Since I've this morning fallen off the March bus, I've chartered and boarded April 2012s bus.

So to start

Sukie1971 (40) ttc#2 AF due 24th July (ish)

Bad thing is the ov tests I use you have to wee in a cup. He spotted the cup this weekend seeing we were both home :/ hopefully he will feel less pressured from now on. I am pretty sure my ov was this weekend but if no BFP I think I will go back to being a bit more low key.

carriedababi · 18/07/2011 13:17

lol, i've just spat my water out at bollock acid

lol

that is brill!

yes i think its best to not put them off and let them[the men] see us doing th eov tests etc!

where do you keep yours?
mine are in the wardrobe, but perhaps i should sneak them into the bathroom.

dh does know we are ttc btw, just as you say see how it goes kind of a way.

he would be horrifieto read these boards to know we discuss every detail of swi cm periods etc etc

Hi all! Can I sneak onto the bus please? it is VERY early days but DH and I had a conversation about "stopping using contraception and seeing how things go". To him that probably just means wait and see. To me it means I'll be hanging out on these boards and counting cycle days. its going to be hard to avoid the ovulation sticks!

Its a pretty nerve wracking time because i'd love another DC but it took 6 months to conceive DS and then he was born extremely prematurely (24+1) and was in hospital for 5 months before coming home. We're very lucky he's alive, but he is still struggling from his early start, he's 26 months now. If we do get pg i'll have a cervical stitch placed at 12 - 14 weeks and might be on bedrest from then until delivery. aargh!

would normally hang out on the Bliss messageboard but my mum reads it and i don't want her to know we are TTC. :-) If you know me from over there, please don't mention it on Bliss!!

carried my mistake was telling my DH, so now (for the rest of the cycle and fingers cross not much longer) I am going to be more hush hush. He doesn't know I have him on a everyother day plan be just thinks it's summer lovin :)

spout · 18/07/2011 12:15

carriedababi I tend not to mention too much detail about charts / ov sticks etc. Not that he listens anyway; when I mentioned about taking folic acid recently he looked up from his laptop all alarmed and said "Bollock acid? What the fuck do you want me to do with that?" Grin

carriedababi · 18/07/2011 11:56

does your dh/dp know you do the tests?
i try and do it insecret as to not put dh off!

as i have irregegular cycles, i will be glad to do the ov tests, as then i will know to expect a period 14 days after a positive ov test, then if no period comes i can them do a pg test.

rather tahn not knowing when to test iyswim

ColleenEatsVeg · 18/07/2011 11:50

Well this month I have mainly adopted the "every other day" method. We did hop to SWI on the positive but haven't since because we both found it to be a bit too much pressure. We are going to go back to everyother day I think but be mindful of the ov tests

carriedababi · 18/07/2011 11:37

thanks coleen.

so when do you try and make sure you have swi.

before the test comes up positive?

and when the test comes up positive

ColleenEatsVeg · 18/07/2011 11:30

I think it's meant to indicate that you will be ovulating in the next few hours or days. I noticed that (without too much tmi) that my cm was pretty apparent Thursday, Friday and Saturday and only had a positive test Saturday. Sunday and today I noticed I have pretty much no cm. Crossing my fingers all the signs are in my favor.

carriedababi · 18/07/2011 11:02

right so im going to use ov tests this time, going ot start from about day 10.

so when are you suppose to make sure you have swi?

as soon as the test shows positive
[i know you should have as much as poss!]
but just checking when you need to make sure you have swi as much as possible.

lauraloo09 · 18/07/2011 10:34

morning everyone hope everyone is ok :)

Been up all night with my DD she was violently sick all night. what with that and cramping all night its not been a good start to the day. the only plus side is that AF has still not arrived. Im tempted to go and buy a first response today to take tomorrow but hate the thought of wasting money lol I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon due to the problem with AF not showing up and the cramping heres hoping they can give me some info to help ease my confused mind lol

ColleenEatsVeg · 17/07/2011 21:25

Laura lovely to hear you had a great day, I love Edinburgh. Sorry about your tummy troubles do you think you ate something?

ColleenEatsVeg · 17/07/2011 21:21

Karbea yes yesterday was positive. Friday negative, Saturday Positive and Sunday negative. Which is slightly confusing because I thought that you have a few days of positive in order to show you that you are in the fertile window. Hmm maybe I'm wrong. And advice would be great. Are you using FF or ov sticks?

lauraloo09 · 17/07/2011 20:32

hiya everyone

notinmykitchen so sorry that af got you today i hope the may bus is better luck for you xx

spout i remember reading about eating pineapple when I was overdue, quite interested if it can help with ovulation

well edinburgh zoo was fab, nearly never went as the weather was changing every minute but when we got there the sun came out and stayed out. my DD loved every minute of it, esp the monkeys and the penguins. Went to see the penguin parade and a group of around 15 came out and was within touching distance of Sarah which made her so hyper lol. It was an eventful journey home tho. We live around 1.5hours away and as soon as we left for home my stomach was going into terrible cramps, so bad i couldnt drive (my DH doesnt drive so we were stuck) i just managed to get to a service station just before TMI ALERT diahorrea started we finally managed to get home 2.5 hours later :(..the cramps are still on and off but at least im not running to the toilet anymore. im not sre whats caused this, but my af is prob going to show soon :(

ColleenEatsVeg · 17/07/2011 20:28

hi Karbea I had a positive one yesterday but not the day before or today which seems a bit odd. I did utilize the it though :) First time using ov tests, bought 60 and going to use them til they run out. This is only our second month ttc but apparently the last few months with a 45 ucl I wasnt ovulating so taking home tests and have blood test in two weeks. Eager to see the results.

spout · 17/07/2011 19:54

All I know about eating pineapple was chomping down kilos of the stuff when I was overdue with DS. All it did was fire up the heartburn Hmm What does it do RE ov?

I'm persevering with FF despite the spikiest possible chart. Also doing ov sticks, neg so far. Bonking anyway Grin

Karbea · 17/07/2011 19:47

Colleen did you get a positive ov test yesterday then?

ColleenEatsVeg · 17/07/2011 16:41

welcome Karbea

So I did a ov test this morning and came back negative, so many yesterdays test was wrong, oh well cant complain to early afternoon SWI :)

Karbea · 17/07/2011 15:31

carrie eating pineapple after ov.

Karbea · 17/07/2011 15:30

Hello,

I've ov'd today so I'm on the bus.

(37) ttc1, cycle 9, Af due around the 30th.

1sttimetryer · 17/07/2011 15:20

Evil AF Notinmykitchen, So sorry, good luck on the May bus, hope you get more luck there!

carriedababi · 17/07/2011 14:10

did someone tell me something about eatting pineapple, back in feb, can't really remmeber, it was something like eat pineapple, before ovulation, then something else after, or could have been anotehr way round?

ColleenEatsVeg · 17/07/2011 13:16

Curse her Notinmykitchen

I had a faint second line on my ovulation stick and almost backflipped. Today when I test if it's only one line then I know yesterday's was faulty (as it says on the packet it is when there is only a faint line). I'm an obesssive planner I know lol what have I become.

Notinmykitchen · 17/07/2011 13:02

Well I'm out, AF got me this morning. Off to the May bus for me. Good luck everyone else!
