It's always a bit embarrassing to pop in every few months to say hi, but I clearly have no shame as I'm back again.

It's lovely to hear about so many of you with your growing bumps :) , how exciting!

MrsB I'm so delighted to hear your news and in a teeny way may I feel I contributed with the cbfm?!! I'm sorry that you're feeling so grotty. How many weeks are you now?

I have some happy news too, our first ivf cycle worked and I'm now 12+3! I wanted to pop in to share the news as so many of you were so supportive during all of our mcs last year. I'm not brave enough to join a due date thread this time so I might lurk here again if you'll have me?

Wormshuffler · 22/09/2011 03:00

Look at the time girls. Yes I'm up and have been awake since 1235 with a hurty fanny sore pelvis :( have just taken some paracetamol hopefully I can get back to sleep. Have got schools to look around for ds so really need it to ease.
yellow I second the advise from sparkly about pillows around you to support I ended up sleeping on sofa with dd as I could lean against the back.
No fun mucky story I'm afraid just moans from me .
Where is wombat ?

Sparklywine · 21/09/2011 17:14

Hiya Yellow, I've been lurking but nothing much to say, however as I am in sharing mood, and you've asked so politely about vaginal moistness, how could I resist? Grin Bit moist, yes. Especially after my recurring dreams about Chris Evans Blush Not just rude-moistness though, sometimes almost like I am almost about to wet myself, and despite my exceptionally slack pelvic floor that is not the case. There's a lot of fluid up there though, so I guess some leaks out occasionally. There was a thread a couple of days ago about someone worried her waters had gone early, but she was further gone (30-something weeks) and it was more of a gush. A few ladies did come on to say they had fluid trickling down their legs in the early morning on getting out of bed, and it was not need-a-wee related. Let us consider it another 'normal' symptom, that would normally panic us (the struggling for breath being another corker).
I hope that helps and reassures!
I've got an Asda V-shaped pillow I am using in bed now, more to cuddle into as my bump is not that big and though I've tried hefting it onto the pillow it's not quite large enough to stay put. Sexy huh?! You could try that, or a normal pillow, propped against one side of your back so you're not entirely on your back but nor completely on your side. Pillowage seems to be the answer but the ideal combo is quite elusive.
There's gotta be a book out of these gems! Grin
Right, off home for sausage, mash and beans, been excited all day!
Love to all x

yellowtomato · 21/09/2011 12:59

ok, where is everyone? Are you all having a party somewhere?

I just had a lovely cottage pie for lunch but it was v big and I'm now feeling uncomfortably bloated.

I've also been having a bit of trouble this week getting comfy in bed. Can't seem to lie on my side as it puts too much pressure on my hip...any tips?

Also, is anyone else very......wet down there? I'll have to wear panty liners....

Come on ladies, someone must have some news or a mucky story or something!

yellowtomato · 19/09/2011 19:56

wow manamana congratulations! Such lovely news...

sparkly you keep mentioning those aeros and that means I have to eat them too. I also am very keen on mint choc chip ice cream right now....nom nom nom. Apparently the little one has a slightly fatter than normal tummy, so def takes after her Mum! I've got some little socks and the in-laws sent me a white cardigan and hat....very cute. I still haven't done any pelvic floor exercises despite the scary course last week...must try harder.

worm sorry you've done yourself a mischief with all the gardening....I'm feeling the opposite of frisky right now. I am feeling quite a lot of movement but only on the inside you can't feel it from the outside yet. And she was jumping round like a maniac today, the sonographer said it was technically a very difficult scan.

Where is wombat?

Wormshuffler · 19/09/2011 17:35

Aww [goosebumpy emocion] congratulations to our firt graduate Manamana hope the soreness fades quickly and try not to do too much!!

Congrats on the girl yellow is it triplets? Wink and now the fun begins starting to shop! do you feel her move much yet?

sparkly I love your posts you are so funny Grin sounds as though the nesting is in full swing (in a albeit in a supervisory capacity!)

harrased so is the boss still being as arse? just a word of caution regarding getting signed off work, there is a certain time afterwhich if you take sick leave due to pregnancy related stuff they can force you to start your materninty leave............. How is the SPD?

Thanks for the wave wellie

Waves to star know you are alive as I saw on facebook, :) hope all is well? the footy season has started so you will be busy shopping with the Redknaps and sorting out the photo shoot for Hello.......

So I spent the back end of last week trying not to "spread my legs" (bloody hard I'll tell you as I am feeling particuly frisky Blush at the moment and the sore fanjo had cleared up by saturday. Then I made the mistake of doing a load of gardening yesterday and now it feels like I have been kicked in the fanny.............. and I am walking a bit like John Wayne.......
In nice news I am feeling loads of movement and am sending back the hired doppler at the end of this month.

Sorry if I missed anyone

Sparklywine · 19/09/2011 17:04

manamana, aw, congratulations on your beautiful baby girl, so pleased for you I am suitably spurred and a little bit impatient for myself now! Smile

manamana · 19/09/2011 16:51

Hello ladies, just wanted to come and let you know that I've had my baby! Just been having a quickcatch-up with everyone's news and hope that my new graduate status will Spurr everyone on through the horrible metalling phases.
Anyway, it's a girl! Elective cs so all v civilised but had forgotten how tricky/painful it is to move for the next couple of days, feeling ok now a week later and just waiting to see how my spd is once cs recovery is over, took a while last time together back to normal. She is v gorgeous, and both ds are smitten with her. Bit knackered through lack of sleep/lots of visitors but just wanted to share and say hi. Take care all, good luck with everything - harassed, definitely get signed off x

Sparklywine · 19/09/2011 16:21

It's a girl you say Yellow? Grin Congratulations!!! A little M in the making, aww. Glad all went well, it is such a relief and you can really move forward postively now - you've come a long way!

Bought anything gender-neutral yet? Grin I bought a blue blanket at the weekend, nest nest.
Haven't done any pelvic exercises, laziness will be my incontinent downfall. I'll have a squeeze now. Have polished off another family-bar of Aero I found lurking in my desk though, I'm sure it doesn't count if it just melts in the mouth. Everyone says I haven't put on any weight, so I've pretty much taken it as carte blanche to gorge, it doesn't take much encouragement! The Christmas cake is all done and tinned up ready for the festive season, the house smelt lovely and spicy. Getting excited now!

yellowtomato · 19/09/2011 14:29

Hello ladies

Had my scan this morning......all good.....and it's a.........GIRL! I'm very excited and relieved that all is well. Makes it feel more real now. :)

Have you been doing your pelvic floor exercises sparkly? How did the Xmas cake making go?

harassed how did it go at the doctors, did you get signed off? For what it's worth it sounds like you company/boss haven't been treating you well and so don't really deserve your loyalty. I think it's important that you look after yourself right now.

hello wellie good to hear from you

How is everyone else today? How is the sex feeling worm, hope it's not developed into anything more painful.....

Sparklywine · 17/09/2011 12:33

Wellie, we love you too!
Yellow, I creased up laughing yesterday and a little bit of wee came out Blush

Sparklywine · 17/09/2011 12:32

Yoohoo, I am here! Missed you ladies, been off on holiday this week and it's been really busy with one thing and another. Got into my head that the kitchen needed decorating, and a new sink and taps plumbing in, so poor dh has not had a moments rest. We're taking it easy today, and making our Christmas cake, so soon the revamped (but still quite grotty) kitchen will smell delicious! You are all welcome round to lick the bowl.
Oooh, I had salmon and cream cheese bagel the other day for lunch with dsis, followed by a chocolate orange brownie with pecans. Hom. Been eating like a peeeg, dsis says I will need to eat lots of fattie foods whilst bf'ing so just making sure I know what to do! Grin
Who said they feel like they've had loads of sex? Was it you Wormy? Grin I've read about vulval varicose veins, and speaking to my Dr friend, turns out she had them with her pregnancies. Said she felt 'rather full' down below. Second the caution in having a look! In the spirit of good honest sharing (and why we will never meet! Grin) I feel, possibly tmi, that I don't smell as fragrant as I used to thereabouts, so that aspect of sex is out for the time being. Positions are becoming an issue, even on all fours I feel like a pendulous milking cow! Er, anyway, don't know how we got onto this.......
Dsis was telling me about a swaddling blanket Jojomamabebe do that has velcro fasteners at the top, so you can straight-jacket the little wriggler in. Said she wished they were around in her day (she is all of 34 but is now well seasoned in all matters child-wise) - I'm going to check them out, lack of sleep is still my biggest concern.

Right, off for a cappuccino in the village now. Love the pet-sitting idea by the way. We use Cossett and Walker (think that was the name), check out the site for tips to steal! It's £10 a day but if you love the pets, and leave a glowing report afterwards on how adorable they all were, you have got customers for life! You don't even have to take cats for a walk, it's taking the piss really but funny what people will pay for. Even in a recession, people don't scrimp on pets or (further down priority list Grin) kids apparently, so these are your niche areas.

Love to all, sorry to forget everyone's questions and comments and names, my brain is mush, locked myself out of the house the other day which is most unlike me, it's downhill from here. La la laaa.......x
Ooh, Harassed, your boss is an arse, and you owe them nothing. The fact you are considering staying to help them out of a hole says volumes about you, it is excellent karma to store up. However, if you have enough good karma tucked away, tell them to naff off, put your feet up and stick on 'Escape the the country' with a brew and a hobnob x

harassedandherbug · 16/09/2011 09:16

wellie!! There you are. Are you ok lovely?? I worry that we're all babies/preg here........ Do tell us to shut up.

yellow I'm emotional and on the verge of tears pretty much constantly! Do do your pelvic floor exercises, it's worth it. I've always done mine religiously and have no problems at all. Yet!

Oh god I've forgotten already!!! Ummm.....

worm sounds like a touch of spd to me.

wombat the tuning forks were pretty damn good! I had my first pain free night for aaages on Tueday, but then ruined it by over-doing things on Wednesday. Am now sleep deprived and exhausted.....

I'm after a bit of advice on work. I've got gp on Monday, then consultant on the 27th and mw on 28th. I was going to beg gp to sign me off work, but my assistant is off next week and it would land work in deep doo-doo. But they've been bloody awful to me (will be taking legal advice it's that bad), so why am I feeling guilty?! WWYD??

Sorry to everyone I've not name-checked..... I'm so blooming tired!

wellieboots · 15/09/2011 23:38

Wave!!! I'm alive, just having a bit of an mn rest, but I do lurk and I keep up with you on fb as well..I still love you!

yellowtomato · 15/09/2011 21:44

Evening all

wombat wow 30 weeks, that's fab. So exciting! Glad you enjoyed aquazumba, sounds fun. Is that true about the bits downstairs . I thought the swelling was just after giving birth?

worm that does sound odd, glad you're getting checked out, do you really not see a midwife until 28 weeks?

My complaint is that I'm feeling all jittery and tearful tonight and have no idea why. I've had a busy week so maybe just tired?

Yoga was good on tues but I felt v sick by the time I got home, a very long day. It was lots of breathing and stretching, relaxing. I am changing my day to wed so I won't have to do acu in the morning and yoga in the eve.

I'm off to bed, hopefully I'll feel more cheerful tomorrow.

wombatinwaiting · 15/09/2011 10:35

He he worm - only you or mrsb could have compared that feeling to a marathon sex session! (are you sure you haven't?! Grin ) To take you more seriously, I think there's a lot going on down there. I have read on some pg threads that our bits can turn almost purple and v swollen with the amount of extra blood that's flowing around there - do you think it could be that. They do say NOT to try and look at it in a mirror - I may be tempted in a couple of weeks out of sheer curiosity Blush

Saw your thing about the tuning forks on fb harassed - did they do the trick with the spd? I'm intrigued!

Haven't heard from marathon, emma or star in a wee while either - hope all is well with you and the mentalling is not too severe for our early stagers....

nurse and maramara must be due any second too. Very keen to hear from you if you're out there.....

I'm sure sparkly is around - just busy whipping up something delicious for us!

Cannot believe I am 30 weeks today - the last 10 have absolutely flown by. Went back to aquazumba this morning which was much better and more fun than last week's as at least had a rough idea of what I should be doing - still feel a bit of a tit doing some of the moves though which are clearly designed for young, lithe bodies not aging whale-like ones!

Wormshuffler · 14/09/2011 17:32

Hello Ladies We are still here ! We are the hardcore ones!!

Sparkly hasn't been seen around these parts for ages.................
Glad wombat junior made an appearance for you, the little tinker........

Yellow I have many close friends with children and non of them have ever said anything about incontinence issues, so I think there was bit of scaremongering going on from Mrs Pelvicfloor!

Harassed are you feeling any better? has the babies (naughty) shift in position eased the SPD any?

So here is a TMI complaint...............I feel weird down below, the only way I can describe it is ,it feels like I have had a marathon sex sesh (which I havn't)! Never had it with last 2 PG's what do you reckon girls?
As a third times I am not officially supposed to see anyone now until 28 weeks, however as a neurotic beast I have made an appointment at next weeks midwife clinic (hope she doesnt chuck me out!)

wellie how are you? give us just a wave if you don't feel like posting.......

wombatinwaiting · 14/09/2011 10:36

Yes where is everyone? - tis like a ghost town around here these days....

Shame about the pelvic floor thing yellow but I supposed a good thing it scared you into squeezing! Yoga is fab and I'm sure all the other ladies will be lovely.

Took myself off to the midwife yesterday afternoon as wombatjunior was being extreeeemely naughty and went very, very quiet overnight and all during the day..... Didn't help that DH is currently away in Delhi..... typically as soon as I lay down on her couch, I felt a kick. She put the hb and contractions trace on and all was perfect and they give you a clicker to count the movements too and he managed a very impressive 25 in 20 minutes! Clearly he just wanted a bit of attention! Midwife was fantastically reassuring and said to come back every day if I felt the need to and that sometimes tensing up about it can stop you relaxing and focusing on the movements properly which may explain why as soon as I saw the heartbeat, the real kicking started - I think I must have relaxed completely at that point. Will try to remember in future to relax more before mentalling!

yellowtomato · 13/09/2011 16:42

Phew, I got there in the end. Now I just have to action all the things requiring action that I found. It's never ending this work stuff.

I went to the pelvic floor thing at the hospital this afternoon. It was a bit disappointing, only about 45 mins and she more or less did read from a sheet. But it did scare me a lot, she said 7 out of 10 pg get incontinence of one form or another and talked a lot about tears and yukky stuff like that. Made me want to get on with some pelvic floor exercises immediately....altoghether now.....and squeeeeeeeze!

On the bus today someone had mcdonalds chips......I really want some now....and ice cream. But i haven't got either.....boo!

harassed did you manage to see the dr and get signed off?

sparkly how you doing? Feeling any better? What have you been scoffing today? Make me drool...... :)

Going to pg yoga tonight, feel a bit nervous, hopefully everyone will be friendly. I always find it a bit tough to go somewhere for the first time but I'm really hoping that I'll enjoy it. Will mean a fairly late night (well 10pm is late nowadays!)

How is everyone? And more to the point where is everyone?

wombatinwaiting · 12/09/2011 11:21

x-post harassed - big phew! Naughty bug making you worried like that...... I don't have a doppler (yet!) but would it help you if you did? (or does DH not want to....?) Hope you can get signed off for a bit- your spd sounds no fun at all.... sorry to hear you've been treated so badly too. In these days of PC-ness I'm amazed they can get away with it. Curious to know about your own business.....

wombatinwaiting · 12/09/2011 11:15

Oh harassed - really thinking of you. Keep us posted on what the birth centre say - big hugs to you and bug x

What an odd start to work yellow - no fun at all Sad. A friend of mine swears by deleting all emails after a holiday as he figures that if it's urgent, they will email again! Would love to try that one day but just don't have the nerve! The sensible wombat says start with the hardest ones..... the fun wombat says stay on mn Grin

harassedandherbug · 12/09/2011 11:14

yellow I'd whizz through them quickly and delete the obvious junk....that'll shorten the amount a bit!

harassedandherbug · 12/09/2011 11:13

Panic over thank goodness. It appears Bug has manoeveured himself round behind the placenta so lots of movements are masked. His hb is perfect. Hugely relieved..... I wish I could calm down a bit more. I feel more worried now than I did prior to 12 wks I think!

worm we're also having a cut price baby! So far everything is second hand or a hand me down. Poor baby lol. I will buy him new mattresses for pram, moses basket and cot, and also a new car seat. I'd only use 2nd hand if I knew where it came from.

emma fab news!!!

mrsb still can't get on here! She's feeling really rough, and has been off work for the last couple of weeks. She's struggling to eat and drink, but they won't give her any meds as she's not actually being ill! She's away soon, then scan is a couple of weeks after that.
