Well I fell off another bus and rather than wait around for the next one I thought I would get another going myself. So have stocked it up with cake, Wine - for the first 2 weeks and Brew - for the 2ww'ers :)

Hoping it will be a lucky bus for lots of us - and I might have a birthday baby :)

Liliana (31) ttc#1 ucl 28 af due 26th March

(I have left out the CD as it is never up to date and all we really want to know is when are people testing!)

morning all,

Not sure if i can be on this bus now, i am having to take antibiotics for an ear infection which says you shouldnt take if trying to get pregnant so i guess this week is off limits for swi and as i am not sure of my cycles as only had one since coming off the pill i dont know when i am ovulating Sad!!

Hope everyone else is feeling optamistic!!! Smile

Hey all,
I'm finally back online after 2 weeks of internet trouble!!
According to my calculations I should be ovulating about now. I did a test yeatserday and today and got faint test line, much fainter than control line, but I think that is detecting a coming surge as an earlier test gave no test line at all.
As for the 'how many tests?' debate. I intend to test every day until I get a negative, which should be around Monday by my reckoning.
Due to lack of internet I have not managed to buy CB from amazon so I'm on Tesco cheapies this month.
As I haven't been on for a while can anyone update me - have we had any BFPs?

Levana · 17/06/2011 13:57

I know on the instructions on the OPK they say stop on the first positive, i've always continued until I get a negative just in case I have a weird cycle and the surge goes on for a long time.

This has not ever happened so I might be being paranoid but I like to know that i've ovulated. Though I think the only cast iron way to tell you've ov'd is to chart and take your temperature as you need to see the rise in temp.

My DP works away so I can't just dtd every other day though. If you can then if you start from the positive then you should be ok but to be super sure use OPK's and chart at the same time and you will be as sure as you can ever be that you did it at the right time.

Pixiepops · 17/06/2011 13:50

incliuding? {hmm]

pommedechocolat · 17/06/2011 13:50

I had + 12 and 13 and will do another one later today (14) to see. On the box it says to stop once you have a + but I am far too curious - I want to know at which BIT of the surge I caught it!

Pixiepops · 17/06/2011 13:46

I had positive OPKs on cd14 & 15 this month, I did do another just to see the following day, but there was nothing. Dtd every day leading upto & incliuding the positive days, just hope it did the trick!

Readynow · 17/06/2011 12:30

Oh am worried now as I have always stopped testing with OPKs as soon as I got my +. I didn't think to test again the next day to see whether it was still showing a +! Does everyone else test until they stop getting a +?

pommedechocolat · 17/06/2011 12:16

Oo that's interesting. But getting more than one day +ve on opk confuses me on this. So dtd cd11 and opk +ve 12 I felt optimistic. opk + again on cd13 and no dtd until cd14 made me think it was a bust this cycle. Now vacillating wildly.
Argh. Hate this!

Levana · 17/06/2011 12:12

Good luck mrsshears , I have only every got 2 days +OPKs before and then I think I ovulate really quickly after the 2nd one. I think on that night if I test in the morning of the second day, which sort of makes sense if ovulation is 12 - 48 hrs after a +.

I think everyone probably knows this but you can get the 'smiley face' OPKs from amazon for about £11.50 instead of the £22 you pay in Boots. I have just discovered this !!! I wish I could use the really cheap amazon ones but they don't seem to work for me?

mrsshears · 17/06/2011 12:09

thanks for the link,interesting reading.
why does it have to be so tricky!fingers crossed its our monthSmile

mrsshears · 17/06/2011 12:06

Thanks levana,i only started using sticks last month but i'm sure i had 2 days so i will go for tonight rather than saturday.

Levana · 17/06/2011 12:03

I have been obsessing reading about the best days to conceive and this link gives some stats here on what days are best. Basically the 2 days before have a 26-28% chance and the day of ov only 5%.

Levana · 17/06/2011 11:57

Do you ususally get a + two days in a row mrsshears or 3 days. If two days I'd definitly go for it tonight as it's often 36hrs or less before ov happens so tomorrow night could be too late!

mrsshears · 17/06/2011 11:51

hi everyone,ppsstt.... vegasmum told me to tell you she has given her seat up for meWink
hope everyone is well and not obsessing too muchSmile cd 18 today and had a + yesterday and today, dtd last night but do you think we should go for tonight too or saturday instead to give ourselves the best chance?

Levana · 17/06/2011 11:37

I have had ovulation sickness for the first time this month!

Didn't even know that was possible but it's been really quite strong - definitly there not one of those dubious sympton spotting 'symptons' I think I have sometimes.

This whole cycle this month has been weird though. Never got an positive OPK though all the signs of ovulation for about a week. So I don't know, I am probably not even in the running for this month Sad.

stuffthenonsense · 17/06/2011 10:31

Cadbury's dairy milk hmmmm might just have to go shopping! (Any excuse for chocolate)

pommedechocolat · 17/06/2011 09:38

ooo stuffthenonsense I get almost PMS like - really bitchy. I also get a big spot (chin or forehead) and cramps for a day or so. Crave sweet stodgy things too.
I have also had the odd feeling of nausea but find that some cadburys dairy milk normally settles it back down :)

HorseyGirl1 · 17/06/2011 09:36

Here it is MyGoldenNotebook - right next to the Danish Blue and Feta and grapes!

stuffthenonsense · 17/06/2011 09:23

Hmmm, yesterday I had waves of nausea until after lunch, today, nearly threw up.
Ovulation sickness perhaps???
Can't possibly be morning sickness at CD11 could it????
And thanks DH for telling me I am currently being grumpy and impossible :(

Does anyone else get odd symptoms around OV?

MyGoldenNotebook · 16/06/2011 22:22

PS Horseygirl I will definitey scoff a cracker or two! Do you have any brie in your soft cheese collection?

MyGoldenNotebook · 16/06/2011 22:20

I'm out ladies. AF is starting :( Good luck to the rest of you though xx

Jebel · 16/06/2011 11:47

liliana a friend of mine dreamt she gave birth to a cat and shortly after found out she was pg. Apparently the cat dream is quite common (not as a symptom of pregnancy but amongst women with cats who want a baby).

Sorry to hear AF arrived horsey. Enjoy that pate.

HorseyGirl1 · 16/06/2011 08:46

Yes Acceber, sounds like a plan! Bit surprised period came soon, never happened before but I'm kind of glad it caught me off guard IYKWIM. I would have been more disappointed on Friday since I would have been hoping it wouldn't arrive. At least now, I can get it over, dust myself down and start hoping it might be this time. Let's slink down the back of the bus and crack open the soft cheeses and pate for a week before we begin again! anyone else more than welcome to tuck in xx

pommedechocolat · 16/06/2011 08:26

DH has a stomach bug so doubt I will be dtd tonight so another month gone. Ack!
Dreaming definitely a sign liliana!

Liliana1 · 16/06/2011 07:39

I dreamt I was pg last night! Do you think it's a sign or simply that obsession is reaching a new level? Grin

Looking at my ff chart - yes must be obsession- I'm wondering if I have ov'd twice a couple of days apart?!? Is that possible? Think I'm grasping at straws to convince myself we hit the right days Hmm

Glad you got some sleep nonsense, that is a part I'm not looking forward too, I love my sleep!
