Not a regular here so not sure how acceptable it is to moan ... Am 7+1wks after mc in March and am already feeling that this is going soooooo slowly. Am in a country where it's quick to get scan appointments, so no point even making a booking until am at at least 10 and it just seems ages away.

I'm lucky enough to have 2ds already and to have had pretty much hassle-free pregnancies with them. This time around, while I haven't been sick I just have a permanent sense of low-level nausea and feel quite listless (or exhausted, depending on the time of day). I completely appreciate that this is nothing compared with some of you, but just feel like a wee moan.

One thing on my mind, however: I work full-time in quite a responsible job and feel rather unmotivated. Should I inform my boss (who has had mcs herself in the past) that I'm pregnant? I don't want her - or anyone else - making allowances but I do wonder if it might help to explain a possibly obvious lack in positivism.

Feel free to put the boot in if you think I should keep my trivialities to myself.

harassedandherbug · 05/09/2011 20:28

MrsB update: She can't log on at the moment but is now 7 weeks and feeling rubbish which mw has said is good. I have to say I agree after feeling completely rubbish with this one!

wombatinwaiting · 05/09/2011 11:12

Aw harassed - she's adorable. There's something school tunics and fresh white ankle socks that is soooo loveable. Sorry you got the sack - hope you got to rest up your poor hips while CM did the duty!

harassedandherbug · 05/09/2011 10:23

Mmm yum, lovely breakfast!! Am I the only person obsessed by food? The cravings are subsiding thank goodness, apart from the need for the odd bacon sarnie.

Wombat happy anniversary! Well done Mr Wombat for tea and flowers.

2009 was a good year to get married, we did too Grin.

Sister is in hospital for a few days, just such a pain she's on the Isle of Wight! Takes best part of the day....

Dd now at school. I got the sack, and she wanted the child minder to take her! Pick on my Fb if you want a nose.

wombatinwaiting · 05/09/2011 05:58

Yay for movements worm - hope you and harassed managed to get everything sorted for the big return to school today - I bet those summer hols passed quickly.....

Poor you on crutches harassed - is it a case of once you've got spd, it's a case of managing it for the best rather than it will go away? I have found yoga stretches fab for keeping my backache at bay but I've no idea if it will work for you. I really hope that the chiro does the trick - can't be any fun..... ouch for your sis too Shock - is she being well looked after?

Tis our anniversary today (only number 2) so was greeted with a cup of tea this morning and a huge bunch of flowers Smile. Off for my anti-D injection tomorrow - apparently they inject it right into the muscle- ouch! I'm hoping they might measure me too - I'm sure I should have had this fundal height thing done by now (although I'm not quite sure what it actually is), especially as bump doesn't seem particularly big - always something to fret about, isn't there?!

Waves to all and leaves out fresh baguettes with President butter and Bonne Maman jam - feeling tres francais today! x

harassedandherbug · 04/09/2011 18:41

I've had a really busy weekend!! Mil has been in hospital for 8ish weeks now, so had to go there on Saturday, which takes a huge chunk of the day.

Today we've been to Chichester in the pouring rain to pick up the buggy (it's red fleeces and dark grey base mama), and then went to Southsea as it had finally stopped raining. Just finished off dd's summer scrapbook, the school had better send it home and not chuck it in the bin! Now trying to persuade her to have a shower. It's not late at all apparently........ And she doesn't even want me to take her to school tomorrow, she wants the child minder!!Looking forward to sitting down later.

I had physio on Friday and I'm on crutches now Sad. I was gutted on Friday and admit to having a bit of a sob. Used them yesterday and they were awful, but didn't today and am suffering......... I have chiro in 10days, so hopeing she'll work some magic. I do feel wonky iykwim.

Oh and my sister is in hospital on the Isle of Wight after breaking 6 ribs whilst sailing. She's in agony and has an epidural now.

All go here!!!

wombat saw your dog on Fb, she is indeed beautiful!

Wormshuffler · 04/09/2011 17:36

I'm here! Just have nothing interesting to say, hope the new pooch is settling in well wombat and that you are feeling a bit brighter sparkly.
I have lots of movement today which is lovely :)
Busy tonight sorting kids out for back to school tomorrow. And picking up a Moses basket and rocking stand from an old school friend and will also get to play with her 5 months old.
Hope you are all ok x

wombatinwaiting · 04/09/2011 12:56

Tis very quiet on here... hope everyone is well and enjoying your Sundays. Went back to work today but not too manic (hence time to post here Grin ).

Think I am having ice cream withdrawls from hols- can't seem to think about anything other than that right now!

wombatinwaiting · 03/09/2011 13:52

Aw sparkly - sorry you're feeling a bit rubbish - can Mrs Parkly do anything to get you back into feeling blooming Wink? Well done for putting up the cotbed - I felt funny even ordering ours last week and it won't even arrive for another month! Have you read Gina yet? It seems to split people into 2 distinct camps.

Another one here with a 2nd hand bugaboo cam harassed - black and red which is fine for our team yellow although I have visions of being told that our screaming child matches it.... Hmm Will be onto your fb page to check out hubby soon! Very well done to you both for making it through!

Now yellow - I'm at a bit of a loss.... could be Dubai as our internet connection is sometimes so poor we can't access those.... I'm thinking China though.

Good to hear from you marathon - hope the wait for weds scan isn't too awful.

Had a super spicy thai beef salad for lunch which I was puffing and panting over but wombatjunior seemed to take it all in his stride- he must be made of tuff stuff!

Oh, and keep meaning to tell you that we went to K9 friends the other day (Dubai equivalent of Battersea Dogs Home) and came home with a beautiful new pooch who had been named Beauty but we have changed it to Lucy - she is indeed extremely pretty, has passed the kid test with a 7 year old, tolerates the cat and seems to have settled in really well seeing as she was at the kennels for a whole year. Will upload pic to my profile when I work out how to do that.

MarathonMama · 02/09/2011 14:41

Hello all! Just came on quickly to say oooh to harassed's Bugaboo. We got given a second hand one for DD and I bloody love it. What colour is it?

Sparkly hope you're feeling more sparky soon.

I can't stop as I've got to pick DD up from nursery but wanted to check in and say hello and wish everyone and their bumps well.

I'm 12 weeks today - eek! Scan on Weds.

harassedandherbug · 02/09/2011 14:14

Oh Sparkly you sound down in the dumps lovely!!! I'm not particularly blooming either. Still got ms (at 24 flipping weeks!), spd and also suffering from headaches. My Bugaboo is second hand, couldn't afford a brand new so have a nearly one for less than half the price!

I'm trying to get most of the baby bits before the end of this month, as we then I need to start thinking money-wise about Christmas with our ridiculously large family! As well as 4 kids I have 7 nieces/nephews and my grand-daughter......

We also use the spare/baby room for clothes dryers!

Sparklywine · 02/09/2011 13:59

Yellow, you're either in China or Hull? Grin
Sorry for being crap posting too, just plodding along really - the blooming stage has passed me by it seems, feeling headachey and nauseous again. Had to take yesterday off work, I was exhausted and had turned grey (think John Major eating peas) Monts kicking a lot more though which is lovely. Wombat, like you I'd be happier with some sort of pattern, might start logging when he's most active - apparently his sleep patterns are already set, so keen to see what I'm in for! I don't think Gina has any advice for establishing a pattern this early on though Grin

We put up the cot last night (in cotbed form) which freaked me out a bit to be honest, it suddenly seemed very real - we wouldn't normally do it so early but we're babysitting tonight so it made sense to get a nursery vibe underway. It looks cute but I'm panicking about lack of space now, and where to put the hideous metal clothes dryers now I can't shut them out of sight.
Righto, off to google the bugaboo cameleon and drool with envy! Hi to all x

harassedandherbug · 02/09/2011 12:04

Ahhh you're in Libya! I hear the weather's nice at this time of the year Hmm

There's a pic of dh post fight on my FB page. You can't see the black eye that he's now sporting Grin.

Ooooh verrrrry exciting news!! I've just bought myself a Bugaboo Cameleon .....I am ridiculously excited about picking it up on Sunday

yellowtomato · 02/09/2011 11:59

I'll give you a clue, lots of censorship, cannot access Facebook or YouTube! Anyone? I'm om iPad too wombat

Well done to mr harassed, I don't think I would have been able to watch!

harassedandherbug · 02/09/2011 09:55

Oh and dd is convinced her daddy won because he's got a trophy. Cute!!

harassedandherbug · 02/09/2011 09:55

Morning!!

Sorry, I'm so crap at posting at the moment! So tired in the evenings...... Had a few days off with dd but back in the office yesterday. That was an effort I can tell you! Although 2 day weeks rock Grin.

Wom lovely to have back and your pics were lovely!!

yellow have a good secret mission holiday! I've also got a bit of a funny tummy. There seems to be no middle road, it's either one way or the other. Tmi!!!

worm how are things??

wellie are you ok lovely??

mrsb where are you??

Oh and dh lost his boxing match! But not a complete loss, his trainer was sat with me and she couldn't call it as they were so evenly matched. I was so proud of him as it was his first proper fight at the grand old age of 36. Hi opponent was 22 and had several fights previously. It was a funny old day, the whole event was just a bit weird tbh! There was kick boxing too and so dh had to fight in a cage instead of a ring which was odd. I was sooo nervous. My heart was pounding waiting for his turn, and I thought I was going to be sick!! I filmed it on my phone, and all you can is me sounding like something out of TOWIE cheering him on Blush......

wombatinwaiting · 02/09/2011 07:45

Hey worm. Thanks for the welcome back. Smile 'twas indeed a lovely break. Good to hear all good though hot with you yellow - any clues as to where you are? Or does mi5 not allow?! How's everyone else? And yes please mrsb give us a wave - you have been in my thoughts a lot. Last 2 days of hol for us so we treated ourselves to an ipad2 yesterday that I'm typing in now so apols for strange punctuation and no highlighted names!

yellowtomato · 02/09/2011 04:33

Hello ladies

Having a fab holiday, phew it's hot here. Have booked a pregnancy massage for tomorrow, really looking forward to that. All this foreign food is playing havoc with my tum.

Be back next week and will catch up properly then.

Wormshuffler · 01/09/2011 08:21

Welcome home wombat I looked at your photo's they are great and you certainly visited some col places.
So it's very quiet around here........... hope everyone is ok..........
mrsb give us a wave there's a dear
Ant news on the test results wellie?

wombatinwaiting · 30/08/2011 13:36

Massive waves to everyone and a big helloooooooo! Back from hols on Sunday and just pottering about at home this week but can?t believe it?s taken me this long to log on and to hear so much great news!

MrsB - first off, huuuuuuuge congrats ? I will be another one rooting for the theory of starting the thread gets you the bfp so definitely your turn to start the next one wellie. So how are you feeling now mrsb? Are you quietly mentalling or loudly mentalling? As someone else said, we?re here to hold your hands every step of the way and the best advice (if you want it of course) is one day at a time. I?m pleased I had an 8 and a bit week scan this time (first m/c natural at around 7 weeks and second was mmc at around 11 with baby dated around 9) but I have to say it didn?t stop the mentalling that much?. Sending hugs and congrats ? please do keep us posted.

Also, big yay for emmabean heartbeat ? must be a quiet relief. Also great news on a good 20 week scan for you worm, well done for getting to the 10 week mark marathon and fx the next 2 weeks aren?t toooo painful and yay for team (probably) pink star.

Wanted to send big hugs to wellie - well done on you and DH keeping your SOH throughout the recent trials ? loved the sperm bank story Grin ? the boy done good! Everything tightly crossed that next month doesn?t produce the same amount of pressure. Someone once told me that a good tip is to go out for dinner and talk about sex a lot and then you both can?t wait to get back home and dtd ? hope this might help.

Dying to know how your DH got on with his bout harassed?. Hope all went well, not too stress for you and you have had a chance to have a ?discussion? since?.

Loving the sound of dd?s bedroom worm - she will be ultracool amongst her friends and hopefully some street cred points get to rub off on you too.

Well done on taking Tripoli yellow - quite an achievement for 17 weeks updiffed! Hope you are having lovely hols wherever you are.

Good to hear from you sparkly - I thought of you often while away as we have bought a number of educational wooden toys of the type you were referring to for Monty! I have also heard that the earlier you take them on planes the better. All being well, we will have a 6 hour flight from here to Italy in May so with wombatjunior being 5 months so might be able to offer some tips.

Had a truly lovely time away ? we had 3 nights in the Czech Republic, 1 in Austria and 4 in Germany, mostly around the Bavarian Alps which were just stunning ? so nice to get the fresh air and greenery that we desperately miss in the Dubai summer. Did some nice hill walking (bit breathless at times!) and for the first time in a long time, had an ice cream nearly every day of the holiday. Lots of yummy alpine fare to eat too ? loads of pork and potatoes! Wombatjunior seems to be ok although his movements seem sporadic cue mentalling from me and desperate wish he would get into some sort of more regular pattern?. Should be getting a tour of the maternity ward some time this week which will be interesting?.

Apple strudel all round for all!

Wormshuffler · 29/08/2011 16:17

Ahh wellie that sounds exactly like. What happened in the book inconceivable by Ben elton. At least It's done now hope you get upduffed before the results come back. It's your turn next .
I am busy turning dd bedroom into a vamp/gothic cave. Apparently gingham pink is too babyish for a 12 year old so we have just been out to fetch purple satiny curtains and purple duvet set. It is looking suitably like Taylor launtner himself would fit in on person not just on the posters I have just Hung .
Hope you are all well

wellieboots · 29/08/2011 11:36

Hi ladies,

just checking in with my weekend update and funny story, hope everyone is having a fantastic holiday weekend Grin

Well, as you know, DH had to do his SA on Saturday, bit stressy performing to a timetable and all that so it was a bit of a nightmare Blush - they prefer you to do it at home as less stressful but you need an appointment time and it must be delivered within an hour, so it's still stressful really!!

So anyway, DH leaves the house with his jar, already 5 mins past his appointment time (about 10-15 mins drive to the clinic) and very stressed at the idea that because he's missed his slot, they might make him make another appt! So when he gets parked, he runs along the road, with the jar (in a clear plastic bag! :o), into the building up in the lift, and up to the reception, runs out of breath up to the reception desk, plonking his jar on the counter and giving his name! whereupon the embarrassed receptionist says - would you like to put that in your pocket and keep it warm while I take your details!!! OOOPS - Blush

Poor darling was so stressed he didn't even think - it did help us relax a bit though, after all the tension, when he came home and told me and I couldn't stop laughing!!

Star82 · 28/08/2011 00:14

Do it all in one go sparkly. we've done the flight to Florida every year since DD was 9 months and to be honest, they're easier the younger they are in my experience. You'll get a sky cot or book another seat if funds allow. We're considering Australia next year when the baby will be around 3 months or so.....that's bonkers!!!

Good news on the scan Worm. Very glad all well.

Have a great holiday yellow. Myself, the kids and DMinL are off on our jollies tomorrow too. A week in Cyprus :).

Hope everyone else well, x

yellowtomato · 26/08/2011 22:01

Hurrah, great news worm

Jolly hot where I'm going, I'll soon have it all sorted. Will try to dial in via satellite phone. Grin
