Thanks worm! You don't look like a barbour wearing, 4 x 4 driving type either..... Sorry sparkly.

My gp picked up the hb at 12+6, and several ladies on the Freak Out thread have them, so thought I'd give it a go. It's been great so far, really reassuring and it only cost £25.00!

I hate tutoring too, it smacks of desperation and as only reasonably well of people can afford it, why do they just not go down the private route?!

Wormshuffler · 01/07/2011 11:55

harrased you are no way a granny!! unbelievable!! can you really hear a heartbeat on a doppler at 15 weeks?? wow!

I am off today and researching 11 plus tutoring techniques, it would appear all DS's mates have been going to private tutors for 6 months and although we have been doing work at home with him, I now fear this will not be enough as the tutored kids will push up the pass mark and only the top 145 scores get in.
I am dead against tutoring, as I feel if they need 6 months intensive tutoring to pass the test they arn't clever enough to go so it equates to no more than buying your way into grammar school. However now I am going to have to step up the tutoring in order that DS who does deserve a place being in the top tables at school, doesn't get squeezed out by them. I have a massive rant boiling up and am having to bite my lip at the school gates!
And breathe!!

harassedandherbug · 01/07/2011 09:03

I've just messaged wombat, star, mrsb & worm by details. Sparkly you'll have to join!

Star I don't blame you for having another scan! I was scanned at 6, 8 & 12 weeks but would have loved a 10 week one.

Worm Yaaay!! 12 weeks!! I was 15 yesterday and I don't mental quite as much.

yellow hope you're ok and looking after yourself.

emma how did the bloods go?

Not much news here. Lots of stretching pains going on and my bump has def popped this week! I also have a doppler! God it's great..... cost me £25.00 off ebay and I'm using it at least once a day. I figure it's going to save me a lot of mentalling and hassling my mw. I love it, and it's great for dh too. Dd doesn't get what all the fuss is about, but told me for watching Transformers 2 with her as it's too old for the baby.

wombatinwaiting · 01/07/2011 08:28

Ooh ladies who aren't on fb yet, get connected! I've been busy stalking casually browsing pics of star and worm - very interesting and their kids are toooooo cute for words!

Star82 · 01/07/2011 07:54

Hey worm, actually I think I'm taking the verb 'to mental' to another level and gonna try get another scan today if they can squeeze me in!!!! I'm back at our old house doing some jobs on it to either get it sold/up for rent and it turns out I can get an early scan there for £60! Actually, I probably not too far from where you are I think. DH thinks I'm mental and goes on about how I can't keep getting scanned every 2 weeks but I don't car. I think once I can feel baby moving myself, I'll relax. I didn't have any m/c symptoms last time so can't rely on 'not bleeding/cramping' to indicate all is well.
Glad you're at 12 weeks and really hope all is well at the scan. The kids will be so excited especially as they'll be able to get involved a lot more at their age. I'm still not having any sickness (but never have had any with my pg's), just swelled up boobies. That's as far as I go with symptoms thus far. A little more tired I suppose as well.

wombat, don't think I can send a link to me at mo as on iPhone but will do so when I get on a computer.
sparkly, get thi sen on!!! :) xx

Wormshuffler · 01/07/2011 06:28

Ohh it's like the first day at school when you go around asking if everyone will be your friend!! I have sent you my details on a private mumsnet message wombat

Shame you are not on facebook sparkly but I guess you get to keep the lady of the manor image you have of me!

star I know it's really weird seeing what people look like, you have a cute family, how is the pg going? any symptoms? another scan on the horizon yet?

Mrsb if you are lurking, hope you are ok, and not too nervous about next weeks tests.

Well I am at the magic 12 weeks today, the sickness has got better as the week has gone on, and I actually have some energy! cue mentalling! but they do say that you should start to feel better at 12 weeks so hey, with no reason to think otherwise I am just enjoying it! Can not wait for the scan, I feel like I am going to explode if I don't tell the kids soon!

wombatinwaiting · 01/07/2011 05:36

ooh! This is getting exciting! mrsb I have just added you as a friend with a personal message (if you're unsure initials are HL). Maybe you can point me in the right direction for star and worm once you've (hopefully!) added me as a friend!

Also getting excited about the thought of a RL meet-up. sparkly - I'm not sure I'll be back before about March or so next year Sad as won't be able to fly after end of Oct and then the thought of travelling with a really wee one is a bit scary.... do join up on fb though - you can try and be good with it and just keep it to mn people to start with? Tis a bit addictive to be honest.... in any event, will look forward v much to seeing you and Monty, surrounded by educational wooden toys of course! Grin

Good to hear from you star - when's your next scan?

You must be getting excited about tuesday worm or just plain petrified? I'm sure all your sickness is a good sign though (although sorry that it's affecting your work visits too though!). TT sounds fab!

And how are you feeling yellow after your really bleugh days last week? Hope a bit better.

Hope all went well with the bloods emma.

Good to hear from you wellie and hope the job-hunting bears lots of fruit soon (and your SWI too!)

Fingers crossed for you this month marathon - agh to the 2WW! I think you may be the one keeping up the young end of this thread which is great with all us ladies of slightly more advanced years!

Not much to report from here other than I seem to be getting tummy cramps in the afternoons / evenings - feels more digestive than anything so I'm thinking it's just all the organs getting a bit squished - can you believe wombatbean is about the size of a mango and around 15cm head to arse now?!

Talking of getting on, nurse and maramara must be getting onto the final stretch soon - if you're around ladies, do give us a wave and let us know how you're getting on.

Up to our eyes in moving stuff at the mo (well DH doing the heavy stuff while I'm on mn! Blush Grin )

Waves to all! x

Sparklywine · 30/06/2011 16:00

Gargh, I'm not on Facebook! Wanna see Worm's barbour jacket and 4x4 and airbrushed wrinkles Grin, and Star's, er, bikini pic And Mrsb's pics of her debauched nights out! Grin
I might have to join up, but it's the thin end of the wedge, and I use up enough time aimlessly surfing researching on t-interweb!
Mid-July is a bit too soon for me to take a day off work and book a train down from Manchester I'm afraid but would love to meet up at some point; any idea when you're over next Wombat so I can plan, I love planning!
Have eaten terribly today, a cupcake and a homemade brownie that was gooey and heavy as a brick. I am eating for two, and they're an obese, unhealthy, greedy couple at that!
I was thinking earlier that I will definitely post a photo on my profile of myself and Monty in December, when we are both scrubbed up and slightly smug. It seems to me to be the culmination of a long journey, and you've travelled with me, laughing and crying along the way

Star82 · 30/06/2011 09:19

This is so funny. worm you look so different from what I imagined. I thought you'd be older for some reason Blush, probably with you having older children I suppose. Your hair colour is different to what I imagined too!!!

Star82 · 29/06/2011 21:36

Oooh, i've done it. Also in case you're unsure my initials are SH and it's a florida beach bikini pic with DH Grin

Star82 · 29/06/2011 21:34

Ok then worm double eek!!! I wonder if we are anything like we imagined?? Oooh, we're all being very open/brave this evening!!!

Wormshuffler · 29/06/2011 21:22

I'm inboxing you my details star remember girls what happens on mumsnet stays on mumsnet!!

Star82 · 29/06/2011 21:20

I'd maybe try what worm suggested and report it, unless you aren't particularly concerned anyway :)

mrsb33 · 29/06/2011 21:14

Star not sure about deleting, just assuming as I can't see where??
Well ladies u know me so go ahead and add away!

OP posts:
Star82 · 29/06/2011 21:04

You don't come on for a few days and it's all going off.....london meet ups, wombat having clandestine meetings with fellow mentallers, hehehe Grin.

Glad the meet up went well wombat!!

Do you know what? I never thought of having a 'virtual' meet up on Facebook or the like. Is that true mrsb?? Can't we delete posts on here?? I've always assumed you could....eek! Don't think i've put anything too bad on here....yet!!! Let me know if anyone wants my details and i'll inbox them. I think you all seem 'safe' enough, Wink

Marathon, i think we have similar stats. Im 29, about 5'6, 10-12, biggish boobs Blush. Feel huge at the mo though as so tired recently and although i'm still in my freya DD's, i've all filled out like they go when you're breast feeding. It kills when my bra comes off...they're like rocks!! Fingers crossed for this month even though you think it's a none starter.

worm glad you enjoyed TT. Regardless of whether i'm pregnant or not, i always go through everyones name before i find the correct one...even the two dogs!! DH sees me on here but don't think he thinks i post so no idea what he'd make of it :)

Good luck with the job hunting Wellie

Has emma been on to say what happened with her bloods??

How are you feeling now yellow? Don't know how you girls that are working do it. I'm just at home with the littlest child and feel whacked some days. I'm considering taking iron supplements early. I always have to go on them anyway as it always shows up low, even when i'm not pregnant!!

Hi sparkly / harrassed!!

Wormshuffler · 29/06/2011 20:31

I think you will have to press the report button, and ask for it to be deleted, just in case there are any weirdo's who would add you and pretend to be someone else [suspicious emotion]

mrsb33 · 29/06/2011 20:14

Thanks worm, lovely to put a face to a name!! Probably not one of mybest ideas putting my name on a mumsnet thread!!! Don't think I can even delete it!!! Eeeekkkkkkkkkk

Hi girls
Well I am back from my night of squeeling, we managed to get a good spot close to the stage and had a fab time, thankfully the sickness kept at bay all night and I was able to enjoy it. I am paying for it today though! been sicker than ever today, I do a job where I have to sell in to independant shops, and I had to puke in one of their toilets today, thanks god it was in one of my nice villages, as some of the shops I go in there is no way I would ask to use their toilet! The chap was everso nice about it, gave me a drink, I told him the reason (didn't want him to think I was hungover)! and he was full of congratulations. Now just been left with a splitting headache and came home at lunch and went to bed for the afternnon.

Nice to see you wellie sending good job vibes your way............it's a sure fire bfp if you find your dream job.

marathon full swing on the 2ww for you , it's all crossed here for you.

Pleased to see you are back as harrased that's what you will always be to us!! hope you are putting your feet up now after being a scrubber cheeky Grin.

Glad the meet up was good fun and not awkward, as for us meeting up, sounds great to me. I could only do the Friday, I'm getting on for an hour and a half away from kings cross, so lunch could be do-able. I'm not sure what DH would make of it, think he would worry that I am meeting up with some greasy 50 year old internet perv, so we would have to come up with a way of proving we are who we say we are prior, maybe facebook if any of you do that?

Hang on in there yellow your half way throught the worst bit, home straight to 12 weeks, keep yer chin(s) [wink) up :)

Hello to sparkly emma *mrsb (hope you are ok) everyone else sorry if I have forgotten anyone, don't think it means anything............I have been calling My DS my DH's name for a week! too early for PG brain?

MarathonMama · 29/06/2011 14:35

Hello ladies!

Just to apologise, I'm still lurking but haven't got anything very exciting to say so am enjoying your news instead. I think I'm 5dpo but not expecting anything this month so am patiently waiting for next month instead.

Good to hear that some of you are feeling sick, bloated, etc etc, in a good way of course.

Mrsb glad you're getting checked, here's hoping for good news soon.

Worm I am soooo jealous, how was TT? I've seen photos of the big man thingy and it looks amazing.

If we're doing vital stats, I'm 23, 5'8" a size 8/10 on top (big boobs) and a 6 on the bottom... Grin. I wish. I'm 5'6", and size 10-12 all over.

wellieboots · 29/06/2011 11:30

emma good luck for your results x

wombatinwaiting · 29/06/2011 10:36

Oh poor you yellow - any chance of working from home? Dare I ask how the essay writing is going? Can you get an extension?

I will indeed be in the London area from around 18th to 22nd July so if anyone fancies it, let me know!

Well remembered on emma's blood tests - you may officially take over as Queen of Spreadsheets! Grin. Good luck emma - let us know how you go.

yellowtomato · 29/06/2011 08:02

ahhhh wombat thank you. Feeling a bit worse today, think it is tiredness as I don't get home until 10 pm in Monday and have acu at 8 am tues and never really catch up. I'm sure meeting up can be arranged, didn't you say you'll be in London next month?

Emma good luck for blood tests today.

Waves to all!
