Welcome Purple, you are in a good place, this is a very lucky thread! Congratulations on your bfp, statistics are in your favour for a happy outcome.
Oooh, Spring baby! Grin
Yellow, Monty is due at Christmas! Like, duh! Noel is good, as is Holly for a girl, Carol perhaps, Gabriel if only I could say it properly........
Had a bit of a wail yesterday, read a thread about the early days of breastfeeding, and the baby feeds for 45 mins-ish on each boob, then takes a quick break barely allowing you to have a poo, then starts all over again! 24 hours a day! This isn't what Gina has told me! Grin Visons of a gently suckling baby nuzzling in (smelling of talc, mmmm), a roaring fire, contented purring kittens, twinkly Christmas lights, and Vicar of Dibley on the box went out of the window. I am barely going to have time to bake a cupcake! Grin

Wormshuffler · 08/07/2011 07:30

Hi Purple buns welcome, although sorry for your situaltion! Hope this one is a sticky bean!
Thinking of you today yellow it will be fine stay calm. , is dh going with you?
Glad the house move is going well wombat and Grin for the 20week scan, mine is booked for 27/8, seems soooo long away!!
Potentially only 9 weeks left manamamma that seems unreal! glad you are still around.
I have only been sick once this morning and now I feel ticket e boo, I'm 13+3 now and managed to stay awake until 11pm last night! Is this the magic time when I am suddenly better? I am ordering a doppler today, harrased if you are about, which brand did you get? Off to buy new bra's today and I might "walk through" the baby section at John Lewis too.

Purplebuns · 07/07/2011 21:09

Hi, I was pointed your way, I got my bfp on Saturday and I am really trying not to worry. failing I had a MC in October and a chemical in April, so stressing over every twinge. I am now further on than my chemical, just have to get passed ten weeks without mishap then I may start to relax a little bit!
I am hoping that your company will help with this, as I am too gloomy for the March antenatal thread. :)

yellowtomato · 07/07/2011 19:44

harassed sorry you are having a shitty week but great news on the bp

sparkly I shall look forward to the croissant. It is annoying when people are so unoriginal, you could call him Noel! Grin What is your actual dd?

yellowtomato · 07/07/2011 19:39

Evening ladies

Am laying on the sofa as usual feeling sick and tired. I was hoping for better news about when the sickness will stop. I haven't been out for 5 weeks and feel sick most of the time. Bit fed up, sorry for moaning.

Scan is tomorrow at 9.20, feeling very nervous.

Hurrah for the scan wombat sounds really great and glad the moving went well.

Sparklywine · 07/07/2011 19:15

Just checking in to make sure all went well with Wombat, great news! Slap me for asking, but did you ask not to be told what gender the babs was then? I'm getting this all the time at the moment, along with "Oooh, a Christmas baby!' It's driving me mad, but I know people are just being annoying nice and don't know umpteen people have already said that. Is the whole of December Christmas then?

Yellow, good luck for tomorrow, think of you and will get some croissants and lurpack ready for you x

wombatinwaiting · 07/07/2011 18:11

Wow - what a lot of news to catch up on!

Firstly huuuuuuge yay for worm Grin - so pleased all was so positive and that you had a good nuchal result.

And whoop whoop to marathon too - we'll be waiting with bated breath for saturday's POAS! How are you feeling about it? Trying not to think about it too much but finding that impossible?

emma - sorry to hear it's been a bit of struggle of late but great that you have a plan and when you do get pg, let me know if you want any tips on the fanjo insertions - I feel I am quite an expert now.

Poor you yellow - must have been a huge struggle at work this week. I think your scan is 9.30 tomorrow? We'll be eagerly awaiting results. Could you get some pills in the mean time for the nausea? Loads of luck and hugs for tomorrow.

Eeeeek to mrsb! Did they give you any warning?! Hope that you get some helpful news from it all.

Good news on the bp harassed - not wanting it to go up further is a good excuse for kicking back a bit, I think.

17+1 sparkly?! Boy that's flown by! Glad to hear all is well.

Fab to hear from you mana and with such a wriggly friend too.

All going well here thanks. Yes - your post-it served you well sparkly -20 week scan today and I was surprisingly blase about it - I think I was so stressed with the house move, I didn't get a chance to worry. Anyway, all was tickety boo - he spent ages looking at the heart and even slowed down the motion so he could point out the valves moving (like little gates opening and shutting), brain measuring normal size, 5 digits on each limb, kidneys functioning and stomach full (greedy bugger). WE got a report afterwards with all the info and at the end it said "Genitalia normal (parents do not wish to know the gender)" which really made us chuckle! We got to see the 3D view again but to be honest, he still looks quiet ET-like to us. The cutest thing was seeing his mouth open and close like he was trying to talk to us! Have also been having quite a few flutterings of late which has made me mental a whole lot less - some may even say I'm quite laid back about the whole thing now Shock!

Thanks for asking about the house move - I had forgotten what a trial it is.... although I really wasn't doing any of the hard work - the poor packers in this heat..... anyway, now we're in and the air con works, the internet works and quite a bit of stuff is out of boxes, I'm feeling much calmer. It's a big place but short on storage so shopping trip is looming!

Absolutely cream crackered knackered here so heading to bed shortly. Good night!

manamana · 07/07/2011 15:52

And good luck mrsb too, yep ouch to the internal... Her whole hand!?

manamana · 07/07/2011 15:51

Hi all. I've been trying to catch up on everyone's news and it sounds fantastic, more bfps and great scan news so big hugs/manly slaps on the back to everyone. Good luck with the clomid Emma. I have a bit of time on my hands as have been signed off for a week with my spd, have been sleeping a lot! Am now 29 weeks and have a v wriggly friend in my belly which is very reassuring, anxiety levels still pretty high though - still can't believe I'll actually have a baby soon although I have now bought a couple of new bits of baby clothes :-) will be having a cs so probably only another 9 weeks to go. Anyway, sorry to be such useless poster on this thread, do occasionally come on to catch up and just lurk but keeping my fingers crossed for us all and enjoying all your news x

Sparklywine · 07/07/2011 09:36

Hi everyone, so much news to catch up on!
Wombat, I think it's your 20 week scan today according to my post-it note Grin, good luck hun! I'll be interested to know what they check. I expect you're worried, it's a real hurdle, but will make it so much more real, exciting!
Marathon, congrats, looking good for you! Worm, really glad the scan went well for you, DS sounds like a sweetheart. You will be quite a full household now, hope they finish renovating the East Wing in time for your new arrival!
Yellow, my nausea has snuck away over the past two weeks (am now 17+1), crops up occasionally when I'm tired or hungry, but I actually managed to eat a dhal and keema curry last night without wanting to retch, so am over the worst! It will get better, try and get as much sleep as possible, and eat what you need.
Oh, want some toast now!
emma, sorry things are getting stressful on the ttc front, it's easy to get frustrated and take it out on each other. Hope it has worked out!
Anyway, got to go, work so busy, hi to everyone else I haven't mentioned, hopeless with names! x

harassedandherbug · 07/07/2011 09:27

Morning!

Sorry I haven't been on much, having a bit of a busy and slightly crappy week. Much stress at work and a couple of odd comments, funny how that's only since I've told them I'm preg....

marathon yay for a bfp!!! Got my fingers firmly x'd for you.

worm fab news on your scan lovely. So pleased for you.

wombat Are you settling in well?

emma I'm sorry about the results, but at least you're getting answers and that it can be dealt with. Sounds like it's all very stressful for you and dh.

yellow my sickness is nearly all gone now and I'm 16 wks today, although I feel like crap today and brushing my teeth made me throw up! First time for 3 weeks though, def improvement. The improvement was noticeable around 14 weeks for me.

mrsB youch @ your internal!!! Men get off lightly really......

sparkly how's it going??

I had mw yesterday for a bp check, and it's fine. Basically the doc was looking at the top number which had gone up, but that's to do with the volume of blood. So as we're prg it's the bottom number that's really important and they're happy for that to go up by 15-20 from booking in. As mw said, you'd think the gp would know that Hmm! Got to hear the hb which was lovely, and confirmed I'm listening to the right thing with my doppler. Strangely it was the mw that delivered dd and in the same room.....

Wormshuffler · 06/07/2011 21:11

Hey girls

How is the house move going wombat?

yellow I am feeling less sick now, but being sick more if that makes any sense? and now I have headaches too!

Well emma sorry about the results but at least it is good to know, and sounds like they are able to help with it. Did you see that programme last night about the sextuplets? She was on chlomid.........not to scare you or anything Wink bless your DH.

Great news on the marathon fingers crossed for saturdays test and it being a stick bean.

Big love to mrsb for tomorrows tests.

Everything ok sparkly?
The kids were SOOOOO excited. DS went on a trip today and stood up on the bus and announced he was getting a new brother or sister. The first I knew was when 3 girls from his class came over and congratulated me! so sweet. I have told far too many people, if it all goes tits up it will be awful having to untell everyone...... Think positive wormy!!!

mrsb33 · 06/07/2011 21:10

Hi ladies, emma I'm glad you have an answer, fingerrs crossed the clomid gives you that allusive bfp! Well basically the doc did an internal on monday, I thought they would use a metal clamp! Oh no she used her whole hand!!! Ekkkkk. Had my 21 day bloods today and am now booked in for a pelvic scan, just waiting on a date, then its down to dh to do his [sample]
Will keep you all upto date as and when, back to lurking I go. Xxx

emmaandthestar · 06/07/2011 21:03

MrsB33 Haha on the internal, my doc was chatting away about his day and was far too young and was a bit like an oxbridge student! Its quite ahem, uncomfortable :)

Congrats Marathon (follows MrsB with a squishy tomato!)
I am on CD29 now of what may be a 32-38 day cycle, here's hoping its shorter this month!

Night night all

yellowtomato · 06/07/2011 19:49

Hey Emma, no meet ups yet but one planned for London on 22nd if you are around?

yellowtomato · 06/07/2011 19:47

Good to hear from you Emma ttc takes all the romance out of it all doesn't it? Great news that you have some kind of explanation and action plan. Fingers crossed

marathon hurrah for the bfp, it is a worrying time and a bit too early for symptoms anyway. Fingers crossed and keep posting for hand holding.

So those who are over 12 weeks and were sick before, when did it stop? Please tell me it stopped or at least improved and when? I'm really struggling to cope with feeling sick all the time.

mrsb33 what kind of examination was it, was it a lap and die? Did you have your scan today? Where is wombat with her spreadsheet? Grin

emmaandthestar · 06/07/2011 19:39

MrsB33 glad they could delete your post! Can't believe you have had meet ups etc - was I away for weeks?

emmaandthestar · 06/07/2011 19:31

Hello everyone,
I am sorry for not being around a combination of being really busy with work and feeling pretty low.
Thank you for all remembering the blood tests! they came back showing I have low progesterone levels and luteal phase defect so I have been prescribed Clomid (although I did get a :) on the OKP on the 26th) and if when I become pregnant I need to do the fanjo stuff :)

Typical though a combination of heat and too much pressure DH just couldn't DTD - needless to say there was much sobbing and shouting which added to the romantic atomosphere that we were trying to create.... anyway we managed it the next too days so am near the end of the 2ww but am not holding out any hope.
Just hoping to get AF soon so I can start the Clomid.

I am now going to busy myself catching up on how you all are and post again.

Sparkly like your discription of peg trousers but they can be quite flattering

MarathonMama · 06/07/2011 11:39

Awww Worm fab news! It makes me quite emotional when I hear of other people's good scans. What did the DCs say?

Well, I took your advice Yellow, Clearblue test this morning - BFP - 1-2 weeks. Eeek! I think they're quite sensitive too though? I don't think I'll be comfortable until I've tested with a Boots cheapie again at the weekend (they only work from the day of your missed AF). Not feeling excited at all, feel like it's bound to fail again, there's not a symptom in sight (apart from wooziness the other night). I haven't told DH, I feel like I want to deal with it alone until I'm sure of it (apart from telling you lovely ladies of course).

I'm hoping it's real but trying really hard not to hope at the same time.

MrsB I sort of want to know but I don't how they did your examination, a bit like a car crash IYKWIM.

Going to bury my head in the sand till the weekend...

wellieboots · 06/07/2011 11:29

fantastic news worm, so happy for you that you can let your secret out now - and hopefully relax a bit as well! Grin Grin Grin
And marathon, wayhey! A line is a line, especially if you've def had a BFN since your mc. Congrats to you too Grin Grin

Where is everyone?!

mrsb33 · 05/07/2011 19:11

Fab news worm! Love the pic, looks like the babys floating on a fluffy cloud!
Marathon. Congrats, agree a alines a line [pelts a rotten egg in marathons direction, and misses, darn just my luck]
Had my internal yest, aparantly all normal but omg! I never realised that's how they did it! Ekkkkk now all booked in for scan and my bloodys tomorrow.
Waves to all, now back to lurking! X

yellowtomato · 05/07/2011 16:11

Hurrah, fab news worm so happy for you.

And congratulation marathon get another test, go on now! But a line is a line!

Was sick when I got home from my course at 10 last night as I was so tired, can't wait to get home and lie down.

Star82 · 05/07/2011 14:56

Great news worm!! Grin.

Wormshuffler · 05/07/2011 14:48

Eeeeeeeekkkkkk! there is a real life wriggling baby in there !!! measuring 13 weeks exactly a few day forward of my lmp date (which I am sure about) so I guess I must have ovulated early. He/She was being very awkward for the sonographer and was layed face down. So I got sent out for a walk. The nuchal measured as 1.35mm which is apparently on the low end.
Thanls for all your support ladies, and sorry I have been so nuerotic/paranoid Grin

Well marathon a line is a line in my book!! get yourself a cheapie and check again. If that has a line then you can be more confident of it!!

Gotta dash and do the school run sorry if I missed anything xxxxx (can't wait to tell the kids)!!! Grin

MarathonMama · 05/07/2011 14:04

Oooh, very best of luck Worm! Hope it goes well.

Hello ladies, good to hear that all of you are thriving. I've been away at my parents' house. Not much internet access (they still use dial-up, need I say more) so haven't been able to lurk as much as usual Wink

My AF is due on Sat, was feeling a bit woozy yesterday and couldn't sleep last night so POAS this am. It was a very very very faint BFP on a FR test. Not sure whether it means anything, although I had a BFN a couple of weeks after my ERPC in May it was on a cheapie, so not sure if the FR test is just picking up some residual hCG. Arrrgh! I suppose only time will tell. Roll on the weekend...

Harassed am jealous of your mini-break! Sounds lurvely.

Yellow I agree with the others re. nips. I never had any discharge with my dd and they didn't really get any darker (but they were bigger, as was everything in that area).
