Twas v strange and I think illness can really affect these things. How are you feeling today?

generic your hol sounds fab, am vv [jealous]

farfalla glad you are feeling better. I second and third what everyone else has said.

biscuits I must know, do you actually feel any different? Did you have any real, tangible symptoms? Or just the usualt twinges and such?

scarlet enjoy the shagathon

Not much to report here except a belly twinge every now and then. Coud be a baby definitely not wind

Biscuitsandtea · 27/07/2011 12:54

Scream!! I thought AF had already arrived (or else I would have been pestering you for updates!). Have you tested at all?

What makes you so certain AF is on her way rather than a bfp?

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 27/07/2011 12:50

Hooray for a visit from Aubers herself!

to Maybe for AF playing silly buggers. I'm in the same boat. AF should have arrived on Monday, and I seem to be going through all the pain of her arrival without the actual event! This is delaying the official day 1 of my pregnancy!! So frustrating. Your cycle has been very unusual overall anyway though, so maybe you ov'd later than you first thought? My fingers are still firmly crossed for you!

Even more congrats to Biscuits! Every new BFP should be celebrated individually!! You are so preggers it could be multiples!!

Imps Grin at your pinchy nips! Hee hee hee. I hope they subside soon, and you move on swiftly from the painful boobs stage straight to the 'huge & abundant' stage as your blindingly obvious pregnancy progresses! Looking forward to your BFP confirmation later this week!!

Generic excellent hot tub plan!! This would add even more certainty to your already imminent BFP! I myself have a similar plan involving Cuba... It's all for a good cause!

Apologies to anyone I've missed, keeping up with this thread is a full-time job! Lots of Wednesday hugs to all, and here's my random question of the day:

"What does your dream future family look like?" Personally in my head my imminent pregnancy (due to start today or tomorrow) will turn out to be a completely surprising identical twin boy pregnancy (to be named Zachary & Xavier) and will of course be followed in three years' time by the arrival of identical twin girls (named Autumn and Blythe). The fact that there is no history of twins in my family, and that DH hates two of those names, is completely irrelevant to the dream!

Any takers? (Or am I the only crazy person daydreaming my future family? Grin )
