Vjay you make me Grin so much and cupcake you too with your hair sorting Smile

louey - I think you are doing utterly brilliant to get this far with BF and looking after your boys. TBH when I look back on my BF months last time around I wish I'd switched to bottle months earlier and enjoyed the calmness and preditability they bring over the fretting/colicky/multiple night feeds that dominated my mat leave..

barbie - sending every sticky thought for tomorrow x

Have the mother of all post-holiday ironing piles to do tonight but will log on tomorrow evening for mother of all catch ups.

p.s. read hoping's email just now and it was so Smile to hear they are movning along

p.p.s. I miss mermaid too Sad

BlueMoon1981 · 12/07/2011 20:31

cupcake thank you for sending me hopings email, everything makes me cry atm and that was no exception, but I am so happy she has found some peace. Its something that df and I have discussed should we not be able to have our own.

I am ok, thanks to everyone for asking, just keeping a low profile and weebling the time away til our appointment on 29th July. I'm not very good company at the moment, but I'm checking up on you all daily :)

Neeko · 12/07/2011 20:16

Hi all. Having a great holiday but rotten at posting from my phone. Wanted you to know i'm following all your news and thinking of you x

cupcakefairy · 12/07/2011 19:59

ps- moon I'll PM you her message

cupcakefairy · 12/07/2011 19:59

Gah, I wished mrbarbie happy birthday and forgot our very own bq- sorry!! Hope you're having lovely day.

louey sorry bf still a struggle :( you have done amazingly well to keep up so far though- expressing and feeding is a nightmare with just one, let alone twins to watch out for too. And you poor thing being kept up all night- I remember after being up 2 hours at night when ds was tiny that falling back into bed when they're fiiiinally asleep is just a feeling like no other...so to then be woken again :( hope you're not feeling too exhausted. Holiday sounds lush. 5.5 weeks til we head to France and I'm hoping it'll be an actual holiday for me as all my family will be there (11 of us in total) to 'help' with Jude...we'll see if that actually happens!!!

barbie thinking of you lots for scan tomorrow xxx

How lovely was it to hear news from hopingalways by email!

loueytb3 · 12/07/2011 17:47

Happy Birthday to our lovely BQ and mrbarbie

BQ your post made me well up too, you sound really happy. I am Shock that your DH hasn't been able to have any time off. It must be really hard coping on your own after a cs - hope you are recovering ok. LOVE the name Luca, my two have a little friend called Luca and he is a lovely boy.

curly I hate teething, hope your night wasn't as bad as you feared. I used to dose up with calpol on really bad nights...

vjaywhoisharrypotterobsessed [hgrin] hope the ILs aren't driving you too mad. A week is a long time...

cupcake big claps to J for graduating to toddlerdom Smile Hope your mum recovers soon, doesn't sound nice at all. Breast feeding still a nightmare, on the verge of giving up (again). It seems to be hurting again even with the nipple shields. I've been expressing feeds today and will try bf again tomorrow but there is a limit to how long I can carry on like this. Had a rough night anyway because I had not long got back to bed after feeding O when Luke woke me up because he had wet the bed. DH was about to get up and sort him out when I did anyway because I couldn't get back to sleep. I went back to bed this morning for an hour but O was making so much noise I found it really hard to get back to sleep Hmm

4ever can't believe your MIL was so insensitive, but I'm glad it worked out in the end. Second pregnancies are very different when you have a little one to look after. You realise that all the advice about taking it easy, no lifting etc is totally unrealistic. Don't worry about how much you are doing, it won't have any bearing on this little bean.

barbie hope you are having a nice day with DH today and not feeling too rubbish and worrying about tomorrow's scan. You won't need an ERPC because you will have a little active baby in there. Your Thailand holiday sounds just wonderful, mine is much less exotic. We booked a villa in Lanzarote at the end of October. Same owners as last time (English) and they are providing a bouncy chair and steriliser for Oscar as well as a cot. Hopefully it won't be too stressful as we know where we are going. Anything to get a bit of sun. It also gives me a goal on the weight loss front. How is your mum doing??

buddha fabulous news about the sleeping, now you know he can do it and it isn't a blip. Hope you are starting to feel more rested now.

Waves to moon how are you doing?

Got to go, nearly time to pick the boys up.

hello there chuffy Vjay :) I'm preparing myself for another night of wakeups every half hour teething so I'm going to run to bed but just wanted to give massive hugs to our weeblers barbie and 4ever. I'll be lurking for news on Thursday barbie but as moon always says, your bean doesn't need a scan :)

I'm welling up at bqs lovely new mum post. I'm so happy that it has finally happened for you, Luca sounds so gorgeous :)

Quick wave too to my lovely moon. How are you doing lovely?

Big hugs and hairstrokes to all who need them. Back soon for a proper catchup but I am thinking of you all xxx

Aw jude, what a cutie, walking already :)

VJaytheVeela · 11/07/2011 20:18

What the chuff happened to my smiles???

Big motherly hug for 4ever and barbie now positive thoughts ladies xxx

Bugger forgot to apparate in, oh well now I really must go Grin

VJaytheVeela · 11/07/2011 20:07

bq I just love the name Luca [hsmile] and well done you are doing a fabulous job [hsmile]

Gotta dash before family realise I am on the iPod mumsnetting [hgrin]

cupcakefairy · 11/07/2011 19:29

Awww bq so lovely to see you drop by! And no wonder you have been quiet lady being on your own since the birth ShockShock and with c-section recovery too, can't be easy you poor love, massive kudos to you on getting through that. You sound so happy though and I LOVE the name Luca! fab choice! Thanks for checking in, and with some very wise words too.

barbie and 4ever I'll have no more talk of worst-case-scenarios young ladies!! That neeko is a wise one, you should definitely take heed of her words and have faith! And is it curly who always says bean doesn't need the scan... 4ever you and baby will be fine without weekly scans. I'm sure the time will whizz by this time too with S to look after! Do you think you'll find out the flavour this time round? (both of you?)

qa we haven't heard from you in a while are you ok lovely? You must be nearing third trimester by now (or way into it? I am useless and totally lose track!) Hope you're ok.

louey I saw your other topic couple of weeks ago about feeding, hope you've been able to get some useful advice from ladies who've been there. How are you getting on now?

BlueMoon1981 · 11/07/2011 19:07

bq i got tears in my eyes reading your post, you sound so happy and you deserve it so much. Luca is a lovely name :)

bakingqueen · 11/07/2011 16:02

Just a quick hello from me still here lurking not had chance to post since baby born its all just been a mad blur of feeding sleepless nights and nappies since he was born but I would not change it for anything never realised how much one little person could change my life. He is called luca will post his birth story when I get chance but suffice to say he is absolutely gorgeous he has a lovely new baby smell which I never got when people said that before he was born but now I do. Its been a hard few weeks after the section as dh not been able to take any time off work since ds born so been a 24 / 7 slog for me but he is so worth it.

I hope I have not offended anyone with my gushing I know how it feels to be in the small pants bench and this time last year I never thought I would have a baby and look at me now. Hope is there for all of us and I have faith one day everyone will get the babies they so deserve.

Big hand holding to 4ever and barbie and happy birthday to mrbarbie he has the best birthday in the year as it is mine too tomorrow no plans just me and ds how could I ask for more Smile

4everhopeful · 11/07/2011 14:29

Oh barbieweeble what we like eh? Confused Id thought about whether id go for an erpc this time round if the last scan was bad too.. Confused

You know what neeko always said to me though? 'Believe in your bean' and it sort of made me feel guilty for not having faith, so although its hard to dare to believe, and that age old 'be positive' that people chuck around so freely, feeling like we do have a duty to our beans to believe in them did used to help.. Of course the walking into that scan room and laying on your back unable to even breath for that eternity while you wait for the sonographer to speak, thats a different story Hmm

For now focus on DH birthday (Happy Birthday Mrbarbie Grin)

barbie1 · 11/07/2011 13:48

4ever i got it wrong, my scan isnt tomorrow Blush its dh birthday tomorrow so i forgot that i moved it in case it was bad news Hmm So its 3.15pm on wednesday which givse me thursday to have a D and c if needed, not that im constantly thinking the worst or anything Hmm

Back later, we are making glitter cards for Daddy, its a bloody mess!!!!

4everhopeful · 11/07/2011 13:16

Dashing in quickish, already tx i know, but massive woop woop to cupcakes Jude for walking! Grin Super proud mummy moment, amazing you got it on film! Your poor mum though that sounds very painful and intensive, hope she has a speedy recovery..

Barbiebusyweeble busy is good, busy means distraction, however you are bound to be wobbly about tomorrows scan, think i already asked but what uk time is it? Offering a hand to squeeze, will be around all day tomorrow too, sure you will be fine, hope that cyst has gone/shrunk as well.. You have one lovely DH there hon, Chanel handbag just to cheer you up!? Shock Grin Also hope your mum is doing better, you will be back to give her some tlc yourself soon enough now.. Your holiday plans sound blissful btw, ours feels an age away in sept..

Vjaypotter dont disaporate for too long! Hope your having a good time with your in laws!

Louey hows Oscar coming along? Hope it stayed sunny for you yesterday!

We had a nice family bbq to celebrate our anniversary yest and luckily the rain stayed away, and after being quite stressed and upset that MIL was a bit off about Dnephew not comin, she was extra nice, as if to compensate i think! Hmm Lovely to see Summer running round having fun with her cousins, she thinks shes such a big girl trying to play football with them and pushing her pushchair round with her little cousin, as well as insisting on drinking out of plastic party cups, and soaking herself in the process Grin she is so funny and strongwilled Grin

Only thing is it was all a bit strenuous and hectic and I cant help but wobble that with Summers preg i barely left the sofa for the first 12wks, obviously with a 13m to look after its not possible, but do wish i could wrap myself up in cotton wool a bit more, worrying that Iv had too much stress already what with scan and treatment dramas, then the whole MIL drama too.. Confused Also, iv always been used to weekly scans in every preg, to not be goin back til the 26th is an age away! Confused

cupcakefairy · 10/07/2011 18:43

ShockShock oh my life barbie you should get down in the dumps more often!!! GrinGrin and also Envy you lucky thing.

Your poor mum though :( hope she improves fast. Lovely that you're flying out soon so you can see her. mine is back home now but not doing too good bless her as they took bone from her hip to fill the gap in her wrist (which she broke last year and they botched the surgery Angry)

Jude has been toddling around loads today, walked the whole length of our lounge, and walked off on his own for ages at church this morning Grin so proud.

Vjay hope the in-laws visit goes well. I so wish I could disapparate! Haha

Everyone been enjoying a sunny weekend? monkey how are you lovely? Think of you lots. So wish I could make it to London in Aug...maybe around autumn/Christmas time if you're planning a visit then.

barbie1 · 10/07/2011 16:46

Hi girls, so for being absent yet again Hmm tis somewhat becoming a regular occurrence. I am just so tired/ busy/ sick/ out and about...delete where appropriate.

Least it makes me not think of tuesday scan so much, im currently running around trying to sort out dh birthday for tuesday, packing for our flight home on friday, being a support network for the family as my poor mum is still in hospital Shock loads of problems and is on oxygen etc etc. My dad calls regularly to ask me for ideas to take to the hospital to cheer her up, bless him.

We are also trying to find a holiday for october, we haven't had a proper holiday for ages...we just want to go somewhere and relax. Looks like thailand at the moment, in a beautiful lagoon villa which include 2 beauty treatments per day, pure bliss! louey where did you book for?

cupcake aw bless your little Jude, i wish i had D first steps on videa Envy

4ever how are you feeling my darling?

I have so much more to say but its time i called my mum...will try to post later...

Oh and to cheer me up dh bought me a chanel 2.55!!!! Shock

Vjay Just for you here's a [hgrin] and a [hsmile]

cupcakefairy · 08/07/2011 19:48

buddha YES to sleep! Even if you get more disturbed nights in the future, knowing he can do a stretch like that always gives you hope it will come back again! Well done E :) Hope that's made you feel much stronger :)

4ever no question about it, definitely right that your dn should stay away! hope you're not in too much trouble over it!!

Vjay you are hilarious. I'm trying to come up with my own HP themed name now... Gutted I'm not gonna get to see it for weeks yet!! Have you seen all the pics in t'paper of Emma Watson crying her eyes out at the premiere bless her!

louey your boys are gorgeous!! Oscar is such a tiny wee thing! You must be so proud. Thanks for putting them up :)

Well ladies Jude has taken his first steps!! He did it yesterday and I managed to catch it on camera...he'd just been taking 2 or 3 steps until then so I filmed him and enticed him over with the house phone which he's obsessed with playing with and he walked 7 or 8 steps towards me! It was amazing Grin He's done it a few more times today so hopefully he'll grow in confidence and be toddling about by the time we go to France in 6 weeks :)

Right, Friday night, chips and a movie with my dh. Cheers all Wine

VJaytheVeela · 08/07/2011 19:12

'tis Harry Potter fever out there [hgrin]

BuddhaBelly · 08/07/2011 12:08

4ever You are talking to the woman who hid in a glass cubicle for 3 months when swine flu was at it's worse!!! So I agree with you whole heartedly, it's just not worth the risk!!
Barbie How's the chillaxing going? Wink Your poor Mum has a little while until her ordeal ends bless her, hope she recovers very soon. Give Dolly an extra squeeze from us, poorly girl Sad
Vjay I've promised DH I'll take him to the cinema to see the last HP, not a huge fan but he is a massive one so thought I'd treat him for the last one (he's been on his own before Shock)

Just realised it's lunchtime so have to dash, but will just whisper a few words 4 nights sleeping through in a row Smile
